Latin Powerhouses Wisin & Yandel Announce Their Final Tour – La Ultima Misión 

TOUR KICKS OFF SEPT 30TH WITH 26 ARENA SHOWS ACROSS THE U.S.

Latin music’s most iconic duo, Wisin & Yandel, have announced that they will embark on one final epic tour to celebrate the upcoming release of their newest album and 19 years as a duo, making these shows the last time fans can see them on stage together. Produced by Live Nation, the 26-city tour kicks off on September 30 at Miami’s FTX Arena making stops across the U.S. in Atlanta, New York, Houston and more before wrapping up in their home island of Puerto Rico at the Coliseo de PR Jose Miguel Agrelot on December 2. 

Today during the duo’s tour press conference, Sony Music Latin presented Wisin & Yandel with the following RIAA Certifications for their previous studio album Los Campeones Del Pueblo | “THE BIG LEAGUES “: Los Campeones Del Pueblo | “The Big Leagues” – 5X Multi-Platinum, ” Reggaetón En Lo Oscuro” – 6X Multi-Platinum, “Chica Bombastic” – Gold, Platinum and 2x Multi-Platinum, “Dame Algo” – Gold, Platinum and 3x Multi-Platinum, “Callao”– Gold, Platinum and 3x Multi-Platinum; “Aullando” – Gold, Platinum & 22x Multi-Platinum, “Ganas De Ti” – Gold, Platinum & 2x Multi-Platinum, “Guaya”– Gold & Platinum, “La Luz” – Gold and Platinum, “Ojalá” – Gold & Platinum, “Deseo ” – Gold and “Mi Intención” – Gold.

Wisin & Yandel recently released the second single “ No Se Olvida ” from their upcoming album La Última Misión and will be honored with the “President’s Award” from BMI on March 15, 2022.

Wisin & Yandel Announce ‘La Ultima Misión,’ Their Final Tour as a Duo

The Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel have been making music since the Nineties, and their lengthy catalogue includes some of the genre’s biggest hits, including “Rakata,” “Sexy Movimiento,” and “Pam Pam.” After about two decades together, the artists announced on Monday that they’ll be launching La Ultima Misión , their final tour as a duo to coincide with an upcoming album.

The tour, produced by Live Nation , marks the last time fans will be able to see them onstage together. It’ll take them across 26 cities, starting Sept. 30 at Miami’s FTX Arena, and will include performances in Atlanta, New York, and Houston among other stops. The tour will wrap on Dec. 2 at Puerto Rico’s historic venue Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, one of the most famed arenas for Latin music acts.

At a press conference on Monday, Sony Music Latin also presented Wisin & Yandel with RIAA Certifications for their previous studio album Los Campeones Del Pueblo “The Big Leagues,”  which came out in 2018. The Certifications include “Reggaetón En Lo Oscuro,” which went five-times-multi-platinum; “Chica Bombastic,” which went six-times-multi-platinum; and “Ganas De Ti,” which went gold, platinum, and 22-times multi-platinum.

Wisin & Yandel’s career includes a Grammy award for their 2009 album La Revolución , and two Latin Grammys for “Best Urban Song” for “ Abusadora” and “Best Urban Music Album” for Los Extraterrestres . Both artists have found success pursuing solo work in the past.

Latin music’s most iconic duo, Wisin & Yandel, have announced that they will embark on one final epic tour to celebrate the upcoming release of their newest album and 19 years as a duo, making these shows the last time fans can see them on stage together. Produced by Live Nation, the 26-city tour kicks off on September 30th at Miami’s FTX Arena making stops across the U.S. in Atlanta, New York, Houston and more before wrapping up in their home island of Puerto Rico at the Coliseo de PR Jose Miguel Agrelot on December 2nd. Wisin & Yandel recently released the second single “No Se Olvida” from their upcoming album La Última Misión and will be honored with the “President’s Award” from BMI on March 15, 2022.

Our favorite ‘duo de la historia’ has announced “La ultima mission Tour” which would mark Wisin y Yandel’s last tour together–at least for now.

Presented by Live nation “La ultima mission” Tour will make stops in 26 confirmed cities across the nation. El duo is set to Kick off their tour in Miami on September and will make stops in major cities such as Las Vegas, NY,Texas, Montreal and will close their tour at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in December.

Tickets for “La Ultima Mision” go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, March 18 via  ticketmaster.com  and  livenation.com . Pre-sale tickets will be available from March 15 to 17 for Citi cardmembers via  www.citientertainment.com . See full dates and venues below.

Wisin Y Yandel Announce Final Tour as Duo – LA ULTIMA MISIÓN 

Wisin Y Yandel have announced LA ULTIMA MISIÓN – their final tour dates as a duo, taking place in 2022. The final tour will celebrate the duo’s newest album (of the same name) and 19 years together.

Tickets for Wison Y Yandel La Última Misión tour dates are on sale this week. General public tickets are on sale beginning Friday, March 18. Prior to that, presales will be available throughout the week, beginning on Tuesday with a presale open to Citi cardmembers.

Tour dates begin for Wison Y Yandel La Última Misión on September 30 at FTX Arena in Miami, Florida, and continue through a December 2 closing show at Coliseo de PR Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, PR. Along the way, the tour will hit stops including Madison Square Garden (New York), Agganis Arena (Boston), AT&T Center (San Antonio), MGM Grand Garden Arena (Las Vegas), and Crypto.com Arena (Los Angeles).

Wisin y Yandel Announce Final Album & Tour After Almost Two Decades Together

One of the most distinguished Puerto Rican reggaeton duos , Wisin & Yandel, are giving their fans the last call. The duo has just announced their final album and tour entitled “La Ultima Mision,” which aims to be a celebration of all their hits and a way to monumentalize their 20th anniversary.

As part of this last album, Wisin & Yandel have already released their second single, “ No Se Olvida ,” which follows last year’s “ Recordar .” When this track dropped, both media and fans speculated about it being the duo’s last project together… And they were right.

“We can’t predict the future but we’re very responsible for the brand and that’s what we want to do in this tour. We want our fans to remember the 2000s hits. More than a goodbye, it’s trajectory,” Wisin said in a press conference about the announcement, according to Billboard .

As mentioned, in parallel to their last album, the 26-date arena show tour is set to start on Sept. 30 in Miami. The tour then makes its way through the U.S., including stops in New York, Texas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, leading to their last finale in the Coliseo de PR Jose Miguel Agrelot on Dec. 2. We can only expect an epic final concert at the duo’s home country Puerto Rico. What other way to end their almost two-decade musical trajectory?

During these 19 years of creating music together, Wisin y Yandel continuously released emblematic and catchy hits such as “ Rakata ,” “ Sexy Movimiento ,” and “ Me Estas Tentando ,” which kept them on repeat on everyone’s playlists. Now, the duo have one last mission to do: release a highly-anticipated last project together. And with it, also give their fans a last tour to commemorate their milestones. As a duo, they’ve received an abundance of prestigious recognitions, including a Grammy award and two Latin Grammy awards. 

Additionally, just yesterday (March 15), they received BMI’s “President’s Award,” an award to honor their status as pioneers in el movimiento and their contributions to the Latine music community. 

Although this isn’t the first time Wisin y Yandel go on a hiatus (they were separated and created their own legacies between 2013 to 2018 ), it seems that this time around they’re being definite about it — or at least for now. Could it be that this is the final chapter of their reggaeton era?

In any case, Twitter users are already anticipating the duo’s tour, preparing for it to start.

With their triumphant performance Saturday night (Oct. 8) in New York City, Wisin & Yandel displayed their formidable trajectory. Although they became reggaeton fixtures over two decades ago — including in the Big Apple, with performances in iconic clubs like Club Exit and Copacabana for the Latin American diaspora — their Madison Square Garden gig showcased their undisputed stature as legends of the genre.

Their Apocalyptic Style Is Reinforced With Riveting Pyrotechnic Effects 

Wisin & Yandel arrived on stage dressed in Mad Max -esque combative gear, with Wisin in all black, and Yandel in off-white combative attire. There were the pyrotechnic effects in full force to boot, blazing between the fans and performers, and against a Jumbotron that showed a collage of dystopian, Fast & Furious -type visuals with plenty of explosions. A costume change later, the Puerto Rican duo fired up in a shiny, fire-engine red get-up as they continued to captivate fans for nearly two hours. 

Latin Pride Is on Full Display

Nostalgia Is a Significant Factor 

Although fresh off releasing a brand-new album, their MSG set was packed with classic bangers. Opening with 2007’s combustible “Ahora Es,” their explosive energy inspired a gigantic throwdown, with concert-goers dancing all around. Whether standing on their seats, thrusting with their beas or moving towards the stair aisles for more space to gyrate, one couldn’t help but burst out with lots of motion, especially when one recalls the yesteryears. The pair spanned through their hits since their chart-topping 2000 album, Los Reyes del Nuevo Milenio , and when they nearly wrapped up with their penultimate number “Rakatá,” all hell broke loose. 

“You don’t know how many things are going through my mind right now,” said Wisin in Spanish. “I want to thank all of you for so many years of love and affection. There are many people here who have been fans of Wisin & Yandel for more than 20 years.”

New songs from La Última Misión were received with lots of excitement, especially since it marks the revered group’s legendary run as a formidable act of reggaeton. They’ve continued to churn out massive hits — like their recent single “Besos Moja2,” featuring Rosalía, which was highly praised. Because they killed it on stage and performed loads of worthy chart-toppers, and because Wisin & Yandel as a team will come to an end, this is why La Última Misión Tour is one not to miss.

Inside Wisin y Yandel’s Farewell Tour: ‘We Haven’t Said When It’s Going to Finish’

Capping off a career that spans over 20 years, Puerto Rico’s reggaetón heroes Wisin y Yandel have embarked on their final tour as a duo: La Última Misión (The Ultimate Mission) . Presented by Live Nation, the trek will visit over 20 U.S. cities, culminating in a historic 14-day residency at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot.

Come 2023, the goal is to expand to other regions as well. “Since this will be our last run together, we want to visit fans in every corner of the world,” says Wisin. Though the members announced their retirement in early 2022, the legendary pair plans to release a final album this fall and a documentary detailing their life stories. “It’s the last mission,” adds Yandel, “but we haven’t said when it’s going to finish.”

Yandel says the biggest lesson the duo has learned is that its hard work hasn’t been taken for granted: The last time the pair played Puerto Rico’s famed coliseum (eight dates in 2018), it became, and still remains, the venue’s top-attended engagement. “Now we’re seeing the results in a very beautiful way with our fans,” he says, adding how genuine the support feels because there isn’t new music out yet. “This tour is giving us something that we’ve never felt before.”

The Último Advice

When thinking of words of wisdom to share with emerging artists, Wisin stresses two things: “New talents have to understand that things will turn out bad on many occasions [and] that it takes time.” He believes in being prepared and also leaning on those around you. “It’s teamwork, it’s discipline, and it’s not from one day to the next. Sometimes things will come out incredible and other times not. That’s the business.”

The Último Residency

Performing a two-week residency at the coliseum is about “more than a concert and breaking a record,” says Wisin. “It’s about performing in your hometown for your people. It’s about seeing a united town enjoying live music. These 14 shows will become a Latin party, and for me, it’s very important that it be in my hometown.”
