What to Expect

Depart from Downtown

The tour begins at the Bobby’s Bike Hike headquarters in Streeterville, where you’ll meet your fun-loving and enthusiastic guide and your ready-to-ride Bobby’s bicycle! Offered at various times, both day and night, this tour can be the perfect morning ride, afternoon, or evening sensation.

The journey kicks off with a beautiful lakefront ride past Navy Pier, over the Chicago River and Riverwalk. With a stunning skyline backdrop, your guide will introduce you to the city and its rich history before leading the group down to the various museums along the Lakefront.

The group will head south to Museum Campus, the one-of-a-kind park built to house the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, and Adler Planetarium. You’ll see these unbelievable feats of architecture up close and personal, before biking over for a peek at mythical Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears.

Depending on whether or not there is an event taking place in the park, the tour will enter Northerly Island next. The “island” is actually a peninsula, opened to the public as a nature preserve in 2015. Somehow, Northerly Island manages to pair amazing skyline views with the total serenity of nature.

12th Street Beach and Millennium Park

After that, your crew will get a peek at 12th Street Beach, one of Chicago’s numerous sandy swim spots, before stopping for the best skyline view in all of Chicago. Here, you’ll see why our Ultimate Chicago city bike tour is our most-heavily Instagrammed tour!

We then ride through the park over to Millennium Park, home to some of Chicago’s most iconic public sculptures and community spaces including Cloud Gate, better known as “The Bean,” The Crown Fountain, and the Frank Gehry-designed Pritzker Pavilion.

Millennium Park comprises the northwest corner of larger Grant Park, home of Chicago’s biggest food, music, and culture festivals. Your guide will lead you right up the dancing waters of Buckingham Fountain, which was the largest fountain in the world at the time of its construction.

Bike the City Paths through Downtown

From Millennium Park, we’ll hit the safety of Chicago’s network of protected bike lanes that are free of cars, but allow us to cruise right through the middle of downtown safely. We’ll ride past the famous Chicago Theatre, Marina City Towers (the corn cob buildings), the Hubbard Street and Rush Street entertainment districts, before making our way through the Gold Coast and over to North Avenue beach.

North Avenue beach is Chicago’s most popular beaches and allows for one last Instagrammable photo opportunity of the skyline, from a completely different viewpoint. From there, we’ll ride the Lakefront trail back to Bobby’s world headquarters.

Navy Pier and the Chicago Riverwalk

Before heading back to the shop, you’ll get a peak at the world famous Navy Pier, as well as Chicago’s latest achievement in waterfront parks, the Chicago Riverwalk. No trip to Chicago is complete without a stop at these legendary attractions.

Final Stretch along the Lakefront Trail

On the way back to Bobby’s World Headquarters, the tour will cruise the historic Lakefront Trail, enjoying views of Lake Michigan sailboats and yacht clubs along the way. You’ll be a part of Chicago’s vibrant bicycle community and learn why we are repeatedly chosen as the world’s best city for biking.

The tour concludes back at Bobby’s Bike Hike headquarters after three hours and nine miles of fun!

ABOUT GRUPO FIRME

The band was formed in Tijuana, Mexico on March 19, 2013, but has roots in Sinaloa. The members of the band are:

Eduin Caz – Vocals, Abraham Hernández – Second Voice, Joaquín Ruiz – Bajo Sexto, Jhonny Caz – Second Voice, Victor Zavala – Bass, Christian Téllez – Bass, José Rubio – Drums, Dylan Camacho – Accordion, Isael Gutiérrez – Manager. In February 2017, they  took a big step by teaming up with Mr. Isael Gutiérrez, president of the company Music VIP Entertainment Inc. By formalizing this alliance, they  took a fundamental and important turn in their career in every way. Coming from the underground corridos scene, they built that credibility with their fans, which is not easy for the public to accept. But as they evolved artistically, their audience embraced their versatile style in an incredible way. Today they have broken all sales records with sold outs all over the continent, in the USA, MX, and Central and South America. They have been able to live a dream thanks to music and to the people. They have broken all the barriers that supposedly existed in the music industry. 2023 has been a year of new horizons and a mandatory hiatus for the band, however in 2024 they are back, with all the energy and ready to conquer the biggest stages again.

Highlights Tour

A driving tour can certainly cover the absolutely iconic sites of Chicago. We’ll be happy to take some photos for memories at Millennium Park, home to visitors’ favorite sculpture affectionately known as The Bean, as well as the prestigious Art Institute of Chicago. For any architecture and engineering fans in the group, we’ll have plenty of time to take in the soaring skyline of The Loop and explore its subterranean walkways beneath the beautifully restored historic buildings among downtown’s glassy skyscrapers. The Chicago Riverwalk is a nice addition to your whirlwind tour of the city’s most significant spots, as this is where the locals recreate and enjoy the spectacular views of the city along the Chicago River.

Half-Day Tour

A half-day tour (4-6 hours) can cover a lot more ground and even give us a chance to include a fun ride on the “L”, Chicago’s rapid-transit system, to the River North neighborhood. Here, we can arrange for admission to the acclaimed Museum of Contemporary Art or – for our adrenaline seekers – an elevator ride up to the 94th floor of the 360 Chicago Observation Deck! If the view out over the city and Lake Michigan isn’t enough, opt for the TILT experience, providing downward facing views from 1,030 feet! If you want to keep your feet on the ground, we can stroll along the Magnificent Mile below. This lively area is perfect for shopping, dining, and exploring more of Chicago’s modern and historic architecture, from the second-oldest water tower in the United States to the terracotta Wrigley Building skyscraper.

Full-Day Tour

Enjoy everything our Highlights and Half-Day tours offer and more on this all-day (6-10 hours) Chicago experience! No visit to the city is complete without a stop for some deep-dish pizza or a classic hot dog, so we’ll take you to our favorite haunts to get the very best. Another must-see in the city is our magnificent Union Station, a historic neoclassical architectural wonder and busy intercity and commuter rail terminal. Speaking of transportation, we love showing off our city by water taxi – let us arrange tickets in advance so you can enjoy the sights from the Chicago River!

With our extra time, we’ll have more of an opportunity to really explore Chicago’s waterfront, visiting Navy Pier and its small amusement rides as well as the Chicago Children’s Museum.

A venture up to Old Town will allow us to enjoy a stroll through the handsome Lincoln Park. Our team can also arrange for admission to Lincoln Park Zoo or the nearby Chicago History Museum. Comedy fans will definitely want to make a pass by the venerable comedy club where many comics and actors made their mark, The Second City.  No matter your request, we can build out a tour itinerary with something for everyone in your party to enjoy!
