What to Expect on a Harbor Cruise
The best way to see the memorable sights and beauty of Hyannis is by the sea. Relax and enjoy the views as your guide explains the various points of interest you see along the way. It’s a fascinating (and sometimes comical) history that includes aspects of our maritime industry, the people who established our waterfront community, and some of the area’s most interesting sights.
Our departure point, Hyannis Inner Harbor, is bustling with activity – ferries to the islands, fishing charters, and more. The mid-Cape is a great choice for those who want to be centrally located and enjoy a bit of everything the Cape has to offer. It’s an experience that will be one of the highlights of your trip to Cape Cod. And it only takes an hour. Limited paid parking is available in our parking lot conveniently located near Hyannis Harbor, or along the road – so drive on in, hop on a cruise, and sit back and relax!

Booked a 4pm Lighthouse tour with Bay Spirit Tours. Stephanie, the associate who manages incoming calls, is super friendly and helpful. She helped assist when we accidentally booked the wrong date. The tour itself was fun, informational, and unique! Loved seeing the Cape from the water and hearing the tour guides experience. Would recommend!
Great experience! Captain and mates were very friendly. Beautiful views of Hyannis during the sunset. BYOB was fun. Would definitely do it again!
Net trampoline you can sit on during the trip
We took the sunset cruise with live music. It was a beautiful sunset and evening enjoyed by all. Who doesn't like to watch the sunset on the ocean listening to live music? We highly recommend taking this trip. You won't be disappointed.
Wonderful beat ride. Traveled with elderly family members and young children. All enjoyed the trip. The 2 hours was a perfect amount of time to explore the bay and see the coastline.
We had a great Sunset cruise aboard the Bay Spirit boat! Crew was fantastic, boat was very comfortable. Captain was extremely informative and gave a great tour, showing us all the homes and boats of Kennedy's and celebrities. He has a great sense of humor, again, very knowledgeable and informative. We'll definitely go out with Bay Spirit tours again!
Had a sunset cruise booked for my anniversary. Arrived on time & ran around trying to find the boat. After 30 minutes of walking around the marina, I found out from another bay spirit cruise boat that my cruise was cancelled. Would have been nice to receive some sort of email/communication in advanced so I could have planned something else. Still no email.

The captain called the number you provided 2 hours ahead and didn’t reach you so he left a message. You have been refunded.
Seabreeze Tour - The Sea Breeze Cruise was just wonderful. It was a beautiful day. As we entered, the folks working on the cruise were extremely helpful with going up the few steps to get on. Seating was comfortable- on cushions along the side where I sat in front,, but there were other areas of the boat in which to sit, too. Some folks (that I met for the first time) had brought drinks and snacks to celebrate a fiftieth birthday. They were generous and friendly to offer to share, but my friend and I simply enjoyed the fresh sea breeze and beautiful ocean as the catamaran's huge sails were expertly controlled to give us a beautiful ride with spectacular ocean view. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional, and the peace of the ocean view was wonderful. This trip was definitely a summer highlight. The location is right near the heart of Hyannis - so there's plenty to do by way of shopping and lunch before and/or after the trip. A few tips followed by a suggestion: *As the website suggests, leave plenty of extra time to find parking and walk. It could take extra time to establish you are waiting in the right spot. . I would give it a half earlier arrival, unless you walk very fast and are sure you know the correct location of the area from which the boat leaves. *You'll know you're waiting in the right area if you're in a parking lot with two street signs behind a stop sign in the corner of the lot next to the road. (See photo.) The two signs indicate Lewis Bay Road and Willow Street. *There was a handicapped parking spot, if needed. There was a bit of walking needed on boat, from what I could see. There were a few steps up into the boat and a bit of walking on the boat to get to your sear. The kind staff were helpful with folks getting on, when needed. *If, like me, you have taken one of the company's other cruises, note that cruises leave from different parts of the harbor. Confirm ahead of time. Consider bringing sunblock lotion, sweater, jacket . The day we went (Sat, Aug 14th) , it was around 72 on shore, but it did at times get a bit deliciously cooler by several degrees at times on the boat. Bring snacks or drinks, if you wish. Suggestion: As friend and I waited, along with orhers also taking the trip (folks I was meeting for the first time), we were all confused about whether we were waiting in the correct spot. Several people from the other group were starting to head toward another part of the harbor, when fortunately, we met two folks who had in the past seen the boat leave from the area where we waited. That's how we knew we were in the correct place. Staff wouldn't have know of problems that had preceded the trip. as nobody mentioned this. Instead, we happily boarded and enjpyed the excellent trip. The problem is that the online instructions give a street address: 147 Lewis Bay Road, but the parking lot (which is essentially where you need to wait) doesn't have the number 147 anywhere, so you don't know if you're in the right place...especially given that on the Cape, gps systems can be off in areas where teception isn't great. Suggestion to eliminate confusion. Adding signage would be helpful....If it is possible, I suggest that the company put up a sign stating, "Bay Spirit Cruises Sea Breeze Trip Waiting Area." If that is not allowable, perhaps the company can erect a large sign that says, 147 Lewis Bay Road" for the parking lot or dock or prevail upon the town to do so. This would be helpful for folks wishing to establish they are in the right place. I also suggest that inckuding the following in online idirections...in addition to info already available: ,"If you plug 147 Lewis Bay Road, Hyannis, into your gps, there is a pretty good chance that your GPS will bring you to the right place. However, you may want to confirm you are in the right place because this address is actually a parking lot right in front of the water...What you will see to help you are twi street signs behind a Stop sign in the corner of the parking lot showing that you are at the crossroads of two streets: Lewis Bay Road and Willow Street. See photo. When you arrive there, you will see a little parking lot with a handicapped parking apace and s few other "official " spaces. The parking lot faces the harbor, and when the boat arrives, you will need to walk down a wooden ramp. Keep in mind...in case you have taken a different Bay State Cruise this summer, the boat picks up in a different location, across the harbor from some of its other cruises. If you have a question or want further info about pickup location, check the website for your cruise or call when lines are staffed, between ---and ---. I would include the photo of street signs in the directions. This photo that also includes "stop" sign will help people to establish that they sre waiting in the right place. In any case, I loved the wonderful trio and will take again! Highly recommend! Five stars!!!!
This is a photo to help you establish you are in the right area to wait for the boat. Street signs say, Lewis Bay Road" and "Willow Street."
Was a beautiful day and a very interesting tour. Down side man loading the boat was terrible and rude! We bought tickets on their website and it said that's all we needed to get on!he made us a d another couple with 2 small children wait till last to get on the boat .he basically called us liers.

Diane, Thank you for coming out with us. Steve tried to explain to you why he needed you to wait. When you buy tickets online you click the check mark saying that you agree to our terms and conditions. This is the first thing it says in the terms and conditions: Reservations Paid in Full: Please arrive a half-hour prior to departure time to check-in and get your boarding passes. Boarding begins 15 minutes prior to departure. Everyone that was there before did the same thing. They bought tickets online, checked in and grabbed a boarding pass and waited for us to board. Passengers typically start a line naturally to get on. 15 minutes before departure, we started boarding. When you arrived and wanted to get right on, Steve tried to explain to you that you will need to wait until all the other passengers (who did the same thing: bought tickets online and already checked in and had already been waiting) get on. You also get an email confirmation which mentions: You don't need to print ticket. We will have your name in our reservation book. So, yes you don't need to bring anything meaning a ticket. You just need to check in with your name. Then if people have already done the same thing and are waiting in front of you, you should wait behind them.
I chose Bay Spirit Tours to assist me in scattering my fathers ashes at sea (burial at sea). We were warmly greeted and welcomed on board the beautiful, spacious catamaran called the "Bay Spirit". After the Captain discussed safety measures and what to expect we departed promptly and on time. My father was a fisherman in his younger days, and the boat he fished on left out of the same docks as the Bay Spirit which offered an extra sentimental value to my experience. We were extremely lucky to have perfect weather for the day. It was 75 degrees and sunny, with absolutely no wind which made for a very quiet, calm ocean. It took us about 20 minutes to get out 3 nautical miles which was quicker than expected. One at our destination they instructed us on how to scatter the ashes at the bow of the boat. It was like my father was with us, as even though we were 3 miles out, the ocean was flat, and calm. No wind whatsoever. Once the ashes were scattered we stayed there for about 10-15 minutes to reflect while playing a favorite song of my fathers on a speaker that we brought along. Afterwards I waved to the Captain who was awaiting our signal, he gave a nod and turned the boat around to head back to the dock. At this time we all took the chance head inside to the fully stocked bar and get a drink for a toast. All of our drinks were made perfectly, and I found the sizing and prices to be very reasonable. The Captain and staff of the Bay Spirit provided me with a lovely laminated certificate to certify my fathers burial at sea with exact latitude and longitude of his final resting place. If you are looking to scatter your loved ones ashes at sea, I highly recommend Bay Spirit Tours. I found their rates extremely affordable, and couldn't have been happier with the outcome.

Jennifer, it was nice meeting you and your family. I'm so glad the day worked out for you. Thank you for this review.
We went out on a wet and blustery day and still had a wonderful tour and trip. The ship is comfortable and the crew were friendly and helpful. The information that the tour guide gave us was very interesting and he answered all of our questions.
