Boston to Bermuda Cruises
Bermuda cruises from Boston are available April to October. They are offered by Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania. See the full schedule of departures below.
Bermuda sand really is pink, and the lifestyle is fascinatingly British. Explore the islands on motor scooters or bicycles. Shop in the upscale stores for fine products from around the world. Try Bermuda's spicy food. Snorkel or scuba-dive on the beautiful barrier reef. Play golf on one of the 8 world famous courses. It all adds up to a great vacation, which you can preview on this video.
At St George's, Bermuda you'll be taken back through 400 years of history. See the original masonry buildings and narrow streets from the 17th and 18th centuries. The United Nations named the Historic Town of St. George and related fortifications a World Heritage Site.
Hamilton is the entertainment and shopping center of Bermuda. The city's focal point is Front Street, a harborfront road lined with turn-of-the-century Victorian buildings in bright pastel colors. Many have overhanging verandahs, where you can have lunch and watch the boats cross the harbor. Attractions include the Bermuda Cathedral, the Historical Society Museum, Botanical Gardens, Aquarium, and the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art. Fort Hamilton is one of a series of forts built in the 19th century during a period of tension between Britain and the USA.

2023 Bermuda Cruises
Bermuda’s pink-sand beaches are waiting to welcome you during our new 2023 season, and we can already taste the rum swizzles. Our stunningly revolutionized Celebrity Summit® will again offer blissful island getaways, with some sailings featuring incredible stops along the way, too—including a new port of call, Martha’s Vineyard.
Our perfectly timed 7-night escapes sail round trip from Cape Liberty, New Jersey throughout June and July. Every sailing gets you up close and personal with the Statue of Liberty on your way to Bermuda, where you’ll have three days and two nights to discover all the island has to offer. Kick back on the world-famous Horseshoe Bay Beach, and snorkel the crystal-clear waters. Soak up the island’s rich British history. Enjoy a night (or two) on the town, exploring the restaurants and bars lining Front Street. As much as Bermuda has to offer, this is just the beginning.
Our 9- and 10-night Bermuda sailings visit more must-see destinations along the East Coast in May. Discover historic Newport, Rhode Island, with spectacular cliffside mansions that will take you back to the Gilded Age. Fall in love with the southern charm of Charleston, South Carolina, with its cobblestone streets and delicious low-country cuisine. Our 10-night sailings give you one or two full nights to explore it. And, new for 2023, we’re visiting Martha’s Vineyard, just south of Cape Cod. This island’s understated glamor has made it an A-list hot spot for decades, offering great beaches, classic New England lighthouses, and fresh seafood. All these 2023 escapes are now open for booking, so plan yours today.
Itineraries
Bermuda's new port, martha's vineyard, massachusetts.
Just off Cape Cod’s southern coast, the island of Martha’s Vineyard is the ultimate New England escape. Beach lover? There are nearly 20 to choose from, and they’re all pristine. The seafood is second to none. And the small island is home to six unique towns that are all worth exploring for their quaint coastal architecture, one-of-kind galleries and boutiques, and cozy cafés. With all the island’s charm and understated glamor, it’s easy to see why Martha’s Vineyard has long been a celebrity hot spot—and simply a great island getaway for anyone looking to unwind.

Customer reviews for Norwegian Pearl
Sailed with NCL several times and on several of their ships. The Pearl is a smaller ship but that does not detract from the fact that there is an abundance of dining options, bars and so much to do. Staff/Crew are second to non and the fabric of the ship is well looked after. Found no issues with quality of food or drinks or entertainment. Embarking and Disembarking wasn't too strenuous and we chase to "carry off" our own cases at end of the cruise as this enabled us to finish packing next morning and not previous night. One negative is that whilst we had a drinks package which included premium coffee, you can not have premium coffee in the Atrium!
Enjoyable Med Cruise on the Norwegian Pearl. Pros - Good Value - Clean - Not too busy - Nice food - Informal - Family friendly - International cruisers Cons - Staff inconsistent - Entertainment - Indirect flights - Sunbed policing non-existent
Great cruise , great ship great food cabin good , inside great destinations , Baltic , 10 countries - st . Petersburg , the high light staff excellent schedule on time , excellent. entertainment - 27th may to 7th june - below par - no Asian shows , their were a lot of Asians on board. alcoholic drinks , excessively expensive money - poor , only usd when travelling Europe - what about the EURO no tv schedule of programmes , had to ask the main desk !! European soccer cup final was a may be on tv , half the ship wanted to watch this , not American ? when in rome do as the romans do . worst art auctions I have seen , a lot of screaming , even for paintings not sold . note; when travelling Europe , try accommodate the passengers you have , ie non American
OK bad news first - as expected, things on board are expensive and there will be people trying to persuade you to part with lots of money for goods or services. It can also be difficult to get coffee in the very early hours of the morning. That said the ship was great, the facilities were excellent and as described. The staff (particularly cabin , bar and dining room) were fantastic, The entertainment was varied and interesting (and included Funky Roots, the best band I have seen in a long time) and the itinerary was excellent. Yes, it isn't cheap but this cruise was worth every penny we paid and we thoroughly enjoyed it and can definitely recommend Norwegian Cruise Lines, The Norwegian Pearl and the Baltic cruise.

DAY 2 04 Aug 2023 Time at Port: from 8 AM to 4 PM
Among the oldest established cities in the US, Boston has a long history from the days of independence up to modern times as the home of the world famous Boston Red Sox. A trip to Boston has to include catching a game of baseball and a walk along the Freedom Trail, with stop-offs at renowned sites telling the story of the American Revolution. Visitors can also find authentic, classic Boston cuisine at many different Boston Food Trucks across the city.
Boston’s legendary baseball ground and home of the world-famous Boston Red Sox since 1912, making it the oldest stadium in US baseball. If you’re a sports fan, a tour of the proud history at the stadium is a must, or even catch a game and soak up the legendary atmosphere.
Freedom trail is the best way to learn about how the start of the American war of independence and the revolution affected the history and outlook of Boston and wider America. With sixteen historical sites and over two and a half miles of scenic walking, this is a must-visit for all ages.
The city’s historic market place boasting interior and exterior stalls and stores, with plenty of places to grab a bite to eat, as well as three old market buildings ideal for a flavour and feel of Boston life.
Established in 1870, Boston’s art museum boasts being the fifth largest in overall size in the USA and one of the most extensive collections of artworks with around 450,000 individual pieces to view, from ancient Egypt to French impressionist and Dutch golden age exhibitions.

An enchanting land of pink sand and turquoise waters — discover that paradise is in fact a reality. Bermuda may be so British that the police are constables and the countries share a royal family, but the traditional Bermudan breakfast is codfish, potato and banana — yep, this island puts its own spin on tradition. Sail on Carnival's Bermuda cruises and you'll experience this unique cultural cocktail, along with a serious helping of natural beauty. This palette of an island, combining green hills, pastel-colored homes, and pink-sand beaches makes the perfect backdrop for world-class golf, glass-bottom boats, swimming with dolphins, mountain biking and shopping. And thanks to the mild, comfortable climate, tea time's an outdoor event, year-round. Treat yourself to a getaway that's both proper and perfectly relaxed when you choose one of Carnival's cruises to Bermuda.

Cruise from Boston, Massachusetts
The city steeped in history.
On a cruise from Boston, you'll discover why so many people flock to one of the oldest cities in America. Central to the places you want to visit, like the quaint coasts of the Northeast and Canada or the exotic islands of Bermuda, Barbados and Aruba, Boston is not only a doorway to the past, it's also a doorway to the future. Before embarking on your next vacation, enjoy some of the top places to visit in Boston from the sprawling greenery of Boston Common Park to the Public Garden. Walk along the iconic cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill, or follow the 2.5-mile Freedom Trail that will lead you past 16 historical sites including the grave of John Hancock and the home of Paul Revere. Boston offers countless things to discover, from colonial history to cutting edge innovation.
THE CITY OF FIRSTS
For history buffs, Boston is paradise. It's home to the first public park, first public school and first subway system in the nation, known locally as "the T." It was also home to the Big Dig, which was a massive urban planning project — one of the most expensive of all time in the U.S.
DISCOVER THE INNOVATION
Boston is one of the most innovative cities in the world. Not only is it extremely accessible for both walkers and bikers alike, but it's home to renowned research institutions like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard and Tufts.
GET SPOOKED IN SALEM
Just outside of Boston, there's plenty more to explore. A quick train ride will bring you to Salem, Massachusetts. When you extend your stay, you can't miss this spooky town — known for its rich witch trial history and eerie haunted homes.
Serenade of the Seas
There’s never been a better time to wander north. And with over three acres of glass exterior, you’ll score incredible views throughout Serenade of the Seas ®. Head to the solarium to soak up the sun. And indulge with mouthwatering dishes from Tokyo to Italy.
EXPLORE SERENADE OF THE SEAS
Grandeur of the Seas
From thrilling rock climbing to jaw-dropping entertainment that rocks, Grandeur of the Seas ® is your ticket to a memory-maxing from Boston. Fill your days with colorful fall scenery. Take your tastebuds on a gourmet globetrotting adventure. And dial up your nights with stellar entertainment.

USS Constitution with Downtown Skyline, Boston, Massachusetts
Walk the 2.5-mile, red-lined Freedom Trail past 16 historical sites. See the grave of John Hancock, old meetinghouses, famous churches, the home of Paul Revere, the site of the Boston Massacre, Quincy Market and the USS Constitution— Old Ironsides— the world’s oldest commissioned warship still floating today.
Two If By Sea
Gloucester Lighthouse Harbor, Boston, Massachusetts
See Boston from the water while on a scenic sightseeing harbor cruise. Check out the city’s historic skyline, bridges spanning the Charles River, and Boston’s harbor islands. You can sail by wooden schooner, take a climate-controlled boat ride, or enjoy a fully narrated Duck Tour in a WWII-style amphibious landing craft.
Steeped In History
Step aboard a full-scale restored 18th-century boat and explore American history at the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museums during your Boston cruise. Let historical interpreters, artifacts, and an award-winning film engage you in the story of the Sons of Liberty, whose infamous political protest helped ignite the American Revolution.
Local Cuisine
Nothing beats eating a New England lobster roll by the harbor. And don’t miss Union Oyster House, one of America’s oldest restaurants, for Island Creek oysters and their famous clam chowder. Try Boston baked beans and scrod fish fillets. Parker House rolls and Boston cream pie were both conceived here too— and head to the North End for Italian-American fare, especially sweet cannoli.
Newbury Street offers a mix of upscale retailers and art galleries. Converse shoes were born here — design your own pair at the flagship store. Cruise to Boston and brattle Book Shop sells rare first editions in a hidden alleyway. Or stop by Faneuil Hall for handbags, scrimshaw items and jewelry hand-made by local artisans.

Ten of the best small-ship cruises
Not a fan of mega-ships our cruise expert has picked the best boutique sailings to keep things exclusive and adventurous.
T here’s something special about small-ship cruising. You’ll feel a deeper connection to the sea, and there’s a certain pleasure from being docked in chic little ports among the superyachts or anchored in a remote bay far from the crowds. Of course, there won’t be Broadway shows and a choice of restaurants, but simplicity is all part of the appeal. Here are ten of the best small-ship cruises for this year and next.

1. Authentic Caribbean
Explore some of the tiniest islands in the Caribbean on Ponant’s smallest ship: the swish, recently refurbished sailing yacht Le Ponant, which carries just 32 passengers. Sail from Marigot on St Martin to Prickly Pear Cays on Anguilla, St Barts, Nevis, Falmouth Bay on Antigua, Barbuda and the chic Îles des Saintes in Guadeloupe — in other words some of the most seductive islands in the region. On board you can expect the fine dining and service that comes from the ship’s partnership with Relais & Châteaux. Details Seven nights’ all-inclusive from £5,550pp, including excursions, departing on March 8, 2025 (uk.ponant.com). Fly to St Maarten and back from Guadeloupe
2. Croatia under sail
Explore Croatia in detail on the classic schooner Kairos, which sails out of medieval Trogir to Vis, Hvar and Korcula, as well as lesser-known islands and anchorages, depending on wind speed and direction. With just 16 passengers and seven crew on board, this is small-ship luxury at its best — and you don’t have to help to sail the boat unless you want to do so. When you’re at anchor, jump straight into the warm Adriatic. Evenings are spent either in lively towns or anchored in remote bays. Details Seven nights’ full board from £3,025pp, departing on August 10 (venturesailholidays.com). Fly to Split
3. Butlers in the Bahamas
This 12-night cruise zigzags from New York to Bermuda for an overnight stay, through the Bahamian islands of San Salvador, Exuma and Honeymoon Harbour on tiny Gun Cay, then on to Miami before ending back in Nassau. Expect luxury all the way, with a butler service, an open bar and helicopter trips, plus a submarine and water toys to play on when the ship’s marina platform is down, which is often. Scenic Eclipse carries just 228 passengers, with the vibe of a swish private yacht in its glossy lounges and smart, high-ceilinged cabins. Details Twelve nights’ all-inclusive from £6,914pp, including flights, private transfers, tips, wi-fi and excursions, departing on October 12 (scenic.co.uk)

4. turkey as you please.
Muster a group of 12 and you can charter a gulet for a blissful week exploring the Turquoise Coast of Turkey. Sailing from Bodrum, you’ll travel on the gleaming wooden Salamander, which comes with a crew of four, including a chef. Visit pretty fishing villages and drop anchor in pine-scented bays surrounded by green mountains for swimming off the boat, as well as playing on the water toys. On board are six en suite cabins and plenty of lounging space on deck, where you’ll also have meals. Details Seven nights’ full board (excluding two dinners) from £22,870 for 12, including transfers and house wine, departing on June 24 (salamandervoyages.com). Fly to Bodrum
5. New year in the Seychelles
Spend more than a week over the new year pottering around the dreamy Seychelles on Emerald Cruises’ sleek, 100-passenger Azzurra, visiting Praslin; rugged Curieuse, home to Aldabra giant tortoises; La Digue, location of the much-photographed Anse Source d’Argent beach; and Aride Island Nature Reserve, a breeding site for seabirds. You can snorkel and paddleboard off the back of the ship, which has a distinct superyacht feel thanks to an infinity pool and lovely alfresco dining area. Details Seven nights’ all-inclusive from £5,445pp, including flights, tips, wi-fi and some activities, departing on December 29 ( emeraldcruises.co.uk )
• Ten river cruises for adventurous travellers
6. Amazon adventure
Trace the northeast coastline of South America on a 19-night expedition on Swan Hellenic’s smart SH Vega, which carries 158 passengers. You’ll start in Barbados and head to Trinidad, but this is no ordinary Caribbean cruise — the next stop is Georgetown in Guyana, then it’s the volcanic Salvation Islands, a former penal colony off the coast of French Guiana now returned to nature. From the Brazilian town of Iquiqui you’ll head into the Amazon rainforest in search of jaguars and pink river dolphins. While in Brazil there’s also a chance to see the rippling white sand dunes ofLençois Maranhenses National Park and the Unesco world heritage town of Olinda before arriving in colourful Bahia. Details Nineteen nights’ all-inclusive from £6,980pp including wi-fi, taxes, excursions and a night in Barbados, departing on October 12, 2025 (swanhellenic.com). Fly to Barbados
7. Maritime history on east-coast US
Sail from Boston to New York City on American Cruise Lines’ 90-passenger American Independence, built for the shallow inlets and rivers of the US east coast. You’ll learn about the history of Boston and call at arty, boho coastal towns packed with maritime history. Plymouth was the first pilgrim settlement, while yachtie Newport is known for its opulent seaside estates and lobster. Old Saybrook, settled in 1635, is one of oldest towns in Connecticut, while Sag Harbor is famed for its art galleries and endless beaches. Details Seven nights’ all-inclusive from £5,999pp, including flights, excursions and a night in a hotel pre-cruise, departing on September 29 (fredholidays.co.uk)
8. Tall ship Atlantic crossing
Crossing the Atlantic under sail is special; you’ll have days to commune with the ocean, leaving the stresses of everyday life behind. Join the 170-passenger tall ship Star Flyer in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria — the city from which Columbus set sail in 1492. There’s a stop at the Canary island of La Gomera, then 13 days at sea as you head west to the Tropics, making landfall at St Maarten. On board you can help the crew with the sails, splash around in the pool, have a Thai massage and — on this sailing, which has a yoga theme — practise your sun salutations. Details Fifteen nights’ full board from £2,015pp, departing on November 15 (starclippers.co.uk). Fly to Gran Canaria and back from St Maarten
9. Tempting Tahiti
Discover Tahiti in all its high-definition beauty on the small ship Star Breeze, which carries 312 and is based in Papeete. You’ll visit dreamy islands including Bora Bora, Huahine, Moorea and Raiatea on a seven-night meander through French Polynesia, with swimming in turquoise lagoons, rainforest hikes and visits to vanilla plantations and ancient sacred sites on the agenda. One night there’s a special dinner on a private island, followed by a fire-dancing display under the stars. Details Seven nights’ all-inclusive from £6,200pp, including flights and a night in a hotel pre-cruise, departing on October 17 (windstarcruises.com; book by June 30)
10. Wellness in the Cyclades
Potter round the lesser-visited Greek islands of the Cyclades on the 50-passenger Elysium, a tiny ship that can anchor in smaller harbours, away from the mainstream cruise ships. There’s an emphasis on healthy Greek food for meals onboard, and you can choose the most inviting taverna in town for either lunch or dinner each day. A wellness coach travels on every cruise to help balance mind and body, with yoga, meditation and hiking on offer. On a seven-night Divine Cyclades cruise you’ll sail from Athens and visit islands including Delos, Naxos, Milos, Serifos and Kythnos, as well as big-hitters such as Santorini and Ios. Details Seven nights’ half-board from £2,530pp, departing on September 7 (elixir.cruises). Fly to Athens
