Launch Experience
KAHLERT VILLAGE
Our office partners with the Office of Admissions to give a tour of the residence halls through Kahlert Village as a part of the daily campus tour. Tours are scheduled through Admissions . Located on lower campus, Kahlert Village is just a short walk from classes and offers a brand-new dining hall on its first floor. Tours of Kahlert Village show the first-floor lobby and dining hall, one of the residential common areas, and a full suite featuring a single and double room with a connecting bathroom.

SELF-GUIDED TOURS
For students who would like to tour the University of Utah campus and on-campus housing without scheduling a tour, we've created a self-guided tour route complete with step-by-step instructions, information on each residence hall, and maps to help you navigate campus. The first link below will take you to three self-guided tour options, while the second link will take you to maps with driving directions. Students can tour lower-campus housing, upper-campus first-year housing, and upper-campus upper-division (sophomore, junior, & senior) housing. The tour guides lead into one another so you can tour all on-campus housing, and the tours are most cohesive if you start with the lower-campus tour route.

Centrally located on the UT Tyler campus and overlooking Harvey Lake, the five-story Ornelas Residence Hall offers students convenience and security.
Ornelas Hall was designed to meet the needs of incoming freshman as they transition to college life. To help students meet new friends and get connected to the university, Resident Assistants (RA's) host a variety of fun events and activities. Ornelas Hall is a great way for a new student to begin their college experience.

Kent Campus Hot Spots

The Kent Student Center is located in the heart of campus, providing a space to study, socialize, hold meetings and host events. Dining options and the KSU Bookstore are also found here.
University Library
The University Library was voted the best place to study on campus for five consecutive years. Amenities include a computer lab, study rooms and lounges, exercise bikes to use while reading, 3-D printers and a Starbucks.
The Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MACC or MAC Center) is the bustling hub for intercollegiate athletics and serves as a multi-purpose arena.
Student Recreation and Wellness Center
The Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center features 153,000 square feet of state-of-the-art fitness amenities including machines, free weights, a running track, basketball courts, a lap and leisure pool, and so much more!
Design Innovation (DI) Hub
The DI Hub is an open-access collaborative space with state-of-the-art amenities, including laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC routers, wide format printers and kitchen spaces. Dining options are also available here.
Cartwright Hall
Also known as the Auditorium Building, it houses Graduate Studies, the University Auditorium and many KSU offices and services. It is also a beautiful building to study in!
College of Aeronautics and Engineering
Aeronautics and engineering building.
If you're a nursing student, you will spend most of your time here! This building features classrooms, an auditorium and state-of-the-art simulation labs.
FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center
Located at the KSU Airport just down the street in Stow, the building features classrooms, flight simulators and collaborative spaces.
College of Architecture and Environmental Design
The john elliot center for architecture and environmental design.
In addition to offering several specialized research labs, a café and gallery, this building also features a partial green roof to capture and recycle rain water and 131 geothermal wells for heating and cooling.
College of Arts and Sciences
Integrated sciences building.
Recently renovated, this building includes instructional spaces, research labs, study areas and open common areas for students.
Wick Poetry Center
Located in the historic May Prentice House, this upgraded building offers a state-of-the-art digital classroom, the Stan and Tom Wick Library, the Jo Woodward Reading Room, and a third-floor Poet’s Loft for quiet reflection.
Oscar Ritchie Hall
Named after Kent State's first Black faculty member, Oscar Ritchie Hall is the hub of academic life for African-American KSU students, offering student lounges, meeting spaces, lecture halls and classrooms.
College of Communication and Information
Franklin hall.
Home of the School of Media and Journalism, here you will find the Black Squirrel Radio studio, a digital TV studio and control room, a virtual reality lab, a newsroom, several editing suites and so much more.
Taylor Hall
In addition to a signature gallery, photography studios, the Creative Lab, a beautiful lounge, studio and classroom spaces, this building also houses the May 4 Visitors Center.

Brackenridge Hall
Brackenridge Hall , our smallest residence hall, is part of the Brackenridge, Roberts and Prather (BRP) housing complex, a group of three residence halls tucked away between Jester Center and San Jacinto Hall on the south side of campus. Like its neighbors Roberts and Prather, Brackenridge packages inner-campus convenience in a charming setting, where rooms are quaint, quiet and spacious.
