Suffered with an ingrowing toe nail & psoriasis for months.. getting fobbed off by doctors with multiple antibiotics courses and a month wait for someone to even see me. It got me to the point I could barely walk on it. I got advised to call Catherine and straight away the care and compassion I received in a phone call was astounding. She got me booked in straight away and made me feel like someone could actually help with this. Whilst in the clinic she made sure to explain what was going to happen and my options of the process. She was incredibly patient and asked if I could keep her up to date with the progress of the toe once finished. Catherine clearly cares about the people she deals with and I wish I had known sooner I could just call someone like herself to do this. Advice - if you’re not getting anyway with the doctors, there is something that can be done. The prices are really reasonable and completely worth the relief I will have once healed. I would go nowhere else but Catherine. Thank you Catherine.
I visited Catherine last year to have some hard skin removed under my foot which was causing a lot of discomfort and she did a great job, so much so I haven't had any problems with my foot since. Catherine is very friendly and she put me at ease straight away a very professional service and I would highly recommend her, also her prices are very reasonable. I would definitely go back again if the need arises.
Very impressed with the service and care provided to my dad from Katherine. As he suffers from dementia and poor mobility, Katherine provides a home visit. Her care and friendliness is very professional at all times :) thankyou.

Absolutely amazing, the nurse was so considerate of my pain threshold and was constantly reassuring me and sorted the issue and explained that if the issue returns to go back. I had never been to a foot clinic before and was very nervous but she kept me calm and was lovely in general. Thank you so much

ONE LIFE THERAPY CLINIC REVIEWS

Took my grandson for an ingrown toenail. It was clean, smart and surprisingly welcoming. She was fantastic. Kind, professional and bang on trend. She spoke to him just like you would a 14 year old. He listened, learned and liked her!! She did a super job, explaining everything as she went along. I cannot recommend her enough. Very satisfied customer.

Jerome & Associates

Jerome & Associates are Podiatrists and Chiropodists based in Bispham, near Blackpool, and we have been proudly serving the Fylde community - and further afield - for 12 years. We even have few of our patients who travel from places such as Italy, Spain!

About Donna Jerome

Donna Jerome trained at Salford University and worked first in Lytham before setting up her own clinic. Donna has a keen interest in dermatology, and attends conferences and training seminars throughout each year in order to keep abreast of recent trends. She is a member of several dermatology bodies including the prestigious British Dermatalogical Nursing Group.

It is our aim to make your feet the best they can possibly be, so if you need a treat for your feet get in touch for your appointment.

What is the difference between chiropody and podiatry?

Nothing at all! They are really the same thing. Traditionally, if you had issues with your feet, you would have looked for a Chiropodist. However, since 1993, the internationally recognised name for a foot specialist is Podiatrist. In some countries, a Podiatrist may offer slightly different services, but here in the UK there is no real difference.

We are healthcare professionals, trained to diagnose and treat abnormal conditions of the feet and lower limbs, helping to prevent and correct deformities, keep people mobile and active, relieve pain and treat infections, as well as advising on the right type of foot care and footwear for your lifestyle and issues.

What can a podiatrist help with?

Toenail problems, such as thickened toenails, fungal nail infections or ingrown toenails, corns and calluses, verrucas, athlete's foot, foot odour, dry and cracked heels, flat feet, bunions, heel pain, ageing feet, blisters, gout, sports injuries and a whole host of other foot and toe issues.

Woman having her feet treated

  • Please enter a valid postcode

It’s essential that we all take good care of our feet in later life. It lowers our risk of having a fall and reduces our risk of infection, as well as relieving pain. Age UK’s foot care services help older people who are unable to look after their feet.

Basic foot care services

Over 80 local Age UKs have trained workers who will provide a basic level of foot care, such as toenail cutting, and can offer general guidance on how to take the best care of your feet.

Podiatry services

In areas with a qualified podiatrist, Age UK can offer a more enhanced service such as treating verrucas, athlete’s foot and bunions. If this service is unavailable, they may be able to signpost you to an NHS podiatrist.

This service can be accessed in a number of places:

  • At an Age UK foot care clinic
  • At home, if you are housebound
  • At one of our day centres

Contact your local Age UK to book an appointment and to find out more about what care it provides. There may be a charge for the service depending on where you live.

Exceptions from using our foot care service

Please note that you may not be eligible to access these services or may require a more specialised service if you have diabetes or are taking certain medications such as warfarin.

Check with your local Age UK if you are unsure if you are eligible.
