Parking and Transportation
Located on 19 city blocks, SJSU has three parking garages, nine parking lots and perimeter parking for students, faculty and staff members, and visitors. Parking permits are required.
Park and Ride Shuttle Service
Ease the parking experience with service between Duncan Hall and the Park and Ride Lot, Monday through Thursday. Parking permits are required.

For students
All academic buildings are open from Mondays to Fridays between 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Students must use Tower Cards to enter.
For faculty and staff
All academic buildings are open all days and all times.

After Hours Access to Locked Buildings To gain access to a locked building after hours or on weekends please contact University Police Department (UPD) at 408-924-2222. You must present a valid SJSU ID and written authorization from faculty or staff or a reservation confirmation to enter the building.

Provident Credit Union Event Center. The Provident Credit Union Event Center at SJSU is the premier mid-sized venue in Northern California. Spartan Village on the Paseo is San Jose State University's new off-campus student housing development project opening in fall 2024. This new project transforms a 264-room luxury hotel tower into between a 650 to 800 student bed residence hall with on-site dining and community amenities. The site is located on the Paseo de San Antonio, 7 minutes walking-distance to campus.
