Traveler Reviews

I cant recommend this tour highly enough. I asked a friend to recommend one thing to do with limited time in Moscow and he said, check out the metro. I did one better, and went on this individual tour yesterday with my very well informed guide, Alina. She took me to a number of stations and explained the history, politics and meanings behind the different sculpures and artworks in a way that made the whole experience far more meaningful than getting on and off the metro without guidance would have done. I had a really fantastic time and was thoroughly impressed. To top it all off, we had lunch and Alina suggested some great things for me to do, even whatsapping me maps, suggestions, and internet links. Today she followed up by messaging me to ask how my day was going and if I had any questions about the city, or recommendations for places to eat, etc. A great tour, a lovely guide and a fantastic experience. I couldnt recommend this tour, or Alina, any more highly. Fantastic!

Dear Friends,

My son and myself visited Moscow for a holiday in April 2018. And we had selected this fantastic tour. Our Guide Mrs. Julia came sharp at 10.00 AM even though she was not feeling well and had sore throat. Thereafter she took us to many Metro stations. Though I had already visited Moscow last year and seen all these stations, she gave phenomenal historic background and many interesting facts. She was almost fluent in English and and a good knowledge of Russian Culture, food and many other things. Overall we enjoyed thoroughly and I will highly recommend this tour with Julia if possible. Truly amazing person. And even more amazing tour.

Our Tour booked for 26 December 2017 was absolutely amazing. Our guide Julia picked us up from our Hotel in St Peterburg on time in a luxury minivan. Thanks to Julia we were able to see most of the tourist attractions that day. She went out of her way for us to make our day special. She had a vast knowledge of all the places that we visited. Lunch was special in a typical Russian restaurant with food from the region. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Picked up in the hotel lobby by our guide, Lylie, who then walked us to the closest Metro. She walked/trained us to 13 different stations and then explained the history of the metro and the significance of the decor in each station. We had plenty of time to photo, view the decor, watch and ride the trains and observe the people coming and going with their daily affairs. The art work/mosaics/sculptures/stained glass/ marble all had a role to play in presenting the history of communist Russia. The Russian metro well deserves the title of the most interesting and outstanding metro in the world. Lylie then took us to lunch, advised us on menu choices and their significance in the Russian culture and was very happy answering our questions on how the younger generation is responding to the new Russia. We had an outstanding guide, a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this tour over and above other tours which merely include a visit to a small number of stations. Lesley and David - Sydney

Great guide! She explained everything and took me to all the important stations. She knew her stuff! Worth it!

Our guide ,Dacha, was charming and very informative. We took the 2 hour tour and saw what Dacha thought were the most beautiful and interesting metro stations. The Metro is certainly worthy of its museum status and we were glad to have some of the designs and features explained to us.

Revenge tour? Purdue is rolling as it overcomes previous March Madness disappointments

tours basket ffbb

As much as Purdue needed to make a statement against No. 16 Grambling State , it really needed to not only advance past the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament, but do it in commanding fashion.

Consider Step 1 of the revenge tour done , and now the real test begins.

Purdue showed it's taking no prisoners on its Final Four-or-bust run this March Madness as it completely outmatched Utah State in a 106-67 victory Sunday to advance to the Sweet 16.

A season ago, endless memes were made about Purdue after it lost to No. 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson in the first round. Now, there isn't much to make fun of, as the Boilermakers beat the Tigers and Aggies by a combined 67 points. In both games, Purdue put the game out of reach early in the second half and it was practically on cruise control until the final whistle.

Sunday was just another day of Purdue executing what it does best. The nation's leading scorer, 7-foot-4 center Zach Edey , had a game-high 23 points. He had 14 rebounds for a team that dominated the glass to continuously create second-chance opportunities. The second-best team in the country in 3-point shooting was 11-for-23 from downtown. The excellent ball movement resulted in 29 of its 38 made baskets coming off assists. It scored the most point in the team's NCAA Tournament history.

FOLLOW THE MADNESS: NCAA basketball bracket, scores, schedules, teams and more.

Simply put, Purdue is clicking on all cylinders at the right time.

"It kind of proves the country what I've already believed," Edey said. "We got a lot of guys that can go and a lot of guys that can sustain a high level of play."

Perhaps no player has more pressure to deliver this postseason than Edey. L ikely to be the first back-to-back national player of the year since Ralph Sampson in 1980-81 and 1981-82, the star center has been exceptional. After the win against the Aggies, Edey became the first player since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was feasting at UCLA in the late 1960s to put up 50 points and 35 rebounds on 65% shooting in the first two games of the tournament.

"He's just performed like he has here the last couple of years," coach Matt Painter said. "He's just continued to get better. We expect it."

What Purdue is doing right now is very reminiscent – perhaps identical – to what Virginia did in 2019. After it became the first No. 1 seed to lose to a No. 16 seed in men's tournament history, the Cavaliers followed it up with a dominant season that ended in Virginia winning its first national championship in school history.

Fast-forward to this season: Purdue has been one of the best teams in the country and has had no doubt in its first two games of the NCAA Tournament. That's a much better experience than losing to double-digit seeds, which has happened in Purdue's last three tournament trips.

Like how nearly every athlete in a postseason has adopted the famous Kobe Bryant line of "job's not finished," the Boilermakers just aren't satisfied with getting this far.

"I didn't come back to make the Sweet 16," Edey said. "I came back to make a run and deep run. Nobody's satisfied with where we are now. Everybody wants to keep pushing."

Purdue's Sweet 16 matchup

Awaiting Purdue in the Sweet 16 is a Gonzaga team that is nothing like the team it faced during the Maui Invitational. In November, Purdue knew its identity as it beat the Bulldogs by 10-points in the opening round of the preseason tournament. Gonzaga was still trying to figure itself out and didn't resemble a March Madness team.

In the past two months Gonzaga has put together one of the best teams in the country and like Purdue has been exceptional so far in the tournament with no-doubt wins against McNeese State and Kansas. The March Madness magician Mark Few has now taken one of his least star-studded rosters to the Sweet 16 for the ninth straight NCAA Tournament .

It'll be a matchup of teams that have been scoring at will while limiting opponents from keeping up. It has all the makings of being a big-time March Madness game.

"(Few is) a fabulous coach. It's gonna be a very, very difficult game, on both sides for us," Painter said. "They're a different team than we saw. But I also think we're a different team and we've made some improvements."

2024 Houston Open one and done picks, field, top sleepers, rankings: PGA Tour predictions, golf betting advice

Mike mcclure locked in his expert pga one and done golf picks, projected leaderboard, and sleepers for texas children's houston open 2024 at memorial park golf course in houston.

wyndham-clark-usatsi-cbs.jpg

The PGA Tour heads to the Lone Star State this week for the 2024 Texas Children's Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston. The 2024 Texas Children's Houston Open field won't be as strong as other weeks, but it will feature some star power. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler headlines the field and enters as the 14-5 betting favorite in the latest 2024 Texas Children's Houston Open odds. He is followed by Wyndham Clark (14-1), Tony Finau (18-1), Will Zalatoris (18-1), Sahith Theegala (20-1), Jason Day (28-1), and Si Woo Kim (35-1). The total 2024 Texas Children's Houston Open purse is $9.1 million, with the winner's share coming in at $1.638 million.

As the highest ranked player in the field, and the heavy betting favorite, Scheffler will likely be a popular one and done pick for this week for the Houston Open. Should you back Scheffler? Or should you target a long shot like Keith Mitchell (40-1), Tom Hoge (50-1), or Billy Horschel (60-1)? Before locking in your 2024 Texas Children's Houston Open one and done picks, you need to see what SportsLine DFS pro and PGA expert Mike McClure has to say .

The One and Done format is growing in popularity. It has several noticeable similarities to NFL Survivor pools, with the main difference being entries are not eliminated with a bad week. Players pick one golfer per week and earn points based on their selected golfer's prize money for that tournament. Golfers can only be used once per season, and the point format makes nailing majors, signature events, and big money tournaments critical.

McClure is a DFS legend with over $2 million in career winnings, and he's been red-hot on his PGA picks dating back to the PGA Tour restart in June of 2020. McClure uses his proprietary simulation model to analyze the field and crush his  golf picks .

McClure has been on fire with his One and Done picks in 2024. At The American Express he backed Justin Thomas, who finished in third place and took home $635,600. At the Genesis Invitational, McClure tabbed Patrick Cantlay, who finished in fourth place at the signature event, as his top OAD pick. At the Cognizant Classic, McClure's top one and done pick, Min Woo Lee, finished in a tie for second place. Finally, at the Arnold Palmer Invitation, another signature event, McClure recommended using Scottie Scheffler and Will Zalatoris. The Result: Scheffler won the event by five strokes, and Zalatoris finished in fourth place.

His hot steak continued at the Players Championship, where McClure again recommended using Scheffler (if was still available) and Xander Schauffele. Both players were in contention until the end, with Scheffler coming out with the win and Schauffele finishing in second place. Then, at last week's Valspar Championship, McClure recommended using Cameron Young, who finished in second place, in OAD pools.

Now, McClure has dialed in on the Texas Children's Houston Open golf tournament and just locked in his one and done picks and PGA predictions. They are a must-see for any player looking for an edge in their One and Done pool. You can only see McClure's Texas Children's Houston Open 2024 one and done picks at SportsLine .

Top 2024 Houston One and Done picks

One of McClure's top one and done picks this week for the Texas Children's Houston Open is Wyndham Clark. The 30-year-old PGA Tour veteran has three career outright wins, including his triumph at the 2023 U.S. Open. Clark also notched a win at this year's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and finished in second place at The Players and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The Denver, Colo. native has climbed to No. 4 in the Official World Golf Ranking and has become a threat to win any tournament he enters. Clark enters this week ranked third on the PGA Tour in total strokes gained (1.869), eighth in strokes gained tee-to-green (1.214), 12th in strokes gained putting (0.656), and 17th in strokes gained on approach (0.615). With the Houston Open field being wide open, McClure expects Clark to be in contention until the end.  You can see who else to back at SportsLine .

How to make Texas Children's Houston Open 2024 One and Done picks

McClure is also targeting another golfer for his 2024 Texas Children's Houston Open one and done picks who has a long track record of success against elite competition. This former major championship winner has the ability to win any tournament he enters, and is one of the most talented golfers in this field. You can find out who it is, and check out all of McClure's Texas Children's Houston Open one and done picks at SportsLine .

Who wins the the Texas Children's Houston Open 2024, and which golfers should you target for your PGA one and done picks this week at Memorial Park Golf Course? Visit SportsLine now to get Mike McClure's Texas Children's Houston Open 2024 one and done picks, all from the DFS pro who called Nick Taylor's epic win at the RBC Canadian Open and Rickie Fowler's win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in 2023, and Scottie Scheffler's win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational , and find out.
