Kendrick Lamar Drops Merch from 'The Big Steppers Tour'
Hoodies, tees and a hat are available now..
Kendrick Lamar just wrapped up the North American leg of his famed The Big Stepper Tour , so before he heads out on his European run, he’s blessing fans who couldn’t attend — or who didn’t want to wait in line at the concert — to pick up some album-inspired merchandise.
The LA-based rapper has released a concise range of hoodies, tees and a hat. One design features the graphics from the “N95” music video and the lyrics “Are You Happy For Me?” from the chorus of his record “Savior” that features his cousin and tour opener Baby Keem . This comes printed on a black pullover hoodie and a white tee. The other option is comprised of the tour title written in Old English font on the left chest, and this comes paired with the city stops on the back. Black and cream pullover hoodies along with short-sleeved tees in black, gray and cream are adorned with these graphics. Last on the list is a silver ball cap which is emblazoned with “The Big Steppers Tour North America 2022” in bold blue font.

Upon clicking the link, one will find eight unique designs, including hats for $45, t-shirts for $50, and hoodies for $100. Notably, one of the designs reads “Are you happy for me?” quoted from the Compton rapper’s record “Savior” featuring Sam Dew and his tour opener/cousin, Baby Keem. Another reads “I choose me. I am sorry” from the initial album closer “Mirror,” which is now the penultimate track after “The Heart Part 5” was added.
The Big Steppers Tour, supporting Lamar’s latest LP Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers , began in July with US dates before Lamar, Keem, and additional opener Tanna Leone head overseas to Glasgow, Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham, the legendary O2 arena in London, and Manchester.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers was released in May with features from Summer Walker, Kodak Black, Blxst, Ghostface Killah, and more.
The Saturday Night Live Season 48 guest revealed last year that this would be his last album with Top Dawg Entertainment.

The new merch collection for Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN.” tour is here
Kendrick Lamar probably named his fourth studio album DAMN. because he knew that’s what everyone would be saying when they listened to track after track of absolute fire. In April, Kendrick announced the “DAMN.” tour that’s set to start next week, and unsurprisingly, he later added 15 additional tour dates due to the popularity of his 17 originally released locations.
With 32 shows planned all across North America (including Canada, how’s that eh?), your chances of seeing Kendrick live are pretty high . But even with plenty of opportunity, tons of fans will be left unable to see the “DAMN.” tour (damn you, financial restrictions!). Luckily for everyone, Kendrick has released his tour apparel early so we can all gear up for either the live-Kendrick experience, or the in-car DAMN. listening experience. Hey, Kendrick said it best: be humble.
Kendrick took to Instagram Stories yesterday to announce the release of the new DAMN . tour merch:
The merch is being sold on TXDXE.com by Top Dawg Entertainment, and prices are pretty modest considering how expensive tour apparel can get. You’re not going want to miss out on these items, because who doesn’t want to wear their Kendrick Lamar love on their sleeve?
Check out some of the items available.

Scroll through both pictures to get the full effect of one of DAMN .’s most popular song lyrics. This shirt is currently on pre-sale for $35, and it will ship by June 16th.

It’s also on pre-sale for $60 , and will be shipped by June 8th.
There are also tees:

This awesome yellow long-sleeve is also available.

It’s also not on pre-order and can be yours for $40 .
And there are hats!
Pre-order it here for $30.
Pre-order this one here , shipping June 16th, for $30.
Needless to say, the merch is lit, and should probably be ordered immediately.

The 48th season of NBC’s sketch show begins on October 1, with Lamar kicking off the series premiere that’s hosted by actor Miles Teller.
Willow is booked for the following week (October 8) when actor Brendan Gleeson hosts . Then, on October 15, Megan Thee Stallion will be on duty as both host and musical guest. Lamar last appeared on Saturday Night Live in 2018 when he performed “Tints” with Anderson .Paak.
At the beginning of the month, Lamar unveiled a six-minute short film to accompany his Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers track, “We Cry Together,” which tells the story of a couple going through the ups and downs of a relationship.
In the video, Lamar goes through highs and lows with his partner, played by actress Taylour Paige. Directed by Jake Schreier, Dave Free, and Lamar, with cinematography by Adam Newport-Berra, the short film was shot in a single take with live vocals in March 2020.
On August, K.Dot played a surprise intimate show in New York–and he later shared some of the footage on social media. As Line Of Best Fi t reported, Lamar headed to the Dumbo House members’ club where he treated attendees to an impromptu show, performing alongside his touring bassist and keyboard player. “Your first shit was classic, your last shit was tragic Your second shit put n-ggas to sleep, but they gassed it Your third shit was massive and that was your prime I was trailin’ right behind and I just now hit mine.”
Cole also evoked some of JAY-Z’s bars to Nas, rapping”
“ I’m hesitant, I love my brother, but I’m not gonna lie I’m powered up for real, that shit would feel like swattin’ a fly Four albums in twelve years, nigga, I can divide Shit, if this is what you want, I’m indulgin’ in violence “

Kendrick Lamar Already Has the Best Verse of 2024
Kendrick Lamar has arguably had the best verse of 2024 so far. When the rapper joined Future and Metro Boomin on their new song, "Like That," in March, it served as a defibrillator for the rap game. The lethal verse he unleashed into the world sent an electrical shock throughout the genre. A potential three-way feud between Kendrick, J. Cole and Drake as a result of K-Dot's bars has given the genre an explosion of energy not seen in 2023.
Cultural impact aside, Kendrick's lyrics effectively straddle the line between subliminal and targeted. The track, which appears on Metro and Future's We Don't Trust You album, finds Kendrick adding just enough details so fans knew, without naming names, exactly who Kung Fu Kenny was speaking about.
Breaking Down Kendrick Lamar's "Like That" Verse
Kendrick did this by continuously playing off Drake and J. Cole's joint song, "First Person Shooter," as well as Drizzy's latest album, For All the Dogs .
"OK, let's get it up, it's time for him to prove that he's a problem/N***as cliquin' up, but cannot be legit, no 40 water, tell ’em," Kendrick raps in the opening bars.
This line alone perfectly exemplifies the multiple layers of meaning Kendrick brings to each bar. On one hand, Kendrick notes that Cole and Drake appear to be "cliquin' up" and teaming up against together. K-Dot says their partnership will never be on the same level as when E-40 joined forces with B-Legit and The Click back in 1991.
However, "cliquin' up" could also be about Cole and Drake's joint song "First Person Shooter," and referring to how their guns are clicking because they're out of ammo. Additionally, the "40 water" line could be interpreted as a dig at Drake's longtime producer Noah "40" Shebib, who is known for using what he calls an "underwater" effect on his beats.
While it's this layered eye for detail that makes Kendrick's "Like That" verse so effective, he abandons the double entendres shortly after to make sure his point is made loud and clear in the following bars.
"F**k the sneak dissin', first-person shooter, I hope they came with three switches," is the bar that caught rap fans' attention. This part of the song is when everyone realized Kendrick was taking aim at Cole and Drizzy. While the lyrics before this were littered with metaphors and clever wordplay, Kendrick decides to seize the moment in a direct callout of "First Person Shooter." He wants everyone to know who he's talking about, not just the rap scholars ready to dissect his every word.
Kendrick continues on this trend by rapping plainly, "Muthaf**k the big three, n***a, it's just big me/N***a, bum, what? I'm really like that."

Kendrick doesn't use violent threats to get his point across.
Kendrick's verse is also powerful because he doesn't rely on violent threats to get his message across. With violence perforating diss tracks within the drill scene, and in rap beefs of the past, it packed more of a punch to hear Kendrick rely on his lyrical talents as an MC to target his foes.
"And your best work is a light pack/N***a, Prince outlived Mike Jack'," Kendrick raps at one point, referring to Drake's current tie with The King of Pop for most No. 1s ever for a solo artist. Drake takes great pride in his ongoing contest with "Mike Jack." In the video for "First Person Shooter," Drizzy wears a sequined glove in reference to Jackson. Kendrick merely saying that Prince outlived Michael Jackson implies that these titles aren't everything when it comes to life and death.
Drake Seems to Have Heard Kendrick's Verse
While rap enthusiasts could dissect Kendrick's "Like That" clever verse for hours, it seems to have shaken Drake to his core. In the wake of hearing the diss, Drizzy has seemed to subliminally fire back at Kendrick via cryptic Instagram captions. While fans wait with bated breath to see if The Boy will hop in the studio for an official response, it takes a lot to catch Drake's attention these days, so it's safe to say the message was received.
However, the best part about "Like That" is the conversation it's provoked among rap fans. What will a Kendrck, Cole and Drizzy face-off even look like? Is Future involved, too ? Is Future and Metro Boomin's We Don't Trust You an entire album dedicated to dissing Drake ? Who will emerge victorious when all is said and done? All of these questions have consumed rap fans' psyches and resulted in some very intense back-and-forth discussions. While only time will tell what happens next, no one in 2024 has gotten the rap world talking quite like Kendrick Lamar.

Kendrick Lamar Took Shots at Two Superstar Rappers and Only One Responded
Cop Your XXL Merch Now
Kendrick Lamar captivated the rap world when he took shots at two of the biggest rap superstars around, but so far only one of them has really answered the call.
After K-Dot targeted Drake and J. Cole on his “Like That” verse a couple of weeks ago, J. Cole officially returned fire with “7 Minute Drill” on Friday (April 5). Cole’s fiery bars picked apart Kendrick’s catalog, as well as his cultural relevancy as an MC.
“I came up in the ’Ville, so I’m good when it’s tension/He still doin’ shows, but fell off like the Simpsons,” Cole raps. “ Your first shit was classic, your last s**t was tragic/Your second shit put n***as to sleep, but they gassed it/Your third s**t was massive and that was your prime/I was trailin’ right behind and I just now hit mine/Now I’m front of the line with a comfortable lead/How ironic, soon as I got it, now he want somethin’ with me.”
Drake Must Respond as Soon as Possible
While a Cole and Kendrick battle of the bars is a wet dream for lyrical rap fans, let’s remember that Kendrick’s “Like That” verse took some serious jabs at Drizzy, arguably more so than Cole.
“OK, let’s get it up, it’s time for him to prove that he’s a problem/N***as cliquin’ up, but cannot be legit, no 40 water, tell ’em,” Kendrick raps in the opening bars of “Like That.”
Elsewhere, he raps, “And your best work is a light pack/N***a, Prince outlived Mike Jack’.”
The latter bars refer to Drake’s current tie with Michael Jackson for most No. 1s ever for a solo artist and Drizzy’s Michael Jackson mention in “First Person Shooter.” Kendrick is saying that Prince outlived Michael Jackson, implying that these titles mean nothing in the grand scheme of life and death. As for the “40 water” line, this could be interpreted as a diss aimed at Drake’s loyal producer Noah “40” Shebib, who is known for relying on an “underwater” effect to make his beats.
Kendrick also continuously refers to Drake’s latest album, For All the Dogs , throughout the verse (“‘Fore all your dogs gettin’ buried/That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary “), as well as the song “First Person Shooter,” which inherently is a Drake song even though Cole appears on it.

Where is drake.
Instead of responding, Drake has opted for subliminal jabs via social media and vague speeches.
“A lot of people ask me how I’m feeling,” Drake said during a recent stop on his It’s All a Blur Tour – Big as the What? “I’ma let you know how I’m feeling. Listen, the way I’m feeling, is the same way I want you to walk out of here feeling tonight about your f**kin’ self. ’Cause you know how I’m feeling? I got my f**kin’ head up high, my back straight, I’m 10 f**kin’ toes down.”
A few days later, The Boy wrote on Instagram, “They rather go to war with me than admit they are their own worst enemy,” followed by another post a few days after with a caption that read, “I could never sell ya’ll out to sell my latest work,” he typed. “Never do you bad out the blue but I’m down to make it worse.”
He then posted a picture on the Gram of him giving the middle finger to the camera on Thursday (April 5).
Now that Cole has stepped into the ring, Drake’s cryptic dances have gotten old. There’s no escaping the fact that Drake has a three-way rap beef on his hands, and his response is officially overdue. The pressure to deliver some detrimental bars is at an all-time high now that Cole has returned shots.
This means that Drake is tasked with delivering the fatal blow, not just to Kendrick but to his growing laundry list of opps coming out of the woodwork. It’s not an ideal spot to be in. Anyone who’s ever had to present a class project knows it’s always better to go first than last in case you flop. Drake has previously shown he’s up to the task via his beef with Meek Mill , but as shown by his feud with Pusha T , Drizzy’s also faltered. Will he make good on his responsibility to crush his foes? It grows more unclear by the day.

J. Cole went straight for the jugular when firing back at Kendrick Lamar ... calling K.dot's critically acclaimed "To Pimp a Butterfly" album the audio version of a sleeping pill, and folks are mad.
On Friday, Cole left the rap internet in a tizzy thanks to his surprise project "Might Delete Later" ... which features the song "7 Minute Drill," and a direct response to Kendrick's "Like That" disses that dominated the Billboard Charts these past couple weeks.
Some of J. Cole’s bars for Kendrick Lamar mirror those of Jay-Z’s for Nas on Takeover pic.twitter.com/nNVX25Pqj7 — Joey (@gothamhiphop) April 5, 2024 @gothamhiphop
Cole took a page outta Jay-Z ' s infamous Nas diss track here ... Kendrick's albums "good kid, m.A.A.d city" and "DAMN" were given their due credit, but JC writes off 'TPAB' off as overrated trash that got the attention of outside media.
Cole coldly raps ... "[Kendrick] still doin' shows, but fell off like The Simpsons/Your first s*** was classic, your last s*** was tragic/Your second s*** put n****s to sleep, but they gassed it/Your third s*** was massive and that was your prime I was trailin' right behind and I just now hit mine."
Terrace Martin , the primary producer for 'TPAB' and Kendrick’s ex-TDE exec President Punch all took exception to the bars, as did several other Cali artists ... Jason Martin and El Prez . There's been a lot of chatter about Cole's take on 'Butterfly' ... some agree with him, others say he's dead wrong.
Cole really got half the TL openly slandering TPAB in unison. I’ve waited for this moment for YEARS. — Hielo (@OfficiallyIce) April 5, 2024 @OfficiallyIce
Also ... 'Joe Budden Podcast' cohost Officially Ice is stirring the pot as well by welcoming the anarchy. On its face, Cole may have caused a rap Civil War. No official word from Drake yet.
We're sure Kendrick will respond too, FWIW.
