Dubai: If you can’t find a copy of your UAE visit visa, you can easily download your visa details online through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) official services platform – smartservices.icp.gov.ae.

A copy of your visit visa is required if you wish to apply for a mobile phone connection as a visitor, or even if you wish to extend the visa. In case you do not have a copy of the visa with you, here’s how you can download it online.

Downloading the visa copy is a straightforward process, all you need is your passport number.

1. Visit the website - smartservices.icp.gov.ae and click on the ‘Public Services’ category on the menu. 2. Scroll down and click on ‘Reports’ and select, ‘Other Services - Reports - Visa Details – Print’. 3. Click on the ‘Start Service’ button. 4. Next, choose ‘Passport Information’. Alternatively, if you have your visa details with you, select ‘File Number’ or ‘Unified Number’. 5. If you selected ‘Passport Information’, enter the following details: • Passport number and type. • Passport expiry date. • Date of birth. • Email address. • Mobile number 6. Next, click on the captcha verification box and click ‘Next’. 7. The ICP system will then retrieve your visa details. Review the application and click ‘Next’. 8. Pay the application fees for the service. 9. After a few minutes, you will get a verified copy of your visa details on the ICP website. You can either save it digitally or take a print out.

How To Get An Official Copy Of Residence Visa Sticker?

Through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) app, ‘UAEICP,’ you may get a copy of your resident visa. You just need to register with the IP’s smartphone app, called “UAEICP,” which is compatible with Apple and Android smartphones, to achieve this. If you have one, you may sign in to the app using your UAEPass account.

Once the programme is open, your papers will be listed under the icon in the bottom centre that looks like a document folder. Your Emirates ID and residency visa of the UAE page will appear after you touch the symbol. Documents for any dependents (such as family members) for whom you are the sponsor will also appear in your account.

According to the GDRFA website, you can apply for a visit visa extension if you have an active application for a family member or friend:

Use your UAE Pass or, if you have one, your online GDRFA account to log into the smart services system.
Use your dashboard to look for the visa extension service.
Submit the application information.
Pay the service charge

C. Three-month UAE visit visa through the Travel Agencies

If you want to visit the UAE for three months, you can now apply for a visit visa through the travel agencies. This option used to be available before but was recently changed to one or two months. However, there are a few things to consider.

This visa option is only for people who are currently outside the UAE and cannot be applied for by those already in the country.

Not all travel agencies can provide this visa, as they need to have the required quota. You should check with the agency if they can apply for the three-month visa.

Documents required to apply three month visa through the Travel Agencies:

To apply, you will need to provide

Passport copy (valid for at least six months) and
A passport-sized photograph

The processing time is usually around two to three days, and the cost can range from Dh1,500 to Dh2,000, which includes visa fees, service fees, and health insurance costs.

2. Five-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa:

If you travel to Dubai for business or to see family, you can apply for a five-year tourist visa, which entitles you to numerous annual trips to the UAE and a maximum stay of 90 days.

Through Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), you can submit a visa application. At the time of application, the visa is granted once a year for stays of 30, 60, or 90 days. According to the GDRFA website, This period may be extended for a comparable length of time, provided that the total number of days spent there in a year is at most 180.

Requirement for a Five-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa:

According to the GDRFA, your can only apply for the multiple-entry permit if you meet the following criteria:

A passport or other travel document that is still valid at least six months after the application deadline.
A return ticket for travel.
Validl health insurance.
Proof that you have a bank balance of $4,000 (Dh14,689) or its equivalent in other currencies for at least six months prior to submitting your application.

The GDRFA states that holders of this visa are only permitted to stay in the UAE continuously for a total of 90 days each year. As long as the total number of days spent in the UAE in a year is no more than 180, this term may be extended for a comparable amount of time.

Steps to obtain a Five-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa for Dubai

Step1: Create an account on the GDRFA website

After that, choose “Individuals” and click “Register now.”
In order to register as a visitor, you must first provide your email address before setting up a username and password.•
Type in the following information: complete name, email address, and birthdate.
‘Send OTP’ should be clicked. A “One-Time Password” will then be issued to your registered email address.

The guarantee amount is Dh2,000 and other charges Dh60 will be charged as financial guarantee.

Health Insurance:A 30-day visiting visa costs Dh40; a 60-day visitor visa costs Dh60; and a 90-day visitor visa costs Dh90.

If the sponsored individual is in the country, additional costs:Knowledge and innovation fees are Dh10, and domestic travel costs are Dh500.

Duration for issuing Five-Year Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa in Dubai

The GDRFA website states that a maximum of five working days may be allowed, however two working days are the typical period.

I fell in the same situtation but i can't find where to print it out, only if you applied with emirates.com, then you can ask them in the help/chat to send it out, other than we face a wall

1. Go to https://echannels.moi.gov.ae and login.

2. Click on the 'My Requests' tab on the top right of the page. You will see all APPROVED visa requests which you submitted

3. In front of each request, you see three small buttons. Click on the middle button having the name 'ACTIONS'. A menu will appear.

4. On the menu, click on 'Print Electronic Visa' and your PDF visa will be downloaded.

Do I need a visa for the UAE?

UAE visa on arrival

Preapproved uae visas, prearranged uae visas, sponsoring someone to visit the uae, contact information, 30-day visit eligibility.

If you are a passport holder of the below country or territory, no advance visa arrangements are required to visit the UAE. Simply disembark your flight at Dubai International and proceed to immigration, where your passport will be stamped with a 30-day visit visa free of charge.

90-day visit eligibility

If you are a passport holder of one of the below countries or territories, your passport will be stamped with a multiple entry 90-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 90 days in total. Citizens of the below European countries are also entitled to apply for a pre-arranged visit visa if their 90-day visa on arrival has been fully utilized.

180-day visit eligibility

If you hold a Mexican passport you’re eligible for a multiple entry 180-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 180 days in total.

Dubai immigration procedures

As an added security measure, Immigration Authorities at Dubai International are now conducting random visual screening for visitors to Dubai.

Visitors asked to proceed for visual screening are required to present a hard copy of their visa or a printed version of the visa number confirmation page at the screening counter. If you do not have a copy of your visa with you, a charge of AED 30 per copy applies, payable only in AED.

Important information

Before you travel to the UAE, check visa requirements and make sure you have a valid visa if needed and that your passport is valid for the minimum required period. Holders of non-standard passports and travel documents may also have different entry requirements: find out if you need to apply for a visa and other passport requirements.

As of April 29, 2016, GCC residence permit holders will need to apply for a UAE visa before arriving in Dubai.

New visit entry permit to the UAE for Indian nationals

From January 7, 2024, eligible Indian nationals with a normal passport valid for a minimum of six months can obtain a single entry, 14-day visa on arrival. A fee of USD 63 applies.

If you are traveling to or stopping over in Dubai with Emirates, you can submit an application and receive your UAE visa entirely online—without having to submit your passport for stamping. You can apply for your UAE visa through our Manage your booking after you book your Emirates flight. VFS processing fees apply. For more information please visit VFS Global.

The online visa application service is available for residents and nationals of many countries around the world. Find out if you can apply for a UAE visa. Applicants' passports must have at least six months' validity as of the date of travel to Dubai and must be machine-readable; handwritten passports are not accepted.

This service is only available to passengers with a confirmed Emirates booking where an Emirates ticket has already been issued and the flight itinerary already includes the desired time in Dubai. The itinerary into and out of Dubai should be on one ticket (PNR), and these flights must be Emirates flights. Note that itineraries including flights to or from Dubai on other carriers are not eligible for online visa service.

A minimum of 4 international working days prior to arrival in Dubai is required; however, Emirates recommends that online applications be made as early as possible.

UAE: Two simple ways to get Umrah visa without travel agent

A re you embarking on a pilgrimage to the holiest sites in Islam soon? If so, you might have thought of obtaining an appropriate visa by the most common method – through a travel agent.

However, sometimes packages for the pilgrimage can cost a hefty amount. Umrah , but during certain periods of time – like the first 20 days of Ramadan, costs surge by nearly 25 per cent, according to a travel agent.

So, if you wish to apply for an Umrah visa yourself, here are two ways you can do so:

You can use Saudi Arabia's official website to apply for the Umrah visa by following the below steps:

Head to the website, https://visa.mofa.gov.sa/ , and click on the tab on the bottom left that says 'Services for visitors'.

You will be directed to the next page where you should be able to see a section called 'Haj and Umrah eVisa Application Form'. Under this, click on 'Apply'.

Click on 'Submit a new application'. You will then be directed to a new page.

Once you are on the eVisa application form, you can fill out your information and create a new account. Then you can register your application.

After you go through all the four steps of application, you can send your application to the embassy, which will then process your visa.

For ease of access to your visa and other items, you can apply for your Umrah eVisa through the Nusuk app by following the steps below:

Download the Nusuk app. Create an account by filling in all your information.

On the home page of the app, you should be able to see a section that is titled 'Performing Umrah, Your Journey Awaits', click on the 'Apply' button below this.

You should be able to select the Umrah package that meets your requirements on this page.

Now, you will be asked to fill in the information of all those travelling for the pilgrimage. You can add nine people at most – per booking. You will also need to provide their personal details along with their health statuses and if they require a wheelchair.

You will now be directed to a page where you will be required to choose the dates of your pilgrimage. Select the dates from the calendar displayed on the screen.

Choose the time slot for performing Umrah. Each slot is three hours long and you can select only one time slot for your pilgrimage, per day.

Review and agree to the terms and conditions. after this you will be required to review the details you have previously filled out. Once you do this and submit the information, your application has been submitted and you will soon receive your permit!

Entry permits

Entry permits facilitate a foreigner to enter the UAE to finalise his/her residence visa procedures. It is also issued for medical treatment, a mission, tourism, transit, attending an event, visiting a family member, or exploring business or job opportunities. An entry permit issued for these purposes is commonly called visit visa, tourist visa or transit visa.

An entry permit is issued to a foreigner to enter the UAE to finalise his/her residence visa procedures. In this case, the entry permit is valid for:

2 months for normal visas and green residence visas (whose duration is 1 to 5 years) and
6 months with multiple entries for golden visas.

An entry permit is issued also for short visits to the UAE for a specific purpose like treatment, a mission, tourism, transit, attending an event, visiting a family member, or exploring business or job opportunities. An entry permit issued for these purposes is commonly called a visit visa, a tourist visa or a transit visa.

Validity of entry permits after entering the UAE for purposes other than residence, ranges from 2 days ( transit visa ) to 5 years ( Multiple Entry Long Term Tourist Visa - 5 Years ). The validity period depends on the type and purpose of the entry permit.

The party sponsoring the person who wants to enter the UAE will handle the entry permit transaction through GDRFA’s online and offline channels . The sponsor could be a company from the private sector, a public entity, a relative, a UAE-based airline or a hotel and so on.

ICP has standardised the fines for overstaying in the UAE. According to the new rules, fines for overstaying on a visit, tourist and residence visa is AED 50 per day, to be calculated from 10 days after the expiry of the visa.

Tokyo: Japan has officially launched its e–visa program for several countries including India. This allows the visitors to stay in the country for up to ninety days with a single-entry visa. The e–visa program has been envisioned to benefit the passengers who possess a regular passport and wish to enter Japan via air. At the onset of 2024, Skyscanner witnessed record travel demand, outperforming the global flights market and emerging as the fastest-growing metasearch platform in 2023

With most GCC countries offering over 5-days of paid public holiday for the Eid al Fitr holiday , families are taking advantage of the extended break to travel to popular destinations, especially to visa-free countries.

Global travel leader Skyscanner, in its latest report, has highlighted the changing booking patterns, destination preferences, and trending travel hotspots across the EMEA region.

It highlights the increasing confidence among travelers to plan ahead. Compared to the previous year, travelers across EMEA are booking their trips further in advance, signaling a return to traditional seasonality in 2024, says Skyscanner ‘s Horizons report.

The data shows a significant uptick in trips booked with greater lead times, particularly in the 60-89 day and 90+ day booking windows.

Regional preferences

EMEA travelers are exhibiting a strong preference for exploring Europe, with a significant 53 per cent opting for European destinations, marking a 4 per cent increase from the previous year.

According to Skyscanner’s report for 2024, there is a growing demand among UAE and Saudi travelers for cultural experiences, with many European capital cities trending for 2024.

Italy, renowned for its monuments and cuisine, emerges as one of the most alluring holiday destinations, appearing multiple times on Saudi’s top trending destinations list.

Shorter trip lengths

The report also notes a trend of slightly shorter trip lengths for many popular destinations across all regions, with average trip lengths either down or remaining flat year-on-year.

Spanish and Greek destinations dominate as the most popular searched destinations on Skyscanner, with Bangkok, New York City, and Sydney also retaining their popularity for long-haul travel.

Ayoub El Mamoun, Skyscanner Travel Expert, remarked, “Our latest Horizon insights reveal a travel landscape that is both familiar and evolving. While traditional seasonality is returning and popular destinations remain in demand, travelers are also seeking value and exploring options closer-to-home. Across Skyscanner’s platforms, we have seen incredible demand at the start of the year and expect this trend to continue as we head into the summer.”

Among the most notable findings are the destinations experiencing significant year-on-year increases in search volumes, reflecting a mix of travellers’ desire to explore new places and destinations with new route connections.
