Best & amazing boat trip to Blue caves and Shipwreck

We were searching online and came across this company. We didn't mind taking into consideration some other when we came there. But as we parked our car, we saw Theodosi Cruises and got the best first impression that made us really decide for it. We would make jokes with staff members and they would explain the route to us. They are really friendly and nice, show interest for you ... their way of attracting customers is definitely successful We waited as they said and went on tour with enough big group to fill the boat but not being overcrowded. Boat is little old and isn't that big but it was perfect for that trip. Captain was really skillful and funny. He was "driving" fast through water and waves but that made our trip amazing. Although we couldn't land on the beach of Shipwreck due to closed beach, he stopped there for some time to take photos. We went into blue caves as the boat was perfect-sized for it. As we saw all this (plus the amazing cliffs and rocks with mixture of blue colors), we stopped for a swim where water was still (so even people who didn't swim wouldn't feel sick). We were swimming there for some time and actually swim in blue caves which was magical experience! After swim, we headed back to the start. Price for both Blue caves and Shipwreck (lasted about 2,5 hours) was 30€ per person. We find it absolutely worth our money and made even more perfect our trip to Zakynthos! Must do list on Zakynthos ️

This post needs to be made. This business is so pushy and rude to everyone who is not part of their tour group. I listened as guests waiting for another cruise were told they could not sit on an unmarked bench when very few people were near the pier. Their cruise boat is overcrowded with people and definitely tries to be a monopoly business harrassing others to the point of making everyone uncomfortable . If you want cramed on a boat with other people, don't mind other businesses clients being harassed, go ahead but I'd never go again.

Small boat but large enough to feel safe . Great captain taking the boat right into the cave with great precision ! No pressure to book - but looked the best presentation on the shore line . Just a perfect 2 1/2 hrs, swimming and knowledge of the tour . Thank you

We had an amazing trip! Captain of the boat had a lot of humor and was great with our kids. Been on multiple boat trips on holidays, this one was by far the best we have been on, thanks to the care and passion of the captain, who was going above and beyond to make this special.

Very beautiful and amazing place, and good people with good explanations. Low season with no people and easy to enjoy.

We immediately had a great feeling about Theodosis Cruises when we passed by the office for information the day before our boat trip. We had a very friendly and funny captain and he made sure that we’ve got the full experience of shipwreck beach and blue caves for €25 each for a trip of 3 hours. The captain brought us on shipwreck beach for about 1 hour so you don’t need to swim to reach it. When leaving shipwreck beach, he intentionally turned around a few times to make beautiful pictures. The boat for +/- 20 persons was small enough to sail close to the island to have nice views, pass by the remains of the monastery of San Andreas island, to go into the main blue cave and to pass through the blue cave arches. We were given the opportunity to swim into one of the caves of 30 meters deep and it was a memorable experience. We would totally recommend Theodosis Cruises.

Blue Caves - Shipwreck

The tour starts from the harbor of St. Nicholas in Volimes. Our first stop is at the Shipwreck where we make a pause for photos. Additionally, we stop for a refreshing swim at another beach near the Shipwreck, allowing you to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the area. Our boat reaches very close to the sand, facilitating easy access to the beach, where you have enough time to relax, see the Shipwreck, and swim. After this delightful break, we continue our journey to the Blue Caves, where you can admire the entire northern coast of Zakynthos and the Cape Schinari. Most tours don't go into the caves due to the large size of the vessels, but we are the only ones that take you inside, making this experience truly unforgettable! In the Caves, you have the opportunity to swim and marvel at this remarkable natural phenomenon.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

theodosis cruises avis

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

theodosis cruises avis

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

theodosis cruises avis

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

theodosis cruises avis

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

theodosis cruises avis

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

theodosis cruises avis

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

theodosis cruises avis

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
