Born Austin Richard Post, Post Malone is an American rap artist, singer, and songwriter. He is most recognized for his vocal vibrato, as well as his ability to blend multiple musical genres including hip-hop, pop, R&B, rap, and trap.

At a young age, Malone became interested in the music of Bob Dylan, and he often cites Dylan as one of his biggest musical influences. The heavily tattooed Malone sports a tattoo of Dylan in honor of the musician's profound impact. He also credits Kurt Cobain, Johnny Cash, Key!, 50 Cent, and Kanye West as influences.

Malone’s interest in music began early. His father, who worked as a DJ for a time, introduced Malone to many different styles of music while he was growing up. He was inspired to learn the guitar at the age of 14 after watching someone play the video game Guitar Hero. While still in high school, he created a mixtape titled Young and After Them Riches.

Malone's career began in early 2011 and initially gained national attention with the 2015 release of his first single, "White Iverson." The song soared up the charts, climbing to number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100. After the release of "White Iverson," Malone landed a recording contract with Republic Records in 2015.

His first album Stoney debuted in 2016. The RIAA diamond-certified single "Congratulations," featuring Quavo, was included on the album. The song is one of Malone's most successful recordings, setting a record for most weeks on the US Billboard Top R&B and Hip-Hop Albums charts.

His sophomore album, Beerbongs & Bentleys, debuted in 2018 at number one on the US Billboard 200 and broke multiple streaming records. The album also contained two number-one hit singles: "Rockstar," featuring 21 Savage, and "Psycho," featuring Ty Dolla Sign. Beerbongs & Bentleys was nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards.

His third number-one hit, "Sunflower," with Swae Lee, was the lead single for the movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack in 2018. The song also appeared on Malone's third album, Hollywood's Bleeding, which was released in 2019. The album became Malone's second number-one smash. The second single from the album was "Circles," which also reached number one.

The fourth album, Twelve Carat Toothache, dropped in June 2022 and featured two US top-ten singles: "I Like You (A Happier Song)" with Doja Cat and "One Right Now" with The Weeknd.

Malone has won numerous awards, including Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards. Additionally, he's been nominated for nine Grammy Awards. He is among the best-selling contemporary music artists in the US, boasting nearly 80 million record sales.

The documentary Runaway features behind-the-scenes footage from Malone's 2019 Runaway Tour and performances from the tour's New York City and Chicago sets.

Following the release of Twelve Carat Toothache, Malone embarked on a 33-city North American tour to promote the album. Featuring Roddy Ricch, the tour continued through November 2022.

Live reviews

There were two different aspects of the concert. The crowd, and Post Malone himself. I am so disappointed in the everyone around me in the crowd. Over 20 people had to be pulled out because they had passed out because of alcohol, other substances, or being overcrowded or trampled. A boy had to be pulled out because his arm was snapped in half. I was almost pulled out because I felt like my ribs were going to break because of the pressure when people pushed forward. People kept pushing to the front, causing pain to everyone there, and they were rude while they did it. My friend and I lost our other friend and when we texted her she told us that a man tried to take her out of the venue. She needed help but we couldn't reach her. Again, the crowd was absolutely terrible.

Post Malone himself did not come out until 40 minutes after he was supposed to because not everyone was in the venue. Him being late added to the frustration and pain I felt being slammed against the gate and squished between rude concert goers. Once he came on, the pushing and shoving did not cease but he was a great performer. I am glad I did not get pulled out. Although it was extremely painful he performed beautifully and it was 100% worth the pain.

I love Post Malone. Sadly his fans were such awful people we had to leave before he even came on. People were being crushed during the concert, people were passing out left and right and many people could barely breath. The fans were complete assholes about it to. People were shoving their way to the front (with people in the back already pushing you in so you can't back up) when there is absolutely no room to do so and then when you call them out and tell them there is no room they need to go back to the back they yell at you, cuss you out and then make fun of you. I personally saw at least 5 people pass out and as we left in disgust of the crowds behavior in the middle of the show we saw two ambulances in the back alley behind the venue helping several people who needed medical attention. I saw another review of his concert saying the same things. They even mentioned a guy broke his arm from being crushed and trampled. No matter how much I love Post Malone I wouldn't attend another of his concerts even if it were free.

I seen him yesterday 6/31/15 in Boston. I had front row stance. I was leaning on the sliver bench, any who. He was an amazing preformer. He gave us a great show hands down. Interactive with the crowd, dancing, usage of the whole stage ect.

My down side unfortunately is that we spent more time waiting for him to preform than actually seeing him preform. As a fan, I expected the show not to last too long seeing as he is a blooming artist and all his songs got leaked, we knew what songs to expect. (He did forget to preform 'Holyfield') Back to the point, all in all, 3 hours wait for less than an hr performance. Not to mention a point in time we asked security to please move to the side so we can see he just shrugged his shoulders. I understand he has a job to do but we also paid to see post Malone and not the back of his shirt.

Again, I loved his performance all in all. Can't wait til he's performing for thousands in a venues that's not a church lol

The show itself was fantastic, but the venue was not that great. There was paid parking which was cheapest at 40 dollars. Leaving the venue was chaos as the streets were blocked off and traffic was at a standstill for a solid hour and a half (not exaggerating). Then there was the usual stuff with small restrooms (plus portapotties) and overpriced water down alcohol (20 for a small drink and 5 for water). I would not recommend this venue to anyone (Lakewood amp Cellairis). This is my second show at this venue and it seems to have gone downhill rapidly over a few years due to greed.

Venue aside this was a great performance by 21 Savage and Post Malone (I missed the opener due to issues of finding parking somewhere that wasn’t extremely overpriced).

It was the best experience i've ever had. The show started with a dj after a short time a upcommimg star came. He made the fans go off. After an hour of performing, there was a break. Everyone was exited for Post Malone, but an other rapper came up. There wasnt much people who were excited to see him and the crowd has lost all patience. We wanted to see Post Malone!

So half an hour of just chillimg, the lights turned off. We heard the start of "Broken Whsikey Glass" and every one flipped out.

The man himself, Post Malone came out. I was so happy i had to jump. All of his songs were good but there were even better when its live performed. I will never forget this event and im happy that this was my very first comcert.

Amazing performer. I didn't know what to expect since this was the first time I went to one of his concerts. I went for 21 savage but I knew some of his songs and I was excited. I can say that at the end of the concert he was MUCh more entertaining than 21. He was charismatic but calm. He had this happy and serious feeling and it was so chill but hype at the same time. it felt really personal when he pointed out people in the crowd, sang songs to us and performed his heart out. I definitely want to see him again now that I'm more familiar and know more of his songs.

Hello Austin, I just want to say that Chaz & I truly enjoyed getting to see your show and visit with you afterwards. Miles have kept us apart and from getting to knowing each other better, but see that your musical ventures in your life have created a very young talented and unique individual in its own right. I have watched you grow into the person you are today and hope you continue to strive in our journey to the top. Chaz and I would love to see you again when you are in the area...and God Bless!! Love, your Aunt Kim and Cousin Chaz.

It was probably one of the best nights of my life. He was so enthusiastic about the crowd, he loved our energy, said he wanted us to come on tour with him haha. But seriously I had an amazing time, I sat front row so I got to see my hero literally right in front of me AND he told me he loved me (which I got on record) as well as at the end of the concert he jumped off the railing into the crowd and I got to hug him, so yeah I’d say it was a pretty memorable night, I definitely know I’m gonna go to another one of his concerts again .

honey-rose-1’s profile image

While Post didn't disappoint, he probably didn't excite as much as he should. His set, although filled with great tracks, was a tad short for my liking. His on stage presence felt a little boring at times, and failed to really make much of a connection with the crowd at all. It just felt like he wanted to play his songs and get the hell out.

Not a bad show, but also given how much people were spending to see this guy, you'd figure'd there be something more. Maybe he's just tired though, which in that case, I wish him some rest.

The show was incredible!! Everything was lit and pumped got the crowd hyped and engaging!! Every single person who preformed was great and Posty was AMAZING live wow!

However, the pauses in between the artists really killed the vibe!! Next time don’t have too long pauses inbetween people will just have to wait to go to the bathrooms/buy drinks. Or at least make sure something is entertaining meanwhile (just having a DJ playing or the cool light show or something)

Post Malone 2024 Phoenix Open Concert in the Coliseum setlist: Here's every song he played

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Post Malone turned in a wildly entertaining 90-minute set on the iconic 16th hole at the Phoenix Open's Concert in the Coliseum on Saturday, Feb. 3, welcoming fans to the show with "Better Now" and "Wow."

The set included any number of his biggest hits, including all four songs he's taken to the top on Billboard's Hot 100 — "Psycho," "I Fall Apart," "Circles" and "Sunflower," the last of which he introduced with "This song just went 20 times platinum."

Highlights ranged from a suitably brooding rendition of "Mourning" to the deeply soulful, acoustic-guitar-driven folk of "Feeling Whitney" and the cacophonous crescendo of "Too Young."

He didn't sing "America the Beautiful." That's  next week at the Super Bowl.

Snotty Nose Rez Kids

Also in this week's must-hear songs of the week: Dana Gavanski, Poolblood and MacKenzie Porter.

In Fresh Sounds Canada, Billboard Canada puts you on to the must-hear songs of the week by artists on the rise and those about to break. Here's what's out this week.

Snotty Nose Rez Kids feat. Electric Fields, “Red Future”

Haisla Nation hip-hop duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids, the musical pair of Yung Trybez and Young D, signed to Sony Music Canada late last year. "Red Future" is the title track of their upcoming major label debut, and it sounds like a major label debut. What does that mean? The sound, featuring Australian Indigenous electronic duo Electric Fields, sounds lush and epic and widescreen — in a word, big . It's inspired by Indigenous futurism, they say, and opening the door for future generations to thrive. It's a bit more serious and less, well, snotty than previous releases, but it shows an ambition to match their new record contract and the budget that goes along with it (their first song after getting signed was called “I Got Paid Today.” After years of exciting releases, that's an intriguing prospect for the future of SNRK. - Richard Trapunski

Bibi Club, “L'île aux bleuets”

Bibi Club just announced the release of their second album, Feu de garde , on May 10 through Secret City Records, featuring the single "L’île aux bleuets." The duo, composed of Adèle Trottier-Rivard and Nicolas Basque, takes us to the sanctuary of a lake in the Laurentians in Quebec for a pop ballad cradled by a candid flow. After being crowned Best New Artist at GAMIQ 2023 , nominated in the "Revelation of the Year" category at the last ADISQ gala, and making it onto the long list of the Polaris Prize for Le soleil et la mer , Bibi Club have undoubtable buzz heading into the spring. They'll play France and Belgium in May and June and will return to Quebec for a series of concerts this fall. - Amélie Revert

Dana Gavanski, “Ears Were Growing”

Dana Gavanski continues to build anticipation ahead of the release of her new album, LATE SLAP , scheduled for April 5th via Full Time Hobby. Her latest single, the highly catchy "Ears Were Growing," is described by the London, England-based Canadian, who has ventured into Talking Heads-inspired sounds, as "a dream of escape confronted with the reality of being stuck on the same old couch with the same old thoughts." It's different from the artist's musical offerings thus far, but it's a beautiful success. - Amélie Revert

MacKenzie Porter, “Coming Home To You”

Now based in Nashville, MacKenzie Porter is one of a few Canadian country stars currently making a splash internationally. She has scored six No. 1 country singles across the U.S., Canada, and Australia and earned nearly 900 million global on-demand streams, and is now gearing up for potentially her biggest year yet. “Coming Home To You” is the new single from her upcoming full-length album, Nobody's Born With A Broken Heart, set for an April 26 release on Big Loud Records. It showcases her clean and unaffected vocals, boosted here by a full and swelling production incorporating both strings and steel guitar ( hitmaker Joey Moi is at the production helm). Lyrically, the track urges us to count our blessings: “Why would I wish for a different life? We don’t got it all but we got all we need.” - Kerry Doole

EDITOR'S PICK: Poolblood, “Wringer”

Following up on their 2023 Polaris Music Prize longlisted-debut, mole , Toronto’s Poolblood is releasing a new EP on April 5, via Next Door Records. “Wringer,” the first glimpse of the new EP, theres_plenty_of_music_to_go_around.zip , is a searching dispatch that expands into a charged rock song. Featuring a video by Shamir and production by Allen Tate (San Fermin), the track finds Poolblood’s Maryam Said probing something or someone absent: “From where does it grow? / Why does it keep its hands off me?” Said asks. Beginning with just acoustic guitar and voice, the song builds to a dense outro (and features some beautiful guitar-work) as Said’s questions find a kind of sonic release that feels both cathartic and wistful.

Post Malone is coming to Toronto in July to preview his new album coming out on July 28th, and fans are hunting the web for presale codes.

Malone announced on his Instagram last night that he was going on tour this summer, hitting most major cities across Canada and the United States. He’ll be in Toronto on July 19th, nine days before his album, if y’all weren’t here I’d be crying , comes out.

One fan said “Is there any code email anyone is getting? I’m signed up for like everyone and got nothing about presale for this!”

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Nicki Minaj touches her hair while performing in concert.

This spring, every day is Pink Friday.

From March through May, Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2 Tour’ is hitting arenas all over North America with special guest Monica and painting the town(s) pink in the process.

That includes major stops at Newark’s Prudential Center on Thursday, March 28, New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday, March 30 and a pair of gigs at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Thursday, April 4 and Wednesday, May 1 .

Given the spectacle surrounding the tour — which includes elaborate pink sets, in-show costume changes, 30+ songs (!), and, yes, a bit of twerking as seen on Minaj’s Instagram — some tickets are surprisingly cheap.

At the time of publication, we found seats going for as low as $48 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Other concerts have tickets starting anywhere from $53 to $241 before fees.

Curious how much it will cost to hear “Super Freaky Girl,” “Anaconda,” that famous verse from “Monster” as well as all the hits from the new record and more live in your city?

You’re in the right place, future Gag City residents.

We’ve got all the information you’re looking for and more about Nicki Minaj’s 2024 ‘Pink Friday 2 Tour’ below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

Rolling Loud 2024

From March 15-17, you can find Minaj headlining the  Rolling Loud Festival  at The Lot at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, CA.

Other major acts on the bill include  Post Malone ,  Lil Uzi Vert , Future ,  Sexyy Red , and  Bryson Tiller .

In total, over 100 icons will take the stage over the three-day weekend.

Nicki Minaj set list

Minaj launched the ‘Pink Friday 2 Tour’ at the Oakland Arena on March 1.

According to Set List FM , here’s what she performed that night.

01.) “I’m the Best” 02.) “Barbie Dangerous” 03.) “FTCU” 04.) “Beep Beep” 05.) “Hard White”

06.) “Press Play” 07.) “Win Again” 08.) “We Go Up” 09.) “Big Difference” 10.) “Pink Birthday” 11.) “Feeling Myself”

35.) “Everybody”

Nicki Minaj new music

On Friday, Dec. 8, Minaj dropped her fifth studio album  “Pink Friday 2.”

Minaj’s sequel to her 2010 debut finds the explicit rap icon delivering her trademark clever rhymes with ease along with big-name features on the record including Lil Wayne , J. Cole ,  Drake , Lil Uzi Vert , Future , and more.

Critics are going gaga for the 22-track album, too.

“The biggest, brashest queen of rap shows she still has the throne,” gushed  The Standard .

For our money, we suggest checking out her atmospheric, clubby “Needle,” the chill “Last Time I Saw You” and “Everybody” which cleverly speeds up a sample of Junior Senior’s banger “Move Your Feet.”

Our favorites have to be the soon-to-be anthem “Pink Friday Girls” which lifts from Cyndi Lauper’s iconic “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and the blissed-out album finale “Just The Memories.”

Want to hear for yourself?

You can listen to “Pink Friday 2” in its entirety  here .

If it’s been ages since you’ve heard “The Boy Is Mine,” “So Gone,” “Angel Of Mine” or any of Monica’s major hits from way back when, you can check out her extensive discography here .

For a closer look at what she’s been up to, we recommend spinning the R&B icon’s 2023 single “Letters.”

Rappers on tour in 2024

•  21 Savage

•  Freddie Gibbs
