Dead and Company Expand Fall Tour With Newly Announced U.S. Dates
Dead & Company, the new group that matches three of the surviving “core four” members of the Grateful Dead with guitarist John Mayer, have added another batch of new dates to their upcoming tour itinerary.
Dead bandmates Bob Weir , Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann opted to keep going after the Dead’s wildly popular 50th anniversary Fare Thee Well shows earlier this summer, and rounded up a roster that includes multi-instrumentalist Oteil Burbidge as well as keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. The band's tour, previously booked as a 10-show run, begins Oct. 29 in Albany.
The existing 10 dates have been joined by an expanded series of November shows, which bring the tour total to 21 concerts. "Those songs weren’t done with us," explained Weir in a statement, praising Mayer’s involvement as “the cherry on the sundae that made this project look like a good idea” and adding, “It was a matter of who wanted to get back out on the road and keep doing it. … It’s kind of late in the year to put together a tour, but we’re gonna try."
Tickets for these dates are set to go on sale to the general public on Sept. 18 at 10AM, though American Express cardholders will be able to purchase their passes through a pre-sale that begins Sept. 16. According to a press release, "Top-tier tickets will be priced under $100, and a number of $50 tickets will be made available in most markets to honor of the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary." Check out the complete list of Dead & Company shows below.

Dead & Company was formed in 2015 when the Grateful Dead’s Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir joined forces with artist and musician John Mayer, Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge, and Fare Thee Well and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, and quickly became one of the most successful touring bands year over year. Since its formation, the band has completed seven tours and became a record-breaking stadium act when it set Wrigley Field’s all-time concert attendance for a single concert, which still holds to this day. Having toured consistently since its 2015 debut, the band has held 164 concerts, performed 143 unique songs and has played to nearly four million fans.
Dead & Company has headlined iconic stadiums across the country including Fenway Park, Citi Field, Gillette Stadium, Folsom Field, Dodger Stadium, Wrigley Field, and Autzen Stadium, as well as multiple night-stands at Madison Square Garden, the Forum, Hollywood Bowl, and Shoreline Amphitheatre. Between tours, Dead & Company hosts its annual “Playing in the Sand,” an all-inclusive concert vacation that features multiple nights of Dead & Company on an intimate beach in Mexico.
Across all tours at the band’s legendary Participation Row, the Dead & Company community has taken more than 100,000 actions in support of various local non-profits and national social impact organizations and causes including voter registration with HeadCount and environmental actions with REVERB. Since 2015, efforts on tour have eliminated the use of 100,000 single-use plastic water bottles at shows and raised funds to support climate justice and carbon reduction projects which prevented 33,700 tonnes of CO2e from entering the atmosphere, the equivalent of 83.5 million miles driven by gas-powered cars. Throughout the seven tours the total raised directly from the band as well as fan auctions and other efforts is now over $3 million, providing direct support to HeadCount, REVERB and the Dead Family non-profit organizations, as well as the non-profit ocean conservation organization Oceana and MusiCares among others.

Dead & Company Break Down Final Tour by Numbers, John Mayer Shares Comment on Band’s Future
On Sunday, July 16, Dead & Company concluded their 2023 Final Tour with three sold-out concerts at Oracle Park in San Francisco, drawing a crowd of 120,000 fans. Their final tour was the most successful in the band’s eight-year history, bringing 840,000 attendees out during the cross-country trek. To mark their triumphant finale, the group shared their record-setting numbers.
Since the band’s 2015 debut, Dead & Company has completed 10 tours and performed in front of more than 4 million fans. During the Final Tour, they ran through 112 songs, including “Drums” > “Space” and the newly formed “Dark Star on the Big River Jam.” Since the band’s inception, they have delivered 145 unique songs during their 235 show history.
Beginning with Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo., the group shared that their three-night stand sold 130,000 tickets. Dead & Company currently holds the record number of performances at the venue, with 13 shows. The previous record for most shows played at Folsom by a single artist was three, held by both the Grateful Dead and The Rolling Stones.
Pertaining to their Wrigley Field dates, Dead & Company is the all-time leader in the number of shows played at the famed ballpark, with 10 performances across five tours (2017, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023), as well as the all-time leader in overall paid attendance with 360,000 tickets sold across these shows. Additionally, they reign on top for single-show paid attendance when they set the record in 2017 with more than 40,000 tickets sold.
The band also holds the record for number of performances at Citi Field in Queens, N.Y., with 11 shows. In 2023 Dead & Company returned to Citi Field to perform for almost 74,000 fans during two sold-out concerts. The band also broke Boston’s (Fenway Park) all-time attendance record for the most tickets sold in a single night, previously held by Aerosmith.
In addition, Dead & Company also shared that its charitable initiatives since 2015 have raised more than $13 million to support nonprofits, environmental and social causes such as Parks Conservation Association, The Jerry Garcia Foundation, Heart And Armor Foundation, Gorilla Doctors, Seva.org , OXFAM, MusiCares, Surfrider Foundation, WhyHunger, iGiveTrees, Positive Legacy, Further Foundation, Conscious Alliance, Rainforest Action Network, Last Prisoner Project, HAPA, SPLC, and dozens of local and regional nonprofit groups.
Participation Row auctions, in partnership with nonpartisan and nonprofit voter registration organization HeadCount, surpassed $2,033,000 raised for charity during this year’s Final Tour. The count includes $355,000 from the Mickey Hart fine art auctions held in NYC and over the three nights at Oracle Park.
Moreover, their positive impact has resulted in 25,000 fans registering to vote. On the topic of sustainability, Dead & Company continued their work with longtime partner REVERB to reduce the tour’s environmental footprint and encourage fans to take action, resulting in 1.6+ million dedicated to greenhouse gas reductions and climate justice projects, 51,000 tonnes of CO2e neutralized and more positive change.
John Mayer summarized his time with the group, leaving room for the future, and noting: “@deadandcompany is still a band – we just don’t know what the next show will be. I speak for us all when I say that I look forward to being shown the next shaft of light… I know we will all move towards it together.” Click here to read the guitarist’s full post via Instagram.

In an announcement posted to her social channels, Carlile elaborated on the structure of these performances, expressing a desire to “try something brave.” For the first night, September 6, the artist will appear solo with the orchestra, stripping down the scenery to “[n]othing but you and me and the power of the rocks” to embrace surprises, risks and intimate storytelling. For night two, the artist will compose a trio alongside The Hanseroth Twins, casting brilliant three-part harmonies against the resonant Rockies.
Carlile’s Red Rocks dates will follow five high-profile performances, beginning with the artist’s own Mothership Weekend music festival, which will figure her alongside acts like Black Pumas, Sara Bareilles, Bonnie Raitt, Nickel Creek and more in Maramar Beach, Fla. from May 10-12. Next, Carlile will hop to the Northeast to perform at Canandaigua, N.Y.’s CMAC on June 29 and Lenox, Mass.’s Tanglewood on July 30, followed by a headline performance at Redmond, Ore.’s Fairwell Festival on July 21.
On August 30, a slated performance alongside Lukas Nelson during Jazz Aspen Snowmass’ Labor Day Weekend Experience will bring the artist to the Centennial State, priming her for the Red Rocks run shortly following. After this special orchestral staging, Carlile will take part in Joni Mitchell’s highly-anticipated Joni Jam at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on October 19 and 20, which will finally cap off her 2024 touring schedule thus far.
Presale for Carlile’s Red Rocks concerts will begin this Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, with general on-sale following on Friday, March 29 at 10 a.m. local time. A ticket lottery is available now for members of The Bramily, Carlile’s official fan club. For tickets and more information, visit brandicarlile.com/tour .

Legendary 70s rock star announces first UK and Ireland tour dates in 35 years
Share this with
It’s been 35 years since Stevie Nicks last played a string of shows in the UK – but that’s about to change, with the rock legend announcing a run of concerts this summer.
The iconic American singer, 75, last performed consecutive UK shows as a solo artist in 1989, playing in London and Birmingham during the Europe-wide Other Side of the Mirror tour.
She’s played in the UK several times as part of her group Fleetwood Mac , but this is the first time in a generation that fans all over the country will see her perform hits such as Edge of Seventeen and Rooms on Fire as the front of her own band.
The UK and Ireland tour kicks off in Dublin on July 3, before going to Glasgow on July 6. Then two England dates: Manchester at the newly-opened Co-op Live Arena on July 9, before a huge show at Hyde Park BST on July 12.
Safe to say, UK and Ireland-based Stevie Nicks fans have lost it at the news, with many sharing their reactions on social media.
On X, user Guitarista said, ‘Stevie Nicks is playing Glasgow. I have goosebumps and I will cry,’ while user Eva commented: ‘Stevie Nicks is coming to Glasgow and no one will go with me!’
That upcoming night in Glasgow in July will be her first show in the UK of any kind since before the pandemic – she last performed as part of Fleetwood Mac at Wembley Stadium back in 2019.
For her last UK solo show, you’ll have to go back even further to 2017, when she supported Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as part of the line-up for that year’s Hyde Park BST festival.
‘My birthday is on Thursday and all I want is to manage to get tickets to see Stevie Nicks in Glasgow when the tickets go on sale Friday,’ user Hailey posted onto X in response to the news.
However, some were left disappointed at there only being UK dates, with fans in places such as Cardiff, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Birmingham left feeling disappointed.
And one unfortunate user, Jake Thomas Long from Manchester, found out that Stevie would be playing his city while he’s not there: ‘Not Stevie Nicks coming to Manchester when I’m on holiday!’
As a singer and songwriter, Stevie rose to fame after joining Fleetwood Mac alongside fellow singer-songwriter Lindsey Buckingham in 1975, eventually leaving the band in 1990 before re-joining in 1997.
Stevie’s arrival in the band signalled a huge change of direction for them after initially being founded as a progressive rock band by Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, Jeremy Spencer, and John McVie in 1967.
After numerous line-up changes, Stevie and Lindsey joined before the release of the band’s 1975 self-titled album – their most successful up to that point.
Their albums Rumours, Tusk, Mirage, and Tango in the Night, released between 1977 and 1987, saw them become one of the biggest bands in the history of popular rock music, selling millions of albums and singles worldwide.
However, it’s unlikely that Stevie will ever tour with Fleetwood Mac again, after saying the band is ‘done’ following the death of long-time member Christine McVie , who died in November 2022 aged 79.
She said: ‘When Christine died, I felt like you can’t replace her. You just can’t. Without her, what is it? You know what I mean? She was like my soul mate, my musical soul mate, and my best friend that I spent more time with than any of my other best friends outside of Fleetwood Mac.’
