Book a Tour

Reservations are recommended .

The Capitol Visitor Center is open Monday-Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tours begin every 10 minutes until 3:20 p.m. All tours are led by our professional tour guides and visit the  Crypt , the  Rotunda  and  National Statuary Hall . The tour does not include the  Senate and House Galleries . The tour route is subject to change.

Reservations are recommended, but not required. Visit the  schedule a tour  page to select a day/time for a reservation. Same day passes may be available. Visitors without reservations are encouraged to arrive at the Capitol Visitor Center as early in the day as possible, but no later than 2:30 p.m., to obtain passes.

All tours, programs and activities are free of charge.

Visitors enter through the Capitol Visitor Center, located underground on the east side of the Capitol. Please leave time to go through security and review the U.S. Capitol’s  prohibited items list  before your visit.

You can begin your Capitol experience at the Visitor Center by visiting Exhibition Hall , perusing our Gift Shops or getting a bite to eat at the Capitol Cafe.

How Do I Cancel My Reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through your account in the Capitol Visitor Center’s online reservation system.

Go to  https://tours.visitthecapitol.gov  (A new page will open.)

Beneath the blue banner reading “Reserve a Tour of the Capitol,” click on the link to log in. (A sign in/signup dialog box will open.)

In the sign in section, log in with your email address and password.

Search for reservations by clicking “More” in the “My Reservations” tab.

Once you have located your reservation, click the link to “Cancel.”

• This is a public tour which may or may not combine smaller groups, depending on demand and availability. A private tour is available for up to 7 passengers.

Walking is involved to get an up-close look at the monuments; comfortable shoes are recommended.

Strollers can be accommodated.

This is a 2 hour tour.

There will be plenty of opportunities to get off and take a closer look and take pictures.

This is a must do for anyone in DC. Comfortable, open air (not a crowded enclosed bus). We saw so many great monuments and got to get out, wander, take pictures. Roy was so friendly and knowledgeable. I'd do again.

This tour was private for our group. Our tour guide, Andy, was knowledgeable, patient, and amazing. We really enjoyed this tour that hit all the spots that were on our list! Don't miss this tour! Worth every dollar.

Great way to see the sights in DC! Awesome small company! They really work with you and stay in communication. Our original date and time the weather was raining. The owner Mike was so kind to reschedule our tour for a different day with better weather. Highly recommend if you have kids or are short on time because it's a quick way to see all the sights and learn some history in only about 2 hours. Great addition to any DC vacation! Definitely book!

We had an incredible time on this tour with our two boys (ages 4 and 9). Andy was an exceptional guide providing lots of great historical information as he drove us safely around D.C. to all the monuments. I'd give him ten stars out of five he was that good.

I'm glad I decided to go with this tour company. My party of three was able to set up a tour last minute. Our tour guide Andy, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and overall a good vibe. We were able to get close and take pictures. There is some (not a lot) of walking, and you cover a lot. We learned a lot if interesting things from Andy.

The tour was fantastic - in two hours, we saw at least 20 buildings and monuments while getting out to explore four sites of our choosing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind

We did the night tour of the monument on our last night in Washington DC and let me tell you, this is is the way everyone should sightsee :) The electric cart tour is an excellent way to see the monument and night life, Adam is such an excellent guide he knows all the history of the places and it was so relaxing driving around town in the electric cart. Hands down this is the best city tour I have had, if you are looking for guided tour in DC don't hesitate this one is super awesome !

This was the best idea ever!! We were picked up and given a very personal tour of EVERYTHING we wanted to see... we highly recommend this tour company, even with a few sprinkles we were given rain ponchos and kept dry. Our driver was the nicest guy, so friendly and knowledgeable, he made our trip to Washington D.C. memorable and we couldn't be happier. Adam was awesome

We loved our evening DC tour. The owner/driver was very knowledgeable, fun, likable, and considerate. It was a little hard to hear him at times in the middle seats and almost impossible in the back seats. Would recommend he use a mic.
