This is easily the best way to get a first and true experience of what the Marco Island area was like prior to development. We loved driving the Craig Cats, seeing dolphins playing from 1 foot above the waterline, learning about the ecosystem here and the Calusa Indians who once lived here. Tony is a super guide and a heck of a terrific person. Bring some cool drinks for the cooler provided on board and have one of the most unique adventures ive ever had on a vacation!

Fantastic adventure! Do not miss out on this unique experience! Brandon is very safety conscious yet laid back and chill. Your tour is personalized because he keeps the groups small. This way he can let you have fun while making sure everyone uses caution. Great place, tons of fun, a day you won't forget!!

We had a great day with them - March 2023 The weather was great, we saw numerous pods of dolphins, stopped at an island to take a break. Our guide was fun & knowledgable about the area. Will book another tour with them!

We went on the eco tour Christmas Eve and had a lot of fun. The guide was expert at guiding us around a rain cell and around the bays and rivers, showing us a number of things. The boys are a blast so take this your if you can.

Josh took my sister and I out this week and we had a total blast and learned a lot about 10,000 Islands. It was our first time driving one of these cool little boats and Josh was very patient and matched our speed keeping a close eye on us the whole time. It's was perfect because we had our own little vessel with dry storage and cooler and had a walkie-talkie hanging within eyeshot so we could hear Josh's instructions and commentary as we passed anything of interest. We had the best dolphin encounters because the boat is so low and close to the water's surface unlike any of those we've had on other boats. We have a place in Marco so we've had countless boating experiences in the area but this was one of the best! We also got to hang out on our own private island and swim. Take this tour and if you're lucky, you'll have Josh leading your excursion.

Wildlife and Habitat

The rich estuarine, mangrove, and marsh habitats of Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge attract hundreds of species of wildlife.

More than 200 bird species are known to use Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge. Migratory birds use the Refuge as resting and feeding grounds. Mangrove islands that are a key characteristic of the area also protect birds during storms.

Nearly 200 fish species have been documented in the waters of Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge. Estuaries and back bays of the mangrove forest serve as important nursery grounds for many fish species, including listed species like the goliath grouper. Sport fish are also common throughout the Refuge and offer an exciting past time to many visiting and local anglers.

The Florida manatee and bottle-nosed dolphins are the most commonly encountered marine mammals in Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge. Mammals such as raccoons, bobcats, river otters, bobcats, Florida black bears, and the Florida panther may be spotted on mangrove islands and the mainland areas of the Refuge.

Frequently found year-round in the sub-tropical climate of Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge, reptile species here include loggerhead sea turtles, green sea turtles, diamond back terrapins, gopher tortoises, Florida box turtles, South Florida kingsnake, eastern hognose snake, American Alligators, the occasional American crocodile, and many more.

The Calusa Spirit offers a relaxing and fun tour for all ages! This comfortable 45 ft. powered catamaran departs directly from Marco Island.

The Calusa Spirit offers a relaxing and fun tour for all ages! This comfortable 45 ft. powered catamaran departs directly from the Marco Island beachfront and glides smoothly across the Gulf, around the tip of Cape Romano and into the 10,000 Islands at the edge of the Everglades.

You’ll see abundant tropical wildlife such as dolphin, manatee, bald eagles, fish and shore birds. Our onboard naturalist will answer questions about the unique history and ecosystem of Southwest Florida. Upon arrival at an uninhabited island, guests can explore the secluded beach in search of seashell treasures before continuing on with their adventure!

• Although the boat is 2/3 shaded, it is highly recommended to bring sun protection such as sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, etc.
• Beach appropriate shoes are recommended for walking around the island and shelling.

Experience a private and complete tour of the 10,000 islands, from deserted beaches covered with shells, to mangrove forests and wild dolphins. customizable depending on your interests. , the 2.5 hour trip is the perfect trip for families with children, with longer trips available for those interested..

While experiencing the biggest mangrove forest in the United States, guests can expect remote islands littered with shells, wild dolphins swimming by the boat, and learn all about the ecosystem and history of the area.

What’s included:, bottled water, cooler filled with ice, buckets and bags for your shells, entry/admission – ten thousand islands  national wildlife refuge, (up to 6 guests), from our adventures.
