Wet Hot All-American Summer Tour With New Found Glory

Motion city soundtrack, the starting line, the get up kids to support.

The All-American Rejects are excited to announce their highly anticipated return to the stage with the Wet Hot All-American Summer Tour , their first headlining tour in nearly a decade. Produced by Live Nation, the 27-city tour kicks off on August 11 at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa , FL making stops across the U.S. in Boston, MA , Nashville, TN , Los Angeles, CA , and more before wrapping up in Oklahoma City, OK at Zoo Amphitheatre on October 14 .

Speaking on their upcoming dates, the band said: “ We’ve been trying to get out on the road in a proper way for the last few years. We finally realized after playing When We Were Young that the world was ready to pull out of their “guilty pleasure chest” and celebrate the soundtrack of their youth. When New Found Glory, The Starting Line, Motion City Soundtrack and The Get Up Kids signed on, the feeling was ‘This is a celebration of summers gone by.’ It’s time to embrace the cumulative joy of growing up. First we got you to “Swing Swing,” then we became your “Dirty Little Secret,” and you thought “It Would End Tonight” so we could “Move Along,” then we “Gave You Hell” for denying the fact that we’re the band you listened to your entire lives, whether you liked it or not.”

Vocalist/bassist Tyson Ritter and guitarist Nick Wheeler were best friends in high school in Stillwater, Oklahoma, when they founded The All-American Rejects in 1999. And while their emo-pop band has traveled far and wide and sold millions of albums in the years since, their music retains an irrepressible energy and infectious scrappiness, two qualities that seem quintessentially teenaged in the best sense. They’ve also always understood the lasting value of big sticky melodies, a lesson they absorbed from a wide range of early influences that included Bon Jovi and Def Leppard, as well as emo forebears such as Weezer and Jimmy Eat World. Already fully realized on their 2002 indie hit “Swing, Swing,” The All-American Rejects’ catchy mix of arena rock, power pop, and emo soon landed them a deal with DreamWorks. Later hits like 2005’s “Dirty Little Secret” and 2008’s “Gives You Hell”—which hit No. 1 on the iTunes chart—confirmed the wide appeal of Ritter and Wheeler’s sometimes snarky and always punchy songwriting.

The All-American Rejects Announce First Headlining Tour in a Decade

The "Wet Hot All-American Summer Tour" marks the band's first headlining tour in a decade and features rotating support from The Get Up Kids, New Found Glory, and more

The All-American Rejects Announce First Headlining Tour in a Decade

The All-American Rejects have unveiled a 2023 trek across the US starting this summer, aptly titled the “Wet Hot All-American Summer Tour.” The 27-date outing marks the band’s first solo headlining tour in a decade as well as their first extended road trip since their 2017 co-billed excursion with Dashboard Confessional.

Featuring support on select dates from fellow pop punk faithfuls The Get Up Kids , New Found Glory , Motion City Soundtrack , and The Starting Line , the “Wet Hot All-American Summer Tour” launches in Tampa on August 11th, then heads into early Fall with stops to Boston, Nashville, Los Angeles, and more. The jaunt concludes in Oklahoma City on October 14th.

Tickets are available via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

“We’ve been trying to get out on the road in a proper way for the last few years,” the band shared in a statement. They credited their 2022 appearance at the Las Vegas pop punk summit When We Were Young with renewing interest in a full return to the stage, saying, “The world was ready to pull out of their ‘guilty pleasure chest’ and celebrate the soundtrack of their youth.” Acknowledging their supporting roster, who are all members of our list of the 100 Best Pop Punk Bands , AAR called it “a celebration of summers gone by.'”

The All-American Rejects Unveil Wet Hot All-American Summer Tour

by Cillea Houghton April 4, 2023, 11:23 am

The All-American Rejects are ready for a rowdy summer.

Videos by American Songwriter

The band is set to embark on the 2023 Wet Hot All-American Summer Tour, marking their first headlining tour since the Shaking Off the Rust Tour in 2012. The new trek takes them to nearly 30 cities, beginning on August 11 in Tampa, Florida. Along the way, they’ll make stops in Boston, Nashville, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles and other major cities before closing out on October 14 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Fellow pop-rock and punk bands New Found Glory, The Starting Line, Motion City Soundtrack and The Get Up Kids will join as opening acts.

“We’ve been trying to get out on the road in a proper way for the last few years,” All-American Rejects stated in a press release. “We finally realized after playing [When We Were Young Festival in 2022] that the world was ready to pull out of their “guilty pleasure chest” and celebrate the soundtrack of their youth. When New Found Glory, The Starting Line, Motion City Soundtrack and The Get Up Kids signed on, the feeling was, ‘This is a celebration of summers gone by.’ It’s time to embrace the cumulative joy of growing up.”

“We are excited to share with you our dirty little secret,” New Found Glory wrote on Instagram , referencing the Rejects’ 2005 hit, “Dirty Little Secret.” “The powers that be have decided to line up a tour that would bring much joy to the people that love to rock at a level beyond normal levels of rock! So pumped to announce the Wet Hot All-American Summer Tour! Teaming up with The All-American Rejects and we couldn’t be more pumped. Plus every other band on this tour we love and have loved!”

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday (April 7) at 10 a.m. local time, with a fan presale taking place Tuesday (April 4) until Thursday (April 6).

Recently, New Found Glory released their new acoustic album, Make The Most Of It, via Revelation Records. The album features seven brand new tracks written in the wake of guitarist Chad Gilbert's rare cancer diagnosis, including previous singles "Dream Born Again" and "Get Me Home" alongside seven live acoustic versions of fan favorites.

Mixed by Mark Trombino (blink-182, Jimmy Eat World), Make The Most Of It is a rumination on what it means to grieve, to live, to approach every day with appreciation and a sense of fulfillment.

A percentage of proceeds from Make The Most Of It will go to The Pheo Para Alliance, the longest standing internationally recognized leader in advocacy for, and awareness of, pheochromocytoma.

As New Found Glory can attest, life moves quickly. Just three years after forming in Coral Springs, Florida, in 1997, the group were fast-tracked from local upstarts to mainstream stars on the back of ebullient pop melodies and hardcore-tinged breakdowns, setting off a blast of pop-punk dynamite that still lights the torch for modern acts more than two decades later.

They became the voice of an underground movement, spurring iconic gold and platinum records (2000's New Found Glory, 2002's Sticks & Stones, and 2004's Catalyst), countless MTV appearances, an entire subgenre (easycore) and sold-out tours the world over.

New Found Glory has always been about the same thing - honesty, community, and positivity. After 25+ years of being a band, 11 studio albums, one live album, one Christmas album, one acoustic album, two EPs, and four cover albums, New Found Glory's ethos has never wavered; they always strive to be the friend you always need and always understands you.

New Found Glory is Jordan Pundik (lead vocals), Chad Gilbert (guitar), Ian Grushka (bass guitar) and Cyrus Bolooki (drums).

The All-American Rejects are excited to announce their highly anticipated return to the stage with the “ Wet Hot All-American Summer Tour ”, their first headlining tour in nearly a decade. Produced by Live Nation, the 27-city tour will perform at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre on Tuesday, August 22 at 7 p.m. Support for the local date will include New Found Glory, The Starting Line, and The Get Up Kids.

Megan Thee Stallion announces Hot Girl Summer tour - All you need to know about dates and tickets

Megan Thee Stallion , the rapper known for her hit song Savage, has excited fans by announcing her Hot Girl Summer tour.

The 29-year-old star is set to perform in 32 shows across North America, Europe, and the UK this spring and summer. The first concert will be at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 14.

She'll then visit big cities in the US like Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New Orleans, Atlanta, Tampa, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Megan will also perform at the O2 arena in London on July 7 and July 14. Other stops in Europe include Dublin, Glasgow, Paris, Manchester, Birmingham, Amsterdam, and more.

Fans are in for a treat as Memphis rapper GloRilla will be the opening act for the US concerts. The support acts for the UK and Europe shows haven't been announced yet. Tickets will be available starting at 10 am on Friday, March 22.

Megan posted the tour dates and information on her social media pages. On Instagram, she put in her caption ticket details and wrote: "Get ready hotties it’s about to be a timeeee. Can't wait to see y'all!" with clapping emojis and a sun emoji.

Fans flocked to the comments to share their excitement. One fan wrote: "My day has been made."

"I was ALREADY going but having @glorillapimp come with u just put icing on that thick cakeeeeeeeee," another said. Other fans commented what shows they'd attend in what cities.

Fans suspected something big was coming when Megan hinted at new music last October. During that time, Megan got her fans super excited on Instagram with a sneak peek of her new song called Cobra. She put up a picture that says: "Cobra. A story by Megan Thee Stallion. Available November 3rd."

In the picture, Megan is striking a pose with what looks like a wild jungle behind her. She's not wearing much but has some strategically placed coverings that kind of look like snake skin on parts of her.

After dropping Cobra, the rapper dropped her next single Hiss earlier this year. Some of the lyrics in Hiss seemingly called out fellow rapper Nicki Minaj, who was not happy about the song's release.
