Get ready to crank up the volume and keep the summer vibes alive because the Red Hot Summer Tour is back and it’s hotter than ever. The festival is hitting the road again, bringing the best of live music to regional Australia, and the Hunter Valley is on the map.

The lineup is bound to get you moving and singing along, featuring plenty of Aussie music icons.

With Jimmy Barnes, The Living End, Birds of Tokyo, Pete Murray, Kasey Chambers, and Mahalia Barnes and the Soulmates taking to the stage, you know you're in for a treat.

After a slight delay due to Jimmy Barnes needing some time to mend after open heart surgery earlier this year, the tour is hitting Roche Estate in Pokolbin this April. This open-air venue ensures that every seat is the best seat in the house, so don't forget to bring your camp chair and settle in for an epic day of music outdoors.

There’ll be a wide range of food and drink options available on the day, so you'll be spoilt for choice to keep you fuelled while you enjoy the festival.

Rain, hail, or shine, the show will go on. Grab your mates, bring a camp chair, and get keen for a day of music you won’t soon forget.

The truly epic Red Hot Summer Tour has revealed the set times for this weekend.

The Red Hot Summer Tour is set to bring the likes of Paul Kelly, Bernard Fanning, Missy Higgins and more to the Mornington Racecourse on January 14 and 15. Check out the set times of this iconic, all-Australian festival below.

Tour promoter Duane McDonald says the new run of shows in Perth, Hunter Valley, Jacobs Well, Darwin and Cairns will see the Red Hot Summer Tour on the road until May 2023. “The response to this tour has been extraordinary,” he says. “We are so excited to be able to take this tour all around Australia and we can’t wait to get started.”

“We’re really looking forward to these shows. The last two years have brought home how precious live music is. To us and to those who come. We need each other. We’re going to bring it, give our all and play each show as if it’s our last. Because you never know what’s around the corner,” Paul Kelly says.

Series One of THE RED HOT SUMMER TOUR Announced

The RED HOT SUMMER TOUR is gearing up for a massive 2024, kicking it all off with a huge Series One announcement headlined by Jimmy Barnes, with The Living End, Birds of Tokyo, Pete Murray, Kasey Chambers & Mahalia Barnes and the Soulmates. The Series launches in Western Australia at the end of 2023, and rolls into 2024 with shows in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania.

For tour promoter Duane McDonald, the announcement of Series One is the start of what will be one of the biggest years for the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR yet. “We are so excited to start off the 2024 RED HOT SUMMER TOUR with Jimmy Barnes and friends,” he says. “Thank you to everyone who continues to support live music at the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR year after year. We look forward to seeing you again this summer!”

Jimmy Barnes, affectionately known by all as Barnesy, is the heart and soul of Australian rock and roll. He has 20 #1 albums under his belt, more than The Beatles, has sold more records in Australia than any other rock and roll artist, and for over 40 years, he has delivered some of our most intense and iconic live performances. He is truly in a league of his own. His third book, Killing Time: Short Stories from the Long Way Home, was released in 2020 and debuted at #1 on the non-fiction book charts, as did its predecessors, Working Class Boy and Working Class Man. Never one to slow down, Jimmy also has penned two books – a children’s book, Rosie the Rhinoceros , and a cookbook with his wife Jane, Where the River Bends.

Jimmy Barnes says he is looking forward to the Series One shows. “I’m very happy to be hitting the road with the RED HOT SUMMER TOUR,” he says. “After my surgery, I am happy to announce that not only am I back on my feet, I’m fitter and stronger than I’ve been in years. So, let’s get ready to rock! We’re being joined on these shows by The Living End, Birds of Tokyo, Pete Murray, Kasey Chambers and my fabulous daughter Mahalia Barnes and her band the Soulmates. It’s a great line-up and it will be a killer tour. I look forward to seeing you all there.”

The Living End are considered Australian rock legends, and for good reason. Their blistering live performances have seen them perform far and wide, and their reputation precedes them, they rock from the first note to the last. When The Living End first smashed onto the scene in 1997 with their double-A single Prisoner of Society and Second Solution , they embraced a new Australian sound and fans and critics sat up and listened. Since then, they have released seven studio albums, two of which have debuted at #1 on the ARIA Chart – four of those are Platinum and two are Gold. They have been nominated for an incredible 27 ARIA Awards.

Birds of Tokyo are considered the soundtrack of contemporary Australia. With three chart topping albums, jam-packed with Top 10 hits such as Good Lord, Plans, Unbreakable, and Lanterns , they have grown from independent roots to become one of our most popular bands. They’ve performed at the AFL Grand Final twice, the NRL State of Origin and performed with the likes of Bon Jovi, Muse and Midnight Oil. Her follow-up – Barricades & Brickwalls – saw her become the first Australian country artist to have a simultaneously #1 single and album. She also continued to win accolades, drawing music fans in with her honesty. Kasey hasn’t stopped since and is considered one of Australia’s gifted and enduring talents.

Born into Australian rock royalty and influenced by the music her father, Jimmy Barnes, recorded and played, Mahalia Barnes naturally began singing at a very young age. Red Hot Summer Start Times For Simple Minds/Icehouse Shows Victoria

Simple Minds and Icehouse will reunite for Red Hot Summer this weekend with two shows, Saturday in Mornington and Sunday in the Yarra Valley.

In 1981 Simple Minds first toured Australia opening for Icehouse after Icehouse first toured the UK opening for Simple Minds. 43 years later, the double header is happening again.

Icehouse will close Mornington on Saturday night while Simple Minds headline for Sunday night show.

Here are the running times for all acts this weekend at Red Hot Summer.

Hunter Tent Stay | Red Hot Summer Tour 2024

Event description, hunter valley camping accommodation option for attendees to events in the area., (purchase event tickets to red hot summer tour - rescheduled date  - 6 april 2024 -  here ), turn your accommodation into a relaxing weekend, with hunter tent stay located at dashville.

Dashville is a secluded bushland venue and campground, located at Lower Belford, just 15 mins from Bimbadgen, 20 mins from Hope Estate, Dalwood Estate and Roche Estate, with simple access from Sydney via the Hunter Expressway.

Dashville is the perfect option for those looking for cheap and stress free accommodation whilst attending events in the Hunter Valley vineyard region.

Renowned for our own unique music and arts festivals, there's plenty of space and facilities for a comfortable stay.

Given we're an events ground, we usually like to make a weekend of it, with a Friday evening of live music and dinner and drinks to roll into (subject to quantity of tickets purchased). 

A hot breakfast is provided the morning after each nights stay. It's a popular inclusion, which takes the hassle out of bringing cooking equipment. 

Live music is not confirmed until we know that there's enough people coming to stay. In any case, it comes at no further charge to you.

We suggest taking up the two night stay, as waking up twice in serenity makes it a truly relaxing time away!

There's activities for kids, they can bring pushbikes, skateboards etc. There are sandpits and play equipment, with lots of room to run around. Check out the venue website for more info on this.

CHECK IN TIMES - You can arrive anytime from 2pm Friday, or 9am Saturday.
