About the company.

Why Travel with Globus?

Perfectly Planned. Seriously Stress Free.

After 90-plus years of sharing the world with travelers, Globus has set the gold standard for award-winning touring across virtually every continent. Our global network of premiere travel partners, operations experts, and hospitality pros share one goal in mind—an exceptional travel experience no matter where we travel together.

Beyond the Guidebooks.

While Italy is synonymous with spectacular food, it is the close family connection that brings generations of tradition to the table. Globus goes beyond typical tours to introduce you to local legends and local experiences not found on just any map. Meet the Bonajuto family at Antica Dolceria—the oldest confectionery in Sicily. More than 150 years after the dolceria was founded by Francesco Bonajuto, the family still serves its heavenly chocolates in the same spot, while also serving as international ambassadors of Sicilian cuisine. Che dolce!

Don’t Miss the Must Sees.

Why stand in line to catch a fleeting glimpse of ancient ruins and remarkable historic sites? Globus gives you VIP access with an expert Local Guide to go deeper, get closer, and soak it all in. From the Parthenon to the Vatican museums, you’ll explore Europe’s most beloved locations without getting lost in a crowd or waiting in line. Don’t just file past masterpieces like Michelangelo’s David or get only a hurried look at the Crown Jewels in Edinburgh Castle. Experience Europe’s extraordinary sights—and historic sites—with the VIP access you deserve.

Dreams Realized.

The Colosseum. The Prado. Saint Paul’s Cathedral. Each Globus tour always includes the legendary landmarks, the major attractions, and the must-see sites. Going beyond the iconic exteriors, we lead you to the front of the line, straight through the door, and inside the walls of Europe’s most awe-inspiring places for an exclusive look behind the scenes. With priority access, we ensure you behold the sights you’ve long dreamed of—without waiting any longer!

Do as the Locals Do.

When in Rome—or London, Paris, or Barcelona—we arrange for you to do as the locals do, not just what the tourists do. In every itinerary, we include hands-on, authentic experiences for a true taste of a day in the life. Board a private water taxi through the Grand Canal of Venice, bake scones in an Irish farmhouse, or sample Geysir Schnapps in Iceland. By striking a golf ball at St. Andrews or dancing the Sirtaki while sipping ouzo, you truly get to step into someone else’s shoes and experience the world from an insider’s perspective.

Adventure, a la Carte

While Globus vacations get you up close and personal to the world's must-see sights and unforgettable experiences, we also know the value of spending time on your own to explore as you please. After all, travel is meant to be filled with memorable moments of your own with serendipitous surprises that can’t be planned or scheduled. We build free time into every itinerary so you can leisurely explore the beckoning bookstore, tempting café table, or whimsical window shopping that's schedule free. Don’t wait a lifetime for that once-in-a-lifetime experience that’s waiting just around the corner!

Pick your Passion.

Maybe you’re an art lover, a foodie, or a history buff. Perhaps you’re moved by music, art, cuisine, or theater. Or maybe making tracks in the great outdoors is more your speed. We offer a wide array of optional excursions and activities—tailored to a variety of fitness levels and interests—so you can customize your adventure with your own personal passions and preferences. Each Globus excursion and activity has been personally tested by us and handpicked to allow you to really get to know each destination. You never have to choose between included and optional excursions, since optional activities fit seamlessly with your vacation schedule!

A Friend in Every City.

Join us and a few of our friends in your next dream destination. After all, we’ve spent over 90 years making friends in virtually every city and country in the world who let us in on local secrets, like where to find the best scone, stein, or spumoni; the best people-watching table; or the best view of wide-open spaces. Every Globus vacation includes local experts who share the stories behind the sights and Local Favorites you won’t find in the guidebooks. Globus Tour Directors and Local Guides hail from the region through which you’re traveling. No one is more familiar, passionate, or eager to share insider knowledge than our local pros!

Vietnam Globus Tour

First and foremost, our tour guide Dinh was outstanding. He knows his stuff, excellent customer service and he made our tour great! He even met us at the airport in Hanoi at 1:00 a.m. to get us to our hotel when we first arrived!! Second, our accommodations (including food and beverage services) were all excellent. Third, our daily excursions/activities were all very good and as promised, and more, in the information we received ahead of time. Fourth, the communications by Globus with us was excellent. Confirmations, Travel Documents, Travel Packet and the app were all really good and very useful for us.

Ireland is Great

Recently, toured with Globus on the Irish Escape. My sister and I had a ball. The tour was very organized as always. The Republic of Ireland was welcoming. The people were nice and helpful. We used the public Tran in Dublin and found the people to be hospitable and kind. I would definitely go back. Our guide, Julian, was the perfect host and guide. He was able to to enhance our tour with his vast knowledge.

It was a great trip

It was a great trip. The airport transfers were great. We are very glad we arrived a day ahead of time, which allowed us to adjust to the time difference. We also greatly enjoyed our 2 day extension in Prague. Our tour guide was very nice, and provided historical information during our bus trips. Our bus driver was a gem,and really knew how to navigate the city traffic. We loved that our tour allowed for enough free time to explore on our own. We took advantage of optional tours in each city visited, and enjoyed those. The local guides provided a great orientation to the cities, and provided great historical insights.

Cancelled our Group Reservations without Notice

We made reservations for a Globus tour of some European countries through our travel agent. Our reservations, for our family group of eight people, were made in February (2024) for a tour in the month of July (2024). About two weeks after making the reservations Globus without any explanation cancelled our tour. We ended up having to change our airline ticket dates and went with another touring company. Our travel agent was perplexed as she was given no explanation by Globus. Upon contacting them they said they do this occasionally and do not provide explanation. Pretty sorry related to professionalism and certainly there is no feeling of certainty dealing with Globus. Not recommended!!

Highlights of the South Pacific: New Zealand and Australia

We selected this tour based on the itinerary- it hit all the key spots we were interested in seeing . The online Globus portal allowed us to submit all required docs for international travel and gave details on the hotels and event on our tour. Our tour director Leonie was FABULOUS! She was very knowledgeable, funny, and kept us on schedule. She created a WhatsApp group so we could easily communicate with everyone in the group and share photos. Highly recommend Globus tours!

Our tour director

Our tour director, Christine was absolutely fabulous. She was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, kind, friendly, and went above and beyond to accommodate everyone. Christine really tried to get to know everyone on the tour, their likes and needs. She frequently shared her own personal experiences. It is obvious that she really enjoys her job and also enjoys working with people. The tour took us to fabulous places and the hotels were located in central areas, allowing us to walk to many points of interest.

Our travel guide Ronan was awesome

Our travel guide Ronan was awesome! Unfortunately we got stuck in New Zealand because of a visa problem and the global emergency line never would get back with us to help. We had to figure out and book our own flights to get caught up with our tour. The tour was five stars long as you didn’t have any problems if you are on your tour and you have an emergency problem, you are definitely on your own never heard back from them.

Wildlife experience very good

Wildlife experience very good, Accommodations very good, If your looking for AC in a rainforest you will not get it : ) Excellent drivers and guides. Included tours good. Walk in the clouds could be replaced with Tram ride or Zipline tour. . Optional tours some good others could be better. (riverboat tour) Chocolate/coffee/sugarcane tour at our own cost was excellent. Jorge was a very good tour director. Not knowing about free shuttle from airport to first hotel not cool.

Well organized trip

I enjoyed that the trip was well organized and that we had an excellent guide, who brought Egypt both ancient and modern alive for us. There were a variety of excursions so that participants could pick and choose what interested them.

Beautiful Spain

I really enjoyed all the beautiful places we went and the amazing hotels. Our guide, Jose, was spectacular, and always shared with the group, historical facts about the places we were visiting. The food was very delicious, though I was hoping for some Paella and succulent pig.

Fantastic Journey to Cuba!

It was a very well-planned tour with impeccable precision, experiences, and details. Globus and Cuban guides/directors were superb. Loved the experiences. I did contact Globus after we returned with one problem. At our MKE airport they mandated we give them our immigration papers...said we couldn't fly without the QR code...lady at counter finally gave us the website...Globus needs to prepare people for that.

New Zealand 14 Day North and South Island

Tour Director and two bus drivers were at top of their game. Leonie Brooks was an excellent director, with relevant knowledge, humor and just the right amount of firmness to keep everyone on track and the tour moving through an ambitious itinerary. The included sights were extraordinary, and the home dinner hosted by a Māori family, the Hole in the Rock boat cruise were highlights. Hotels varied in quality and convenience of location. Rydges Wellington and Scenic Franz Joseph were outstanding; Copthorne Bay of Islands and the Ramada Queenstown were inconvenient to town access. The hilly location of the Ramada was challenging for mobility impaired. The optional tour to Walter Peak Farm was well worth it mainly because of the sheep shearing and dog herding demonstration. The lunch stop at the sheep farm in Marston did offer much of value. Overall the tour was excellent. I suggest getting coaches with wifi access for the long rides associated with this itinerary.

This was my second Globus tour

This was my second Globus tour. Michael the tour guide was very knowledgeable, personable and helpful as well as Barry the coach driver, they were both great! Definitely enjoyed this trip. The price was excellent I checked out several tour companies and Globus had the best deals. Booked another trip in November to Ireland. I would definitely recommend Globus Tours.

One checked bag not ncluded in tour price!…

The independent trip to Australia was great however in the included air travel between Cairns and Sydney, we were charged over $220 to check one bag each. The baggage should have been included in our tour booking and Globus has not reimbursed us.

Many stray/wild dogs & cats roaming around in Turkey. Also many archeologist sites very dangerous as steps are not marked & slippery or broken and most places have no railings. One of our friends fell & broke his foot in 3 places so be very careful & I would not recommend for older folks

Exploring beautiful Costa Rica

Our tour involved a variety of experiences, boating on the river to view wildlife, hiking in the cloud forest, walking on hanging bridges and enjoying beautiful beaches. It was well planned and good accommodation. Our tour guide Jorge was exceptional, very knowledgeable and truly loved his country. A very good tour.

We had the most wonderful tour…

We had the most wonderful tour guide/tour director, Robert Marks. He knew so many things and treated us with great respect. We would recommend Globus just based on Robert. In addition we had great accommodations and a small (6 people) group of congenial people.

The Spanish escape was excellent. Loved all the places we visited and our tour director, Benjamin, made it so much fun while also being informative. We lucked up with excellent weather which made all the sightseeing easier. Will definitely use Globus again.

Globus provided the most amazing service

Globus were absolutely brilliant! Even when things didn’t go to plan (went from two of us travelling to just one) they were really helpful at every step of the way. Whilst on holiday I was given contact details for a local travel company who could help with anything I needed, which was vital in helping me feel safe travelling alone. Their app is amazing, with a day by day guide, as long as other really useful features like temperature, currency exchange, helpful phrases etc. I highly recommend this company and I plan to use them again in the future!

Globus took very good care of us

Has any trip advisor had any experiences bad or good with the Globus a travel agency which does escorted European trips. We plan to go to England and Paris and hopefully the community has some pros or cons to share with me. Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

Yes, I have travelled with Globus but I prefer Trafalger. Trafalger is more serious about keeping with the stop every 2 hours rule, and that is a plus. It makes everything easier. Also, they usually have people from more countries. I would chose the Itinerary first, and then see who has the tour that you like better and choose that. The bus tour absolutely stops all family fights about what time you are going to get up or what you are going to see. Globus would be fine.

I have traveled with cosmos - the economy partner of globus. I found it great and worth the money. I was very young but I knew that if I had the money I would have chosen globus for sure!

Just be sure to bring extra cash for all the available optional stuff, as they are mostly worth it. And don't bring too many clothes, you will pack up your suitcase faster than you can believe.

Since you are looking at globus I assume you have the means to do it so I won't discuss everyday money needs, but pls be of good health before attempting a long escorted tour. Also, if you are not a walker, then this is not for you.

Think of it as a field trip.

Just be careful if you have to pick a travel agent to connect to them - mine were okay but was not the best. But that

My only regret was not getting a longer tour, but it was a gift so I couldn't really complain.

I agree with the poster who mentioned Trafalgar. You may want to check them out. In any case Trafalgar and Globus are not travel agencies. If you call one of them they can only tell you about their own company. If you want an expert to draw comparisons for you then you need to go to your local travel agent. No matter where you are there's a AAA Travel nearby along with plenty of other travel agencies. Ask for an agent who specializes in Europe.

Avoid this group of companies, as they're run by the same group just different names (despite them not being able to comment about their different names).

I'm currently doing one of their tours in Europe and although the tour director doing their best at making it a pleasant experience, the booking proccess was a nightmare. Prepare to get ripped off..despite their 'low cost' bsse price tour packages, which basically covers accommodation +breakfast and travel, the optional extras are a rip off. better off doing it yourself and organizing your own accommodation booking.com or hotels.com) and transport via bullett train (eurostar etc) and doing day trips in the cities you visit if you like.

Our experience with Globus was in Bolivia and Peru in 2005, so not current. But our tour manager was excellent and always on top of things. We had three different guides, two were outstanding, and one was just okay. She seemed to know her stuff, but we were put off by her attitudes towards the indigenous people. Our experience with them, though, was excellent overall.

I did the Italy tour back in 2004 with Globus and found it to be a great experience. You pay for the comfort of not worrying about directions, or problems, or the language which I found to be worth it. I'm now looking at doing the Traditional Grand European in 2014.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with Globus travel, I appreciate you taking the time to enlighten me about this company. I look forward to other trip advisor posts about this subject before any decisions made, thanks again

We did the Monograms- part of Globus- tour of Rome, Florence and Venice this past summer and it was excellent.

I personally have not travelled with Globus, but had dealt with them on a professional level.

I recall a 640pax private French/German group, with two chartered 747's occupying an entire hotel. I would say that the logistics would have been a nightmare, had it been handled by another tour operator.

Throughout a week long stay in Sydney, I'd say a great majority could not say enough pleasant things about their journey. Perhaps it was the hotel, perhaps it was the city, but if they were displeased about their travel arrangements, I'm sure it would have reflected in their moods.

So from an outside perspective, they seemed extremely organised and professional. And they have been around for a good part of 20+ years. They must be doing something right.

640 people?!?! On one tour?!

Many wild dogs & cats roaming around in…

The Spanish escape was excellent

Globus took very good care of us. The travel director, bus driver, and local tour guides were exceptional. They all gave us detailed information and history about the sites we were visiting. The travel itineraries were focused and the right pace for adventure.

The Scoop: What to Know About Cosmos

Globus-owned cosmos focuses on affordability and experiences around the world..

Christine Sarkis

The Scoop: What to Know About Trafalgar Tours

  • Considering booking a tour with Cosmos? I’ve distilled everything you need to know before booking into one scannable page.
  • I’ve verified all the details to make sure the information I’m sharing is spot on and updated for 2024.

If you know the tour company Globus , you already have a baseline for understanding Cosmos , since it’s the budget-traveler-minded arm of Globus. Like its sister company, Cosmos has been around for decades: it’s been offering tours for 60 years. It has a wide range of tours around the world and a strong Europe focus.

In addition to its standard coach tours, Cosmos also has a bunch of other, more specialized tour formats, including small group, “undiscovered” (going off the beaten track in popular destinations), and special-event focused tours. New for 2024, Cosmos is launching So Low pricing that waives the single supplement for solo travelers on select tours.

TourScoop Takeaways

Here’s a quick overview of Cosmos:

  • Countries: 60 countries on 5 continents
  • Tour Size Average: 38 (classic tours), 20-24 (Small Group Discoveries)
  • Tour Type: Primarily coach

How to Book

To book, you can pretty easily go direct through Cosmos via its website. You can also look for deals and help using an online travel agent like  Travelstride  or  TourRadar . Cosmos also has a t ravel agent locator tool on its website.

Credibility Check

Cosmos has solid credibility and satisfaction scores. As part of the Globus family of brands, it has BBB Accreditation and an A+ rating. On Trustpilot , its rating is 4.5 out of 5 (up from 4.3 last year), and its guest-review score on TourRadar is 4.2 out of 5.

Tour Destinations

View of zebras on a dirt road on safari in Ngorongoro

Cosmos has a wide reach, with tours in 60 countries on five continents. Among the most popular destinations on its more than 100 different itineraries are Britain and Ireland, Canada, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. It also has a number of tours within the U.S.

Cosmos stands out for its affordability and variety of tour styles, even those who don’t necessarily see themselves as tour-type people. Here’s a rundown of tour types (but note that not every tour type is offered in every destination):

  • Small Group Discoveries :   Small Group Discoveries tours are sized between 20 and 24 people (versus the average traditional tour group size of 38). There are small-group tour options for every tour in Europe and North America, and for some dates on South Pacific tours.
  • Undiscovered Tours :   Both Cosmos and its sister-brand Globus offer these “Undiscovered Tours” designed to take guests off the beaten track and into lesser-known and traveled towns and villages with more time in destination. Born notes that these tours are great for “repeat travelers and for those looking for a more in-depth experience in their chosen destination.”
  • Special Event Tours:   Cosmos Special Event vacations focus on large celebrations in North America (think Albuquerque’s Balloon Fiesta and the Calgary Stampede). These tours offer special benefits like better access, close-up views, and behind-the-scenes experiences.

INSIDER JAPAN: 10 Best Japan Tours for 2024

  • Faith-Based Tours :   Cosmos also offers a range of Faith-Based Vacations that highlight centuries of religious history.  These Christianity-focused tours include sacred locations in the Holy Land, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
  • Cruise and Land Tours : The tour company mixes land and cruise experiences on these tours to destination pairs like the Canadian Rockies and Alaska, and Greece and the Aegean Islands.
  • National Parks Tours : Cosmos has about a dozen U.S. national park focused tours. Some mix train journeys or cruises into the tour itinerary.

You can also search tours that are particularly affordable by looking at its Dreams on a Budget section, which features tours under $1,600 per person. And of note for solo travelers is that the single supplement is waived on select departures each year.

Tour Guides

Cosmos tour guides receive extensive training that includes certification by the destination authority and proficiency in multiple languages. Most are from the country in which they lead tours, and all are selected for their passion for travel and their storytelling abilities. Cosmos tour directors average 20 years with the company.

ARRIVE PREPARED: 10 Things to Know Before Your First Group Tour

In addition to the tour directors, Cosmos has a strong network of local guides, many of whom have worked with the company for years.

Inclusions/Extras

Cosmos was an early pioneer in value touring vacation travel, and focuses on turning people’s travel dreams into reality, even when a budget is tight. Cosmos gets to the lower price point by preserving experiences and finding more affordable (but still conveniently located and of good quality) hotels.

Cosmos tours include experienced Tour Directors, pre-selected hotels, guided city sightseeing, transportation, and select meals, including breakfast each day.

Optional excursions can be purchased pre-trip.  Cosmos can also add flights to and from the tour, with schedules coordinated with the tour.  Flights include complimentary airport transfers to-and from the hotel.  And airport transfers can also be added for land-only guests.

Typical Travelers

The average Cosmos traveler is in their early- to mid-50s. Guests come from a range of generally English-speaking countries, primarily U.S. but also Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Cosmos travelers are an even mix of seasoned travelers and first-timers.  The majority are couples and families, but typically 20%+ are solo travelers.

Communication

The standard pre-trip communication is made up of five emails, including the all-important Travel Packet, with has the detailed itinerary, schedule and flight information (if flights booked through Cosmos), destination information, tips and guidelines on pre-trip requirements and preparation for the destination, and information about booking optional excursions 90 days or closer to the departure date. Vacation planners are available by phone, email and online chat six days a week.

Perfect Fit: How to Choose the Best European Tour for You

Cosmos also has the Cosmos GO app, which provides access to all tour components, including schedules, hotels, included features, destination information, optional excursions, interactive maps and more.  This access is provided pre-trip, 30-40 days prior to departure.

Loyalty Program

The Globus family of brands (Cosmos, along with Globus and Avalon River Cruises) offers a Welcome Back Credit loyalty program. Each trip earns guests up to $250 credit to use on a future trip with any of the brands.

The per-person credit is based on the tour price:

  • $2,499 or Less =   $100 credit
  • $2,500 – $3,499 = $150 credit
  • $3,500 – $4,499 = $200 credit
  • $4,500 & Over =   $250 credit

Guests have two years to book/deposit a vacation using the credit.

Private Options

Any Cosmos Europe tour can be converted into a Private Tour for between one and 24 people. There’s an additional premium, based on the overall number of guests, which is charged for each traveler in addition to the published tour price. Private tour groups get a dedicated tour director, private transportation and driver, and personal, and professional local guides, plus all of the visits and entrances in the original published itinerary. Private tours offer flexibility in both pace and experiences for you and your travel companions. To pursue a private tour with Cosmos, choose your tour from the Cosmos Europe lineup and then contact the company.

Operated by Globus

It began more than 90 years ago, when a young man purchased a boat to transport visitors across Lake Lugano, Switzerland. Who would have thought that this single boat would launch one of the world's leading travel companies? Today, the Globus family of brands is a global company reaching every corner of the world, yet remains family-owned and steeped in the values Antonio Mantegazza had when he set out across Lake Lugano in 1928 - to enlighten travelers by showing them the very best of the destinations we know so well. At Globus, we create first-class escorted tours with just the right balance of included features & free time. We’re all about hidden gems, not hidden charges. We throw in more visits, toss in more experiences & include more sightseeing, all in the price of the vacation.

South America- an amazing continent

It was a wonderful trip made even more special by the fact that all of the guides spoke excellent English. I could understand them immediately and not be a sentence behind trying to figure a word out! Also excellent itinerary and value for money. The places we visited were spectacular

I had some difficulties on this tour ( not the fault of Globus) but our tour director was so helpful and positive too help me get thru every one! Bridgette was amazing! Too see so much in nine days was wonderful, and by the end of the trip everyone was planning where they were going too go next. I was traveling solo, but I loved the camaraderie that was present among everyone!

Wonderful trip

3/2/19-3/8/19 imperial escape.

3/2/19-3/8/19 Imperial Escape - Budapest, Vienna and Prague This is our first trip to Europe through Escapes by Globus and it was fantastic! Even though we only stayed for two nights each we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was in the 40's but it was manageable. Just bring your gloves and hats if you go in March. The hotels we stayed in were centrally located and within walking distance to all the must see places like the Hofsburg in Vienna. We had to take the tram to go to Shonbrunn Palace and it was just a 10 minute ride from Intercity Hotel where we stayed. The only suggestion I would make is to make sure you have plenty of time for your connecting flight. We almost did not make our flight to Budapest because of the long lines in Customs and the X-ray screening in Frankfurt. We were the last to board the plane and almost had a heart attack because Frankfurt Airport is about 1000 miles long and 1000 miles wide if you ask me and you had to take the bus to go up the plane! All in all, I would say I highly recommend Globus Tours! We've caught the travel bug and we will go with Globus Tours again.

My trip to Italy January 27-February 2

My trip to Italy January 27-February 2, 2019 was amazing! From booking to returning home the entire process was smooth and easy. The flights were perfectly timed, the hotel accommodations were top-notch, and the tour director, bus driver and local guides were very personable and professional. The tours were well-planned and chosen to show the best parts of the cities I visited. I would totally recommend Globus and I definitely plan to use their services again!

Winter Refresher

Germany was our second Globus vacation, the first being London/Paris some years ago. Now, as then, we were very satisfied with our experience. Our tour guide and our bus driver were outstanding. The hotels were comfortable and safe. Morning breakfast was always plentiful and we felt free to attend the evening entertainment or not: no pressure there, so we explored on our own and discovered delicious world foods in addition to sampling regional faire. Local tour guides enhanced our knowledge of Berlin and Munich, however the tours on foot of city center Dresden and Augsburg were a real revelation—so much to see there! And our tour group was over the moon shopping in and exploring Rothenburg ob der Tauber, where we stayed in a 500 year old inn. Very fun and relaxing trip abroad. The Globus company kept us well informed of flight details, local conditions, and travel posts, so transits were orderly. All in all recommended!

Globus dozen

We have a dozen Globus Journey adventures under our belt and hopefully more to come. We have always enjoyed Globus travels because Globus takes the worry from travel. We'll always know the days' travel will be interesting, the nightly accommodations will be elegant and the tour guides knowledgable.

This was my first trip to Europe

This was my first trip to Europe. I did not know what to expect, but this wonderful time could not have been more perfect. I was at times speechless and in awe of the history and the beauty. Monica, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable, and her passion made history come alive! She was also protective, like a little mother hen, making sure all of her chicks were accounted for! Of course, I could go on and on, but this is my 5 star review in a nutshell!

Best Vacation Ever!!

This was one of the BEST vacations that I have had in my life. The tour guide, Riccardo, was wonderful. He was very professional, courteous, and informative. What a great guy. We actually added two days to the end of our vacation that ended in Nice and Globus made it so easy to do that. Also, the hotels in Paris and Nice were outstanding with excellent breakfasts!! For the price, I would highly recommend this tour! In fact, whenever a sale price that includes airfare, should occur for an Italian Escape or Switzerland Escape in 2021, please let us know! Thank you for such a wonderful vacation at such an amazing price!!

Tour itself and tour guide was great. Driver was great. As someone who gets very carsick it would have been nice to have control of the vents instead of them being “smart” and controlled by a computer. Included meals fluctuated from decent to not good at all. So much so it was a no brainer to pass for any of the optional meals offered during the tour.

The tour directors were both awesome…

The tour directors were both awesome and extremely knowledgeable. I particularly enjoyed Jordan and felt safe there at all times. The archeology was amazing in Jordan with very little having been rebuilt as it has been in other areas of the world. The hotels were fantastic and the staff was always nice and extremely helpful.

Monica our guide was amazing

Monica our guide was amazing. So knowledgeable and personable. The motor coach was comfortable and great quality. All the selected hotels were exceptional. The only change I would make is a texting the guide option should you wish to skip a tour or go on your own for that time, rather than have to meet in the lobby to say you want to sleep in! Would definitely travel with globus again

Great Portugal Escape!

This was our first trip with Globus and we were pleased with the tour. Rita, our tour guide and did an excellent job. We were kept well informed as to our schedule for each day and evening. The hotel accommodations were excellent in every way. We were given ample time at all the locations to do our own exploring. The pace of the tour was just right as we enjoyed various stops along the way without long drives each day. The optional tours were nice and we would recommend them. This was our ninth European tour and was one of the best!

Fabulous French Escape

Took the French Escape in February 2019, and can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed it! Our tour guide, Riccardo, was fantastic! He did a wonderful job organizing all the details, everything was seamless, and he was a lot of fun and made the trip very enjoyable. He was also very accommodating of everyone’s needs and made excellent recommendations. Our driver, Matteo, was also wonderful and did a great job getting us around and navigating some tricky spots. We really enjoyed our trip, and would highly recommend to anyone!

From our tour directory to our driver…

From our tour directory to our driver to the specialty guides for individual sites our experience was flawless. A wonderful way to get an introduction to the sites, sounds and tastes of northern Italy and to wet your appetite for future adventures.

Great Experience!

Tour guide was great, the rooms were cozy and nice, and the bus was very comfortable with lots of room. On the day we were returning, our tour guide, Riccardo, got up at 4:00 a.m. and made sure that every single person on the trip got to the airport on time with their luggage with the courtesy van. Couldn't be happier with the amenities, and would recommend for anyone looking to get a lot of bang for buck and a nice overview and introduction to some sites in a country you are unfamiliar with.

Spanish Escape

It was a great trip. The hotel in Barcelona had a temperature issue. The rooms were uncomfortably warm. The were issues at the Frankfort airport - not Globus' fault. Overall though, it was wonderful!!!!

Outstanding vacation

Went to Portugal with Globus and would recommend this Portugal escape to anyone. We absolutely loved every minute of this trip. Globus exceeded our expectations in every way. The bus driver, Sergio, was top notch. Our guide Rita was a wealth of knowledge and so much fun to be with every day. We were so impressed with everything. We will definitely travel with Globus again.

Re: Globus travel. I personally have not travelled with Globus, but had dealt with them on a professional level. I recall a 640pax private French/German group, with two chartered 747's occupying an entire hotel. I would say that the logistics would have been a nightmare, had it been handled by another tour operator.

Went on the Southern Spain Escape. The included sightseeing was great, but the pacing was off -- not enough or, in other cases, ANY time to buy souvenirs.
