Country fans are going to need to start planning for 2024.

Luke Combs announced his plans on Tuesday for the Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour. The string of North American tour dates includes 25 shows across 13 U.S. cities, as well as one date in Canada.

The country music star, 33, will kick off the upcoming live dates in April 2024 in Milwaukee and eventually wrap up the shows in Houston in mid-August 2024.

All but one U.S. city tour stop will include two shows — one on Friday night and one on Saturday — and the set list is scheduled to change depending on the date. (There will only be one concert in his tour stops in University Park, Pennsylvania and Craven, Canada.)

The “Fast Car" cover singer will also be joined by a handful of special guests each night. On Fridays, Cody Jinks, The Avett Brothers, Charles Wesley Godwin, Hailey Whitters and The Wilder Blue will play, and on Saturday he will be joined by Jordan Davis , Mitchell Tenpenny , Drew Parker and Colby Acuff.

In a press release, the "Hurricane" artist shared his excitement about hitting the road. “We got an opportunity to do two shows in some U.S. markets on the World Tour, but when I found out we were going to be able to do two shows for most all of the cities on the 2024 tour, I decided I wanted each show to have their own unique set up of openers, as well as my own unique setlist. I thought this would give people an opportunity to come to both nights if they want, but see two completely different shows,” he said.

The CMA Award winner continued, “With Country music being such a wide genre and being a huge fan of it all myself, I wanted to open up my stage to acts that lean into Outlaw, Americana and Red Dirt on Friday nights, as well as having a night with people I have toured with in the past, who are more contemporary country. I’m super excited to have both groups be out on the road with me for the Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour!”

The show was awesome, there were several good guys! I love Luke and Brantley, they are a great combination!I would love to see Luke again soon in Alabama, I missed him in Birmingham. The interaction with the crowd was great. When I bought my tickets it was to see Luke Combs, and he didn't disappoint.

Absolutely fantastic performance...Ashley Mcbryde was superb as the opener (I predict we see her on the C2C main stage before very long!)and Luke totally smashed it. Im just sorry I didn't get tickets to both nights as would have happily gone straight back tonight...

Great show. High energy. Although it did feel very rushed. Very nice guy though. He tossed a few picks into the crowd but then handed me a pick directly. Very cool. It's awesome when they notice ur into the show

bigworm6917’s profile image

He was amazing as always. First time seeing Ashley, only knew a few songs. I left the concert a bigger fan for her. Did not get to see Drew perform due to the traffic. To & from the arena it was crazy insane..

Show was absolutely amazing. Ashley kicked it off with an amazing set just her and the guitar and an almighty voice. Luke and his band then rocked the whole arena with a blistering set. Awesome night

This gig was simply OUTSTANDING.

Ashley McBryde and Luke Combs might just be the best show combo I've ever seen.

From beginning to end this was a truly memorable experience.

Combs released a new album in March titled “Gettin’ Old,” a companion to this 2022 record “Grownin’ Up.” Both records, which have topped global charts, explore themes of family, legacy, love and personal growth.

A statement from Country Thunder said that Combs is currently in the midst of “the largest tour ever for a country artist,” with 44 shows across 16 countries.

The 33-year-old artist from North Carolina has won eight Country Music Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and three Billboard Music Awards since he began his career in 2014.

Earlier this year, Combs partnered with Opry Entertainment Group to open a massive multi-level entertainment complex in downtown Nashville, expected to open next summer.

Combs recently earned his record-breaking, 16th consecutive #1 single with his version of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” which has accumulated over 111 million global streams to date.

Guests at this weekend’s festival were given early access to tickets for next year’s show. Country Thunder said that tickets for the festival and camping will go on sale to the general public on Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. local time.

“With 2023 still rocking in the Craven Valley, the stars have aligned for what will be a mind-blowing edition of Country Thunder Saskatchewan in 2024,” said the statement from Country Thunder.

The Country Thunder Music Festivals organization holds multi-day events in North America, including Arizona, Wisconsin, Alberta, Bristol and Florida.

Luke Combs Announces 2024 Stadium Tour

The "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old Tour" includes two-night stands in multiple cities, promising unique setlists and openers

Luke Combs Announces 2024 Stadium Tour

Luke Combs has added a run of 2024 US stadium shows to his “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour.”

The upcoming tour includes two-night stands in multiple cities, including shows at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, Jacksonville’s EverBank Stadium, Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium, Houston’s NRG Stadium, and Phoenix’s State Farm Stadium. For these shows in particular, Combs is promising a unique setlists and opening acts.

Tickets are available via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

“When I found out we were going to be able to do two shows for most all of the cities on the 2024 tour, I decided I wanted each show to have their own unique set up of openers, as well as my own unique setlist. I thought this would give people an opportunity to come to both nights if they want, but see two completely different shows,” Combs said in a statement.

“With Country music being such a wide genre and being a huge fan of it all myself, I wanted to open up my stage to acts that lean into Outlaw, Americana and Red Dirt on Friday nights, as well as having a night with people I have toured with in the past, who are more contemporary country. I’m super excited to have both groups be out on the road with me for the ‘Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour!'”

Joining Combs will be opening acts including Cody Jinks, The Avett Brothers, Charles Wesley Godwin, Hailey Whitters and The Wilder Blue, Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Drew Parker and Colby Acuff. You can find his complete tour schedule and see who is playing when below.

The “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour” comes in support of Combs’ recent albums Grown’ Up and Gettin’ Old . The latter LP includes a cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and led Chapman to become the first Black woman to be the sole writer on a No. 1 country song .

Luke Combs’ New Album 2024: Everything We Know So Far

LUKE COMBS’ NEW ALBUM 2024

Expected release date: 2024, expected tracklist:.

  • Noah's Arkansas
  • Plant A Seed
  • The Man He Sees in Me

After a blockbuster 2023 that saw Luke Combs drop a brand new album, tour across the US, Australia and Europe , as well as earning a CMA Award and a coveted Grammy nod , it's safe to say the ‘ Fast Car ’ megastar has earned a lengthy break.

However, thankfully for us fans, whenever he steps off stage and takes some time at home, this tends to leave room for Luke to pick up his trusty guitar and pen some brand new tunes.

It's been less than a year since Luke released his Growin’ Up sequel, Gettin’ Old , but it seems he's already sifting through and reviewing songs for his eagerly awaited new record.

As country music fans began to swap the Fireball for a bottle of Baileys and dust off their cozy, George Strait-themed Christmas jumpers in the lead-up to the holiday season, the North Carolina hitmaker gave listeners an early present when he shared an acoustic rendition of a stellar unreleased original, ‘ Noah's Arkansas ’.

Fans immediately started calling for the cleverly composed track, which was co-written by Luke and his good buddy, Erik Dylan, to be made available on streaming platforms.

Then, shortly before ushering in the New Year, Luke Combs posted a clip of him playing an endearing, introspective song about the complex yet rewarding life of a father.

In the caption, the ‘ Love You Anyway ’ singer-songwriter light-heartedly apologised for the abundance of ‘dad songs’ he's been putting out of late, with this newly shared unreleased track, ‘Plant A Seed’, following in the same vein as much of Gettin’ Old .

Luke Combs explained, “Got sent this song a while back from [Wyatt McCubbin] that he wrote with [Rob Snyder] and [Jeff Hyde]. Last night it was in my head and I couldn’t sleep so I got up and messed around with it for a few hours. Been singing it to myself all morning and as I watched the boys while Nicole got a shower in I recorded this. Hope y’all like it and sorry for all the dad songs but that’s where I’m at these days and I couldn’t be happier about it”. Tantalisingly, Luke then reassured fans that there are “a lot more songs to come soon”.

Towards the end of January 2024, Luke Combs teased another movingly introspective unreleased track, ‘The Man He Sees in Me’, penned for his two sons, Beau and Tex. It's another highlight of what fans are dubbing Luke's ‘Dad Duty Sessions’, with the hit songsmith performing unreleased songs while he looks after his children.

As we keep our eyes peeled for more unreleased snippets and acoustic teasers from the bearded crooner, we'll be hoping for more of the same from Luke as he continues his artistic evolution from the rowdy, beer-chugging protagonist of ‘When It Rains It Pours’ into the introspective, reflective father that drives ‘Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old’.

Best moments of the 2024 Grammy Awards, from Jay-Z's fiery speech to Joni Mitchell's stunning debut

For over six decades now, the Grammy Awards have consistently cued up iconic musical moments.

Remember when M.I.A. performed at the 2009 show while having contractions , or when, in 2011, Lady Gaga hit the stage packaged in an egg or how Elton John and Eminem mended fences with "Stan" back in 2001? Delightfully, this latest edition added more such instances to the growing catalog.

From nostalgic appearances by the likes of Joni Mitchell (who won her 10th Grammy Sunday night) and Billy Joel, to standout performances from today's pop star legends such as Dua Lipa's hypnotic opening medley and Miley Cyrus' charming performance of "Flowers" after winning her first Grammy of her career, the 66th annual Grammy Awards show from Los Angeles' Crypto.com arena delivered an eclectic array of stellar star turns.

Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.

We take a look at some of the top moments from the night, including Taylor Swift making Grammy history and Jay-Z delivering a fiery speech .

Taylor Swift makes Grammy history with 'Midnights'

A seemingly shocked Taylor Swift broke a Grammy record Sunday night, taking her fourth album of the year award for "Midnights," stepping out from the trio she'd left behind, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon (who all have won album of the year three times).

"I would love to tell you that this is the best moment of my life, but … " Instead she listed endless moments from finding a bridge to a song to heading to Japan (imminently) to continue the 2024 leg of her Eras Tour.

Earlier in the night, Swift's "Midnights" also won a Grammy for pop vocal album. Swift noted onstage it was her lucky 13th Grammy win ("That's my lucky number, I don't know if I told you that?" she joked). Then to shrieks from Swifties in the crowd, the singer announced the April 19 release of a new album , "Tortured Poets Department."

Celine Dion's surprise Grammys appearance after stiff-person syndrome diagnosis

Canadian siren and bazillion album-seller Celine Dion drew a standing ovation from the crowd simply for walking out onstage. As it should be.

Dion, whose Las Vegas residency set countless records, has been battling stiff person syndrome and enduring the loss of her husband and longtime manager, René Angélil. But Sunday night, the five-time Grammy winner was brief before announcing the night's big award, album of the year (to Swift). "Thank you all. I love you right back," Dion said. "When I say that I'm happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart."

Ohio-native Tracy Chapman, Luke Combs perform moving duet of 'Fast Car'

A diminutive Tracy Chapman, with grey streaked hair, plucked her acoustic guitar and country superstar Luke Combs, large and in charge, hit the stage to perform Chapman's 1988 hit song "Fast Car." The duo traded verses, and time seemed suspended as Combs looked like a child living his dream singing next to Chapman.

Stars in attendance, including Swift and Oprah, stood up to sing and dance along to the classic tune. While some music grabs you by the throat, this song tears at your heart. The song concluded, Combs bowed to Chapman and the two embraced onstage.

In a pre-recorded segment, Combs said Chapman's tune, which she released at just 24, became his first favorite song as a young boy. A tune that, 35 years after its debut, nabbed a Country Music Award this year thanks to Combs turning it into a concert sing-along favorite. It was also the first such win for a Black woman.

Annie Lennox calls for Gaza ceasefire during Sinead O'Connor tribute

Oscars, take note. The Grammys just showed you how "In Memoriam" segments are done. Sunday night's comprehensive "In Memoriam" paid tribute to scores of music industry veterans, starting with a heartfelt tribute to Tony Bennett by Stevie Wonder . Seated at his piano, Wonder first sang "For Once in My Life" alongside an archival video of Bennett singing, then performed the late icon's "The Best Is Yet to Come."

Annie Lennox then took the stage, her left eye featuring a long make-up teardrop, as a photo of Sinead O'Connor appeared behind her. As her rendition of O'Connor's indelible "Nothing Compares 2 U" ended, Lennox called for a ceasefire in Gaza with her first in the air. "Artists for a ceasefire. Peace in the world!"

Jon Batiste, along with singer Ann Nesby, did their best to conjure the ghost of Bill Withers with a medley of hits. Oprah also hit the stage as the strains of Tina Turner's classic "Proud Mary" filled the air to introduce Fantasia Barrino, who delivered a powerful and graceful tribute to the late icon.

Rolling on a river indeed.

Jay-Z slams Grammys for never awarding Beyoncé Album of the Year

Jay-Z , sleek in all-black, took the stage with his daughter Blue Ivy, 12, to receive this year's Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. Beyoncé, equally stunning in complementary white, beamed with pride from her table.

Aside from thanking the award's namesake, the hip-hop legend held no punches during his lengthy speech calling out the Grammys for never awarding his wife the album of the year award. "We love y'all. We want y'all to get it right. At least get it close to right," he said. " … I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than anyone and never won album of the year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work." Beyoncé currently holds 32 Grammys to her name.

Joni Mitchell's stunning first Grammys performance with Brandi Carlile

Joni Mitchell first blew musical minds nearly 60 years ago, as a talented if seemingly shy genius from Canada. Mitchell, 80, wowed the arena with a touching rendition of "Both Sides Now," a reflection back on life written when she was a twentysomething. Mitchell's voice may not be soaring as it once was, but the darker timber simply added more poignancy to her words.

Mitchell also won the Grammy for best folk album for "Joni Mitchell at Newport." For her performance, alongside Brandi Carlile, Mitchell appeared appropriately sitting on a throne, holding a cane. "I've looked at life from both sides now," she sang. And you know she has.

Bill Joel performs 'Turn the Lights Back On' for first time

It was a night of firsts. Mitchell hit the Grammys stage for the first time, and Billy Joel debuted his new single, "Turn the Lights Back On." Sitting at the grand piano, Joel sang, "Please open the door …" And with that, a 30-year songwriting drought ended for the 74-year-old.

While the new song won't be confused for one of endless rollicking Joel hits, it was a reminder that the "Piano Man" still has power in his fingers and voice and is still capable of creative flourishes at his age. "Did I wait too long, to turn the lights back on?" Joel sang. The answer to that was in the standing ovation.
