CHARTER RATES

During the review of the charter request by our sales staff, the requirements will be determined and the contract for the charter will be prepared. The quoted contract price for the charter will take into account several factors:

Choice of Vehicle

Luxury Motorcoach or Minibus

Even for smaller groups, the comfort and storage of a motorcoach might be the vehicle of choice. Then, depending on the itinerary, there are places that cannot be accessed by a motorcoach, so the minibus might be more appropriate.

Time of Year

At different times of the year there is more demand with competing uses for our vehicles, and fewer available openings in our schedule.

Distance Driven

The rate is based on a minimum base distance, then additional charges based on distance will take into account the distances per the approved itinerary/ routing.

For one-day charters, a minimum duration may apply, and service fees are applicable.  For multi-day charters, other factors come into play, such as overnight accommodations for the driver, and the regulations pertaining to driver hours may become a factor.

Charter Volume

For our clients contracting multiple trips in a year, special rates may be used in the calculations for the quote.

Special Itinerary Requirements

Depending on distances and required timing, a layover, deadhead, or an additional driver may be required to comply with regulations pertaining to driver hours.

Other Factors Affecting Cost

Additional factors that will affect the total cost of a charter include:

• Tolls and Toll Roads:  Especially the 407, can reduce travel time, but there will be an additional cost for the tolls.
• Fuel Surcharges:  Prices quoted are based on the current base cost/litre of fuel.  Knowing the itinerary, a fuel surcharge will be calculated if the cost/litre of fuel rises significantly.
• Parking & Access Fees  are payable by the client (example access fee would be airport fees)
• Service Fees & Tips:   For one-day charters, a tip for the driver will be included in the price as a service fee.  For multi-day charters, depending on the nature of the charter, a service fee may be included in the price or tips will be paid by the passengers.
• Wi-Fi:  Depending on the vehicle(s), cellular wireless internet is an optional add-on.
• Damage Deposit:  If there is no pre-authorized credit card on file, full payment will include an additional $500 for a damage deposit.  A minimum of $500 will be charged to the credit card on file if there are damages or extensive cleaning required after the trip.
• Changes in Itinerary:  Changes to the itinerary, while the trip is underway, may result in additional charges due to timing, tolls, and parking fees, but more critically, the impact on driver hours.  Please refer to our Terms and Conditions .
