The Eras Tour concert movie broke multiple box office records and offers a visually stunning view into Taylor Swift's incredible career.

Three movie versions of The Eras Tour have been released, with Disney+ releasing Taylor's Version on March 14, 2024. A Fun and Colorful Representation of Swift's Transition to Pop Music

Taylor Swift unleashes her pop side with the 1989 era. Wearing a pink crop top and skirt, she struts on stage to perform smash songs from her first pop album, which was released in 2014. Through songs like "Bad Blood", "Style" and "Shake It Off", she shows off her playful side, with bright colorful dancing and fun nods to the era , as seen with the golf club prop seen during "Blank Space."

Taylor's Version also included the bonus of her mesmerizing performance of "Wildest Dreams", which was not included in the theatrical release. It's a fun and exciting segment of the movie that represents how Swift transitioned from country to pop and proves that she never goes out of style with her music.

A Whimsical and Ethereal Era That Brings Back The Iconic Cabin

The Folklore era brought a sense of calm and serenity to the show, after earlier sets that consisted of fast-paced dances and bright lights. Wearing a flowing white gown, Taylor Swift returns to the iconic cabin and staircase backdrop, made famous from her first of the two albums released during the pandemic . For this era, she wears a beautiful flowing Alberta Ferretti white gown and performs highlights including "The Last Great American Dynasty" and "My Tears Ricochet" and returns to the famous love triangle created through a trio of songs .

This era showcases Swift's impressive poetic talent and her passion for storytelling through her folk-rock songs. It brings the fictional universe she created during the pandemic to life and offers epic tales of love and loss. Through the Folklore era, she touches base with every emotion, as seen in her touching "betty" to her powerfully angry "illicit affairs."

Who Taylor Swift's "Betty" Song Is About & How It Connects To Ryan Reynolds

A touching return to the beginning of taylor swift's career.

After the heavy-toned sets that were used in the earlier stages of the concert, Taylor Swift simply used her voice and her instruments to carry the acoustic set beautifully.

Taylor Swift surprised her fanbase when she announced an acoustic set for her concert tour. In Taylor’s Version of the Eras Tour movie, she announced more songs that were not included in the previous versions of her concert. Wearing a dark pink dress, she steps back from the dazzling lights and simply performs as herself.

Where this era shines is that it is stripped back and intimate. After the heavy-toned sets that were used in the earlier stages of the concert, Taylor Swift simply used her voice and her instruments to carry the acoustic set beautifully. It shows how, with just a guitar and a piano, she can dominate the SoFi Stadium in California, where the movie was filmed . This set truly depicts Swift’s pure talent as a performer and is an excellent return to her roots.

In Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version), Swift performs "You Are in Love", "Death by a Thousand Cuts", "I Can See You" and "Maroon" as part of her acoustic set.

8 Biggest Differences Between The Eras Tours Theatrical & Disney+ Streaming Versions

Gives classic winter vibes and her performance of champagne problems is breathtaking.

The Evermore set is arguably the most emotional aspect of the entire show. Similar to her Folklore set, Evermore features beautiful songs that tell different songs. Swift pays tribute to her grandmother through her touching performance of "Marjorie" and gives a stunning rendition of "Champagne Problems" playing on a moss-covered piano. This is also the segment of the show where she interacts most closely with her fans and shows her appreciation for their support .

Swift truly embraces the storytelling aspect of her songs in this era. She also adds a sense of witchcraft through the surreal and sinister performance of "Willow" with her dancers carrying glowing lights behind her as she wears an Etro cape and yellow dress. The only real negative aspect is that her song "no body no crime" remains absent from this section of The Eras Tour.

A Beautiful, Colorful, and Energetic Opening To The Eras Tour

The Eras Tour opens with a visually stunning Lover set, with the dancers wearing huge sunset-colored Loie Fuller-esque wings out of which Taylor Swift emerges to the tune of "Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince" before launching into her hit "Cruel Summer".

This set is full of catchy and upbeat songs that are the perfect opening to the show. It allows Swift the opportunity to hype up her audience further for the rest of the show, as seen by her energetic performances of "The Man" and "You Need to Calm Down."

The Eras Tour marks the first time Taylor Swift has performed songs from Lover in a concert, as the Lover Stadium Tour was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Stunning Conclusion To The Concert

Midnights , is Swift's most recent album released and serves as the final segment of the concert. Similar to Lover , Swift returns to the dreamy theme of the show, with her rendition of "Lavender Haze", followed by an upbeat performance of "Anti-Hero", later embracing her dark pop style, wearing a dark blue bodysuit to perform "Vigilante Shit" and "Bejewelled".

This era highlights the latest stage that Taylor Swift has reached in her career and her growth as a performer. It is a thrilling and entertaining segment that ends the concert on a high note. The album-inspired fireworks and confetti in the final song "Karma" prove that this was the perfect era to bring a stunning conclusion to the show.

A Fun and Energetic Segment That Shows Taylor's Appreciation For Her Fans

The fourth era of her career sees Taylor Swift and her dancers step into bright shades of red, paying homage to the title album. She kicks off this segment with a powerful performance of "22" which shows a touching moment between her and Kobe Bryant's daughter . Her performances of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble" also had powerful and fun entertainment on the set.

What makes the Red era truly stand out, however, is the awe-inspiring performance of the 10-minute version of "All Too Well," which is a fan-favorite performance. This amazing performance represents what makes Taylor Swift who she is as an artist ; her incredible ability to distill pure emotion into a song.

A Beautiful Fairytale Experience For Swift Fans

In this set, Taylor Swift performs from her third album, Speak Now . In the early stages of the concert, she notably only performed one song from the album, “Enchanted”; in Taylor’s Version viewers were given the bonus of an extra performance with “Long Live”.

Where Speak Now lacks in length, it makes up its time with its beautiful staging and stunning performances . Taylor Swift enters the era in a cloud of smoke, wearing a stunning Nicola & Felicia gown in layers of different shades of purple. She is surrounded by her dancers who perform a complimentary ballet routine as she performs, adding a beautiful fairytale element to the song perfectly. Swift’s powerful performance and the subtle yet stunning staging, make Speak Now one of the most anticipated moments of the entire show.

A Nostalgic Return To High School With Classic Songs

The Fearless era allows Swift to return to her country roots; the choice songs and the golden staging of this era, bring a sense of fun and nostalgia for those who grew up listening to Swift’s music.

In the second act of the show, Taylor Swift brings her audience back to high school with the Fearless era. Wearing a beautiful golden Roberto Cavallari dress, she brings viewers to the era that arguably brought her to global attention. The Fearless set consisted of three classic songs, “You Belong With Me”, “Love Story” and “Fearless”.

The Fearless era allows Swift to return to her country roots; the choice songs and the golden staging of this era, bring a sense of fun and nostalgia for those who grew up listening to Swift’s music. Her heart-hands shared with the audience and her dancing reminds viewers of a young Taylor Swift during the early stages of her career and brings back memories of her previous shows. The only negative aspect of this era is that only three songs were performed, but the songs that were chosen were some of her most listened to, fifteen years after they were originally released.

Embraces The Darkest Aspect of Her Career Through Powerful Rock Songs

Swift deeply embodies the version of herself that seeks revenge for her past ordeals, and she embraces the role of the villain that the media tried to paint her as.

In the fourth act of the show, Swift effortlessly transformed from her enchanting set of Evermore to her dark snake-themed set of Reputation . The set opens with a giant snake slithering down the stage, an excellent representation of the labels given to Swift by the media. Taylor Swift performs in this era, wearing a striking Roberto Cavalli jumpsuit; she performs the songs "Ready For It", "Delicate," "Don't Blame Me" and "Look What You Made Me Do" from her sixth album.

Reputation is an era that is energetic and electric in its deliverance of the representation of the darkest moments of Swift's career. Swift deeply embodies the version of herself that seeks revenge for her past ordeals, and she embraces the role of the villain that the media tried to paint her as. Through her aggressive song performances and clever easter eggs , Taylor Swift takes Reputation to an entirely new level, making it the best era of The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) movie.

A year of the Eras Tour: A look back at Taylor Swift's record-breaking show

reputation tour quotes

One year ago, the crowd in Glendale, Arizona, erupted into a massive cheer in State Farm Stadium when Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me" began playing and the backdrop screen transitioned to a countdown clock starting at 2:24.

None of the Swifties who traveled from all over the state of Arizona and the nation, dressed to the nines as one of her 10 eras, knew the tour would be three-plus hours. The fan screaming next to me from Pennsylvania who bought a ticket on StubHub.com for about $400 didn't know that we would go era-by-era through a 44-song track list. I don't think the singer, herself, knew when she hid inside a cleaning cart wheeled backstage, that her show would lead to a billion-dollar enterprise, Time magazine person of the year and an inundation of friendship bracelets. I didn't know the behemoth success following the Eras Tour star would send me packing from Phoenix to Nashville, Tennessee, to become the inaugural Taylor Swift reporter.

Swift's dancers flowed onto the stage through fog with pink, purple and orange parachute flaps. A compilation of songs from Swift's 10 albums — or eras — played as "it's been a long time coming" boomed into the stadium. Goosebumps covered the arms of thousands and tears cascaded down cheeks as the flaps revealed Miss Americana rising to begin her "Lover" set.

Eighty three shows later, here's a look back at the unprecedented tour that set a Guinness World Record . And fair warning, like her tour this article is an extensive rollercoaster.

Swept up in the hype, the world became Taylor Nation. Glendale, "Erazona ," was renamed "Swift City." Las Vegas lit up its arches in all 10 era colors. Arlington, Texas, dubbed one of its streets "Taylor Swift Way." Tampa, Florida, gave Swift a key to the city and invited her to be an honorary mayor. Houston renamed its venue "NRG Stadium (Taylor’s Version)."

Nashville, Tennessee, dedicated a bench in Centennial Park to the hometown singer. A Philadelphia radio station, 96.5 FM (WTDY), renamed itself Ninety-Swift-Five W-T-A-Y. Gov. Philip D. Murphy dubbed the "Taylor Swift ham, egg and cheese sandwich" the "state sandwich of New Jersey." Chicago lit up the top of Willis Tower in her album colors. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey renamed his city "Swiftie-apolis," and Santa Clara, California, Mayor Lisa Gillmor switched the city's name to "Swiftie Clara."

Internationally, fans in Brazil caught the attention of Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Paes and Father Omar, the rector of the Christ the Redeemer Sanctuary, who arranged to project a  "Junior Jewels" inspired T-shirt  onto the Christ the Redeemer statue. Flinders Station in Melbourne , Australia, flashed a wallpaper glaze of lights to welcome the Eras star. Singapore painted the Marina Bay Sands Resort all colors of vibrant lights.

It's a cruel summer with you

All four seasons met the fifteen dancers, four backup singers, six bandmates and hundreds of production and crew members, adding unpredictable weather to the mix. Mother Nature danced in a lightning storm to "Fearless" in Tampa and made the song "Midnight Rain" a reality in Nashville . Rain poured through the open-roofed stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where Swift pushed puddles forming on her piano . The Swiftie fandom created its own natural phenomenon in Seattle after a seismologist registered a 2.3 magnitude earthquake on her Richter scale.

The intense heat in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, caused Swift to throw water bottles to fans and temporarily halt her show. Ana Clara Benevides Machado, 23, passed out and died of heat exhaustion. The heartbreaking news prompted changes at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos to allow fans access to water. Swift invited Benevides' family to her concert in São Paulo.

I want you to think of the memories made

Swift incorporated custom messages into each tour stop. At her international destinations, she welcomed fans in their custom languages. "Bienvenidos al Eras Tour," she said in Mexico City before hoisting her hands in the air. While donning either her pink or blue guitar before the title track of "Lover," she commonly announced the stadium attendance often record-breaking.

Outside of stadiums, thousands "Taylorgated," or showed up without a ticket to hear Swift's beats and dance on the concrete. Tens of thousands more logged on to watch livestreams from fans with tickets who agreed to spend concert time holding up their mobile devices in a tricep-burning position.

The number of viewers would jump before the "Champagne Problems" speech and acoustic set. To keep things fun and interesting each night, fans filled out "Swiftball" ballots guessing the singer's outfits from four "Lover" bodysuits and accompanying "The Man" jackets, three "Fearless" dresses, two "Evermore" dresses, six "Speak Now" gowns, three bedazzled "22" shirts, five "Folkore" dresses, four "1989" crop top and skirt combos, six "Midnights" T-shirt dresses, three "Midnight Rain" body suits and four "Karma" faux fur jackets. To see how many times the Eras star wore each outfit, check out the "Data Swiftie."

For fans who wanted to get alerts to watch the shows without having to calculate time changes, Swift Alert became the app for that .

Double clap, audience chants

A secret language formed between fans and Swift as new traditions popped up along the tour. The four lines fans screamed at the top of their lungs, no matter the city or country, were "cause shade never made anybody less gay" in "You Need To Calm Down," "what a shame she's f----d in the head" in "Champagne Problems," "f--- the patriarchy" in "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" and "don't call me kid, don't call me baby" in "Illicit Affairs."

Swift started every show strong with a very important question: Did her fans know the bridge to "Cruel Summer?" "Prove it!" she'd yell at some stops and the audience would, every single time, bellow, "I'm drunk in the back of the car." For "The Archer," fans printed and dispersed signs that read, "We will stay," to hold up when Swift asks, "Who would stay?"

In the "Fearless" era, fans double clapped with "13" drawn on the back of their hands in the middle of the bridge to "You Belong With Me." A trend of marriage proposals during "Love Story" picked up during the 2024 leg with partners popping the question as Swift sang, "He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring."

During "Marjorie," Swifties turned their phone flashlights on in tribute to Swift's grandma. Fans started timing the standing ovation and ear-shattering applause after "Champagne Problems." Livestreamers, like Tess Bohne , would display a clock and fans guessed if the cheers would surpass one, two or three minutes.

A snake shape slithered through the light-up braceklets handed out before the show at the start of the "Reputation" era. Fans yelled "1, 2, 3, let's go b----" before the first verse of "Delicate" as Swift counts on her fingers. Later in the song, Swift sings, "Do the girls back home touch you like I do?" and fans reply, "No, they don't." On rare occasion, Swift would let out a three-note riff during her "Don't Blame Me" belt.

After rereleasing her third album, the "Speak Now" singer added "Long Live" to the set list, bringing the total to 45 tracks. In the first verse when she croons "the crowds and stands went wild," the crowd indeed went wild.

In the "Red" era, Swift crowned a deserving fan with a black fedora during "22." They were typically children, but one adult Swiftie was crowned in Melbourne . Dancer Kameron Saunders had the only speaking line on the tour besides Swift during her song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." He said "like ever" at the American shows, but when the tour went international, he switched up the phrase each night. And yes, we track that. Swift knew all too well each crowd had "10 minutes to spare," and she played her longest song, in total, for about 14 hours.

She was only tied to the "Invisible String" for five shows and traded the opening "Folklore" era number to "The 1" in Arlington, before news of her split from actor Joe Alwyn . She brought "Invisible String" back for one night in Nashville because the Tennessee capital is home to Centennial Park. Nashvillians also noticed that Swift switched a note during "The 1" lyric "you meet a woman on the internet and take her home." She kept the key change for every succeeding show.

Right before the first lyric of "Style" during the "1989" set, fans began a tradition of saying, "What time is it?" to which the singer replied, "Midnight, you come and pick me up." In Sydney, Australia, a "Blank Space" chant from the 1989 World Tour was reborn and repeated in Singapore. Taylor Nation, Swift's marketing team, tweeted that it hopes fans at every tour stop going forward shout their city. In Philadelphia, a "Bad Blood" remix originated when Swift noticed a security guard hassling a fan . "She's fine. She wasn't doing anything. Hey! Stop! Hey, stop!" became the cool thing to say after, "It's so sad to think about the good times, you and I." Fans also incorporated a Kendrick Lamar line from the "Bad Blood" remix: "You forgive, you forget, but you never let it go."

And then came the surprise set . (More on her collaborators and announcements below.) Each night, Swift performed one song on the guitar and one on the piano that she hadn't yet performed on the tour. That is until 2024, when she added mashups and threw out her rule of never repeating songs. At the end of the set, she swan dives into a hole in the stage. Fans later caught a red light that turned green to signal it was safe to jump.

After meeting her at "Midnights," fans sang Jack Antonoff's version of "Anti-Hero." When Swift sings "tale as old as time," the crowd chimes in, "Taylor, you'll be fine." Tyler Conroy made a viral video of him screaming , "Where you going Taylor?" during "Bejeweled" before she sings, "I'm going out tonight," and the trend caught on like a blaze ripping through the Lover house. Finally, after Swift changed the lyrics to, "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs," in Argentina with her boyfriend Travis Kelce in the crowd, that became the standard for fans. She has only sang it that way four times, when he was in attendance in Buenos Aires, Sydney and Singapore.

If you would direct your attention to the back screen

In addition to boosting economies everywhere she went, Swift created an abundance of news. She announced "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" in Nashville. She announced a new version of "Midnights" and premiered the "Karma (Remix)" music video featuring Ice Spice as the upstart rapper joined Swift in East Rutherford, New Jersey. She released "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" right before her Kansas City, Missouri, stop and then debuted the "I Can See You" music video starring Taylor Lautner and Joey King who were at the show. Lautner backflipped on the catwalk.

It might have seemed strange that Swift ended the American leg of her tour on a Wednesday in Los Angeles, but not to the eagle-eyed Swiftie who realized the date was 8/9. That's the day she announced the rerecording of her fifth album, "1989 (Taylor's Version)." The album came out during her break before her Argentina tour dates. It topped the Billboard charts and allowed her to bypass Elvis for the most weeks with an album at No. 1.

Then, she announced her 11th album, "The Tortured Poets Department," at the Grammys after winning her 13th career award. At her tour stops in Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore, she revealed there were four total versions of "Tortured Poets" and told fans they would get a different bonus track on each one : "The Manuscript," "The Bolter," "The Albatross" and "The Black Dog."

Welcome to the acoustic set

One of the most anticipated portions of an Eras Tour show is the acoustic set. At most of the concerts, she only spoke before the guitar song. In rare instances, she tested the microphone before the piano song and made an announcement.

Occasionally she invited collaborators to join her onstage. Marcus Mumford surprised fans in Las Vegas to play "Cowboy Like Me." Her co-producer and close friend Aaron Dessner from The National joined her six times on stage, in Tampa (twice), Nashville, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Santa Clara. Jack Antonoff came out to play "Getaway Car" in New Jersey. Maren Morris did a "You All Over Me" duet in Chicago. When their opening acts were canceled for weather, Gracie Abrams performed "I Miss You, I'm Sorry" and Sabrina Carpenter sang a dyad mashup of "White Horse" and "Coney Island."

Some of the surprise songs came with hidden messages. Fans speculated she sang "Bigger Than The Whole Sky" as an ode to a fan who died , "End Game" to Travis Kelce watching her show from the VIP tent and "Gold Rush" as a congratulations to Jason Kelce for retiring. She has performed "You're On Your Own Kid" five times, in Tampa, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Tokyo and Singapore.

And he never thinks of me, except when I'm on TV

To close out the first year of the Eras Tour, Swift released the third film version of her concert to streaming service Disney+. This version included "Cardigan" and four acoustic songs: "Maroon," "Death By A Thousand Cuts," "You Are In Love" and "I Can See You."

The second version came out on Swift's birthday, Dec. 13. Fans could rent it for 48 hours at a price of $19.89, and it included "The Archer," "Wildest Dreams" and "Long Live" cut from the original movie.

The original movie was released Oct. 13, in the middle of the Hollywood strikes. Swift did what studios and streaming services were unable to: make a deal with SAG-AFTRA. She worked with the unions and was able to market and show her movie how she saw fit. The film made more than $250 million globally and got her nominated for a Golden Globe award .

Would you be interested in one more song?

If you're still with me on this walk down Eras Tour Lane, it's important to make one final note before the tour resumes in Paris in May. Before her magnum opus took off higher than the "Bad Blood" flames, Swift chose "Mirrorball" and "Tim McGraw" to be her very first surprise songs. She ended year one with the same two songs, but flipped the instruments she played them on in a full-circle moment.

Her new album will come out April 19 and the full Eras Tour is streaming on Disney+, which begs the question: What her show will look like come Paris? She has a two-month break before 69 shows scheduled for Europe and North America. She also has two rerecords left to release: "Reputation (Taylor's Version)" and her self-titled debut album.

If there's one thing any Swiftie knows, it's Taylor Swift's ability to make news and create lasting memories through her record-shattering tour. What a first year; on to year two!

On Taking Chances

On Taking Chances

It’s good to mess up and learn from it and take risks. It’s especially good to do this in your twenties, because we are searching. That’s GOOD. We’ll always be searching, but never as intensely as when our brains are still developing at such a rapid pace.

Taylor Swift is often teased for the experiences she had in her twenties, but looking back, says she's learned from all of it .

On Using Your Pain

On Using Your Pain

There are two ways you can go with pain: You can let it destroy you or you can use it as fuel to drive you…

Taylor Swift seemed to take her own advice with her  Reputation Tour,  which played off of the damage done by her feud with Kim Kardashian.

On Being Vulnerable

On Being Vulnerable

Learn how to make a sincere apology, and you can avoid breaking down the trust in your friendships and relationships.

Following the "Bad Blood" and "Look What You Made Me Do" era of Taylor Swift, she admitted learning this important life lesson .

On Ignoring The Haters

On Ignoring The Haters

I want to say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday, when you get where you’re going, you will look around and you will know — it was you, and the people who love you, who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world.

Taylor Swift made this emotional speech when she accepted the Grammy for album of the year in 2017.

On Just Being Yourself

On Just Being Yourself

What I’ve learned is not to change who you are, because eventually you’re going to run out of new things to become.

Perhaps this is a commentary from Taylor Swift about her  Reputation  period - although it's also just good advice in general.

On Accepting Yourself As You Are

On Accepting Yourself As You Are

I worked hard to retrain my brain that a little extra weight means curves, shinier hair, and more energy... I work on accepting my body every day.

Taylor Swift got real about body image and acceptance in a March 2019 piece for  Elle .

On Loving Yourself

On Loving Yourself

You have to be happy with who you are and the choices you make. If you don't like yourself, you'll never be truly happy.

This beloved Taylor Swift quote is often made into pretty graphics to share on social media. It has even appeared in books about the star.

For When You're Getting Social Media Burnout

For When You're Getting Social Media Burnout

Social media can be great, but it can also inundate your brain with images of what you aren’t, how you’re failing, or who is in a cooler locale than you at any given moment. One thing I do to lessen this weird insecurity laser beam is to turn off comments.

Taylor Swift admitted that she turned off her comments (likely after the snake scandal with Kim Kardashian ) on Instagram for her mental health.

On Surrounding Yourself With Good People

On Surrounding Yourself With Good People

The lesson is that you shouldn’t care so much if you feel misunderstood by a lot of people who don’t know you, as long as you feel understood by the people who do know you, the people who do show up for you, and the people who see you as a human being.

Taylor Swift shared this vulnerable moment with audiences during the  Reputation Tour  in 2018.

On Standing Up For Yourself

On Standing Up For Yourself

Grow a backbone, trust your gut, and know when to strike back. Be like a snake—only bite if someone steps on you.

Kim Kardashian famously called Taylor Swift a snake during their feud, but the star turned around and made the symbol her own for her  Reputation Tour .

On Her Two Favorite Accessories

On Her Two Favorite Accessories

Happiness and confidence are two of the prettiest things you can wear.

The Grammy winner shared this uplifting tip with her fans in 2012.

On Letting Things Go

On Letting Things Go

I’ve come to a realization that I need to be able to forgive myself for making the wrong choice, trusting the wrong person, or figuratively falling on my face in front of everyone.

Taylor Swift really opened up in the March 2019 interview she did with  Elle .

On Supporting Your Fellow Woman

On Supporting Your Fellow Woman

Other women who are killing it should motivate you, thrill you, challenge you, and inspire you rather than threaten you and make you feel like you’re immediately being compared to them.

The "Bad Blood" singer said this was one of the many important things she learned before turning 30 .

On Friendships

On Friendships

Losing friendships can be just as damaging to a person as losing a romantic relationship.

Taylor Swift, the queen of the squad , certainly knows a thing or two about friendships.

On Staying True To Who You Are

On Staying True To Who You Are

If you’re lucky enough to be different, don’t ever change.

The superstar has talked at length about not fitting in as a child , but clearly, she doesn't regret it!

On Putting Yourself First

On Putting Yourself First

If someone in your life is hurting you, draining you, or causing you pain in a way that feels unresolvable, blocking their number isn’t cruel. It’s just a simple setting on your phone that will eliminate drama if you so choose to use it.

This is Taylor Swift's hard-learned tip on banishing drama from your life.

On Ignoring What Strangers Think Of You

On Ignoring What Strangers Think Of You

Taylor Swift shared this lesson she had learned while performing on her  1989  tour in 2018.

On Leaving Behind A Legacy

On Leaving Behind A Legacy

No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind.

This makes perfect sense coming from Taylor Swift, as she's known for treating her fans and tour crew so well.

On Taking Care Of Yourself

On Taking Care Of Yourself

Guarding your heart and protecting your dignity are a little bit more important than clarifying the emotions of someone who's only texting you back three words. I've learned that from trying to figure out people who don't deserve to be figured out.

Who couldn't use dating advice from the star known for putting all of her romantic successes and failures into her music?

On The Silver Lining Of Breakups

On The Silver Lining Of Breakups

She lost him, but she found herself, and somehow that was everything.

Taylor Swift included this gem in the  1989  liner album notes.

On Expressing Yourself

On Expressing Yourself

Keeping your emotions all locked up is something that’s unfair to you. When you clearly know how you feel. You should say it.

Taylor Swift has always been a proponent of expressing yourself, whether you do it like her - through music - or any other medium that speaks to you.

On Remaining Your Own Person, Even In A Relationship

On Remaining Your Own Person, Even In A Relationship

[Guys] can be a part of your life, but never let the guy be your life. They can live in your world, but never make the guy your world. Knowing who you are, and being independent and strong will be attractive to the right guy.

This advice seems to have worked for Taylor Swift herself, as she's still reportedly dating British actor Joe Alwyn.

On Moving On

On Moving On

You and I both know there's got to be some greater storyline for you than 'girl get's heart broken, was sad forever.' I think a nice one would be, 'girl gets heart broken, was sad for a while, but in her heartbreak, she found freedom, friends and the ability to look back and laugh at all she'd learned.'

Taylor Swift is known for her deep connection to her fans, and has spent a lot of time Tumblr reblogging posts, and sharing advice for those going through difficult breakups.

On Being Straightforward

On Being Straightforward

Deciding not to play games is the best way to go because it keeps things simple: If he messes it up by playing around with your heart, you'll know he doesn't deserve you.

After all the public drama Taylor Swift has been through with her dating life , she has clearly learned a thing or two about relationships - and here she shares another gem.

On Starting Over

On Starting Over

Giving up doesn’t always mean you’re weak, sometimes you’re just strong enough to let go.

Taylor Swift shared this as one of the many things she learned before turning 30 .

On Trusting Your Gut

On Trusting Your Gut

Here's what I've learned about deal-breakers: If you have enough natural chemistry with someone, you overlook every single thing that you said would break the deal.

Taylor Swift made this confession during a November 2013 interview with  Glamour UK .

For When You Need Help Just Getting By

For When You Need Help Just Getting By

Life is like walking, you take one step at a time.

Taylor Swift is never short on advice for her loyal fans.

On Being Open

On Being Open

In a real relationship or friendship, you’re shooting yourself in the foot if you don’t tell the other person how you feel, and what could be done to fix it. No one is a mind reader.

Taylor Swift has always been a proponent of sharing your emotions , whether it be in a song, in a diary entry, or in an online forum.

When You Need A Bit Of Perspective

When You Need A Bit Of Perspective

Don’t worry. You may think you’ll never get over it. But you also thought it would last forever.

It should come as no surprise that a girl famous for her songs about love has so much relationship advice to share.

For When You Need To Look Inward

For When You Need To Look Inward

It’s important to address our long-standing issues before we turn into the living embodiment of them.

Taylor Swift opened up about the time in her life when she was most famous for her squad, admitting it came from the deep desire to belong after getting bullied growing up.

Netflix original [ ]

On December 13, 2018, Taylor thanked everyone for her birthday wishes on Instagram and also announced that there was going to be a tour movie for the Reputation Stadium Tour that would be released on New Year's Eve, titled Taylor Swift: reputation Stadium Tour . It was filmed at the last Dallas/Arlington show, which was the final US leg date. It featured the surprise song " All Too Well ".

Taylor Swift designed her own stage, complete with an elevator, and a rapid changing room for her eight costumes.

The main screen was 110 feet tall and and made of 12 columns and 1,5OO LED tiles that split into 49 individual screens that moved depending on the song. The stage design is an X shape and it also features a B & C Stage that Taylor accessed with the floating constellation and snake gondolas during " Delicate " and the " Bad Blood "/" Should've Said No " mashup. The band played right behind the main screen and during certain parts of the show, the screen opened and the audience could see them.

During " Look What You Made Me Do ", there was a giant inflatable snake named Karyn on the stage as well as smaller inflatable snakes on the B & C Stage and for the show encore, a water fountain was installed on stage. There were also fire, smoke and fireworks effects throughout the show from the stage. The LED bracelets distributed to the attendees were interactive with the songs and stage visuals.

A Swiftie does a fan chant for Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour.'

Don’t forget this new one for Travis Kelce.

Since 2018, Taylor Swift has released four new albums (not including the re-recorded ones), and is set to release a fifth: The Tortured Poets Department on April 19. The fandom has grown significantly with each album drop, which means there are plenty of baby Swifties attending The Eras Tour. To help educate the new members, OG fans are sharing what to bring to the Eras concert , cute concert ‘fit ideas , and all of the fan chants to know.

Fan chants are specific phrases typically shouted out during a live performance, and they exist for almost every single fandom. BTS ARMY has a fan chant that lists the names of each of the members, which is said before a song begins or during dance breaks. Sometimes, a fan chant can just be a popular lyric that fans like to scream-sing extra loud during a concert, like the bridge in “Keep Driving” for Harry Styles fans .

The fan chants for Taylor Swift include a few of those fave lyrics that are emphasized, but also some inside jokes mixed with clapping. Swifties have even added in some new ones for the Midnights era and Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce that many fans haven’t had the chance to say just yet in a concert.

Whether you’re new or just feeling a little rusty, here are all of the Taylor Swift fan chants to practice before you head to the stadium this year.

One of the Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour' fan chants is in "You Below With Me."

This is not necessarily a chant, but there is a double clap in “You Belong With Me” that has become a must-do for Swifties. This one you might have to practice at home with your friends, like TikToker @concertcrazedcaroline , to really get the timing down. It happens during the bridge.

Lyrics: “ Oh, I remember you driving to my house / In the middle of the night / I'm the one who makes you laugh / When you know you're 'bout to cry”

Fan Chant: *clap clap*

A fan chant that started to pop up because of Swift’s choreography on The Eras Tour is “summon the demons, b*tch.” It happens during Swift’s dance break right after the bridge in “Willow” during her evermore set. TikToker @allisonnicholez did it at her show, along with all the other chants.

Lyrics: “ But I come back stronger than a '90s trend”

Fan Chant: “Summon the demons, b*tch”

One of the most popular fan chants that comes from the reputation era is during Swift’s song “Delicate.” The inside joke actually originated from Swiftie Emily Valencia , who screamed out “one, two, three, let’s go b*tch” at the beginning of the song during a concert. The video of her screaming really took off, and now, even Swift expects to hear it from her fans.

Lyrics: “This ain't for the best / My reputation's never been worse, so / You must like me for me / We can't make any promises / Now can we, babe? / But you can make me a drink”

Fan Chant: “One, two, three, let’s go b*tch!”

There is a Taylor Swift fan chant for 'The Eras Tour' in "Don't Blame Me."

For many Swifties, going to The Eras Tour feels like a religious experience. That may be why this next fan chant has become so popular with this tour. It happens before the breakdown in “Don’t Blame Me,” right before there’s a heavenly glow of lights on the stage.

Lyrics: “Every time you're, every time you're lovin' me”

Fan Chant: “Take us to church, Taylor!”

If you’d like to partake in scream-singing a fan-favorite lyrics, there is one line in Swift’s 10-minute version of “All Too Well” that is beloved. It’s when she says, “F*ck the patriarchy” — obviously.

Lyrics: “And you were tossing me the car keys...”

Fan Chant: "F*ck the patriarchy!"

In a 10-minute-long song, of course, there is a second fan chant. This time, during “All Too Well,” you want to ask Swift, “How’d that make you feel,” before she says, “That made me want to die.”

Lyrics: “ You said if we had been closer in age maybe it would have been fine”

Fan Chant: “How’d that make you feel?”

There is a fan chant in "Style" for Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour.'

Some fan chants are like a call and response, like this one from “Style.” While it’s not as popular as some of the others, it is hilarious. Before Swift starts singing her 1989 hit, just yell out, “ What time is it? ”

Fan Chant: “What time is it?”

Lyrics: “ Midnight / You come and pick me up, no headlights”

Back in 2015, on the 1989 World Tour and during “Blank Space,” Swift did something special at the bridge of the song. Before going straight into “boys only want love if it's torture,” she would add some beats on loop along with chanting the name of the city she was in. Since Swift filmed her show in Sydney for the Taylor Swift: The 1989 World Tour Live film, it’s become an inside joke within the fandom to fan chant “Sydney” during any performance of “Blank Space.”

While that inside joke has kind of fizzled out over the years, it was brought back when Swift performed “Blank Space” in Sydney during the Eras Tour. The “Sydney” chant during the bridge was so loud that you could hear it crystal clear outside the stadium . This fan chant will likely continue for the rest of the 2024 Eras Tour shows, and you can either chant “Sydney” or add in your own city’s name.

Lyrics: “Boys only want love if it’s torture.”

Fan Chant: “Sydney!”

Swift sings the OG version of “Bad Blood” on The Eras Tour, but Swifties have been providing one of Kendrick Lamar’s lines from the remixed music video version as a fan chant. It’s when Lamar says, “You forgive, you forget, but you never let it go.” Since Swift released the remix with Lamar for 1989 (Taylor’s Version) , you know she loves it, too.

Lyrics: “Band-Aids don't fix bullet holes / You say sorry just for show / If you live like that, you live with ghosts”

Fan Chant: “You forgive, you forget, but you never let it go.”

A recent addition to the Eras Tour fan chant list is from when Swift yelled at a security guard at one of her concerts, while defending a fan. While the entire sound from the night went viral on TikTok, the “hey, stop” is specifically a fan fave and is something some Swifties yell out during “Bad Blood.”

Lyrics: “'Cause baby, now we've got bad blood”

Fan Chant: “Hey, stop!”

There is a new Taylor Swift fan chant during "Anti-Hero" for 'The Eras Tour.'

This fan chant originates from Bleachers’ remixed version of “Anti-Hero.” In this version, Swift’s bestie and collaborator Jack Antonoff says, “Taylor, you’ll be fine,” in the background. It happens during the second verse, so don’t get ahead of yourself. Just remember it goes after “congressman,” and replaces “tale as old as time.”

Lyrics: “ Did you hear my covert narcissism I disguise as altruism / Like some kind of congressman?”

Fan Chant: “Taylor, you’ll be fine.”

Swift added this last fan chant when she replaced “guy on the screen” with “guy on the Chiefs” while singing “Karma” in Argentina. Kelce attended Swift’s Nov. 11 show in Buenos Aires, and the Midnights singer gave a nod to her boyfriend with the lyrical swap.

The OG line “karma is the guy on the screen” was a reference to Swift’s ex and actor Joe Alwyn , so it only seems fitting she’s switched it up with “guy on the Chiefs” to match her current partner. Swifties are loving so much that they’re now saying it during the concert , too.

Lyrics: “ Sweet like justice, karma is a queen / Karma takes all my friends to the summit.”

Fan Chant: “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs.”

As Taylor Swift’s ‘Reputation’ era starts to wind down, what is she really trying to say?

reputation tour quotes

On the first day of 2018, the New York Post trumpeted a headline : “Taylor Swift’s ‘Reputation’ tour shaping up to be a disaster.” The piece quoted an anonymous music industry insider who called sales “a mega disappointment” and detailed how fans were upset about the high ticket prices.

Swift, of course, never responded to the naysayers. She didn’t need to. When the tour kicked off in May, she posted Instagram photos after nearly every concert, showing stadiums packed to the brim. In August, Billboard announced that after 27 dates, it was already the highest-grossing U.S. tour by a female artist, raking in nearly $200 million. The previous highest-grossing amount was by … Swift, whose 1989 World Tour previously broke the record in 2015.

View this post on Instagram Look at this HEAVENLY crowd tonight in Pittsburgh- thank you to everyone who came to the show, it was so great to be back in PA. ❤️💕❤️ A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) on Aug 7, 2018 at 9:30pm PDT

As usual, Swift — the master of hidden messages and small gestures filled with meaning — said a lot without saying much at all. That has been true for the majority of the “Reputation” era, which is starting to wind down. The North American leg of the tour ended last weekend, with two sold-out nights at AT&T Stadium near Dallas. The tour continues in Australia next week and concludes in Japan in November. At the American Music Awards on Tuesday, Swift accepted the trophy for favorite pop/rock album for “Reputation."

“I always look at albums as chapters in my life, and to the fans, I’m so happy that you like this one,” she said. “But I have to be really honest with you about something: I’m even more excited about the next chapter.”

That wasn’t a surprising sentiment, as there was a reason she pointedly named her album “Reputation.” As she briefly discussed on the first night of her tour in Arizona, Swift received significant backlash in the past two years and decided to drop out of the spotlight for the longest stretch of her career.

'I went through some really low times': Taylor Swift breaks silence about social media backlash

“A couple of years ago, someone called me a snake on social media, and it caught on,” Swift said. “Then a lot of people were calling me a lot of things on social media. And I went through some really low times for a while because of it. I went through some times when I didn’t know if I was going to get to do this anymore.”

True to form, she didn’t name names: Everyone knew she was talking about the much-discussed 2016 dust-up with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian over West’s song “Famous,” after which the Internet branded Swift a “snake.” So, Swift told the crowd, she decided to embrace the moniker. Snakes became a major theme with “Reputation,” popping up in music videos and merchandise; a gigantic serpent ( apparently named Karyn ) glowered from the stage at every stadium show.

“I wanted to send a message to you guys that if someone uses name calling to bully you on social media, and even if a lot of people jump on board with it, that doesn’t have to defeat you. It can strengthen you instead,” Swift said. “The lesson is that you shouldn’t care so much if you feel misunderstood by a lot of people who don’t know you, as long as you feel understood by the people who do know you.”

That was the first and only time Swift addressed the incident, as she stopped talking to the media in 2016. She didn’t give a single interview when “Reputation” dropped last November. With that first night’s speech, the narrative was set: Swift, who launched her career as the underdog (the one “on the bleachers,” if you will) was once again portraying herself as fighting an uphill battle.

So she trekked across North America, selling out stadiums left and right, showing she can ignore the critics and conquer every obstacle.

She proved she can still land any famous musical guest she wants: Bryan Adams appeared at the Toronto date in August to sing “Summer of 69.” Selena Gomez joined her for “Hands to Myself” in Pasadena, Calif. Robbie Williams sang “Angels” in London. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill surprised the Nashville crowd for a collaboration on “Tim McGraw,” Swift’s first single.

View this post on Instagram UM @hayleykiyoko THAT WAS INSANE!! Thank you so much for coming to surprise the crowd tonight at @gillettestadium - THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!! So stoked this was your first stadium performance, and you absolutely killed it 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 A post shared by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) on Jul 26, 2018 at 10:24pm PDT

At the same time, Swift used her massive platform to promote others: She invited newcomer Hayley Kiyoko to sing “Curious” in Foxborough, Mass. Breakout country star Maren Morris showed up in Arlington, Tex., to belt out “The Middle.” And Swift showed she will never forget her Nashville roots: The last night of the tour, Sugarland arrived to sing “Babe,” a Swift co-wrote that is climbing the country radio charts.

She continued her tradition of long concert speeches, which made headlines: In Chicago during Pride Month, she told the crowd , “It’s very brave to be vulnerable about your feelings in any sense, in any situation, but it’s even more brave to be honest about your feelings and who you love when you know that it might be met with adversity from society.” In Minneapolis, she gave a rare performance of “Tied Together With a Smile” and urged fans to remember that appearances aren’t everything: “Just because somebody looks happy doesn’t mean they are."

The day after the U.S. tour ended this past Sunday, Swift dropped that 400-word political post on Instagram, effectively silencing criticism that she never addresses current events in this incredibly divisive era. It seemed like a shocking move, but in retrospect, it’s the perfect pivot as Swift starts to get ready for her next chapter.

Swift knows she will upset some people for taking a political stance. Clearly, she doesn’t care, as she already saw what happened when your reputation takes a hit. She got through it and reestablished herself as a superstar, making the point more clearly than ever before: Nothing can bring Taylor Swift down, so don’t even try.

In honor of the Eras Tour film releasing on Disney+, look back at the best moments from the concert

reputation tour quotes

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is finally coming to a living room near you!

Following  the theatrical release of the concert film  in October 2023, the Eras Tour film was released on Disney+ on March 14, featuring even more bonus footage from the hit show.

Through the successful world tour , which officially kicked off in March 2023 , Swift takes fans on a musical journey, spanning 10 albums and three hours of music.

With flashy costumes and intricate sets, Swift creates a true spectacle as she performs some of her biggest hits from her illustrious career. Plus, she always has a few surprises up her sleeve, whether it be special guests or announcements about her upcoming albums .

As you relive the Eras Tour with the recent concert film, take a look back at some of the best moments from the show ahead.

It's a Cruel Summer with You

Following a dramatic interlude that references Taylor Swift's first 10 albums, the singer emerges from under the stage to perform her Lover song "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince." She then segues into her hit track " Cruel Summer ," which leads the audience to erupt in applause.

She's 'The Man'

Marcelo Endelli/TAS23/Getty

Swift then addresses the lively crowd, joking that they're making her feel so powerful as she shows off and kisses her biceps. As she slips on a blazer, she transitions into her next song by letting the crowd know that they're making her feel like " The Man ."

This Is Our Place, We Make the Rules

John Shearer/TAS23/Getty

During the show, Swift brings the Lover House to life as she performs the titular song from her seventh studio album with her full band and backup singers.

Swift ends her Lover set by singing her ballad "The Archer," transforming the stage into a starry spectacle.

It's Fearless

Swift then goes back to her Fearless days as she dons her best gold dress on stage. At one point during the set, she throws up a heart for the audience before doing her signature twirl with her studded guitar.

Standing Ovation

Hector Vivas/TAS23/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management

One of the highlights of Swift's Evermore era has to be her performance of "Champagne Problems" at her moss-covered piano, which always earns a huge standing ovation from the crowd — with one of her longest being eight minutes during her Los Angeles show.

Tribute to Majorie

Buda Mendes/TAS23/Getty

During her Evermore set, Swift brings the audience to tears as she performs "Marjorie" penned about her late grandmother Marjorie Finlay , who was an opera singer. For the special performance, Swifties pay tribute to Marjorie by turning on their camera flashlights, creating a beautiful array of lights across the stadium.

Fun Times with Haim

Jeff Kravitz/TAS23/Getty

For select dates when Haim served as her opening act , Swift brought out the sibling trio to perform "No Body, No Crime" from her Evermore album. While performing in Santa Clara, California (above), Haim even donned their outfits from the " Bejeweled " music video, in which they played Swift's evil stepsisters.

Entering Her Reputation Era

Don Arnold/TAS24/Getty

Nothing quite tops the introduction to Swift's Reputation era as images of snakes and Swift's clanking heels appear on the screen before her hit song "Ready For It?" blares through the speakers. Of course, the transition from "Don't Blame Me" to "Look What You Made Me Do" is a true highlight of the show.

The Old Taylor Can't Come to a Phone Right Now

Taylor Hill/TAS23/Getty

Paying homage to the " Look What You Made Me Do " music video, Swift's backup dancers dress up as "old Taylors" as she performs the hit song on stage. It's a true "eras" moment to see Swift (in all her snake queen glory) with her old selves on one stage.

1, 2, 3, Let's Go!

From clapping during "You Belong with Me" to singing Kendrick Lamar's verse in "Bad Blood," fans have created many interactive chants for the Eras Tour. However, none of them quite top the "1, 2, 3, let's go b----" chant before "Delicate," which even Swift participates in during each show.

Her Princess Moment

Though the Eras Tour's Speak Now set is short, it's definitely sweet as Swift has her princess moment in a gorgeous gown for "Enchanted."

Long Live the Memories We Made

Emma McIntyre/TAS23/Getty

During a few special performances, Swift extended her Speak Now set by singing her hit " Long Live " with her band.

A Perfect Night to Dress Up Like Hipsters

For her Red set, Swift dresses up like a hipster for her performance of "22." In a heartwarming moment, she ends the song by giving her hat to a special fan in the audience.

We Remember It 'All Too Well'

Swift perfectly sets the scene as she sings the 10-minute version of her song "All Too Well" on stage. As she reminisces about fall and winter, the seasons come to life with leaf and snow confetti.

Trouble, Trouble

Ashok Kumar/TAS24/Getty

Swift doesn't hold back with the special effects as she sings her hit "I Knew You Were Trouble" and bursts of smoke appear around her on stage.

Duets with Phoebe Bridgers

John Shearer/TAS23/Getty

During a few select performances, Swift was joined by her opening act Phoebe Bridgers to perform their song "Nothing New" from Red (Taylor's Version) .

The Folklore Cabin

Buda Mendes/TAS23/Getty

Following her Red set, Swift transitions to her Folklore era where she brings the woodsy cabin to life on stage and soulfully sings tracks such as "Cardigan" and "The Last Great American Dynasty."

Lost in the Memory

Terence Rushin/TAS23/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management

At one point during her Folklore set, Swift puts her cape dress to good use as she twirls around on stage, getting up close with the audience.

The Rain Came Pouring Down

TAS Rights Management/Getty

During her concert in Foxborough, Massachusetts (above), Swift found a way to "shake off" the rain as she danced the night away in her green two-piece.

Burning It Down

Hours after bringing the Lover House to life, Swift burns it to the ground as she performs her hit "Bad Blood" during her 1989 set. During her show at Arrowhead Stadium (above), Swift perfectly matched the fire hue with her orange outfit and boots.

And the Surprise Song Is . . .

Swift's acoustic set has become one of the most anticipated moments of the Eras Tour as Swifties (in the stadium and watching at home) eagerly wait to hear which songs the singer will perform at the show. Surprise songs have ranged from early hits like "Tim McGraw" to a recent introduction of mashups like "New Year's Day/Peace."

Sweet Moments with Sabrina Carpenter

Don Arnold/TAS24/[SOURCE] for TAS Rights Management

During one special show in Sydney, Australia (above), Swift was joined by her opening act Sabrina Carpenter who joined her in a special performance of "White Horse" at the flower-covered piano.

Speak Now (Taylor's Version)

Swift has also used her acoustic set as an opportunity to make some very special announcements, starting with the announcement of Speak Now (Taylor's Version) during her Nashville show on May 5, 2023 (above).

Friendly Reunions

John Shearer/TAS23/Gett

Months later as Swift debuted the music video for " I Can See You " from Speak Now (Taylor's Version) , she enlisted some surprise guests . The singer was joined on stage by Presley Cash, Joey King and her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner , who all played pivotal roles in her Speak Now era.

1989 (Taylor's Version)

Kevin Winter/TAS23/Getty

As Swift performed one of her final shows for the U.S. leg of the Eras Tour on Aug. 9, 2023 (above), she shocked the crowd by announcing 1989 (Taylor's Version) on stage. For the special moment, she debuted several new blue concert looks in honor of the album.

Special Guest Ice Spice

Kevin Mazur/TAS23/Getty

Swift turned MetLife Stadium into a party in May 2023 as she was joined by Ice Spice (above) for a special performance of " Karma ."

Making the Whole Place Shimmer

Swift proves that a diamond's gotta shine as she performs "Bejeweled" on the stage, complete with delightful choreography from her backup dancers.

Dressing for Revenge

Swift's sultry performance of "Vigilante S---" is another highly talked about moment from the show (and has quickly gone viral on social media as many try to replicate her intricate chair choreography).

Confetti Falls to the Ground

John Shearer/TAS23/Getty for TAS Rights Management

It wouldn't be a Taylor Swift show without confetti! As Swift closes the tour with "Karma," the stage is covered with rainbow confetti representing Swift's first 10 albums.

Thanks to Swifties, trading friendship bracelets have become a memorable part of the Eras Tour. If you plan on making bracelets and need inspiration, we’ve got you covered. Read on for the best  Taylor Swift friendship bracelet ideas  for every era, including quotes, music lyrics, inside jokes, and more!

Remember when you were at a sleepover or summer camp, and you and your friends made colorful beaded bracelets and traded them with each other? We certainly do, and that sense of nostalgia is exactly what makes crafting friendship bracelets for the Eras Tour so special. Trading a meaningful item that connects you with another Swiftie who has shared the same experience (like seeing your idol live in a once-in-a-lifetime concert) is what it’s all about.

The idea to make friendship bracelets for Swift’s tour emerged sometime after the pop star released her tenth studio album,  Midnights,  in October 2022. One of the album’s tracks, “You’re on Your Own, Kid,” features the lyrics:

’Cause there were pages turned with the bridges burned Everything you lose is a step you take So make the friendship bracelets Take the moment and taste it You’ve got no reason to be afraid

After the album’s release, some fans suggested on social media to create and swap friendship bracelets at the pop star’s upcoming tour. Once the tour officially began and more concertgoers participated in the trend, creating friendship bracelets for The Eras Tour turned into a worldwide phenomenon. Swifties have shared tutorials about making friendships on social media, started selling friendship bracelets on Etsy, and posted videos of wearing and trading their bracelets at the Eras Tour.

After all, Swift’s football beau, Travis Kelce, revealed on his podcast “New Heights” that he tried to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number before one of her concerts at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he admitted at the time. So you could say that a friendship bracelet kicked off their “love story.”

Everyone from Swift and Kelce to the celebrity Eras Tour guests to the pop star’s bodyguard has sported friendship bracelets from fans. Who knows, yours may even get onto the arm of Blondie herself.

I'm a Swiftie, but I'm Not Streaming Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Movie. Here's Why

Commentary: It's been a long time coming, but now that the Eras Tour is streaming on Disney Plus, I'm turning a blind eye to the movie.

reputation tour quotes

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is now on Disney Plus.

It's fair to say that the two nights I spent at Taylor Swift 's Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018 feature among the top five in my life -- and not just because I met Swift in person before the show. The handful of other times I've seen her perform, including the 1989 tour, would easily make the top 10.

And yet I won't be among the many thousands of people streaming the Eras Tour Movie this weekend, even though I'm a Disney Plus subscriber. Likewise, I didn't go to see the film in the theater or pay to rent it online. I've decided not to watch the movie at all -- for now, at least. (I realize you may feel otherwise, in which case see our guide on  how to watch the Eras Tour movie on Disney Plus .)

The reason is simple: As a British Swiftie , I haven't had the chance to see the Eras Tour live yet. All this is set to change in a touch under three months when Swift comes to Edinburgh as she embarks on the UK leg of her tour. This is the first time I'll see the show that's been dominating cultural discourse for the past year as Swift has traveled all over the US, Latin America, Australia and Singapore.

Until I experience the Eras Tour for myself, I'm not going to watch the movie version. This is because I want the first time I see the show in full to be in person rather than through a screen. I'm far from alone in making this decision. Many Swifties across Europe with tickets for this summer's dates have also chosen to hang back from overindulging in tour content. One of my friends has achieved the impossible and managed somehow to avoid almost all tour content on social media, and still doesn't know the set list.

I've not been that strict with myself. I'm familiar not only with the set list, but also the costumes and each beat of the opening number of the show. I've examined diagrams that map Swift's movements around the stage so I can choose the best positions for the nights I have standing tickets. After every show, I let myself watch the surprise song performances in the acoustic section, as I know I'm unlikely to get to see these songs live. At times it's made the wait for the show to arrive in my region of the world feel painful, but it's hard not to dip my toe into the copious amount of tour content available.

Taylor Swift singing

I know Don't Blame Me will be a highlight of the show.

After the Reputation Tour, the movie that was available to stream until the end of 2023 on Netflix became one of my most frequently rewatched pieces content on the platform. It was almost permanently downloaded on my iPad so that I could turn to it while sleepless on overnight flights or delayed on British trains. My now-husband even put it on to distract me while he was preparing to propose.

I can already anticipate a point in the near future where I'll feel the same way about the Eras Tour Movie. Once I've experienced the show for myself, I'll immediately discard my current stance in favor of streaming it on repeat. It's a real test of my willpower not to give in right now, just as it was when it was showing at my local theater. (I did pop in to buy the popcorn bucket and cup, though.)

I hope also that the movie comes back to theaters at a later date for Swifties like me and my friends who've chosen to refrain for now. I know that reliving the Eras Tour on screens both big and small will be something for us to look forward to once the post-concert depression sets in.

When I finally watch the movie, it will be not as a precursor to delights that lie ahead, but as a time capsule containing a treasured memory of what will inevitably be a new entry to the list of the top five nights of my life.

Reputation, you know – a lifetime to build, seconds to destroy.

Somehow Jesus's reputation has survived all the embarrassing things that Christians have done in his name.

reputation tour quotes

It is better to be alone than in bad company.

Worry about your character, not your reputation. Your character is who you are, and your reputetion is who people think you re.

It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently.

John Wooden quote: Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is...

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

Whoever renders service to many puts himself in line for greatness - great wealth, great return, great satisfaction, great reputation, and great joy.

It takes a lifetime to build a good reputation, but you can lose it in a minute.

Character is much easier kept than recovered.

It takes many good deeds to build a good reputation, and only one bad one to lose it.

The church grew, and I gained a reputation for preaching, and people came, and it was a wonderful community. But we had a building that seated 82 people, and with a congregation then approaching 400 we were up to four services on Sunday, and everyone was tired.

Sometimes you can have a reputation for not being relatable and nice because you had a bad day once.

Jesus still has a really great reputation and the Spirit is still moving. I've got a lot of hope for a generation that takes Jesus seriously, once again.

Judge [Samuel] Alito has a reputation for being an exceptional and honest judge devoted to the rule of law, as well as being a man of integrity.

You can't build a reputation on what you are going to do.

The greater the difficulty the more glory in surmounting it. Skillful pilots gain their reputation from storms and tempests.

As a general rule, a reputation is built on manner as much as on achievement.

Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

One can survive everything, nowadays, except death, and live down everything except a good reputation.

Reputation is only a candle, of wavering and uncertain flame, and easily blown out, but it is the light by which the world looks for and finds merit.

A reputation for good judgment, for fair dealing, for truth, and for rectitude, is itself a fortune.

Faithfully guard your reputation.

How difficult it is to save the bark of reputation from the rocks of ignorance.

Reputation is what men and women think of us; character is what God and angels know of us.

Taylor Swift has continuously redefined what it means to be a pop superstar for almost two decades. But 2023 might have been her most defining year to date, thanks to the Eras Tour.

With 152 dates in stadiums across five continents, the Eras Tour isn't just Swift's personal biggest tour to date — it's a feat few other artists have accomplished. The sprawling 3 1/2-hour show is an impressive feat in itself, but the tour has gone on to break records and boost economies, firmly cementing Swift's stratospheric position as one of pop's all-time greats.

There's a reason why the term "The Taylor Swift Effect" has been coined — it captures the impact Swift has had not just on music, but society as a whole. Swift's latest concert tour weaves through her 10- (and soon to be 11 -) album discography, totaling a whopping 44 songs across 10 different acts for each "era." Between the allure of each set's surprise song and the next-level fan engagement, the tour has become far more than your average concert — it's a full-on cultural moment.

Though the trek still has a bewildering nine months to go (it will hit Europe and another North America stretch from May to December), Swift is celebrating the Eras Tour's one-year anniversary by bringing its record-breaking concert film to Disney+ on March 14th.

As fans get ready to stream Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) , GRAMMY.com looks at the impact of the Eras Tour so far, exploring the records Swift has shattered since it first began.

Becoming The Highest Grossing Tour Ever

In eight months, Swift's Eras Tour did something no other artist has ever done: gross over $1 billion on a single tour. Pollstar reported the news in December 2023, stating that the 60+ shows she played in 2023 accumulated to 4.3 million tickets sold.

This number is even more staggering when compared to Elton John 's farewell tour, which lasted five years and had 328 shows and accumulated $939 million . Not only has Swift been able to do the same with 152 shows, but she still has nine months to go — and at the pace she's going, Pollstar projects that she could pass the $2 billion mark.

Shattering Attendance Records

From breaking the all-time record for attendance during her three shows at Nashville's Nissan Stadium in May 2023 to playing the largest shows of her career at Melbourne's Cricket Ground in February 2024 (performing to 288,000 fans over three days), Swift couldn't stop breaking attendance records at various stops. Including those venues, she's broken eight attendance records at seven so far: Seattle's Lumen Field, New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, Pittsburgh's Acrisure Stadium, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and Sao Paolo's Allianz Parque (where she broke one-day and three-day attendance records).

Although her friend and collaborator Ed Sheeran already broke some of her attendance records during his own 2023 world tour, Swift has done the impossible again by creating an entirely new record to break: how many people are both inside and outside the venue. Cities like Tampa and Detroit all had "Taygating" — mass parties with thousands of fellow Swifties that include singalongs, cookouts, and trading handmade friendship bracelets like the fans inside. In Philadelphia alone, cell phone usage data in the area determined that around 57,000 fans "taygated" outside throughout the tour's three nights.

Spiking Craft Sales

Creating costumes for Taylor Swift concerts is something that fans have been doing since Swift's Fearless Tour in 2009 and 2010, but a lyric from MIdnights ' "You're On Your Own Kid" created a new way for fans to engage with each other. The lyric "So make the friendship bracelets/ Take the moment and taste it" sparked a friendship bracelet frenzy, and caused a 40 percent chainwide increase in jewelry sales overall at Michaels craft stores, with locations within Eras Tour stops seeing a 300 percent sales increase in beads and jewelry categories leading up to the concert.

Since the start of the tour, Michaels has also helped Swifties create over 22,0000 bracelets in their bracelet-making classes in-store. And that simple lyric has inspired other fandoms to take part — Formula One fans are handing bracelets off to drivers before races, and British soccer players are making them to help boost team morale.

Spawning The Highest Grossing Concert Film Of All Time

When she announced that the Eras Tour concert film would be headed to the big screen, Swift opted to "bet on herself" by personally investing $10-20 million to bypass Hollywood entirely to facilitate a partnership directly with AMC. To say that bet worked would be an understatement: the Eras Tour concert movie became the highest-grossing concert film of all time , amassing $250 million in worldwide movie ticket sales. On the day it was announced, movie ticket buyers broke AMC's single-day advance ticket sales record, amassing $26 million within 24 hours.

The Eras Tour film would not only become a huge box office achievement , but would become the first concert film to ever be nominated for a Golden Globe, competing against other major box office blockbusters like Barbie and Oppenheimer .

Igniting Social Media

If fans can't physically be at the concert or "Taygate" outside the venue, they can tune in thanks to TikTok's live-streaming capabilities. Fellow fans provide streams of the entire concert for those who want to watch the gig. Although the viewer count varies, anywhere from 30k+ people can be tuning in on one stream (statistics have shown that most fans tune in for Swift's surprise songs).

Since the start of the Eras Tour, TikTok has been flooded with over 1.9 million videos, with Variety reporting that Taylor-related content can average around 380 million views per day and no day falling below 200 million views. Swift took note of some of the fan-fronted trends, too, including the viral "Bejeweled" dance, created by fan Mikael Arellano, as part of her choreography on tour.

Boosting The Economy

Every weekend, cities that hosted the Eras Tour awarded Swift with something special — Nashville placed a bench in Centennial Park as a nod to a lyric in "Invisible String," Santa Clara made her an honorary mayor, Minneapolis renamed the city 'Swiftie-apolis,' and Rio de Janeiro projected Swift's junior jewels shirt from the "You Belong With Me" onto Christ the Redeemer. No matter how the cities honored Swift, her visit was certainly beneficial for their local economies — one stop of the Eras Tour averaged around $1,300 spending per person on travel, hotels, food, and merchandise.

The U.S. Travel Association likened it to the Super Bowl , but happening 53 times across 20 cities, estimating the economic impact to be around $10 billion by the time the tour wraps. It's a tour that has single-handedly changing travel , according to CNN, with fans choosing their travel based on where they can get tickets. And since money talks, politicians and world leaders — from Canada's Prime Minister to the Chilean President — have come out in spades to beg for Swift to add their countries to the worldwide tour.

Breaking Niche Records

Two nights in Seattle resulted in a "Swift Quake" after so many fans danced to "Shake It Off," which caused seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3 magnitude earthquake. Seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach collected 10 hours of data — from the music to the speakers to the dancing — to see how that energy can impact the ground enough to shake it.

Although not an official record, within the Swiftie community, fans have had battles to see which city can have the longest-standing ovation after "champagne problems," as detailed on Reddit and Billboard . Right now, Swift's penultimate Los Angeles show at SoFi Stadium is the winner, clocking in at 8 minutes .

Elevating Swift's Discography

After the start of a tour, it's natural for artists to see their discography have a short influx of listeners and then taper off again. But after the first 10 weeks of the Eras Tour, Swift's catalogue was growing more and more with every stop — up to 79 percent more than where she was before the tour began. And instead of listeners streaming specific singles or albums, the streamers were all over Swift's set list; Billboard reported that 23 of the 42 songs performed have doubled in weekly streams.

The tour even helped the resounding fan favorite from 2019's Lover, "Cruel Summer," transform from beloved deep cut to chart topper. Streams of "Cruel Summer" went up 304 percent, resulting in the track becoming both her 10th No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and her sole longest-leading No. 1 on Billboard 's all-format Radio Songs chart.

Using the Eras Tour to work in tandem with her rerecording release schedule has also become an integral marketing tactic. So much so that coinciding the tour and the releases (as well as the announcements) has helped contribute to her having six albums in the top 20 of the year-end Billboard 200 , more No. 1 albums than any woman in history with 13 (as of press time), and 1989 (Taylor's Version) outselling the original — a staggering 1.3 million albums in its first week.

Swift wrapped her first 2024 Eras Tour leg in Singapore on March 9, as she's now preparing to release her highly anticipated 11th album , The Tortured Poet's Department , on April 19. Three weeks later, the Eras Tour will pick back up in Nanterre, France, on May 9, with dates nearly every week until it wraps in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Dec. 8.

With an already record-breaking tour and a new album on the way, there's no doubt that the world will continue to feel the impact of Taylor Swift and her pop star prowess — throughout 2024 and beyond.

This March, the Recording Academy celebrates Women's History Month with pride and joy. Press play on this official playlist that highlights uplifting songs from Taylor Swift, Victoria Monét, Anitta and more.

From commanding stages to blasting through stereos, countless women have globally graced the music industry with their creativity. And though they've long been underrepresented , tides are changing: in just the last few years, female musicians have been smashing records left and right, conquering top song and album charts and selling sold-out massive tours .

This year, Women's History Month follows a particularly historic 66th GRAMMY Awards , which reflected the upward swing of female musicians dominating music across the board. Along with spearheading the majority of the ceremony's performances, women scored bigtime in the General Field awards — with wins including Best New Artist , Record Of The Year , Song Of The Year , and Album Of The Year .

Female empowerment anthems, in particular, took home major GRAMMY gold. Miley Cyrus ' "Flowers" took home two awards , while Victoria Monét was crowned Best New Artist thanks to the success of her album Jaguar II and its hit single "On My Mama." As those two songs alone indicate, female empowerment takes many different shapes in music — whether it's moving on from a relationship by celebrating self-love or rediscovering identity through motherhood.

The recent successes of women in music is a testament to the trailblazing artists who have made space for themselves in a male-dominated industry — from the liberating female jazz revolution of the '20s to the riot grrl movement of the '90s. Across genres and decades, the classic female empowerment anthem has strikingly metamorphosed into diverse forms of defiance, confidence and resilience.

No matter how Women's History Month is celebrated, it's about women expressing themselves, wholeheartedly and artistically, and having the arena to do so . And in the month of March and beyond, women in the music industry deserve to be recognized not only for their talent, but ambition and perseverance — whether they're working behind the stage or front-and-center behind the mic.

From Aretha Franklin 's "RESPECT" to Beyoncé 's "Run the World (Girls)," there's no shortage of female empowerment anthems to celebrate women's accomplishments in the music industry. Listen to GRAMMY.com's 2024 Women's History Month playlist on streaming services below.

How The 2024 GRAMMYs Saw The Return Of Music Heroes & Birthed New Icons

Between an emotional first-time performance from Joni Mitchell and a slew of major first-time winners like Karol G and Victoria Monét, the 2024 GRAMMYs were unforgettably special. Revisit all of the ways both legends and rising stars were honored.

After Dua Lipa kicked off the 2024 GRAMMYs with an awe-inspiring medley of her two new songs , country star Luke Combs followed with a performance that spawned one of the most memorable moments of the night — and one that exemplified the magic of the 66th GRAMMY Awards.

Combs was joined by Tracy Chapman , whose return to the stage marked her first public performance in 15 years. The two teamed up for her GRAMMY-winning hit "Fast Car," which earned another GRAMMY nomination this year thanks to Combs' true-to-form cover that was up for Best Country Solo Performance. The audience went wild upon seeing a resplendent, smiling Chapman strum her guitar, and it was evident that Combs felt the same excitement singing along beside her.

Chapman and Combs' duet was a powerful display of what the 2024 GRAMMYs offered: veteran musicians being honored and new stars being born.

Another celebrated musician who made a triumphant return was Joni Mitchell . Though the folk icon had won 10 GRAMMYs to date — including one for Best Folk Album at this year's Premiere Ceremony — she had never performed on the GRAMMYs stage until the 2024 GRAMMYs. Backed by a band that included Brandi Carlile , Allison Russell , Blake Mills, Jacob Collier , and other accomplished musicians, the 80-year-old singer/songwriter delivered a stirring (and tear-inducing) rendition of her classic song "Both Sides Now," singing from an ornate chair that added an element of regality.

Later in the show, Billy Joel , the legendary rock star who began his GRAMMY career in 1979 when "Just the Way You Are" won Record and Song Of The Year, used the evening to publicly debut his first single in 17 years, "Turn the Lights Back On." (He also closed out the show with his 1980 classic, "You May Be Right.") It was the latest event in Joel's long history at the show; past performances range from a 1994 rendition of "River of Dreams" to a 2022 duet of "New York State of Mind" with Tony Bennett . The crooner, who died in 2023, was featured in the telecast's In Memoriam section , where Stevie Wonder dueted with archival footage of Bennett. And Annie Lennox , currently in semi-retirement, paid tribute to Sinéad O'Connor , singing "Nothing Compares 2 You" and calling for peace.

Career-peak stars also furthered their own legends, none more so than Taylor Swift . The pop star made history at the 2024 GRAMMYs, claiming the record for most Album Of The Year wins by a single artist . The historic moment also marked another icon's return, as Celine Dion made an ovation-prompting surprise appearance to present the award. (Earlier in the night, Swift also won Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights , announcing a new album in her acceptance speech. To date, Swift has 14 GRAMMYs and 52 nominations.)

24-time GRAMMY winner Jay-Z expanded his dominance by taking home the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award , which he accepted alongside daughter Blue Ivy . And just before Miley Cyrus took the stage to perform "Flowers," the smash single helped the pop star earn her first-ever GRAMMY , which also later nabbed Record Of The Year .

Alongside the longtime and current legends, brand-new talents emerged as well. Victoria Monét took home two GRAMMYs before triumphing in the Best New Artist category , delivering a tearful speech in which she looked back on 15 years working her way up through the industry. Last year's Best New Artist winner, Samara Joy , continued to show her promise in the jazz world, as she won Best Jazz Performance for "Tight"; she's now 3 for 3, after also taking home Best Jazz Vocal Album for Linger Awhile last year.

First-time nominee Tyla became a first-time winner — and surprised everyone, including herself — when the South African starlet won the first-ever Best African Music Performance GRAMMY for her hit "Water." boygenius , Karol G and Lainey Wilson were among the many other first-time GRAMMY winners that capped off major years with a golden gramophone (or three, in boygenius' case).

All throughout GRAMMY Week 2024 , rising and emerging artists were even more of a theme in the lead-up to the show. GRAMMY House 2024 hosted performances from future stars, including Teezo Touchdown and Tiana Major9 at the Beats and Blooms Emerging Artist Showcase and Blaqbonez and Romy at the #GRAMMYsNextGen Party .

Gatherings such as A Celebration of Women in the Mix , Academy Proud: Celebrating LGBTQIA+ Voices , and the Growing Wild Independent Music Community Panel showcased traditionally marginalized voices and communities, while Halle Bailey delivered a GRAMMY U Masterclass for aspiring artists. And Clive Davis hosted his Pre-2024 GRAMMYs Gala , where stars new and old mingled ahead of the main event.

From established, veteran artists to aspiring up-and-comers, the 2024 GRAMMYs were a night of gold and glory that honored the breadth of talent and creativity throughout the music industry, perfectly exemplifying the Recording Academy's goal to "honor music's past while investing in its future." If this year's proceedings were any indication, the future of the music industry is bright indeed.

10 Acceptance Speeches That Made Us Laugh, Cry, & Smile At The 2024 GRAMMYs

From Taylor Swift's record-shattering Album Of The Year win, to Killer Mike and boygenius category sweeps, these are the emotional GRAMMY winning moments that made up Music's Biggest Night.

Glitz, glamor, and great performances from legendary musicians are only part of what make the GRAMMYs Music’s Biggest Night. It’s also an occasion to honor the music industry’s best and brightest, highlight their greatest achievements from the past year, and watch them soak up the glory.

Some of the night’s biggest moments came when artists accepted their GRAMMY trophies, from Taylor Swift announcing her next album to teary-eyed moments from SZA and Best New Artist Victoria Monét . Here are a few of our favorite acceptance speeches from the 2024 GRAMMYs.

Killer Mike Sweeps With Three GRAMMYs In A Row

Atlanta rapper Killer Mike had already given a moving speech upon winning Best Rap Performance for “Scientists & Engineers,” saying “I want to thank everyone who dares to believe that art can change the world.” But his third and final win, Best Rap Album for Michael , sent him into another dimension: “It’s a sweep! Atlanta, it’s a sweep!”

Tyla Was Shocked To Win Best African Performance

Although her hit song “Water” has dominated the charts, even Tyla was caught off guard by her Best African Music Performance win – the first ever awarded in this category – exclaiming “What the heck?!” The South African star continued "This is crazy, I never thought I’d say I won a GRAMMY at 22 years old."

Boygenius Sweep The Rock Categories

Boygenius already had something to celebrate when Phoebe Bridgers won a GRAMMY for her collab with SZA. They went on to win three categories during the Premiere Ceremony – Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance, and Best Rock Album – enabling each member of the trio to give a separate speech. “We were all delusional enough as kids to think this might happen someday,” Lucy Dacus said.

Miley Cyrus Was A Class Act

Accepting the prize for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Flowers,” Miley Cyrus took to the stage to strike a pose with presenter Mariah Carey – “This M.C. is gonna stand by this M.C.” — before launching into a story about a boy who tries desperately to catch a butterfly, before nabbing one when they least expect it. “This song ‘Flowers’ is my butterfly,” she concluded.

SZA Runs From Backstage To Accept Award

Changing backstage after her GRAMMYs performance , SZA was caught off guard when “Snooze” won Best R&B Song. She embraced friend and presenter Lizzo before giving an emotional, funny speech. “I can’t believe this is happening, and it feels very fake,” she said. “I love you, I’m not an attractive cryer, have a good evening.”

Taylor Swift Announces New Album

When the pop mega-star took to the stage to accept her lucky 13th overall GRAMMY for Best Pop Vocal Album ( Midnights ), she decided to use the moment to give her fans the ultimate gift, announcing her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department , will release on April 19. “I want to say thank you by telling you a secret that I've been keeping from you for the past two years,” she said.

Billie Eilish Didn’t Know What To Say

After delivering a lovely performance of her Barbie movie ballad “What Was I Made For?,” Billie Eilish wasn’t exactly at a loss for words when the track won Song of the Year . The words that came out of her mouth were a bit less than rehearsed, however: “Whoa, whoops, yikes, whoa my goodness! Damn, that’s stupid guys!” she said. “I don’t even know what to say, I’m shocked out of my balls.”

Victoria Monét Delivers Tearful, Eloquent Speech

Through tears of joy, Best New Artist winner Victoria Monét gave a speech worthy of an artist who spent years writing for others before striking out on her own. “This award was a 15-year pursuit,” she said, going on to compare herself to a plant growing in the soil of the music industry. “My roots have been growing underneath ground, unseen, for so long, and I feel like today I’m sprouting, finally above ground.”

Miley Cyrus Makes An Even Wilder Record of the Year Speech

Cyrus returned to the stage twice after her first GRAMMY win, first to perform her award-winning song , and then once more to accept a second golden gramophone for Record of the Year. “This award is amazing, but I really hope it doesn’t change anything, because my life was beautiful yesterday,” she said. Then she ended the speech by saying “I don’t think I’ve forgotten anyone, but I might’ve forgotten underwear!”

Taylor Swift’s Record-Shattering Album of the Year

Lightning struck twice for Taylor Swift, as the evening ended with her taking home a record-breaking fourth GRAMMY for Album of the Year ( Midnights ), more than any other artist in GRAMMY history. Flanked by producer Jack Antonoff and friend and collaborator Lana Del Rey , she gave a speech that highlighted her passion for music-making, saying  “For me the award is the work. All I wanna do is keep being able to do this. I love it so much, it makes me so happy." As happy as Swift was, her fans probably left even happier.
