The new Tata Safari features continuous front DRLs that are interconnected, along with a linked rear tail lamp. Additionally, the front LED DRL comes with a welcome and goodbye Signature Animation on the Front and rear LED DRL, further elevating the vehicle's overall aesthetic.

For improved front illumination, the new Safari is equipped with Bi-LED projector headlamps. The Bi-LED arrangement will improve nighttime driving by offering adequate illumination on the dark stretches of the road.

For a glimpse of the starry night, the Tata Safari offers a spacious panoramic sunroof that can be controlled using voice commands. This sunroof not only elevates the overall interior atmosphere but also creates a more open and airy cabin feel.

The Safari now boasts an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Suite with 11 vital functions (Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function (AT only), Autonomous Emergency Braking - Including Pedestrian & Cycle, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Door Open Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert and High Beam Assist), Electronic Stability Program encompassing 17 functionalities among other features.

Dual-zone climate control is another good feature in the facelift, and it aims to improve passengers' cabin experiences. Passengers can individually determine the temperature they desire inside the car thanks to dual-zone climate control. This implies that the front passenger and the driver can experience customized climatic comfort.

The new Safari offers the latest tech features like the slick 12.2-inch infotainment system by HARMAN, 10.2-inch fully TFT instrument cluster, 10 JBL Speakers with Advanced Harman AudioworX, Connected Vehicle Technology with iRA 2.0, which offers remote engine start-stop and AC, 50+ connected and safety features with gamification. Furthermore, it supports Alexa Voice command.

The Safari now features a hands-free, gesture-controlled power tailgate, eliminating the need to use your hands to open it. This convenient feature comes in handy when your hands are full with shopping bags or other items, ensuring easy access to the trunk.

A new steering wheel with a dual-tone finish is included in the new Safari facelift. For improved ergonomics, it now has four spokes, and the center now has an illuminated Tata logo. Additionally, new control switches for various purposes are added to the steering.

Unlike previous Safaris, which used ladder-frame chassis and traditional, rear-biased 4x4, the new one uses Land Rover's D8 platform (OmegaArc in Tata parlance) and is front-wheel-drive only. It's powered by a 170hp FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine, which can be had with either a six-speed manual or six-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox.

The Fiat-sourced, 2.0-litre Kryotec turbo-diesel produces 170hp.

The chrome-finished grille is unique to the Safari as well.

The split-headlight design has been carried over from the Harrier.

Tata Safari is a highly popular SUV having a long standing history in the Indian automobile industry. Originally introduced in 1998, the vehicle is currently into its Second Generation having spawned a number of facelifts. It is based on the OMEGARC (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture) platform. 

Tata Safari: Exterior

Safari’s exterior provides a bold and muscular design. Up front it offers a sculpted hood, chrome-finished grille, sleek projector headlamps, LED DRLs and a skid plate. 

On the sides we get to see roof rails, strong shoulderline, flared wheel arches, black plastic cladding and 18-inch alloy wheels. 

Towards the rear it gets a shark fin antenna, roof mounted spoiler, LED tail lights, dual tone (body coloured and black plastic finish) bumper and a skid plate.  

Tata Safari: Interior & Features

Interior: Safari's interior is well laid out and spacious. The cabin provides a modern dashboard with three rows of seating. There is the option of captain seats in the second row. To add on, there is leatherette upholstery which provides a premium feel. 

Features: New Safari gets features like a 10-inch touchscreen JBL infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Further there is a panoramic sunroof, Fully Automatic Climate Control (FATC) with HVAC, multiple charging ports, iRA- Connected Car Technology and more

Safety: Safari offers ADAS Tech like autonomous emergency brake, front and rear collision warning, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane change alert, traffic sign recognition among others. It also gets safety features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESC), Corner Stability Control (CSC), hill hold control and more. 

Tata Safari: Price and Variants

The 2023 Tata Safari price in India starts from 16.19 lakh and extends to Rs 27.34 lakh (ex-showroom). There are 29 variants on offer. 

Tata Safari: Engine and Specifications

New Tata Safari comes powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that delivers 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. Automatic and Manual options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. There are multiple driving modes - Eco, City, and Sport.

There are 6 colour options available on the Safari. They include Royale Blue, Tropical Mist Adventure, Daytona Grey, Orcus White, Oberon Black (DARK) and Orcus White Adventure.
