La Tour Part-Dieu est un gratte-ciel situé dans le quartier du même nom à Lyon. Ce grand édifice accueille essentiellement des bureaux et est souvent surnommé le ''Crayon'' à cause de sa forme cylindrique et de son sommet en pyramide qui rappellent celle d'un crayon. La nuit le sommet de la Tour est illuminée en orange. Un hôtel qui est d'ailleurs le plus élevé d'Europe se situe aux 7 derniers étages de la Tour, il dispose d'un restaurant avec une vue panoramique au 32ème étage. La construction a été confiée au cabinet américain Araldo Cossutta & Associates et a débuté en 1972 pour s'achever en 1977. La tour appartenait auparavant au Crédit Lyonnais, elle a été renommée en 2008. De 1977 à 1987, l'édifice c'est révélé être une erreur sur le plan économique et fut un frein au développement du quartier de la Part-Dieu. L'un des très rares gratte-ciel de Lyon, les architectes souhaitaient que le haut de la tour se situe à la même hauteur que la Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière .

La Tour Part Dieu, La Tour le Crayon à Lyon

La Tour Part Dieu , dite aussi Tour LCL (car anciennement Tour du Crédit Lyonnais) ou Tour Le Crayon à Lyon est une tour d’immeuble emblématique de la ville de Lyon. C’est l’un des grattes ciel de Lyon, située dans la quartier de Part Dieu (3e arrondissement de Lyon). Elle a été inaugurée en 1977 après 5 ans de travaux. C’est une structure cylindrique couverte de béton et pierre de couleur rose. Elle s’élève sur 42 étages. Sa toiture est pyramidale. Elle est aussi élevé que le plateau de Fourvière. Elle est l’œuvre du cabinet américain Araldo Cossutta & Associates. Elle fait 165 mètres de haut. La Tour Part Dieu a été la plus haute tour de Lyon pendant très longtemps, avant que la Tour Incity (janvier 2015) l’a dépasse avec ses 200 mètres. Cela reste le 2e plus haut monument de Lyon. Son sommet se situe à la hauteur de la Basilique de Fourvière selon les vœux de son créateur. Son surnom de Tour Crayon provient de sa forme qui rappelle très bien un crayon. Le haut de la tour est occupé par l’Hôtel Radisson Blu. Il y a aussi un restaurant tout en haut de la Tour Part Dieu. On l’appelle Tour La Part Dieu depuis 2008. En dehors de l’Hôtel Radisson qui occupe les 7 derniers étages, il y a des bureaux.

Située dans le 3e arrondissement de Lyon, la tour crayon est un véritable emblème de la ville. Elle abrite les locaux d'une célèbre banque ainsi que l'hôtel le plus haut d'Europe et un restaurant panoramique et gastronomique  qui s'appelle le Celest . C'est l'un des bâtiments les plus célèbres de la ville de Lyon. Histoire de la tour crayon à lyon.

La tour crayon ou tour LCL (Le Crédit lyonnais) est une tour située à Part-Dieu, à Lyon. Encore appelé tour Part-Dieu à cause du nom du quartier qui l'abrite, ce bâtiment était le plus haut de Lyon avant d'être détrôné par la tour Incity plusieurs années plus tard.

La construction de la tour crayon débute en 1972 sur l'initiative de plusieurs groupes financiers, y compris le Crédit lyonnais dont l'enseigne est, jusqu'aujourd'hui, apposée au sommet du bâtiment. Les travaux seront alors confiés au cabinet américain Araldo Cossutta & Associates qui livrera le gratte-ciel environ 5 ans plus tard, soit en 1977. En plus d'être le plus haut gratte-ciel de Lyon à sa livraison en 1977, la tour Part-Dieu était aussi le 4e plus haut bâtiment de toute la France à cette époque. Elle est actuellement 17e d'après ce classement wikipedia daté de fin 2022.

La forme de crayon que l'architecte Araldo Cossutta a donné au bâtiment serait un clin d'œil au Crédit lyonnais, une banque fondée au XIX siècle pour les Soyeux. Dans le temps, les comptes étaient tenus au « crayon papier » par le fondateur de la banque. La forme du gratte-ciel pourrait donc être un hommage à ce dernier.

La tour crayon : un emblème de Lyon

La tour crayon fait partie intégrante de l'identité de Lyon. Il sert de repère visuel tout comme la basilique de Fourvière. Avec ses 164 m de haut (comme l'atteste la photo ci-dessous) et non pas 165 m de haut comme indiqué de partout sur le web ou dans la littérature , la tour LCL s'élève à la hauteur de l'esplanade de la basilique. 41 étages constituent ce somptueux bâtiment qui fait une surface totale de 78 202 m², dont 37 000 m² pour les bureaux. Le gratte-ciel fait 44 m de diamètre . L'ensemble de l'édifice repose sur un noyau central en béton armé et sur 71 poteaux. Sa façade est réalisée en béton ajouré.

La tour crayon est équipée de 19 ascenseurs répartis comme suit :

• 10 ascenseurs pour les bureaux du rez-de-chaussée au 31e étage,
• 2 ascenseurs à grande vitesse (4 m/s) du rez-de-chaussée vers le 32e étage,
• 2 ascenseurs de services pour desservir l'hôtel ainsi que le rez-de-chaussée et les sous-sols,
• 1 ascenseur pour les bureaux.

Si la tour Part-Dieu est appelée tour crayon, c'est à cause de sa forme cylindrique et de son chapeau en forme de pyramide .

La pyramide en verre présente sur le toit est une merveille architecturale. Mesurant 23 m de haut, elle permet à la lumière naturelle de pénétrer au centre de la tour Part-Dieu vide en son cœur. Cela fait penser à un véritable crayon avec la mine au milieu.

Comment accéder à la tour crayon ?

Pour se rendre à la tour Crayon ( 129 rue Servient, 69003 Lyon ), il est possible d'emprunter les transports communs. Parmi les transports dont les itinéraires passent près du gratte-ciel, on peut citer le métro B et les trams K100 et T1. Les lignes de bus 25, C13, C25, C3, C6, C7 et C9 permettent aussi d'accéder au bâtiment.

Le sommet de la tour crayon est occupé par l'un des hôtels les plus hauts d'Europe dont l'accueil démarre au 32e étage (accessible par les deux ascenseurs à grande vitesse). L' hôtel Radisson Blu est un complexe de renom qui offre une prestation de qualité aux clients. De nombreux touristes y logent lors de leur séjour à Lyon pour profiter de la vue imprenable qu'ils ont sur la ville depuis cette hauteur.

La Tour de la Part-Dieu

Construite pour servir de repère visuel au même titre que la basilique de Fourvière, elle mesure 165m de haut, soit la hauteur de l'esplanade de la Basilique. Elle est composée de 41 étages pour une surface de 37 000m² et un diamètre de 44m. La pyramide qui lui a valu son surnom du "Crayon" est haute de 23m. Elle repose sur un noyau central en béton armé (à l'intérieur duquel se trouvent les ascenseurs) et sur 71 poteaux répartis à la périphérie. Sa façade est en béton ajouré. Il s'agit principalement d'un immeuble de bureaux mais les 7 derniers étages sont occupés par l'hôtel-restaurant Radisson Blu. Le bar de l'hôtel situé au 32ème étage de la tour est le seul moyen de profiter du panorama offert par cette tour. Il s'agit de l'un des plus hauts hôtels de France. La tour de la Part Dieu est la 13ème tour la plus haute de France, et la première de ce classement à ne pas être située en région parisienne.

Tour Part-Dieu

The Tour Part-Dieu is a skyscraper in Lyon, France. The building is 164.9 metres tall, in La Part-Dieu district, with 42 floors. The building was completed in 1977. It currently stands as the thirteenth-tallest building in France. The top 10 floors are occupied by Radisson Blu Hotel Lyon, the highest hotel in Europe. The other floors are offices. It is a work of the American firm Araldo Cossutta & Associates and the construction occurred between 1972 and 1977. According to the wishes of the architect, the roof of this tower is roughly the same height as Notre Dame de Fourviere. At the opening in 1977, it was the 4th tallest building in France. The tower has a cylindrical shape. It is topped by a 23-metre high pyramid.
