• There’s no terrain we can’t cross! Large tires allow the swamp buggy to travel over mud and marsh as well as dry land, providing a vantage point that an airboat cannot reach. 
• Swamp buggies offer elevated seating. A swamp buggy sits 12 feet above the ground, meaning you’ll be able to view everything South Florida has to offer from a safe and comfortable distance. The extra elevation is great for helping our younger visitors feel safer while they experience raw Florida.

This is our second time using Peace River Charters. Both experiences were wonderful! We did a swamp buggy tour and airboat tour. Our reservation was first thing in the morning- a perfect way to start the day!

The airboat ride was awesome had a great time with Captain Butch check in was super easy. You can bring drinks on the boat. Not sure if that's really advertised. There are some there you can purchase. My only negative to the place is the bathrooms for what you spend would have been nice to have a cleaner bathroom for both men and women.

Great place! Had a great time seeing all of the wildlife. Highly recommend getting some feed for the gators on the property!

Never Have I *Ever* seen so many alligators! What a fun trip! When our family visits it's always fun to do something "typically Florida!" We have gone on 3 different (and excellent) Airboat tours: 2 in the Myakka area and 1 along the east coast of Florida. Peace River Charters was the best yet as Captain Butch knew just where to go - and we had plenty of fun when he did the "Tokyo drift" along the river! Who knew alligators laid along tree limbs above the water? Who knew there was a temperature range in which alligators rest to digest their meals? And after the tour - where else could one safely hold young alligators? AND a gift shop with all things alligator! Peace River Charters isn't only Airboats - but also has super-tall buggy ridesi and playground equipment for young'uns to enjoy while waiting their tours

Bucket List!! check! We stepped outside the comfort zone. Mom and Dad 81 and a half, my older brother and sister in law and my 8 year old son. Easy drive from Venice. The staff at check in were wonderful, Captain Rick was outstanding. Getting us all and off the boat was stressful, Captain Rick was on it, stairs and all. The only thing I could think of to improve. just get some regular port-a-potties. They don't need to be cleaned, and there are no scary steps. Can't wait to do the shark tooth tour!

Visiting Florida, friends took us to Peace River Airboat Tours. Had a wonderful day, saw some gators , had a great ride with Captain Chris! Small animal area you can see up close . Please be aware they are renovating for an even better experience. Go it was great!!

Very pleasant staff, well organized operation, tours prompt and on time with no delays. Boats very safe and swamp buggy ride also a great pleasure to partake in.

Took our family on the airboat and monster truck buggy ride. Both were very enjoyable. Very nice staff. Tell they love their jobs. Hour on the river. Saw over 25 gators. Stopped and let us collect shark teeth. Kids loved this. The buggy ride was fun. They got to hold a baby gator at end of the events too. Overall definitely worth it. They are still recovering from the hurricane Ian. Go support them.

Staff was all amazing we had a party of 5 all had a wonderful time I had my 7 year old grandson who had many questions and Ashton was very patient and fun!!

Air boat and swamp buggy tour

Air boat ride was fun and beautiful scenery. Unfortunately we didn't see any gators, that's wildlife for you. Our guide was very friendly, informative and even stopped to take pictures of us on the boat. The swamp buggy ride was the best!!! Our guide Captain Redneck (name he gave himself) was so funny, told great stories, had us laughing the entire time. Driving thru the mud and splashing the muddy water was so much fun. He even offered to let my daughter drive the swamp buggy thru the mud and water. Highly recommend.

Our group of 5, ranging in age from 8 to 70+ years, greatly enjoyed our air boat tour today on the Peace River. The river was exceptionally scenic today due to the flooding over the normal banks... although that somewhat reduced our wildlife viewing. Captain Colton was very professional and knowledgeable, and educated us on the ecosystem of the area and on the mechanics of the air boat. We enjoyed his easy-going attitude! A highlight was when he spotted a young fawn struggling in the river and unable to climb a steep bank- and he immediately turned back to assist as it finally made its way to safety. Peace River Charters was very accommodating of our schedule and provided quick and efficient service. We will come back again with future out of town visitors for the air boat tour- and to try the swamp buggy ride too!

My family wanted to try an airboat ride. My mother in law and I were very nervous. I was worried about my twin 5year old boys. Turns out We had nothing to worry about. It was an AMAZING experience. We all really enjoyed it. We were even able to get my picky eaters to try the gator bites and they loved them. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

We have done a number of airboat rides in the Everglades. This is a little different. Our pilot/ guide did a great job showing us the wildlife in the area. A very talkative guide that seemed to enjoy his job. Although a bit remote, it was well worth the adventure.

My husband and I came here on 4-26-16. The people are really nice and very accommodating. Prices were like $40 each. This was our first air boating experience and it was fun. The only thing we weren't real thrilled with was the stopping on the land twice during the ride and talking for about 20 minutes of the tour. We thought the guide was really nice but we went for the RIDE not the conversation..Again, Im not trying to be mean. We just wanted more action and time on the water.

We've done other Florida nature tours - but the airboat ride itself added a whole different level of fun and intensity. We still had ample nature viewing time and Paul our guide was informative towards the fishing available. The river itself was beautiful and varied at different turns. Paul was able to take us into cubbies of the river that at first seemed inaccessible - but in we went and these areas were the best for nature views - plenty of reptilian little monsters

Owner Captain Zac Varner is a licensed USCG captain and native Floridian with over 15 years’ experience. He and his knowledgeable captains and crew will share the history of the Peace River and local native Florida wildlife.

Each airboat tours last approximately 45-minutes. Peace River Airboats can accommodate 4 or 6-persons per boat. Groups of 17 or more receive a special discounted price. Group and private airboat tours and charters are also available.

Swamp Buggy Rides

A swamp buggy is the ultimate off-road vehicle to experience Southwest Florida’s natural landscape because they are outfitted with oversized tires and an elevated platform offering riders a rare 12-foot vantage point. These off-road vehicles allow safe access to uneven terrain, thick mud, shallow water passages, and dense brush.
