Going on a family vacation this winter? My free Holiday Bingo game is fun for kids on road trips or on the plane! To & Fro Fam

My own kiddos love playing while we travel. If we’re in an airport, chances are we’re playing I Spy or even Hide and Seek, if the terminal isn’t too full. But when I break out the physical games and printables, that’s when Max and Edie get truly excited.

I have a feeling your kids might be the same. So simply download and print out these Holiday Travel Bingo games before your next trip. If you’re sitting, you can use anything to mark the squares—coins work well. Or if you’re en route, kids can X the squares off with a crayon or pencil. Either way, this free holiday Bingo game will help pass the time for the whole family!

I’m crossing my fingers for you and smooth travels, zero delays and friendly seat mates. But don’t leave your kids’ travel entertainment to chance. Use these Holiday Travel Bingo games to keep your whole family feeling merry and bright this holiday season.

It’s not just you—holiday travel IS busy

On average, travel is about a quarter busier than average around Christmas. And last year, an estimated third of Americans traveled during the holidays. That’s 112.5 million people on the roads, rails, runways—maybe even sleigh trails— according to AAA .

I’m not sharing those stats to scare you into staying home! I’m just validating your sneaking suspicion that holiday travel really is busier than normal.

The potential of winter weather delays also makes holiday travel feel busier than normal. (After all, when people aren’t moving when expected, that means roads and airports are more congested.)

Family travel this holiday doesn't have to be hard. Try out my free printable kids' travel activity, travel Bingo! To & Fro Fam

One study researched a year’s worth of data on weather delays and found these to be the most delayed airports in the US:

Worst U.S. Airports for Weather Delays

  • San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
  • Chicago O’Hare international Airport (ORD)

Now you can’t always choose which airport to fly out of, and you can’t miraculously change the weather in your region. But if you are flying out of one of these hubs, keep in mind winter weather delays are more likely than not. Then make sure you’re prepared—including having things on hand to keep kids entertained, like this Holiday Travel Bingo game!

Holiday Travel Bingo: A great kids' travel activity for the plane or car! Make sure to pack these free printable games for the airplane or your road trip this winter. To & Fro Fam

Holiday Travel Bingo game to keep kids entertained

So much of parenthood is recognizing the difference between what you can control and what you can’t, then moving on from there.

Family travel is the same. You can’t control snow and ice, nor can you control how many other people hit the road when you do. But you can control what you plan to keep your kids entertained during holiday travel.

So why wouldn’t you want these free Holiday Travel Bingo cards? They’re easily portable, so you can bring them along wherever you go. They have a good mix of festive and regular travel squares. They’re usable for air travel as well as road trips. (If you’re driving, make sure to be on the lookout during rest stops and potty breaks!)

Holiday Bingo - yes please! Make sure to pack this super fun kids travel activity for your family travel this holiday season. To & Fro Fam

How to use this holiday Bingo printable

Travel can be complicated. You have to book your trip, get to the airport on time or pack up the minivan for a road trip, deal with traffic and other delays, and keep track of everything from boarding passes to your actual children.

Luckily, using my holiday Bingo printable is easy peasy lemon squeezy (or “easy peasy yemon deezy,” as Maxine says, with her adorable pronunciation).

Here’s how to make the most of this free travel Bingo printable:

  • Sign up to get the free holiday Bingo printable delivered to your email inbox—right away!
  • Print the holiday Bingo cards. I think color is more fun and festive, but black and white is fine, too. Print the right number of cards for the people in your family. The PDF you’ll get includes 4 different cards!
  • [optional step] Laminate the Bingo cards. This is a great option if your trip is long, or if you want to play holiday travel Bingo on the way to and from your destination. Bonus tip: If you laminate, bring along dry erase markers, which you can erase from laminated pages and then reuse!
  • Hand out the holiday Bingo cards to everyone in your family who wants to play. They can mark off squares with crayons or use coins or pompoms as markers.
  • Decide if there will be a prize. You might want to stash some Hershey’s Kisses for winners, or dole out little toys. Or you can just play for funsies!

Love travel bingo!! We’re staying home for the winter holidays, but I keep wanting to go overseas this time of year and check out the Christmas markets one holiday season. These travel bingo cards would be great for the little ones!!

' src=

Oh my goodness the internet is going crazy over Christmas markets! I’ve never been to one so am sort of confused… maybe something to do next year. 😉 Enjoy your lovely holiday at home, Marlynn!

' src=

What a fun idea for the little ones! We’re embarking on a 10+ hour road trip this Christmas with my boys. I’ve been researching loads of things to keep them busy during the long drive. This one may be tricky to do in the car with wobbly laps, but I’m definitely willing to give it a shot! Thanks for the idea 🙂

Oh Mary, you are brave! I’ll be thinking of you on your road trip. While some of the items on the holiday bingo are more geared toward airports, this is definitely doable on a road trip, too! We use clipboards for laps in the car, and you can also bring the Bingo printable out with you during rest stops and food breaks. Again, good luck and happy holidays!

' src=

How cute are those?! I always loved playing bingo in the car back in the days when we didn’t have iPads, etc. Definitely need to bring this back!

Haha, pre-iPad life is hard to remember! I loved playing games on road trips with my family, too – so glad to help pass along that time-old tradition. 🙂

' src=

I love this festive idea! I’ve decided not to travel this year as a safety precaution – the Canadian government is asking Canadians to stay home so we can keep the pandemic under control, and hoping Canadians do. But! I’m going to share this with my sister so that we can play a game of bingo over video call, with her kids! I instead of travel bingo, virtual bingo. Thanks for sharing!

Erin, I’m obsessed with that idea! I want to figure out a way to play virtual Bingo with my loved ones this holiday, too. Thank you for the inspiration!!! Stay well.

' src=

This seems like a really fun and interesting idea, perfect for have a great time with family and friends. Thanks for sharing these ideas!

You’re very welcome! Always glad to meet another family games lover!

  • What is Travel Bingo?

Travel Bingo

Travel Bingo is a game that adds an element of fun and engagement to long car rides or journeys. It’s a variation of traditional bingo that is adapted for travel. The game typically involves creating bingo cards with items or landmarks commonly found along the route or at the travel destination.

Travel Bingo sets usually include bingo sheets, pencils, and a game board that can be reused for multiple trips

Each player gets a bingo card, which is a grid with different items or scenarios related to travel. These items can include things like a red car, a gas station, a specific road sign, a certain type of animal, or any other relevant element to the journey. As players spot these items during the trip, they mark them off on their cards.

The goal, similar to traditional bingo, is to complete a row or a specific pattern on the card by spotting all the items in that row or pattern. The first person to complete the pattern calls out “Bingo!” and is declared the winner.

There can also be a second winner if someone then goes on to complete the entire card during the course of the journey.

Travel Bingo is a great way to keep passengers entertained during long trips, and it encourages observation and engagement with the surroundings. It can be customized for different age groups and preferences, making it a versatile and enjoyable travel game.

  • Dice-based Travel Bingo : This variation comes with ten dice featuring objects that might be seen while driving, such as animals, vehicles, and buildings. Players roll the dice into the

  • Historical Bingo: Include items related to history, such as historical markers, battlefields, or monuments. This can add an educational element to the game.
  • Brewery or Winery Bingo: If your route takes you through regions known for their breweries or wineries, create cards with items like a brewery tour sign, a vineyard, or a craft beer label.
  • Cityscape Bingo: If you’re traveling through cities, include items like skyscrapers, public art installations, or famous street names.
  • Music Festival Bingo: If you’re heading to a music festival or an event with live performances, create cards with musical instruments, concert venues, or specific genres of music.
  • Photography Bingo: Focus on visual elements that would make for great photographs, such as unique architecture, street art, or picturesque landscapes.

Remember to tailor the bingo cards to the specific interests and preferences of the adults playing the game. You can easily create these cards yourself or find pre-made ones online that suit the theme of your journey.

How to make a diy travel bingo game

Creating a DIY Travel Bingo game is a fun and creative way to customize the game to suit your specific journey and the interests of the players. Here’s a step-by-step guide to making your own Travel Bingo game:

Materials Needed:

  • Paper: Use cardstock or a thicker paper for durability.
  • Markers or Pens: For drawing or writing on the bingo cards.
  • Ruler and Pencil: For drawing grid lines.
  • Stickers or Images: To represent items on the bingo cards.
  • Laminator (optional): To protect the cards from wear and tear.
  • Choose a theme for your Travel Bingo game based on the interests of the players or the nature of your journey. Themes could include landmarks, nature, culinary experiences, etc.
  • Make a list of items or scenarios related to your chosen theme. For example, if you’re doing landmark bingo, your list could include specific landmarks or historical sites.
  • Use a ruler and pencil to draw a grid on the paper. A traditional bingo card has 5×5 squares.
  • In each square, either draw or write the items from your list. Be creative and use stickers or printed images for a visual touch.
  • Create multiple unique bingo cards with a different arrangement of items on each card. This ensures that each player has a different card for variety.
  • Include a “Free Space” in the center of each bingo card. This space is automatically marked, giving players a head start.
  • If you have access to a laminator, consider laminating the bingo cards for added durability, especially if you plan to reuse them for future trips.
  • Players will need something to mark off the items on their cards. You can use small items like buttons, coins, or create custom markers.
  • Include simple instructions on how to play the game. Explain the goal (e.g., complete a row, column, or diagonal) and any specific rules.
  • Before your journey, test the cards to ensure that the chosen items are observable and realistic for the route you’ll be taking.
  • Enjoy the Game:
  • Distribute the cards to the players, and enjoy playing Travel Bingo during your trip!

Remember to tailor the game to the preferences and interests of the players, and feel free to get creative with the design and content of the bingo cards.

Some other car games to play on a road trip

  • Try to spot license plates from as many different states or countries as possible.
  • One person thinks of an object, and the others have 20 chances to guess what it is by asking yes-or-no questions.
  • Choose an object within sight, and say, “I spy with my little eye, something that is [color/shape/etc.].” Others try to guess the object.
  • Find words on signs or license plates that start with each letter of the alphabet in order.
  • Take turns singing along to your favorite songs. Create a road trip playlist before you leave.
  • Take turns posing “Would you rather” questions to the group. For example, “Would you rather have the ability to fly or be invisible?”
  • Each passenger has a virtual $20 to “spend” during the trip. They “spend” by spotting items on their side of the road. For example, a cow might cost $1, a red car $5, etc.
  • Use story cubes (dice with images) to inspire creativity. Take turns incorporating the images into a collaborative story.
  • Create bingo cards with items related to the journey and see who can complete a row or pattern first.
  • Start with a movie title (e.g., “Jurassic Park”). The next person has to name an actor from that movie (e.g., Jeff Goldblum). The game continues with the next person naming a movie featuring Jeff Goldblum.
  • One person says a word, and the next person has to say a word that rhymes. Keep going until someone can’t come up with a rhyme.
  • Go through the alphabet, taking turns naming animals that start with each letter.
  • Use the numbers on license plates to create mathematical equations. For example, if a license plate reads “452,” you could say “4 + 5 – 2 = 7.”
  • When someone spots a Volkswagen Beetle, they can call out “Punch Buggy” and lightly punch another passenger. Just be sure to establish rules for how hard the punches can be!

Hi, guys!  Today I want to share a few fun tips for traveling with kids and a fun new road trip game, Travel Bingo!!

So many parents are intimidated by the thought of long road trips or traveling great distances with little ones.  I’m not gonna lie, it’s not easy, but it doesn’t have to be awful!  Believe it or not, it can actually be fun!  WIth the right mindset and little extra planning you and your family can have an amazing time traveling to some really cool places!

If you are here only for the Travel Bingo printable, go ahead an scroll to the bottom.  However, if you are here for a few extra traveling tips – keep on reading!!

Road Trip Tips

At this point in our family life, we have tackled quite a few road trips.  Our first road trip as a family was when my son was 6 months old.  We drove 12 hours to visit family in Florida.  All I can say about that road trip is…wow!  That trip was a doozy!  However, with each and every road trip things get a little bit easier (plus your kids are always a bit older, which makes things easier too).

One thing I’ve learned through the years is to really be thoughtful about the things you bring.  At first, I would try to think of every possible scenario and pack accordingly.  However, that usually resulted in me packing way too much stuff.  The thing with packing too many things is that it’s difficult to stay organized, which results in an extra messy car.  Also, the kids can be overwhelmed if they have too many options to choose from.  So, b e strategic about what you bring.

I posted a while back about my tips for traveling with kids (which you can check out in full here ), but the gist of it goes like this:

  • When the kids are babies/toddlers, have an adult sit in the back seat with them.
  • Never stop when the kids are sleeping.
  • Alternate driving responsibilities.
  • Pit stop snacks are a great reward.
  • Take time to stretch your legs.
  • Adjust your expectations and slow down.
  • All the electronics!

Road Trip Fun

  • Games : Travel Bingo (obviously), “I’m Going On A Picnic…”, the Alphabet Game,

How to Choose the Perfect Travel Bingo Game

Things to consider before buying.

  • Game Variation: Consider the type of travel bingo game you prefer. Some games focus on spotting landmarks, while others feature various modes of transportation or wildlife. Choose a game that aligns with your interests and makes your travel experience even more enjoyable.
  • Age Range: Determine the age range of the players who will be participating in the game. Some travel bingo games are designed specifically for children, while others cater to all age groups. Pick one that ensures everyone can participate and have a blast.
  • Durability: Travel games should be compact, lightweight, and able to withstand wear and tear. Look for games made from durable materials that can endure the rigors of travel. Opt for water-resistant options to protect against unexpected spills or rainy adventures.
  • Portability: Convenience is key when traveling. Choose a travel bingo game that is easy to carry, making it a hassle-free addition to your luggage or backpack. Compact designs and portable storage containers are pluses.
  • Game Size: Consider the number of players you will be traveling with. Ensure your chosen game accommodates an appropriate number of players, allowing everyone to play simultaneously without any difficulties.

  • Reusability: Decide whether you prefer a single-use travel bingo game or one that offers reusable cards and markers. Single-use games are convenient for short trips, while reusable ones are more eco-friendly and long-lasting.

Types of Travel Bingo Games

  • Transportation Bingo: Check off different modes of transportation you encounter, such as cars, boats, or airplanes.
  • Wildlife Bingo: Keep an eye out for various wildlife species, such as birds, mammals, or insects, depending on your travel destination.
  • Country/Culture Bingo: Learn about different countries and cultures by finding culturally significant items or symbols.
  • License Plate Bingo: Spot different license plates from various states or countries as you drive along the roads.

Keep your kids entertained on your next family vacation with this fun printable Travel Bingo game!

As you know we do a lot of traveling with our kids. This often means hours traveling with 3 small kids in a small confined space. We have found that a key to smooth travel days with our kids is making sure we are prepared. Each of our kids always travels with their own Travel bag filled with snacks and entertainment essentials (like a Kindle loaded with movies, games, and apps along with headphones). You can learn more about how to set up the perfect kids Travel bags here.

In addition to their individual travel bags, we have found that its a great idea (especially for Car Travel days) to have some other fun games for the whole family to enjoy together. I am currently working on creating some game binders for our car but to start with I had my husband create some fun Travel Bingo cards.

You can either print out new pages for each trip so the kids can use a pen or pencil to mark off each square or laminate them so the same cards can be used over and over again with dry/wet erase markers or crayons. Personally, I plan to laminate mine.

I’m bringing you free printable road trip bingo cards to keep the family entertained while putting around town or on a cross country road trip.

Remember how much fun road trips were growing up? Without phones and tablets, we somehow managed to stay entertained and have fun on the road. In part it was thanks to road trip games like car bingo that had us all looking out the car windows for the things we needed to call BINGO!

Car Bingo Game

More families are packing their bags and taking road trips together. According to AAA , “…(in 2020) travelers will take to the road with 683 million car trips to satisfy their wanderlust.” Before you head out for your own road trip, print off these car bingo game cards.

To get the most use out of these printable bingo cards, you can either laminate them or simply slide each one into a gallon-sized plastic bag. That way you can affix stickers to the plastic or use a dry erase marker to mark the things you’ve seen. When you have a winner, you can unpeel the stickers or wipe clean. If you don’t mind making copies, just print out several copies of each and have them on hand.

Travel Bingo Printable Cards

There are 10 printable bingo cards in all. Five are for the road trip bingo game that features things you’ll see from your windows like a motorcycle, flag, roadside diner, and cow in a field.

Here is a sample bingo card.

Classic Bingo

Be the first person to find 5 images in a row either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to win the game. Just remember that once you get your 5 in a row, you need to say “Bingo”, but not too loud to disturb the driver. This is great for short trips or younger children.

Blackout Bingo

This is great for older children, teens, and adults. Winner of blackout bingo is the first person to find all the items on their card. Great for long car rides as it can take some time to find them all.

License Plate Bingo

The second set of five travel bingo cards is the license plate game made into bingo cards. Just like with classic or blackout bingo mentioned above, players will look at passing cars and mark off the states they find. There are only 24 states listed. But you can add a bonus round and how players take turns listing the missing states.

Here is a sample license plate bingo card.

What are travel bingo cards?

Travel bingo cards are specially designed bingo cards that feature various items, landmarks, or experiences you might encounter while traveling. Each card is unique, offering a diverse range of sights and activities, from spotting a red car to seeing a historical monument.

How to play travel bingo

Standard bingo rules.

  • Objective : The main goal is to find and mark off a set row of items on your bingo card.
  • Gameplay : As you travel, keep an eye out for the items listed on your card. When you spot one, mark it off.
  • Winning : The first player to complete a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) shouts “Bingo!” and wins the game.

Variation: Picture bingo

  • Objective : Instead of marking items off, take a photo of them.
  • Winning : The first player to collect photos of a complete row wins.

Variation: Storytelling bingo

  • Objective : Create a story using the items you spot.
  • Gameplay : Each time you mark off an item, add a sentence to your story involving that item.
  • Winning : At the end of the trip, players share their stories, and the most creative story wins.

Variation: Time challenge bingo

  • Objective : Complete a row within a set time limit.
  • Gameplay : Set a timer (e.g., one hour) and try to spot the items before time runs out.
  • Winning : The player who marks off the most items when the timer ends wins.

Customizing your travel bingo cards

You can create your own travel bingo cards tailored to your destination. For a beach trip, include items like seashells, surfboards, or lighthouses. For city tours, list landmarks, street performers, or unique architectural features.

How to Play Road Trip Bingo

And bingo was his name-o.

While for many, driving is a relaxing and invigorating experience, passengers in a vehicle may not share the same excitement. There’s simply not much to do in a car. Yes, you can use electronics to occupy your time such as TVs, tablets, and cellphones, but doesn’t everybody deserve a relief from technology every now and then? Not to mention how electronics coupled with road trips can cause severe motion sickness (eww and eek!). Puke, and a hot, extended drive? No way! Instead, opt for a car game that requires no electronics whatsoever but is still tons of fun regardless. Road trip bingo aka auto bingo or travel bingo is the perfect alternative, so without any further ado, let’s jump right into the road trip bingo game tutorial!

Like any bingo game, you’ll need a 5×5 square grid, totaling 25 squares. You can easily print out one of these grids online, but be sure to obtain one specifically for road trips, as well as one for each member of your party, so long as each player’s grid is different from everyone else’s. A road trip bingo game includes squares that have objects specifically found on road trips, such as highways, trailers, texting passengers, dogs, among other things. Finally, each player will need a tool to write with.

Road trip bingo plays nearly identically to the conventional bingo, aside from the driving themed grid. Yet, if you do not know how to play the traditional bingo, then please refer to the tutorial below.

1. Each player gets a grid with the same objects but different placement.   This makes their grids distinct from each other. Ensure no player has the same grid. The driver does not get a grid. 2. As the driver travels, they will call out relevant objects they spot.   As an example, we will use highway. If the driver spots a highway, they will announce it to the passengers. 3. Passengers will then find the called out object (“highway” tile) on their grid and cross it out by placing an ‘X’, check mark, or other notation on the grid. 4. Steps 2-3 are repeated until one player crosses out five objects in a row, which can be done vertically, horizontally, or diagonally (similar to a game of tic tac toe).   Keep in mind that the tile in the exact center of the board is a blank space, automatically cross that one out. 5. First player to complete step four entirely (five in a row) wins!

Road Trip Bingo Object Ideas

Roadside items such as Trailer, RV, Police Car, Fire Engine, Bridge, Motorcycle, Billboard, Road Cone, Gas Station, Ambulance, Stop Sign, Speed Limit Sign, Barn, House, etc. OR use a themed board where all objects are road signs, colors of cars, or makes of cars. Google ‘Road Trip Bingo Printables’ to check out dozens of free printable bingo cards.  We like the ones at Mom’s Minivan: http://www.momsminivan.com/printables.html .

Games of BINGO are player in singular teams–so only one person per team. However, there can be as many players as you want. Just make sure you aren’t causing too much of a distraction for the designated driver, as this could potentially cause a crash or other car issue that could result in serious troubles for you and your family. Drive safely and as always, have fun!

Are we there yet?

I’m sure you’ve heard this familiar cry from the backseat. As adults we often take pleasure in the journey, soaking in the sights as we drive from place to place. Teaching our kids to have that same appreciation can be a challenge.

Fortunately, games can help turn a long road trip into an exciting adventure. With the growing popularity of Pinterest, these games have taken on many new forms (see below), but our favorite is still license plate BINGO. It keeps my girls occupied for hours!

At Travelnitch, we create opportunities for shared learning, so parents and children can explore the world together.

We deliver new and exciting experiences to encourage dialogue and provoke curiosity. For that reason, we have three primary goals: – Strengthen the bond between parent and child through a shared love of travel. – Forge a more meaningful connection between kids and the world around them. – Promote creative learning to inspire a lifelong passion for exploration.

Travel plays such an important role in our lives. It has the ability to change us for the better. It’s an experiential education that teaches us how to feel, think, act, and react in positive ways. Travel fosters creativity, builds confidence, and teaches us all to be more tolerant. My own kids benefit from travel every time we hit the open road. No amount of money can buy those life lessons.

Travelnitch is inspiring the next generation of explorers. We believe travel is a wonderful way to ignite the imagination and get kids excited about the world. However, we need your help to make this possible. Please spread the word and support our efforts to raise citizens of the world. Let’s go on this adventure together!

Road Trips With Kids

As you plan your upcoming Spring break and Summer vacation it’s no doubt that many of you have fun road trips planned! Road trips can be a challenge if you have kids along so be prepared with these great road trip travel tips!

Free Travel Bingo Printable

My kids often play “I Spy” in the car and take turns trying to spot a red car or a number eight. I took that one step further and created these awesome Road Trip Bingo free printable games. There are four different bingo boards so all the kids can play (and won’t have the same board, thus winning at the same time). As they spot things on the bingo board they can mark them off. I grabbed some fun stamper markers so they can stamp each space as they see the object. They will need to spot various road signs, different colored cars, a construction cone or a convertible!

Print Road Trip Bingo

Road Trip Games For Kids

Once they get five in a straight line, diagonal, horizontal or vertical, they win Bingo! You can also mix it up and do different variations such as getting an “X” on the board with two diagonal lines crossing. Mix it up and have fun. Grab my free travel bingo printable and print it off!

travel bingo en route

Along with the Road Trip Bingo you’ll also want to make sure you bring along plenty of other car games such as coloring books, activity books, travel size board games, kids handheld games and look and find games.

One thing I always make sure to have handy is a bag full of snacks. Stopping along the way every time someone gets hungry is just not doable with four kids in tow! Not only that, but it also gets expensive to do all your snacking from convenience stores. Plus by bringing my own snacks I can bring along healthier snacks than what I would find along the way on a road trip. I always make sure to have plenty of crunchy snacks like chips, pretzels and cheese crackers for the kids. Of course I also bring along treats like gummy snacks and cookies for the kids.

Here are a few other tips for road trips with kids:

  • Pack plenty of snacks, both salty and sweet. Set yourself up for success by bringing along healthy snacks too. Apples, cheese sticks (in a cooler), and granola bars are great options. Keep healthier sweets on hand to avoid cheating on your diet, like the Weight Watchers Salted Caramel Brownie Bliss bars.
  • Bring plenty of games along to keep the kids entertained (Grab my free travel bingo ).
  • Have all the kids try to go potty before leaving. Then limit their fluid intake during the trip so you aren’t having to stop every twenty minutes. Provide drinks only at snack or meal times and only in limited amounts so they don’t chug down a whole bottle of water at once.
  • Plan to leave on your road trip at nap time or bed time. Driving while the kids sleep is a great way to make good progress without having to stop so often.
  • Be flexible! Traveling with kids has it’s challenges but it also creates priceless memories. Be flexible so you don’t get stressed out and miss out on the fun you could be having.

What is your favorite tip for taking a road trip?

I’ll have to keep this bingo game in mind when my kiddos are a little older. Road trips are always a hard time to keep kids occupied and having fun.

Such a great idea to have the bag packed with road trip games and snacks. Those brownie bites look divine.

I have GOT to get some of those Road Trip Bingo cards! We just drove 3 hours to the Grandparents house for Spring Break. And while it was an OK drive for the boys, my daughter really struggled. I think she’d get a kick out of the bingo game!

And YES to those caramel Brownie bites! I just love the Weight Watchers little snacks! So good!

They are such a great way to pass time!

Oh my, these are just great. We live in Texas and take tons of road trips all over, so these are perfect. Thanks for sharing. Love the printables

I’m so glad you like them Shauna!

These are great ideas. The travel Bingo would be a fun way to pass time.

Let’s dive into the world of Road Trip Bingo and discover how it can make your next road trip an unforgettable experience.

1. What is Road Trip Bingo?

Road Trip Bingo is a game that challenges you to spot various objects, landmarks, or occurrences during your journey. The game consists of bingo cards with different items to find, such as road signs, license plates from different states, animals, or even quirky sights like a pink car or a roadside diner. The goal is to mark off the items on your bingo card as you spot them along the way.

2. How to Play

Playing Road Trip Bingo is simple and easy. Before your trip, print out or create bingo cards with different items you’re likely to encounter during your journey. Distribute the cards to each player, along with markers to cross off the items. As you spot the objects on your card, mark them off. The first person to complete a row, column, or diagonal yells “Bingo!” and wins the game.

3. Engaging for All Ages

Road Trip Bingo is a game that can be enjoyed by travelers of all ages. It’s a fantastic way to keep children entertained and engaged during long drives. They’ll eagerly look out the window, searching for the items on their bingo cards. It’s also a great game for adults, as it adds a sense of excitement and friendly competition to the journey.

4. Discover Hidden Gems

One of the wonderful aspects of Road Trip Bingo is that it encourages you to pay attention to your surroundings. As you search for the items on your bingo card, you might stumble upon hidden gems that you wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. It could be a charming roadside café, a stunning viewpoint, or a quirky roadside attraction. Road Trip Bingo transforms your journey into an adventure of exploration.

5. Make Memories

Road trips are all about making memories, and Road Trip Bingo helps create unforgettable moments. From the excitement of marking off an item on your card to the laughter-filled discussions about the quirky sights you’ve spotted, the game fosters bonding and camaraderie among fellow travelers. These shared experiences will become cherished memories of your road trip.

6. Customizable Bingo Cards

One of the fantastic features of Road Trip Bingo is the ability to customize your bingo cards. You can tailor the items to the specific route you’re taking or the interests of your fellow travelers. For example, if you’re traveling through a national park, you can include items like wildlife, hiking trails, or scenic viewpoints on your cards. Customizing the cards adds a personal touch to the game.

7. Educational and Informative

Road Trip Bingo isn’t just a game; it’s also an educational and informative activity. It encourages you to learn about different road signs, state license plates, and various landmarks or attractions along your route. It sparks curiosity and encourages you to explore the history, geography, and culture of the places you pass through.

8. Road Trip Entertainment

Long drives can sometimes become monotonous, especially on highways with seemingly endless stretches of road. Road Trip Bingo breaks the monotony and injects fun and entertainment into your journey. It keeps your mind engaged and makes the hours fly by as you eagerly search for the items on your card.

9. Solo or Group Fun

Road Trip Bingo is a versatile game that can be enjoyed both in solo and group settings. If you’re embarking on a solo road trip, it adds a playful element to your adventure and keeps you entertained throughout the drive. In a group setting, it sparks friendly competition and lively conversations as you share your progress and sightings with fellow travelers.

10. Unplug and Connect with Nature

In today’s digital age, road trips provide an excellent opportunity to unplug from technology and reconnect with nature. Road Trip Bingo enhances this experience by diverting your attention to the beauty of the surroundings. It encourages you to appreciate the landscapes, observe wildlife, and immerse yourself in the journey.

11. Create Your Bingo Themes

While traditional Road Trip Bingo cards include common items like road signs and license plates, you can get creative and design your own themes. For example, if you’re a fan of astronomy, you can create a space-themed bingo card with items like “spot a shooting star” or “see a crescent moon.” The possibilities are endless, allowing you to tailor the game to your interests and passions.

12. Share Your Road Trip Bingo Experience

Don’t forget to document your Road Trip Bingo experience! Take photos of the items you spot on your card, capture the laughter and excitement of playing the game, and share your adventures on social media. Use hashtags like #RoadTripBingo or #BingoOnTheGo to connect with fellow travelers and inspire others to embark on their own bingo-filled journeys.

13. Road Trip Snacks and Bingo

No road trip is complete without delicious snacks to keep you fueled along the way. Combine the joy of snacking with Road Trip Bingo by incorporating food-related items on your bingo cards. It could be a specific fast-food chain, a type of candy, or a popular regional snack. Snack breaks become even more exciting when they involve crossing off items on your bingo card.

14. Road Trip Playlists

Music sets the mood for a road trip, and having a curated playlist adds to the overall experience. Create a road trip-themed playlist and include songs that mention road trips, traveling, or adventure. Play your favorite tunes as you search for items on your bingo card, and let the music enhance the joy and excitement of the journey.

15. Road Trip Trivia

Add an extra layer of fun to your Road Trip Bingo game by incorporating trivia questions. Prepare a list of trivia related to the places you’ll be passing through, such as historical facts, famous landmarks, or interesting anecdotes. Take turns asking and answering the trivia questions while keeping an eye out for bingo items.

16. Road Trip Prizes

Make your Road Trip Bingo game even more thrilling by introducing prizes. Determine rewards for the winners, such as choosing the next destination or picking the music for the next leg of the journey. Prizes add an element of anticipation and friendly competition, making the game even more exciting.

17. Road Trip Memories Jar

Create a road trip memories jar to commemorate your journey. Bring a jar and slips of paper along with you. Whenever you spot an item on your bingo card, write down the location, date, and a short description on a slip of paper. Collect all the memories and place them in the jar. Once you return from your trip, you’ll have a collection of moments to revisit and cherish.

18. Road Trip Safety

While Road Trip Bingo adds fun and entertainment to your journey, it’s essential to prioritize safety. Ensure that the driver remains focused on the road and assigns the spotting tasks to passengers. Always follow traffic rules, and if you spot an item on your bingo card, make sure to do so safely without causing any distractions.

19. Keep the Spirit Alive

Once your road trip is over, the memories and experiences will stay with you. Keep the spirit of Road Trip Bingo alive by sharing your stories with friends and family. Lightning Fire on Carnival Cruise Ship Cancels Trip Through Bahamas; 2nd Major Fire on Same Ship in 2 Years

A fire potentially caused by a lightning strike erupted on a cruise ship en route to the Bahamas over the weekend, interrupting travel plans for thousands of passengers.

The Carnival Freedom has now caught fire twice in less than two years, Knewz.com has learned.

An exhaust funnel on the cruise ship's port side burst into flames on Saturday, March 23, prompting the company to cancel its next two voyages.

"The ship’s fire response team was quickly activated, and the ship’s captain also turned the vessel towards the heavy rain in the area to maximize the efforts to put out the flames," Carnival wrote in a post on X . The company also noted it was investigating "the possibility of a lightning strike" based on reports from eyewitnesses.

A passenger from Maryland , Heath Barnes, shared videos on social media showing flames shooting out of the pipe amid gray, rainy conditions . He took the videos from his room's private balcony after he said he heard thunder and his family members notified him about the fire.

"I thought they were giving me a hard time but I got up and went out on the balcony and sure enough the flames and smoke was pouring out of the tail," Barnes told TMX.

https://twitter.com/CarnivalCruise/status/1771646928377254314

The cruise was set to dock at Princess Cay at 9 a.m., but around 8 a.m., crew members announced over the loudspeakers that strong winds would prevent the ship from making the scheduled stop. Instead, guests would "have a sea day and be in Freeport tomorrow," Barnes said.

"It was storming pretty hard until about 1 [p.m.] with all the upper decks closed," he said. A couple hours later, "the loudest thunder and lightning I have ever heard happened," he added.

According to Barnes, the crew instructed all guests to stay inside until around 5:40 p.m. due to the fire.

"Definitely an exciting day," Barnes said.

During the Carnival Freedom's visit to Freeport the following day, a technical team "completed a thorough assessment," John Heald, Carnival's brand ambassador, wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday, March 24.

"Regrettably, the damage is more than we first thought, and will require an immediate repair to stabilize the funnel, resulting in the cancellation of the March 25 and March 29 cruises from Port Canaveral," Heald said. "The funnel has been stabilized for the ship’s return to Port Canaveral overnight to disembark guests, and then it will go to the Freeport shipyard on Monday afternoon to begin the required repairs."

No injuries have been reported, and guests were refunded for the cancelled cruises.

"We sincerely regret the impact to our embarking guests , as we know they have been looking forward to their spring break vacation," Heald said.

In May of 2022, a fire broke out in a funnel of the Carnival Freedom while it was in Grand Turk, as People reported at the time.

Photos and videos on social media showed a massive plume of black smoke billowing from the burning pipe as crews worked to extinguish the flames.

The 948-foot cruise ship was built in 2007 and can carry up to 3,500 passengers, according to Cruise Mapper .

Two crew members have also died on the Holland America Line’s New Amsterdam ship, as Knewz.com reported , while the ship was at the island resort of Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas.

The incident occurred around 9:20 a.m. on Friday, March 22, following “an accidental steam release in an engineering space in the Bahamas,” a spokesperson for the cruise line said.

If you look a little into history, you can find out that the first river trams appeared in Moscow back in 1923. They included 70 small boats that could take on board from 40 to 100 passengers. Even before the Great Patriotic War, the most popular routes were from Kamenny Bridge to Zaozerye and from Dorogomilovsky Bridge to the AMO plant.

Already in the sixties, not only urban, but also suburban lines appeared, which were served by high-speed hydrofoil ships. Looking at the schedule of river buses, you can immediately determine that the most common route is starting from the Kievsky railway station and following to the Novospassky bridge. Transport departs every 25 minutes as in onedirection, and in the opposite direction, from noon to eight o'clock in the evening.

The next most visited route is from the Central Park of Culture and Culture to the Rossiya Hotel and back, here trams depart at half an hour intervals.

The trip from Sparrow Hills to Ustinsky Bridge will be exciting, which will end again at Sparrow Hills. In an hour and a half of travel, you can see amazing landscapes, extraordinary beautythe capital and hear a lot of interesting things from a guide accompanying you along the way. Such trips are remembered for a lifetime by their splendor and originality.

A large amount of water transport is provided by the Capital Shipping Company, but in addition to it, private companies offer river trips, which operate many additional routes. Thanks to this, there are no problems with overloading of trams, and all tourists can safely enjoy their vacation on the river surface.

For guests arriving in the metropolis, it is worth mentioning that there are 16 berths along the entire river. It will not be difficult to get to the right place and see the many sights located by the water, which will look even more majestic.

Muscovites often use waterbuses, as they make life easier for them. Despite the constant construction of freeways, it is quite difficult to travel by car in the city due to constant traffic jams. The metro is also overloaded, and in the warm season, there is not always a desire to go underground. River transport comes to the rescue, which will easily and comfortably take residents to the right place.

The hasty metropolis fades into the background, when you can calmly, sitting in a tram cafe, watch the beauties of the city. Many citizens are happy to go on river walks at night, because it is a real pleasure to see Moscow shining with lights, enjoying not only all its beauty, but also relaxing in a comfortable environment. The lights of buildings, the play of advertising make the city magical and unearthly in the dark.

When the established summer comes, not all residents can go to seaside resorts. River navigation comes to their aid, because moorings are also equipped in the Moscow region. On the shore of the Klyazma reservoir there is an excellent sandy beach, which is framed by a pine forest that helps to keep cool. There are many cafes and shops on the territory, so vacationers go with pleasure to enjoy clean air and a magnificent beach.
