Port in Barcelona

Cool Cruiser

We will be disembarking the Explorer in Barcelona on October 29. Does anyone know which port Regent normally uses? I understand there are several and some can be quite a distance from the entrance to the port.

Also, our flight out of Barcelona is not until the next day. I suspect we will need to be out of our suite by about 8:00 AM. However, we would like to have a nice leisurely breakfast prior to disembarking the ship. Can anyone tell us how much time we would have for this?

We disembarked at Barcelona recently. You were expected to leave your stateroom by 8:00 but then we had a leisurely breakfast in Compass Rose. I’m not sure about several ports in Barcelona. There’s only one port I know of

I suppose you could say there are two ports but there is only one "Cruise Terminal". Normally the larger ships dock at the outer mole where the Terminal is and there are shuttle buses to the port exit. There are also a LOT - seemingly hundreds! - of taxis waiting at the Cruise Terminal when you leave it. Just take a taxi to your hotel or the airport. We actually ordered a car service but that cost us about four times what the taxi would have cost...

You can ask to disembark as late as 0900 but after that you have to be off the ship.

JMARINER

Regent usually docks in the inner harbor, but sometimes at the outer jetty. There is little differences unless you want to try to walk to town. Taxi cost from either are about the same.

We did this two days ago. No problems. Many taxis. Regent will accommodate your breakfast. Also, the trip to airport from your hotel will be easy, not much traffic going out.

Barcelona is one of the best run ports we disembarked from. We have disembarked here with a much larger ship once also. Very well organized and finding your luggage at the end is easy.

Thanks for posting that link FlossieSue and Flossie David--indeed useful.

The cruise ship in the photo is Silversea's Silver Wind docked at the Maremagnum Port Vell (right next to our fav Barcelona Hotel (Eurostars Grand Marina) to stay at for Silversea or Regent cruise embarks.

Last July, we enjoyed staying again at the Eurostars Grand Marina. Tho not disembarking, we were embarking for a stunning 18 day Norwegian itinerary. We simply had the Grand Marina concierge roll our bags out the hotel's entrance about 50 yards to the Silver Wind reception area--and checked in. Easiest embark we have done in nearly two dozen cruises (about half on Regent and half on Silversea).

For our Voyager crossing a few years ago, from the Grand Marina hotel a taxi ride was about 5 minutes from the hotel to the Adossat Quay cruise terminal.

Agree - there has not been an issue whenever we are docked in Barcelona. Even when we have stayed at a Regent hotel, we take a taxi to the port which is easy and fast (and helps us avoid the busloads of passengers that arrive at the ship around the same time).

A Sophisticated Traveller's Guide to Cruising with Regent Seven Seas Cruises

regent seven seas cruises barcelona

Sponsored by Regent Seven Seas Cruises

If you're an experienced and refined traveller who appreciates the finer things in life, Regent Seven Seas Cruises could be just what you're looking for. This stylish luxury line prides itself on delivering an unrivalled experience at sea on what is widely regarded as the world's most luxurious fleet.

If you enjoy luxury cruising and staying in high-end hotels when you travel, you'll feel right at home on this all-inclusive cruise line. Regent’s spacious ships offer sumptuous all-suite accommodation that is some of the largest you'll find at sea.

Carrying fewer than 750 guests, the six stylish ships in the fleet attract a discerning group of adventurers who are fuelled by curiosity to learn about different cultures and enjoy activities like visiting museums, wine tastings, fine dining, enriching lectures, and culinary adventures.

If you think this sounds like you -- or you would like to expand your horizons and discover a more sophisticated style of cruising -- read on to learn more about Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Exclusive Offerings Onboard and Ashore

regent seven seas cruises barcelona

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is the world's only cruise line that includes unlimited shore excursions in every port. This doesn't just make this luxury line good value for money, it also means Regent is ideal for genuine travellers who are citizens of the world and seek to engage more deeply with the destinations they visit, rather than simply ticking sights and attractions off a list.

In fact, the entire experience on Regent Seven Seas Cruises is essentially included, from highly personalised service with one of the highest staff-to-guest ratios at sea to unlimited WiFi, valet laundry service, pre-paid gratuities, gourmet dining in speciality restaurants and more. A pre-cruise hotel package for guests staying in Concierge-level suites and above is especially welcome for travellers from Australia and New Zealand who can look forward to boarding their ship well-rested and ready to enjoy their cruise.

A Brand-New Ship to Surprise and Delight

regent seven seas cruises barcelona

Speaking of ships, all of them offer all-suite accommodation plus a myriad of complimentary speciality restaurants and a small number of guests for an intimate cruise experience, ranging from 496 on Seven Seas Navigator up to a maximum of 746 guests on Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Splendor and the newest ship, Seven Seas Grandeur.

Seven Seas Grandeur launched at the end of 2023 and elevates the line's 'standard offerings' (which are anything but standard) to a whole new level. Highlights include a 1,600-piece art collection including an exquisite Faberge egg, elaborate new production shows and more than 130 dishes created exclusively for the ship. The latest innovations in technology and wellness also take centre stage, like a zero-gravity wellness massage that takes place on an amber and quartz crystal bed -- one of Seven Seas Grandeur's invigorating new spa experiences.

SpaceX's Starlink high-speed internet makes it easy to keep in touch with friends and family back home, watch online movies or perhaps get a little work done.

A voyage on this ship, or any of the others in the Regent Seven Seas Cruises' fleet, is sure to be an experience that's worth writing home about.

Elevate Your Cruise with Unique Onboard Experiences

regent seven seas cruises barcelona

Onboard, you’ll find a range of elevated and unique experiences designed to appeal to the line's cultured and well-travelled clientele. For example, why not learn how to recreate dishes from the places you're visiting at the Culinary Arts Kitchen – Regent's state-of-the-art onboard cooking school? This is arguably the ultimate souvenir as it lasts forever and the dishes you make back home will bring back wonderful memories of your trip.

Restaurants that celebrate the world's greatest cuisines are another onboard highlight, with choices ranging from the modern French flair of Chartreuse to Pan-Asian flavours at Pacific Rim and the simple pleasure of a perfect burger at the Pool Grill.

You'll also find specialist guest lecturers onboard to enrich every trip. Spotlight Voyages take this concept one step further with a range of programming tailored to special interests like war history, winemaking or tracing your ancestors as you explore the lands where they once walked.

Complimentary fitness classes and a focus on mindful living will keep you looking and feeling good as you explore the world with like-minded travellers, indulging in the things that bring you joy.

In-depth Exploration and Bespoke Holiday Experiences

regent seven seas cruises barcelona

If you can bring yourself to get off your beautiful ship, you'll be spoiled for choice with an impressive array of immersive tours and experiences. With port calls in more than 550 destinations, many of them with late departures or extended overnight stays, it’s no surprise Regent Seven Seas Cruises won Best for Destinations in the Luxury Category of the Cruise Critic UK Editors' Picks Awards 2023.

Highlights of the overnight stay programme include destinations such as Bangkok, Monte Carlo and Istanbul. Safaga, a popular jumping-off point for tours exploring the many wonders of Luxor in Egypt, is another highlight of Regent Seven Seas' extended stay programme. If you're a fan of discovering the city's nightlife, there are more than 100 overnight ports of call to choose from.

Whether you stay overnight or are in port for the day, your toughest decision will probably be choosing which of the complimentary (and unlimited) shore excursions you would like to do first.

Depending on your itinerary, you might tour historic markets with an expert guide, spot puffins in Iceland, shadow box with a taiji master in Shanghai, swim in a thermal spring off the coast of Santorini or perhaps learn about port wine in Porto in Portugal, the town where it all began.

Sustainability and Responsible Cruising Initiatives

regent seven seas cruises barcelona

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is always on the lookout for ways to cruise responsibly, with five pillars guiding the line's Sail & Sustain strategy. Examples of these include ensuring ships in the fleet are fitted with Advanced Wastewater Purification systems, tying greenhouse gas reduction to executive pay incentives and optimising itineraries to reduce emissions. The latter initiative resulted in a reduction of thousands of metric tonnes of carbon dioxide in the past year alone. And you'll find no plastic water bottles onboard thanks to the line's Vero Water initiative that sees suites equipped with reusable water bottles.

Strengthening communities the line visits is another focus, with a range of sustainable, socially and environmentally responsible shore tours available for guests. These tours aren’t just educational, they’re also enjoyable with options including learning about deforestation at a Costa Rican sanctuary for sloths, touring Europe's largest solar technologies research and development centre in Spain, and discovering (and tasting) the benefits of biodynamic and organic farming at a winery in Bordeaux.

Upgrade Your Horizon with Great Deals

regent seven seas cruises barcelona

With some impressive deals to help you cruise more often, there's never been a better time to set sail with Regent Seven Seas Cruises. For example, the line's latest 'Upgrade Your Horizon' promotion includes up to a double category suite upgrade and 7.5% reduced deposits on hundreds of cruises. Plus, you can save up to 50 per cent on more than 80 destination-immersive sailings around the globe.

Imagine experiencing the scenic splendour of Iceland as you sail to London on Seven Seas Explorer, going on safari during a Christmas sailing in South Africa or ending your Australian Magic sailing on Seven Seas Mariner in Bali (the perfect spot for a post-cruise holiday). With so many destinations and itineraries to choose from, your next luxury holiday could be closer than you think.

These New Cruise Itineraries Offer Overnight Stays in Every Port

F or many, experiencing a destination's nightlife is an integral part of travel—from exploring the brightly lit streets of Tokyo for an evening of karaoke and street food to bringing out the black tie attire for a posh night out at Monaco's Casino de Monte Carlo. However, when it comes to cruises , passengers usually end up spending most of their nights at sea.

But this year, luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas is launching a new array of itineraries specially designed for travelers to be able to experience port cities after dark. Called “Immersive Overnights,” the new voyages offer the industry's first-ever itineraries for which the ship stays overnight (sometimes two) in every port of call, according to Regent. The sleepover sailings will take place in fall 2024 and 2025 in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe , and Asia .

Traditionally, cruises depart each port in the late afternoon, meaning that travelers can only see a destination by day. When traveling this way, cruisers can miss out on iconic experiences in many cities—like Tokyo , Barcelona , and Berlin —where the nightlife is a huge part of the local culture.

Overnight port stays have been a growing trend in the cruise industry over the last few years, with many of the top lines offering one or two sleepover stays in some of the more bustling cities in Europe and Asia. “It’s something travelers are demanding more of,” says Tom Baker , a travel specialist at Cruise Center. “Clients are looking for longer port times to enrich their cultural experiences ashore and some even will overnight ashore in a hotel in a key city [if it’s] farther inland to maximize port times,” Baker adds.

While overnighting in port has become increasingly popular throughout the industry, Regent says these are the first cruise itineraries to feature overnight stays in every port along the way.

The first of the Immersive Overnight sailings will take place in the Mediterranean in early October 2024, with three different voyages offered in the region through October and November. Each voyage will give passengers the opportunity to experience some of Europe’s most glamorous coastal cities after dark. The first sailing, a 10-day voyage on board Seven Seas Voyager features overnights in Trieste, Italy; Zadar, Croatia ; and two nights in Athens, Greece . Later in October, Voyager will offer another 10-day cruise, this time departing from Istanbul , with overnights in Dubrovnik , Rome , and Barcelona.

In spring 2025, Regent's second Immersive Overnights itinerary will launch in Asia, with a 14-day cruise from Japan, giving passengers the chance for nighttime revelry in some of the region’s most exciting cities. That voyage, which is on board Seven Seas Explorer , will spend the night in Kyoto, Japan ; Seoul, South Korea ; Shanghai ; and Tokyo.

The new overnight-focused itineraries “will change the way luxury travelers cruise,” Andrea DeMarco, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said in a statement . “These extended overnight experiences will allow guests unparalleled immersion in a range of incredible global destinations."

Each Immersive Overnight sailing will also feature special evening shore excursions, so passengers can make the most of seeing port cities at night. Regent has created 26 new excursions focusing on activities that are best experienced at dusk or nighttime, including sunset wine tasting in a Tuscan villa , an evening tour of Athens followed by a seaside dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant, and a night spent in Split gazing at the city lights with a traditional a cappella performance over dinner.

The after-dark activities are a chance for cruisers to be immersed in their voyage’s destinations, instead of feeling rushed to explore a new city in just a few hours. According to Linda Speer , founder of Cruises by Linda, more travelers are seeking out slow travel experiences like these. “Passengers really like to dine locally as well as stroll, shop, and just experience a destination unhurriedly,” Speer says.

Spring and summer 2025 will also see Regent’s overnight itineraries return to Europe. Among the highlights on those voyages are two-night stays in Berlin, Stockholm , and Salerno, Italy, on the iconic Amalfi Coast . Single-night stays will also be offered in Copenhagen , Helsinki, and Monte Carlo.

Fares for the Immersive Overnight voyages currently start at $4,799 per person based on double stateroom occupancy.

Land programs & hotels.

Explore both cosmopolitan London and the quintessentially British countryside in the Cotswolds, admiring a variety of popular attractions such as Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London and the elegant city of Bath including a visit to the ancient Roman Baths.

Fly into London Heathrow or London Gatwick Airport. Here you will be met and transferred to The May Fair Hotel.

Although every effort will be made to have your room available prior to the 3:00pm check in, this cannot be guaranteed. If you have an early arriving flight, you may wish to book an extra night to guarantee early availability of your room.

Note: Once you have gone through Customs and Immigration you will collect your luggage at the carousel, walk through the “nothing to declare” channel and then exit into the arrivals hall where your driver will be waiting with a sign with the cruise line logo. Should you not be able to locate your driver within a few minutes, as he may be assisting other guests, please contact the local agent via the emergency phone number listed below.

The remainder of the day and meals are on your own, after which you will overnight at the hotel.

London is a city that inspires and amazes! A capital that basks in its rich history where around every corner there is something new, yet something very familiar. We take you on a tour of this majestic city, fully guided by a London expert.

Your day begins in a Royal Palace after breakfast at your hotel and a short drive outside the city.

On the banks of the River Thames, Hampton Court Palace started life in 1515 as a magnificent brick stately home for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey. Seized by Henry VIII at Wolsey's downfall, the Palace was enlarged and became home for Henry and wife number two, Anne Boleyn.

Explore with a Hampton Court guide the Tudor bedrooms, oak panelled corridors and extensive Royal kitchens. Visit the magnificent chapel and banqueting hall. See how the Palace received a makeover by Sir Christopher Wren during the late 17th century reign of William and Mary. Enjoy the works of art from the Royal Collection on display throughout the building and take time to stroll around the grounds, admiring the fountains and getting yourself lost in the famous Hampton Court maze!

Return to the city for a superb 2-course lunch in a top London restaurant to enjoy a ‘Taste of Britain’ menu followed by a champagne cruise on the River Thames as you pass by the iconic Tower Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral and the Palace of Westminster.

In the afternoon enjoy a guided panoramic tour of the city, starting from Parliament and Westminster Abbey, peer along Downing Street, home of the British Prime Minister, circle around Trafalgar Square, see vibrant Piccadilly Circus and the opulent Albert Memorial and view the city's famous museums such as the Victoria and Albert and the Science Museum. Head into Knightsbridge to drive by Harrods and then take a short walk for a photo stop outside Buckingham Palace before returning to your hotel at the end of this entertaining and rewarding day.

Please note: Parts of the itinerary may be reversed depending on local traffic conditions.

Upon returning to your hotel, the evening is at spent at your leisure, dinner is on your own.

After breakfast at your hotel, begin the day with a journey to England's West Country, to the elegant city of Bath, famed for its therapeutic hot springs, a long and varied Roman history plus the beautiful terraces, crescents and circuses of the 18th Century that adorn the residential area of the city.

Bath's foundations go back to Celtic times when the springs were first discovered, and the healing properties realized. Enjoying the warm waters, the Roman invaders soon arrived in the first century and called this place Aquae Sulis turning it into one of the most important religious centers and military settlements in the northern part of the empire.

Through the Saxon era and the Mediaeval period up to the city's new foundation as a resort for Georgian aristocrats, making the three-day journey from the capital, the wealthy elite would take the waters to cure themselves of rheumatic diseases, stiffness of the joints and gout.

On arrival in Bath there will be a guided tour where you will walk along the original Roman pavement, before entering the Roman Baths to see the hot baths and remains of the temple of Sulis Minerva.

Next, take a drive though the delightful rolling hills and meandering streams of the Cotswolds, to honey-coloured stone villages down narrow country lanes. Time seems to have been given very little chance to march forward around these parts. Cottages of 17th century weavers’ homes stand next to chuckling streams, gentle rolling green hills and hidden valleys that stretch across these limestone uplands. With an expert guide on board your coach you will set about exploring this area and meander through this wonderful landscape.

Visit Burford where the old weavers’ houses cascade down to the valley of the River Windrush below and see Stow on the Wold with its ancient marketplace and hilltop views. Enjoy a hearty pub lunch in an old English hostelry during your journey around the Cotswold Hills as well as photo stops and guided walks in each of the villages you call into.

Back in London at your hotel, the remainder of the evening is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

After breakfast and check out, begin your journey to the ship via one of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe ‘Stonehenge’.

Entry to the site is included, with an audio guide. Kindly be in the lobby 15 minutes prior to departure, having settled any incidentals, where you will be met by a local representative.

Explore both cosmopolitan London and a deeply fascinating corner or Britain, the beautiful countryside of Kent. Admire a variety of popular attractions such as the Tower of London and it’s Crown Jewels, the Battle of Britain Monument, Dover Castle and the surrounding area that is referred to as “the Garden of England”.

Fly into London Heathrow or London Gatwick Airport. Here you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Although every effort will be made to have your room available prior to the 3:00pm check in, this cannot be guaranteed.

Note: Once you have gone through Customs and Immigration you will collect your luggage at the carousel, walk through the “nothing to declare” channel and then exit into the arrivals hall where your driver will be waiting with a sign with the cruise line logo.

Start this day of discovery with an exclusive private tour of the Crown Jewels within the historic Tower of London.

You'll be met by one of the guardians of this royal fortress upon arrival - a magnificently dressed Yeoman Warder, or 'Beefeater' who will show you symbols of over 800 years of monarchy. Marvel at the Imperial State Crown and gaze in wonder at the Cullinan diamond, the largest clear-cut diamond in the world. An amazing collection of intricate jewellery and precious metals which are still in use today for coronations and special events.

There is plenty of time to explore the rest of this ancient fortress, see the site of executions at the scaffold, visit the Beauchamp Tower adorned with the graffiti of prisoners over 500 years ago. Climb the thousand-year-old White Tower and learn the gruesome history of the Bloody Tower.

This is followed by a 2-course lunch in a top London restaurant to enjoy a ‘Taste of Britain’ menu followed by a champagne cruise on the River Thames as you pass by the iconic Tower Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral and the Palace of Westminster.

Travel to a surprisingly unique and deeply fascinating corner of Britain, the beautiful county of Kent, with its lush green landscape, bountiful orchards, fruit markets and bustling vegetable farms it is known, quite rightly, as The Garden of England.

But Kent is not just a collection of charming villages and narrow country lanes, its proximity to the continent has made it both a rewarding and dangerous place to be. Whether it be Roman or Norman invaders, the arrival of Christianity through St Augustine, or French Huguenot refugees escaping persecution, the county of Kent has seen it all.

More recently, though, it was in the firing line from Luftwaffe during World War Two, specifically the Battle of Britain in 1940. The sky over the county echoed to the sound of dogfights between the Royal Air Force and the enemy.

Enjoy a drive into the heart of the region, through fields of market produce, tomatoes, onions, orchards of apples and the ever-present hop fields. We pause in the delightful village of Chilham. With its timber framed cottages huddled below the stately Manor House at the head of the old square. Visit the church and see the ancient Yew tree which took root way back in 690AD.

Pay a visit to the Battle of Britain memorial that overlooks the famous White Cliffs of the South Coast. From here, as we look out to the French coast, we make the short journey to Dover Castle, the largest castle in England. Visit the 2,000-year-old Roman lighthouse, Henry II's magnificent 12th century stone keep and explore the extensive range of tunnels dating from the Napoleonic Wars and World War Two.

The next stop is the award winning Gusbourne Vineyard. As a founding member of Sustainable Wines of Great Britain, Gusbourne carries an accreditation that reflects the most exacting environmental standards. The visit begins with a glass of sparkling wine on arrival followed by an exclusive vineyard tour. Learn the processes and methods to transform fruit into great wines, all while taking in the stunning views. The tour concludes with a 2- course, locally sourced lunch and tutored wine tasting.

Once the visit ends, begin the journey back to London where the remainder of the evening is at your leisure and dinner is on your own.

After breakfast and check out, begin your journey to the ship via one of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe ‘Stonehenge’. Entry to the site is included but the tour is self-guided.

Please meet in the lobby 15-minutes prior to departure, having settled any incidentals, where you will be met by a representative who will accompany you on the drive. Once at the port you will embark the ship.

Price: $2,699 per guest based on double occupancy.

Behold the seemingly endless natural beauty of Iceland by visiting thundering waterfalls, ancient glaciers, geothermal hot springs and a gorgeous black sand beach that attests to the country’s volcanic creation.

NOTE: This program begins in Reykjavik, Iceland and ends in Southampton, England where guests will board the ship. Guests need to fly into Iceland’s Keflavík Airport (KEF) for the start of this program. An economy class internal flight between Iceland and England is included in this program and will be booked by RSSC.

Special Note: This program is not recommended for guests with extreme walking difficulty or for those who require the use of a wheelchair. Guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on the internal flight.

After arriving at the Keflavík airport, you will transfer to the Fosshotel Reykjavík for a 3 pm check-in.

Note: Although the rooms are comfortable, they are quite basic and may face an inner courtyard or the street.

The remainder of the day will be at your leisure with meals on your own.

The team at the Regent Seven Seas Hospitality desk can offer recommendations for sightseeing and dining. There is plenty to see nearby as Fosshotel is just a short walk from the main shopping area.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Þingvellir National Park, an attraction of great historical, geological and cultural significance. It is located in a rift valley where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. The site is also where Iceland’s Parliament was founded in 930 AD. Thingvellir became Iceland’s first national park in 1930 and is home to Iceland’s largest natural lake, Thingvallavatn.

You will next visit Gullfoss Waterfalls, whose name comes from the golden color of its water as it churns up silt and sediment. These magnificent waterfalls in the Hvitá River are fed by Langjökull, Iceland’s second largest glacier. The cascades are more than 100 feet high and fall in two tiers making for a magnificent sight. If not for the tenacity of a local environmental activist, Gullfoss would have been covered by the waters of a proposed hydroelectric dam.

Continuing on, you will head for the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur Valley, home to the Geysir hot spring. Although Geysir doesn’t erupt often, it is surrounded by bubbling cauldrons of superheated mud, steaming pools and Strokkur, a geyser that erupts every 6-10 minutes. The geothermal activity at this popular destination is much like that happening all across and beneath Iceland that naturally powers countless hot tubs, swimming pools and greenhouses.

That same energy is used to bake bread underground at the aptly named Geothermal Bakery. After learning about the process, you will help extract a loaf of dark rye bread from the ground oven and sample it. If you wish, you can slather on butter and top the bread with a piece of herring or trout.

Later, you will see Kerið, a volcanic crater lake located in the Grímsnes area that is one of the most visually stunning geological wonders in the country. This vibrant blue gem, which is part of the Western Volcanic Zone that includes the Reykjanes peninsula and the Langjökull Glacier, is it one of the three most recognizable volcanic craters in Iceland because of its unique red rock.

Once you return to the hotel, the remainder of the day will be at your leisure with dinner on your own.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for a full day of touring south Iceland. While traveling through a mountain pass and into fertile farmland, you will enjoy astonishing views of the countryside, especially along this section of the Ring Road, which is flanked by rugged mountains, glittering glaciers and towering volcanoes.

Depending on the weather conditions, you may see Eyjafjallajökull, the site of a volcanic eruption in 2010 that was so enormous that its ash cloud halted Europe’s air traffic for several days.

Later, you will behold the beauty of Seljalandsfoss waterfall as it tumbles off Eyjafjallajökull Glacier into a deep pool below. If you don’t mind getting wet, you can walk behind the cascade to see it from the other side.

You will also see the majestic waterfall Skógafoss and stroll along the black volcanic sand beach at Reynisfjara. The basalt sea stacks rising out of the water there are absolutely spectacular.

Upon returning to the hotel, the remainder of the day will be at your leisure with dinner on your own.

Following breakfast at the hotel and check out, you will transfer to the REK airport for your flight to the UK. Upon arrival in London, you will proceed through Customs and Immigration. After luggage claim, you will be met and assisted with a transfer to the port of Southampton where you will board the ship.

If any flight delays are encountered while enroute, guests should proceed to the airline counter for updates. Downloading the free airline app will also keep guests current of any changes and in the event of a cancellation or delay, the airline will notify them, via the app, of their new schedule.

Explore Barcelona and Girona in depth by visiting their architectural landmarks, often on guided walking tours and on your own with a liberating Hop On Hop Off bus voucher in the capital of Catalonia.

Note: Due to the amount of walking, this program is not recommended for guests with mobility restrictions.

After disembarking the ship in Barcelona, you will begin a guided tour of the city. You will pass the Columbus monument and the waterfront on the way to Sagrada Familia, the extraordinary still-unfinished church that famed architect Antoni Gaudí worked on until his death in 1926. The guide will explain the history of the church and its lengthy ongoing construction during your outside visit.

Continuing on, you will begin a walking tour of the Gothic Quarter, passing landmarks such as the La Seu Cathedral and city hall. A more sweeping view of Barcelona awaits you upon reaching Mount Juic hill, where you may pause for photos. You will then visit Spanish Village, an open-air museum with replicas of characteristic houses from throughout Spain. As you meander the grounds, you may observe artists such as glassblowers demonstrating their talents.

A tapas-style lunch follows, after which you will check into your hotel to spend the first of three nights. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure.

After breakfast, you will settle in for a direct transfer to Girona, accompanied by a guide. Northern Catalonia’s largest city, Girona is full of museums, galleries and Gothic churches, strung around a tangle of cobbled lanes and medieval walls. Reflections of modernist mansions shimmer in the river that divides the historic center from the gleaming commercial center.

During the comprehensive walking tour of the city center, you will enjoy an inside visit of the 12th-century Arab baths and see the remains of Girona’s historical Jewish community. During free time that follows, you might savor lunch on your own before transferring back to Barcelona to spend the evening at the hotel.

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will receive a Hop On Hop Off bus voucher that will allow you to explore the attractions that interest you the most. Simply hop on the buses and hop off whenever you wish. The buses travel in a continuous loop between attractions that include the Picasso Museum, the Gaudí-designed houses Casa Battló and Casa Mila, and various shopping areas.

The entire day will be yours to spend as you please, with all meals on your own before retiring to the hotel for the evening.

Following breakfast at the hotel, you will check out by noon (subject to change). Transfers to the airport will be based on flight times. See your Welcome Letter for details. For guests with late-departing flights, luggage storage is available at the hotel.

  • The Study In an atmosphere that’s reminiscent of a personal library in an elegant, stately home, Regent Suite guests may gather in The Study to privately dine on meals from the adjacent Chartreuse and Prime 7 restaurants. Such an exclusive opportunity further establishes the Regent Suite on Seven Seas Splendor® as the pre-eminent luxury accommodation on the high seas.
  • The Casino Inspired by the iconic gaming halls of Las Vegas and Monte Carlo, our Casino is an elegant and exciting destination unto itself. Whether you’re a player or spectator, the excitement is contagious, the drinks are delightful and the staff is welcoming. Challenge friends to poker and blackjack or cheer on your number at the roulette wheel. Find your way to our Casino through stylish glass doors – and may Lady Luck treat you kindly.

This guest favorite is many things: a hallmark, a much-loved hideaway, an elegant gathering place for good conversation and bonhomie. Aboard  Seven Seas Splendor ® it’s also a modern space with oversize leather armchairs and signature works of art placed tastefully throughout. Stop in and test the conversational waters over a fine cigar or fine cognac, both available for purchase. As you would guess, smoking is permitted here.

  • Constellation Theater Plush seating and pleasing sightlines make every seat a great seat in our state-of-the-art show hall. Stretching two decks, the Constellation Theater boasts lavishly staged, high-energy shows created and produced by our own team of Broadway choreographers and directors. Sit in comfort or get up and dance to stories brimming with romance, intrigue, singalongs – even a tear-jerking tribute to the days of disco.
  • Meridian Lounge Elegantly appointed and comfortably furnished, this sleek lounge is a showstopper, with an expansive bar serving your favorite cocktails. Warm lighting and sophisticated ambiance are integral to its charm, but its vibe is the intangible draw. Meet for a drink before a show at the Constellation Theater or to continue your unforgettable evening with performances by resident musicians afterwards.
  • Observation Lounge Our fleet abounds with spectacular suites, restaurants, and lounges, but the Observation Lounge on Seven Seas Splendor® is truly magical. It offers staggering views as the ship enters and leaves ports of call, but its interior is lush with upholsteries inspired by the fluidity of flower petals, giving it the feel of a sunlit English garden. At night, a whimsical chandelier and hand-painted glass screens work in tandem with a cocktail pianist to perfect the scene.
  • Splendor Lounge A magical place to laugh and unwind. Enjoy signature cocktails in a space designed to arouse the senses, from soulful sounds floating on ocean breezes to plush chairs cradling you in comfort to a lounge so spectacularly designed it will dazzle from every angle. What better way to prepare for a delicious dinner than chatting with fellow guests while musicians perform on an intimate stage beneath a grand proscenium?
  • Fitness Center Serene Spa & Wellness™ fitness experts lead popular exercise classes, such as Pilates, yoga and meditation and are on hand to offer advice and demonstrate the use of fitness equipment. Equipment includes spinning bikes, dumbbells, treadmills, Technogym Strength Machines, workout mats and step benches. One-on-one training can be arranged with a fitness instructor. Guests under the age of 16 are not permitted in the Fitness Center.
  • Jogging Track & Recreation Whether you prefer to start your day with a brisk jog or wait until later and get in an afternoon walk, our Track is a popular destination for those who’ve developed active lifestyles back on dry land. Onboard Seven Seas Splendor® it’s an outstanding place to get your heart pumping while enjoying unforgettable ocean vistas.
  • Serene Spa & Wellness Serene Spa & Wellness™ is a globally inspired, tranquil haven of health, beauty and wellness, offering restorative treatments and activities to soothe both the body and mind. Strengthen and elevate as you engage with a variety of treatments and services designed to enhance your whole being, from massages, and body wraps to facials, manicures and pedicures and exclusive treatments curated especially for Regent Seven Seas Cruises®.
  • Boutiques It could be a shimmering piece of evening wear you can’t wait to show off at dinner or something perfect for someone back home. Our shops sparkle with carefully picked selections of designer garments, fashionable accessories and smart gifts. Stop in and be enticed by a wide range of items – from upscale handbags to exclusive fragrances to fine jewelry – in an unhurried setting.
  • Business Center If you prefer to travel without a laptop, our staffed Business Center offers desktop computers that allow you to access your emails and browse the Internet. Printer access is available for a nominal fee. Seven Seas Splendor® provides WiFi access throughout the ship, allowing you to connect to the Internet with whatever device you’ve brought on board.
  • Reception Have your every wish, whim and want fulfilled at our welcoming Reception Desk. Our office staff is available 24 hours a day to answer your questions – the ship's Concierge may be contacted at the Reception Desk as well. He or she is eager to provide you with general assistance and help you make the most of your voyage.

All guests must ensure that their travel documents are valid, including having enough blank passport pages required to facilitate passport stamping and visas on arrival, where applicable.
