Forza Horizon 5 adds Stadium Oval and four new cars in May’s Festival Playlist

Forza Horizon 5 is now up to its 20th Festival Playlist!

High Performance is the title of the upcoming festival, set to start on 27th April 2023, and it is set to add four new cars into the fold as well as a new permanent racing course.

It’s an oval track. I’m wildly excited, personally.

During the Forza Monthly livestream on 21st April, the Playground Games team unveiled the new festival as well as the new content. Here’s what to expect next week!

NEW CARS COMING TO FORZA HORIZON 5

There are four new cars coming to Forza Horizon 5 this time around. Each will be available to unlock by only collecting 20 PTS in each respective season, as it was in the 19th Festival Playlist.

  • Lamborghini Huracán STO (20 PTS in Week 1 – Summer)
  • Porsche 935 (20 PTS in Week 2 – Autumn)
  • 2021 Audi RS 6 (20 PTS in Week 3 – Winter)
  • Porsche Mission R (20 PTS in Week 4 – Spring)

The Mission R is an all-electric prototype racing car, seen in both Rennsport and iRacing to date. The 935 takes the 911 GT2 RS, strips out the interior and fits retro bodywork – aka, a beast.

Meanwhile, the STO is the most extreme version of the Huracán, with rear-wheel drive and a racing-inspiring aerodynamic kit. Finally, the RS 6 is an insane, 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo estate car, or wagon, that can do 0-60mph in a staggering 3.4 seconds.

OVAL STADIUM RACE TRACK ADDED

This upcoming month, the Horizon Stadium will be overhauled with a full-fledged oval racing track to run around on. While this will be just a temporary fixture in free road during the High Performance festival, the track will become a permanent fixture as a venue to race at starting next week.

FORZA HORIZON 5, HIGH PERFORMANCE, SERIES REWARDS

There are a ton of fast cars to unlock by participating in May’s festival! Two of the most ‘legendary’ ones that have been in the game for some time are up for grabs for the overall series rewards this time around.

By collecting 80 PTS, the ‘hard to find’ and ‘legendary’ Ferrari 599XX is unlocked. Considering that 70 PTS are up for grabs in every season, this should be a given to get if you just go for the season rewards amounts each week.

As for the overall prize, after collected 160 PTS, the McLaren F1, another ‘hard to find – legendary’ car can be yours.

FORZA HORIZON 5, HIGH PERFORMANCE, SUMMER

The first of the new cars this festival is found in the Summer Wet Season, and it’s the Lamborghini Huracan STO, Horizon 5’s newest ‘exclusive’ and ‘legendary’ ride. This is unlocked at 20 PTS earned.

A returning ‘epic’ ride, the KTM X-Box GT4, which is ‘hard to find’ otherwise, is the overall week prize at 40 PTS earned.

Players will need the 2013 Ariel Atom V8 500 for the #FORZATHON Weekly Challenge, completing it will earn 5 PTS and 80 Forzathon Points.

In the Forzathon shop is the ‘legendary’ Lotus Elise GT1 for 600 Forzathon Points.

The Trial this week will yield a ‘rare’ 1999 Lancer GSR. There are two Eventlabs to do, the latter which gives up a Super Wheelspin, but the former which unlocks an ‘epic’ 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo.

Three PR Stunts will also yield chances for other prizes with three more Super Wheelspins. There are two Seasonal Championships that will provide two ‘rare’ prizes in the 2019 Porsche 911 and the 2012 BMW M5.

Summer will have a Treasure Hunt!

‘Charmed, I’m Sure’ will have a whopping 100 Forzathon Points to collect, plus three more regular PTS towards the weekly and seasonal rewards.

There’s also a #FASTALAVISTA Photo Challenge to complete which requires a 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast and a well-place photo at the Buenas Vistas Player House.

A Horizon Open reward is in play for completing, the ‘rare’ 2013 Dodge Viper.

For those with DLC, Rally Adventures and Hot Wheels events are out there, the ‘epic’ Lamborghini Huracan P available to unlock in the Hot Wheels Seasonal Championship.

FORZA HORIZON 5, HIGH PERFORMANCE, AUTUMN

Moving into the Autumn Storm Season, yet another new car in the #70 Porsche 935, an ‘exclusive’ and ‘legendary’ racing machine, is up for grabs after scoring 20 PTS during this week which starts on 4th May.

Autumn also has another ‘legendary’ prize at 40 PTS, this one being the ‘hard to find’ NIO EP9.

This week’s #FORZATHON Weekly Challenge requires the use of a 2015 Corvette Z06.

Completing that and earning the usual set of Forzathon Points could put you closer to owning the ‘legendary’ McLaren P1 which is on sale in the Forzathon Shop.

The Trial, which by the way, is just for those in the Horizon 5 Hall of Fame, will offer up a ‘rare’ TVR Griffith for completing.

In the first Eventlab, there’s an ‘epic’ car horn reward while the second offers up another Super Wheelspin.

As for the other season events, PR Stunts have the usual Super Wheelspin rewards. The three seasonal championships, however, have three ‘rare’ rewards in the 2013 BMW M6, the KTM X-Bow and the Porsche Panamera.

No Treasure Hunt, but the ‘legendary’ Toyota Race Suit can be unlocked by doing the #SUPRASONIC Photo Challenge, which obviously needs a Supra (the 2020 Toyota GR Supra, to be specific) and a shot that includes San Juan in the background.

There’s also a Collectibles challenge this week, Safety First, which requires smashing some helmet pinatas.

Again, there are PR Stunts and Seasonal Championships to do in the DLC packs, and again, the Hot Wheels expansion’s seasonal championship offers a ‘rare’ reward in the 2016 Ford Mustang.

FORZA HORIZON 5, HIGH PERFORMANCE, WINTER

In the Winter Dry Season, we get a ‘rare’ and ‘exclusive’ reward at 20 PTS in the 2021 Audi RS 6, another new vehicle to Forza Horizon 5. At 40 PTS, the ‘hard to find’ and ‘epic’ Noble M600 is unlocked.

For the #FORZATHON Weekly Challenge, players will need the 2015 Ultima Evolution Coupe 1020 to complete the event.

This week, a ‘legendary’ Agera RS is in the Forzathon Shop, and it will cost 700 Forzathon Points.

Unfortunately, we don’t quite know the prizes that can be won for the Season Events. We know there will be The Trial, two Eventlabs, a Season Playground Games, three PR Stunts, two Seasonal Championships and a Horizon Tour, but that’s it.

Thankfully, we do know that there will be a Winter Treasure Hunt! Road Ready is the title and 100 Forzathon Points (and three regular PTS) are up for winning by finding that chest.

The #FASTFROMTHEPAST Photo Challenge is non-specific this week, just any retro supercar and the Temple of Quechula as the backdrop.

Horizon Open has a reward in competed in, and it’s just an Applause Car Horn (it’s ‘epic’ though!).

Like the other season events, we also don’t know the rewards for the DLC events. We will update the article when possible.

FORZA HORIZON 5, HIGH PERFORMANCE, SPRING

The final week is Spring, and what better time than the Hot Season than to bring out the absolute fire that is the Porsche Mission R, the final ‘exclusive’ and ‘legendary’ addition to the title for the month.

20 PTS will unlock the all-electric beast, and at 40 PTS, you can get the 2015 Jaguar XKR-S, a ‘hard to find’ and ‘epic’ prize.

To complete the Weekly Challenge for #FORZATHON this time, players will need a 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast, the same car needed for Summer’s Photo Challenge in this festival. That’s two birds and a single stone there, so don’t miss out.

If you’ve got the funds, and ‘legendary’ Rimac Concept 2 is the main feature in the Forzathon Storefront for the final week.

An ‘epic’ Ferrari 458 is the reward for winning The Trial in Spring. A ‘rare’ 2011 Volkswagen Scirocco is the reward for completing the second Eventlab (not the first, that’s a Super Wheelspin this time!).

The PR Stunts yield more Super Wheelspins, but the Seasonal Championships yield a couple of cars. One is just a common HSV Maloo from 2014, but the other is an ‘epic’ 1992 Honda NSX-R.

A final week gives us a final Treasure Hunt, Old is Gold, and it looks like you’ll need to probably go fast… and go for the gold… but I’ll let Oas figure that out next month.

The #LAMBONO5 Photo Challenge (which makes 4-for-4 on GREAT hashtags this month!) will need any Lamborghini at El Arco de Cabo San Lucas for a photo opportunity.

Oh, there is The Eliminator to do this week, and a ‘rare’ 2008 Dodge Viper can be unlocked here.

The final set of DLC season events offer up some more Super Wheelspins, and Hot Wheels players can get the ‘rare’ Mercedes-Benz C63 for doing the Seasonal Championship.

New accolades

Just when you thought you’d completed all the accolades, here are 21 new ones.

PATCH NOTES

This month will feature some fixes and updates for all players as well. Here are the highlights:

Forza Horizon 5 players don't have to wait long to get their hands on the new features and content in Series 20 "High Performance." The Festival Playlist and Evolving World will begin on Thursday, April 27, 2023, but the accompanying update should arrive before then (usually the Tuesday before) on every platform. This does mean an end to the extended night times of Forza Horizon 5 Series 19 "Midnights at Horizon," but new content is right around the corner.

Forza Horizon 5 has long been one of the best Xbox racing games you can play, and it continues to get better with every update. In case you missed it, Forza Horizon 5: Rally Adventure recently released with a ton of fresh content for players to explore, fulfilling Playground Games' promise to release two DLC expansions for the game during its lifetime. FH5 isn't done, however, as it'll undoubtedly get a lot more iterative Series updates moving forward.

Windows Central's take

Forza Horizon 5 has been looking good with the last few updates, and Series 20 "High Performance" is no exception. The Horizon Oval Circuit, particularly, is something players have been requesting since the game launched, so it's great to finally see it added. I wish it could be made a permanent addition to the map, but that would mean sacrificing the Stadium and Playground Games may have other plans for it in the future. Still, at least it'll always be available as a racetrack, which should make players happy.

All the latest news, reviews, and guides for Windows and Xbox diehards.

It'll be interesting to see how Forza Horizon 5 continues to keep players interested moving forward, now that both DLC expansions are released. How long will we continue to see new cars be added to the game? Either way, the game's post-launch support has been very strong, and the car list continues to expand at a healthy pace. It seems Forza Horizon 5 is in very good shape, right now.

Forza Horizon 5 – High Performance Update Will Add Oval Circuit to Horizon Stadium

The track will be fully explorable in free roam for the high performance series only, but will also be permanently added as a race route to the game..

forza horizon 5 high performance content update

Forza Horizon 5  saw the launch of its second major expansion,  Rally Adventure , just a couple of months ago, but it seems developer Playground Games still has ideas for new content to put into the open world racer to keep players coming back.

A new update, the High Performance update , is being pushed out on April 25, and though it’s not a meaty one, it is an interesting on. Starting April 27, the Horizon Stadium will be transformed into an Oval Circuit that will be “decorated with various Horizon race-inspired props”.

The Oval Circuit will be fully explorable in free roam for the High Performance series only, while it will also be permanently add to the game as a race route for for solo, cooperative, and competitive play. Players will also be able to set lap times on leaderboards and use the circuit as a new EventLab build stub, while 20 new accolades will also been added.

Forza Horizon 5  is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.

Hot rods, super cars, and pickups take over the Festival with the American Automotive Car Pack, available starting November 7 for $4.99!

2017 Saleen S7 LM

A grey Saleen S7 parked outside of a building in front of a garden

Built to celebrate the seven years of victories the original S7 had, the 2017 Saleen S7 LM is a tremendous hypercar all around.

As one of the most remarkable examples of American car manufacturing, the S7 LM produces a staggering 1,000 bhp brought to you by a 7.0 - liter twin turbo V8 engine. It is said that the new and improved body of the S7 LM can produce enough downforce to make it able to be driven upside down in a tunnel.

Whether you want to drive it wheel-side up or down, you cannot miss out on the storm of power the Saleen S7 LM will bring to the Horizon Festival.

1961 DeBerti Ford Econoline ‘Shop Rod’

visit the oval track in freeroam

When you see flames in front, you already know this custom car is going to be fast.

Originally built to work, but customized to leave skid marks at every red light it stops, the 1961 DeBerti Ford Econoline ‘Shop Rod’ is a monstrous hot rod that can (and will) take you by surprise.

The custom work on this van is remarkable, it has been fitted with a 5.8-liter Coyote V8 engine that puts 850 bhp on the tip of your toes.

The only thing this van will deliver at the Horizon Festival will be Ls to every car that dares challenge it.

2020 Chevrolet Silverado LT Trail Boss

visit the oval track in freeroam

Sporting a 5.8 - liter V8 engine, the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado LT Trail Boss wants to be your vehicle of choice when trying to have some fun in the mud.

A two-inch lift and locking differentials help this truck switch from pavement to basically anything else seem meaningless.

A powerful truck that can mudsling with the greatest, the Silverado LT Trail Boss makes an off-road detour sound like a great idea.

2024 Czinger 21C

Blue Czinger sports car driving on a bridge

The future is here and with it come 3D printed cars such as the 2024 Czinger 21C.

Built in California, this American hypercar is built of light but resistant materials printed by a super computer in the most sci-fi process we have heard of.

Even if you don’t get terms like “powder-bed fusion”, there’s one thing you will understand: speed & power. The 21C blasts 1,350 hp, a number we only saw on the car drawings we made as kids. And when all is said and done, the 21C shatters lap times and records. It clocked in 1:25:44 at Laguna Seca and it is said to reach 100 kmh in 1.9 seconds.

Fulfill your childhood dreams driving this piece of the future, today.

This series we are bringing a phenomenal Festival Playlist packed with eight exclusive cars!

Eight horsepower maulers are waiting for you to collect those Playlist points and unlock some of America’s finest creations ever.

Explore around the Oval Track to find the Inflatable Football collective on the first week of the Festival Playlist. Remember that you will also be able to use this collectible in your EventLab creations.

The challenges start on November 9, start collecting and unlocking!

2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Black Corvette standing still at night on top of a road

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is an American soon-to-be legend created to change the supercar game. This Corvette is both surprisingly affordable and impeccable, being able to go toe-to-toe on the tarmac with other cars that are twice the price.

It’s middle-mounted, massive 5.5-liter V8 engine blasts the car from 0 – 100 kmh in 2.6 seconds only. All that power does not compromise the experience of this car as its supreme grip and braking make it a dream to drive.

The Z06 is a more affordable super car that has everything car heads around the world love with an American feel.

1964 Plymouth Belvedere

The shortest version of the classic Belvedere still packs a massive punch!

The 1964 Plymouth Belvedere was fitted with a humongous 7-liter V8 engine that made this car a wonderful drag racer due to its big power and lighter weight.

Not only gaining notoriety on the streets, the ‘64 Belvedere did a complete sweep of the 1964 Daytona NASCAR race taking all three positions.

Relive its old glories going round the Oval Track or take it to the Street Scene and see what a classic muscle drag racer can do!

1966 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport

Blue Nova SS driving fast on a dirt road in front of short trees

Some cars are born made to wave the flag, like the 1966 Chevrolet Nova, one of America’s (and the world’s) most beloved muscle cars of all time.

The Nova’s massive 5.3-liter V8 engine sends power to an AWD drive system that makes it the perfect contender for the next race occurring at your nearest traffic light.

Paying honor to its name, the Nova is one of the muscle car era’s biggest stars and completely deserving of a spot in your garage during this series.

1968 Pontiac Firebird

Red Firebird racing through road in front of a pink stage

Nothing screams “Born in the USA” louder than the iconic headlights of a Firebird dashing in front of their opponents.

The 1968 Pontiac Firebird does an extremely good job accomplishing this thanks to its loud and mighty 6.5 - liter V8 engine that marked what is considered muscle car peak.

Time to set the night on fire with an icon of the 60’s, the Firebird!

2024 Lucid Air Sapphire

Designed in California and assembled in Arizona the 2024 Lucid Air Sapphire is the world’s first fully electric luxury super-sports car.

The thunderous roar of petrol engines now make way for this silent electric powerhouse, challenging the traditional image of American automotive wonders. With an impressive 1,234 hp, the Lucid Air Sapphire does not hold back, sprinting to 100 km/h in just 1.89 seconds.

The Lucid Air Sapphire makes it very clear — the definition of an American supercar will never be the same with this electric all-rounder in the game, and it will stir the competition.

1969 Pontiac GTO Judge

Orange Pontiac GTO with yellow and black details drifting on a road

In the 60’s race for creating the fastest car possible, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge is guilty of stepping up the game.

Its exterior design captured the funky-psychedelic vibe of the era and on the inside, a hammering 6.5 - liter V8 engine that could put 365 bhp at your service.

The verdict is in, the GTO Judge is a must have for muscle car lovers and enthusiasts of speed alike.

2010 Rossion Q1

The most fun you can get from a box with the label “assembly required” has a name, and that is 2010 Rossion Q1. This unhinged DIY super car is super sizzling to be put onto the track and run like there’s no tomorrow.

The Q1’s recommended engine, a Ford twin-turbocharged Duratec V6 engine, puts out 508 bhp and, much like its predecessor (the Noble M400), it can spew some gasping times on the track such as its 0-100 kmh clocking in at 3.4 seconds.

This car will be available as a reward for 20 PTS on the Festival Playlist, and luckily, you will not have to lift a single wrench to start doing laps around Mexico.

1962 Lincoln Continental

Black Lincoln Continental parked outdoors in front of cacti and a brick wall

Take a deep breath and engulf all the style of the 1962 Lincoln Continental, its not for nothing that this car was used to transport presidents and royalty alike.

And if the outside is not enough, wait until you crack those doors open in the coolest way known to mankind: the opposite one.

But as we all know, it’s the inside that counts the most, and what an inside does this Lincoln have! Like every other amazing icon of the era, this Continental is hiding a burly V8 that can put out 300 bhp.

Style and speed are the bread and butter of this car, and they can be yours too for 40 PTS on the Festival Playlist.

' data-src=

Boogity boogity boogity let’s go racing drivers! Forza Horizon 5 gets a bit Motorsport-y with its latest Festival Playlist, High Performance (Series 20).

For these four weeks, the Horizon Stadium is now converted into an Oval Circuit with a lot of race-inspired props. While it’s only there as a limited-time event to explore during Free Roam and in High Performance events, the track is a permanent addition as a race route. You can race solo, with other players via co-op or PvP, do Rivals time trial and even using the oval as an Eventlab build stub to create your own race track.

Forza Horizon 5 Series 20 New Cars

Alongside the oval are four new-to-Forza cars, thre of which are proper racing cars that surely be heading to the new Forza Motorsport game. The new cars are as follows:

  • 2020 Lamborghini Huracán STO – 20 points in Summer
  • 2019 Porsche #70 Porsche Motorsport 935 – 20 points in Autumn
  • 2021 Audi RS 6 Avant – 20 points in Winter
  • 2021 Porsche Mission R – 20 points in Spring

Forza Horizon 5: How to Complete a Challenge Card in Freeroam

Forza Horizon 5 players must complete a Challenge Card in freeroam this week to earn Forzathon Points, but the task can be difficult.

The Festival Playlist for Spring Series 3 in Forza Horizon 5 features the "Challenge Accepted" daily Forzathon task, which asks players to complete a Challenge Card in freeroam. This means players can't load an easy custom event they want with a code.

With so many event types and icons cluttering the map, freeroam Challenge Cards can be hard to spot. Most people take part in them with a code, or through the Super 7, so this guide will go over exactly how to complete a freeroam Challenge Card in Forza Horizon 5 .

RELATED: Forza Horizon 5: Eliminator Tips and Tricks For Winning

How to Complete a Challenge Card in Freeroam

As mentioned, Challenge Cards are mostly played by entering a custom code, or as part of the Super 7 event. However, to complete a Challenge Card in freeroam, players will have to travel to the small pink and blue hexagonal icons . These are random, singular challenges that often appear near the pink Horizon Festival Mexico symbol . Press RB on controllers and untick everything but "Event Lab" to make spotting the symbols easier.

Drive or Fast Travel in Forza Horizon 5 to a card and start it like any other event. As these challenges are randomized, there is no way to tell if the selected card is going to be difficult or not. If players do get stuck on a certain task, quit out of the game and load back in to refresh the Challenge Cards.

If this is a player's first time taking part in a Challenge Card, they will also unlock the "A Wild Challenge Card Appears!" Accolade. Keep completing cards and taking part in the Super 7 event to unlock even more Accolades to climb up the Hall of Fame leaderboards in Forza Horizon 5 .

Series 3 Spring Forzathon Shop Items

Players will earn 10 Forzathon Points for the "Challenge Accepted" Daily Challenge (20 if the right house has been unlocked in Forza Horizon 5 ). These can be used in the Forzathon Shop in exchange for cars, cosmetics, emotes, and Wheelspins. The selection changes every week.

For Series 3 Spring, the shop's hot deal is the 2019 Valhalla Concept Aston Martin for 600 FP, and the 600LT Coupe McClaren is also available for 400 FP. A pair of Gold Leather Boots , and the Duck Quack Car Horn can be purchased for 75 FP each. As always, a Super Wheelspin is available for 300FP, and an ordinary Wheelspin can be purchased for 80FP.

Keep completing Daily Challenges and taking part in Horizon Arcade events in Forza Horizon 5 to earn more Forzathon Points. Sometimes free FP is awarded to players as a seasonal perk, or to make up for server issues. Make sure to check the message center regularly for potential free cars and other rewards.

Forza Horizon 5 is out now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
