Pizza comes in many shapes and sizes, from traditional Neapolitan pizza to Chicago-style deep-dish to rectangular Sicilian pizza and more. Did you know that Australia even has its own style of pizza? It’s topped with barbecue sauce, bacon and eggs and would probably be great eaten first thing in the morning.
But despite the wide variety of pizza options out there, arguably the most ubiquitous pizza of them all — even amongst Italians — is New York-style pizza. As a result, the trend of taking a pizza tour in NYC has skyrocketed.
What is New York-style pizza? The answer varies depending on who you ask, but most say it is characterized by its size, which typically stands at around 18 inches in diameter per pie. It always has a flour, sugar and oil-based dough and a tomato-sauce-topped crust, although the toppings vary.
Some argue that New York City’s water is integral to their doughy crust, although this has not been scientifically proven. Regardless, there is something extra-special about NYC pizza, whether it’s eaten by the slice (folded in half, of course) or by the pie (which is what all true New Yorkers call a whole pizza). And a pizza tour in NYC will offer incredible history along with incredible bites, so your curiosity and appetite will both be satisfied.
Taking a pizza tour in NYC can be a great way to experience the iconic eateries that made New York City a pizza lover’s paradise.
New York’s first pizzeria was called Lombardi’s and opened in Little Italy in 1905. Believe it or not, Lombardi’s still exists and has even opened a second store in Chelsea, although the prices have since increased from the original price of 5 cents per pie!
One may assume that Lombardi’s is the best pizza in New York considering it’s the originator, but being the oldest doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best. New Yorkers hold strong opinions about which pizza parlor they rate the highest and oftentimes, they have difficulty choosing just one.
Take Best Pizza in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It’s owned by a host of Vice’s Munchies and serves a simple selection of old-school style pies and slices. Then there’s Bleeker Street Pizza in Greenwich Village, voted “Best Pizza in NY” by Food Network, famous for their Tuscan-style pizza called the Nonna Maria. Kesté Pizza & Vino, on the other hand, is also in the Village but specializes in crust that’s made with 00 flour and lightly fried.
The city is home to many types of pizza, all of which have their own benefits. That’s the beauty of taking a pizza tour in NYC. You can enjoy a selection of New York’s best pizzas and relish in the unique characteristics that each one brings to the table. Not only that, but a pizza tour in NYC means you receive guidance from the experts of New York pies rather than trying to guess the best slice on your own.

As such, we will be trying pizza that has been inspired by all the different cultures such as Lebanese pizza, Beijing Pizza, Italian Pizza and German Pizza. - We'll finish up our pizza tasting adventure with both a delightful twist on a New York classic — a "white slice" with pepperoni, along with our most classic slice, a delectable rift on the timeless classic Margherita.
- Along the way, your guide will share with you some of the East Village's secret history and how it has changed over time. One thing that has remained unchanged is its incredible artistic and food culture!
- Oh, and, of course, what would savory be without a little sweet? We end our tour with a Bavarian cream tart from one of the city's oldest and most renowned Italian bakeries.

We chose the East Village district for our New York City pizza tour because of the area's diverse immigrant community, deep-rooted history, artistic slant, and its eternal magnetism. Since the neighborhood was born of farmland, some of its green space harkens back to that simpler time. Throughout the generations, the backgrounds of its citizens have changed, but what remains is a mosaic of diverse cultures, the arts, and a food scene second to none! There is no shortage of history here either! Historic landmarks, parks, and buildings abound, and if you remember New York City in its cultural heyday, you can still find a snapshot of that bygone time here in the East Village.

PizzaVillage @ Home 2022 concludes the tour
Pizzavillage@home 2022.
The third edition of Coca-Cola PizzaVillage @ Home 2022 ended with the Milan stage from 17 to 20 November The results, once again, tell of a success of the initiative, with the sold out recorded in all the cities touched by the tour between March and November: Palermo, Padua and Bologna. In fact, thousands of pizzas arrived at Italian homes and thousands of those delivered to the most needy through the Banco Alimentare: 7,500 in Palermo, 7,000 in Padua, 6,500 in Bologna and 15,000 in Milan . But the success did not stop the organizers already at work for the 2023 edition.
The many opportunities
PizzaVillage @ Home 2022 is a version of Pizza Village https://www.pizzavillage.it/ , an event born on the Naples seafront and the largest in the world dedicated to pizza. The project, conceived and born in 2020, is based on an innovative format capable of reaching many more people. A unique opportunity to appreciate, taste and compare the specialties of the best Pizza Masters in some Italian cities. Everything starts from the ovens and workbenches of the production hubs set up in the cities involved. From here the pizzas, thanks to the Glovo riders, official delivery partner of the initiative, arrive on the table in a few minutes accompanied by special boxes with products and gadgets. PizzaVillage @ Home 2022 is an idea born and developed by Oramata Grandi Eventi, former producers of the Pizza Village, and by Aadv Entertainment. The two companies were able to face the difficulties, but also to develop the opportunities of a project that was immediately appreciated by both the public and the partners who have grasped its potential.
The 2023 tour adds new stops
From the 15,000 pizzas baked in 2020 on the occasion of the first edition with the single stop in Milan, in fact, it has gone up to over 19,000 produced in the three stages of the 2021 tour, up to 36,000 pizzas delivered this year. The PizzaVillage @ Home 2022 tour crossed Italy, touching four cities, from south to north, with a full house, even with presales. The Masters Pizzaiuoli are already at work for the new combinations and new trends on the doughs of the next PizzaVillage @ Home 2023. Edition that promises to be even richer and even more present on the national territory. In fact, stages are planned that will pass through Sicily, Puglia, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto and Piedmont.

Williamsburg staple the Commodore has opened a second location in the East Village this week, 14 Avenue C, at East Second Street; co-owner Taylor Dow first announced the news last summer. The original Commodore opened back in 2010 — at a time when Williamsburg was a very different neighborhood. Over the years, the bar has become a staple watering hole, known for tropical drinks, nachos, and fried chicken sandwiches (that Bon Appétit bestowed the best in “probably the world.” ) Commodore II is the first Manhattan project for Dow and co-owner Chis Young, who, over the past decade has specialized in Brooklyn spots including Bushwick’s El Cortez (which opened in 2015 before closing during the pandemic), followed by the Drift , which opened in Greenpoint in 2017, with a ski lodge theme and remains open. Operating hours in the East Village will be 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, until 4 a.m. on Thursdays and Fridays; the bar will open at 11 a.m. for brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Lucia Pizza adds a Soho bakery and wine bar
Lucia Pizza started in Sheepshead Bay in 2022, before expanding recently with a second location in Soho. Owner Salvatore Carlino, who grew up in the family pizza business, before going off on his own, is now trying something new. On April 4, he will open Lucia Alimentari , attached to the Soho slice shop, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. He’s beginning with Intelligentsia coffee, baked goods, a daily sandwich menu, and retail. The plan is to have rotating bakers, starting with Marisa Akemi Nakamura, an alum of the Smile, who will be in residence for the next three months. Once the wine and beer approval fully kick in, starting at 5:30 p.m. the space will transform into a bar, with a bottle list helmed by John Edward Burch, a somm at Restaurant Daniel. The nighttime menu might include personal pies or lardo, Grub Street reports . The space was designed by Safwat Riad, known for “setting the tone” at top nightlife spots throughout New York.
Meat Hook opens another Brooklyn butcher shop
Williamsburg’s whole-animal butcher, the Meat Hook, has opened at 301 Sackett Street, near Court Street, in Carroll Gardens — hoping to fill a void following the closure of the local butcher, G. Esposito & Sons, in 2023 . Meanwhile, the team is gearing up for their first outpost upstate , on Hudson’s main drag on Warren Street.
A Swedish candy store has expanded
BonBon, a store that started on the Lower East Side — and has had a hand in making Swedish candy “inescapable” , before expanding to the Upper East Side and Williamsburg — has added another location, now in Red Hook. The storefront, at 66 Degraw Street, near Van Brunt, functions as its warehouse headquarters during the week, but the team is opening its doors Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for shopping. On Sundays, Swedish-style hot dogs will also be offered.

After visiting florence, head to this medieval village to experience the tuscan countryside.

The countryside of Tuscany is littered with small, gorgeous medieval villages, such as Castelfalfi ... [+] (pictured here) and San Gimignano.
Italy has long been the darling of American travelers, ranking at or near the top of the most popular European destinations for folks traveling from the States.
It makes sense, given that nearly 18 million Americans identify as having Italian heritage, with a majority living in and around the cities of the northeast, where direct flights across the Atlantic are easy to come by.
Rome has traditionally been the go-to city in Italy, but Florence has been climbing the list of late, not only for its Renaissance history and arts, but for its easy-to-access (and gorgeous) countryside.
The Tuscan countryside is home to rolling hills, vineyards, castles, and medieval villages, and it’s just an hour or two’s drive from Florence, depending on your exact destination.
While the city has much to offer in the way of arts and culture, it has grown crowded and busy . The optimal combination, in my view, is to spend a couple days in Florence to check it out, then jet off to the countryside for a more relaxed pace.
Couples and families alike will appreciate the space, as well as the myriad activities and lodging that incorporate food, wine, art, history, and relaxation.
How to Structure Your Trip
Whenever you’re planning a trip that contains both city and countryside visits, always hit the city first. Do it the other way, and the crowds, noise, and density of the city can be a big shock when returning from the countryside.

Land in Florence, check it out for a few days, then head out to the countryside of Tuscany. Rent a car on the day you plan to leave Florence - you’ll definitely want a car to explore the countryside, but you won’t need it your first few days in the city.
The village of Castelfalfi, set atop a hill and surrounded by agricultural land in the countryside ... [+] of Tuscany.
Overview of Tuscany
Tuscany refers to an entire region in western central Italy. Overall, it is a prosperous agricultural area, famous for its wine, olives, and local food products.
Its capital city, Florence, is known as a hub of Renaissance art and culture, including the Statue of David and the Uffizi Gallery. There are about a million people living in the greater Florence metropolitan area.
Once you get outside of Florence, the region is comprised of smaller cities and villages, some dating well back to the Middle Ages. You may recognize some other infamous areas of Tuscany, such as Pisa and its leaning tower. But you will also discover many other gems that are relatively unknown to American travelers.
Things to Do/Places to Visit in Tuscany
Tuscany as a region is very large - about 9,000 square miles in total. So, you can’t expect to visit all of it in one trip. However, by using Florence as a hub, you have the chance to make a pretty good dent and see what makes the region so special.
Florence : Capital city of Tuscany with endless arts, history, and culture surrounding the Italian Renaissance period. Great place to sample a wide variety of Tuscan food and wine from some of the region’s best chefs.
Pisa : Known to Americans for its famous leaning tower, the city of Pisa is less than 90 minutes from Florence. Built around the Arno River, it is located just six miles from the coast (Ligurian Sea). While inland you may focus on pasta and meat, here you can experience many Italian seafood dishes.
San Gimignano : This medieval village is surrounded by a 13th-century wall and is a wonderful introduction to the “hill towns” of Tuscany. That is, small villages built and positioned on the top of hills for their sense of security and defensive positioning. Today, that translates into peaceful and restorative views in every direction. Hill towns are found all throughout this area of Tuscany, but the services found in them vary greatly. San Gimignano is great for first-time visitors due to its abundance of historic buildings, museums, restaurants, shops, and tours.
Wine Tours and Tastings : If you make it out of Tuscany without touring a wine castle or doing a tasting from atop a hillside, then you’ve probably tried pretty hard to avoid it. Serious wine drinkers will map out a route to visit all their favorites; more casual tasters just looking for the local experience can throw a dart and end up happy.
Farm Tours : There are a wide variety of farms to visit, many offering unique and special experiences that go well beyond a simple farm tour. From hiking with alpacas to “pasta farms,” olive orchards, and cheese manufacturers, visiting a farm not only gives you the chance to see the process, but to taste it fresh from the source as well. Check out these farm tours as examples and inspiration.
After the truffle hunting experience, Castelfalfi can prepare the truffles you find and incorporate ... [+] them into your evening dishes.
Truffle Hunting : Last but definitely not least, make sure to experience a truffle hunt while in Tuscany. The hunts take place all year round for the most part; however, the type of truffle you find will vary throughout the year. The infamous black truffle, for example, is found between June and November, while the prized white truffle is September to December. All hunts are conducted with dogs and are extremely family friendly, offering a glimpse of this highly-competitive industry and the chance to meet local characters who have mastered the art of the hunt.
What to Eat in Tuscany
Don’t overthink this question - you’re in Italy, after all. Eat everything you come across, and you’ll end up happy in the end. Tuscany is a region bursting with farms and local producers, and you can taste the heart and soul that goes into the local products, whether it’s fresh pasta, cheese, bread, vegetables, olive oil, truffles, or gelato.
That said, there are some regional dishes to try. Check out these specialties in Florence , and these staples out in the countryside . Game meats are also very popular throughout Tuscany, so keep an eye out.
What to Drink in Tuscany
The countryside outside of Florence is the home of Chianti, one of the most notable wines of Italy. Here you will find a few different growing regions centered around Chianti, especially to the west and south of the city.
Chianti is a very traditional wine, and its appeal in this region continues today. It is not a grape itself; rather, Chianti refers to a unique blend, made mostly of the Sangiovese grape, which grows abundantly in this part of Tuscany.
The Sangiovese grape is also used to create other local favorites, such as Brunello di Montalcino (red) and Vin Santo (dessert wine). You can read the full list of grapes and wines produced in this region here .
Where to Stay in Tuscany
There are many, many options when it comes to where to stay, from inns in small villages to wine resorts and everything in between. If you’re looking for something with a good mix of it all - location, amenities, nearby activities, and scenic beauty - consider basing yourself in the village of Castelfalfi .
Located a little more than an hour from both Florence and Pisa, Castelfalfi offers a great location in the heart of Chianti country. Day trips to Pisa, San Gimignano, and nearby local wineries and farms are easy, with scenic drives up and over beautiful vistas.
Perhaps the best attribute of Castelfalfi is that you can experience many of the discussed Tuscan offerings without getting in your car.
View of the terrace and sunset from the rooms in the main building of Castelfalfi.
Castelfalfi is itself a medieval village, with cobblestone streets, stone buildings, gardens, vistas, a castle, and a church. Also in the village are small shops and apartments. While it does not have the buzz of a larger village like San Gimignano, many consider this ideal for its relaxed, peaceful setting. In total, the property sprawls more than 2,700 acres across several hillsides.
Wine tasters will like Castelfalfi’s 25-hectare vineyard and barrel room, accessible via a hotel shuttle, where you can taste a lineup of local estate wines (as well as house-made olive oils). Also on property are multiple pools (including a brand-new infinity pool), spa, golf course, hiking trails, and adventure park for kids.
Amongst the myriad activities arranged by the hotel with local partners are truffle hunting and pizza making. Both are a must-do for everyone, but especially families. After you gather truffles, the kitchen at Castelfalfi can then prepare and incorporate them into your dinner that night.
The rooms and common areas of Castelfalfi are incredibly scenic, a well-earned respite for those who spend time in the busy streets of Florence prior to visiting the countryside.
The back terrace of the hotel features plenty of green space and gardens, along with panoramic views and many areas to sit and enjoy a drink or meal. Windows are a plenty, which pay homage to the village’s roots as an old tobacco factory in the years after World War II (lots of windows were needed to dry the tobacco leaves).
The pool at Castelfalfi.
The on-site restaurants make trying local Tuscan favorites easy; many dishes are prepared using ingredients grown on property, including pasta, wood-fired pizza, fresh Tuscan bread, Florentine steak, and of course, organic wine and olive oil.
Castelfalfi, like many places, was closed during the pandemic, and soon after it went through a series of renovations, including new and refreshed rooms, a spa partnership with Thailand-based Rakxa, and a small, 22-seat restaurant inside the village’s castle. The property just fully reopened at the end of March.

Harry Styles' home village searching for experts to run tours for fans
Are you a Cheshire history buff with a passion for Harry Styles trivia? The singer's home village could have just the job for you.
Wednesday 3 April 2024 11:26, UK
A small Cheshire village is on the hunt for Harry Styles experts to lead tours for fans eager to see where the star grew up.
Holmes Chapel has seen an increase in fans "coming to pay homage" to the singer, according to the community group Holmes Chapel Partnership (HCP).
Now the group is looking for people with a "flair for storytelling" and a "good knowledge" of the village and its links to Styles to lead guided tours.
The new Harry's Home Village Tour will run on Saturday mornings in June and on weekdays in July, August and September.
Last year, the group published a safe walking route for fans to access Twemlow Viaduct, known as "Harry's Wall", after safety concerns about people crossing the busy A535 to get there.
The bridge was reputedly where Styles had his first kiss. In the This Is Us biopic, the singer returned there and scrawled his name on the wall - and hundreds of fans have since added their names.
But HCP includes a warning on its map telling fans the viaduct is a listed structure and defacing it with graffiti is a criminal offence.

Other spots on the tour will include Mandeville's Bakery, where Styles had a Saturday job before entering X Factor, and Fortune City Restaurant, where he once took Taylor Swift.
Fans will be able to take photos of themselves with the lifesize cardboard cutout of Styles that has a home in the bakery.
HCP is yet to reveal further details about how the tours will work and what they will cost fans to attend.
But the job advert promises flexible working hours and "competitive remuneration".

Experts Needed: Harry Styles' Hometown Is Hiring ‘Harry's Home Village' Tour Guides
The fangirl-to-music industry professional pipeline walked so that the fangirl-to-walking tour guide pipeline could run. Holmes Chapel Partnership - the community-run organization in the English town where Harry Styles grew up - is recruiting fans to guide visitors through their popular Harry Styles Walking Map, which highlights significant landmarks related to the musician.
"Even during the wet winter months, Harries have continued to visit, braving muddy banks and wet fields to pay homage at Harry's Wall," the organization's chairman Peter Whiers wrote in a newsletter. "Local businesses have seized the opportunity to cater to these visitors, with references to Harry in various locations around the village. But it is time for us to elevate our offerings and ensure that visitors have a truly memorable experience in the village which we are proud to call our own."
The official guided tour, aptly titled Harry's Home Village , was created in response to an uptick in visitors over the past year in particular. "With over 5,000 visitors and 4 TV crews making the pilgrimage to Holmes Chapel, Mandeville's, and the Twemlow Viaduct, our village has seen a significant increase in footfall," Whiers added.
In the next few weeks, Holmes Chapel Partnership will be on the hunt for the most ideal candidates for the role. The requirements listed on the job posting include: excellent communication and storytelling skills; an ability to lead and manage a group of tour participants; and a genuine interest in Holmes Chapel, its history and links to Harry Styles.
"We are particularly interested in recruiting Harry Styles fans aged 16+, but more senior individuals may also apply," Whiers wrote. "We are looking for candidates who can confidently lead a group with enthusiasm, whilst being organised, punctual and patient."
The tours will begin in June 2024 with sessions being held on Saturday mornings. The tour guides will work in pairs and trained to lead Styles fans - or Harries - in groups of up to 16 people through the walking map. The organization is expecting there to be "significant demand" in the coming months and is expected to add additional Saturday tours, and some weekday tours, throughout the summer.
"If you're ready to combine your love for Harry Styles with a rewarding job as a tour guide in Holmes Chapel, apply now," the job listing urges. Applications will close on April 15 - Harries, get ready to update your LinkedIn.

Wanted: Harry Styles experts to guide tours of star’s home village
Holmes Chapel to hold day of auditions for tour guides after thousands of fans make pilgrimage to Cheshire village
A Cheshire village that has been swamped by young visitors has appealed for tour guides with a very specific skill set: an expert knowledge of Harry Styles .
More than 5,000 fans – known as Harries – have descended on the quaint community of Holmes Chapel in the last year in a pop pilgrimage to the singer’s home town.
Some were said to be “risking life and limb” to visit the site of Styles’s first kiss, a railway viaduct near a notoriously busy main road, prompting villagers to publish a self-guided tour map last year.
Now local people have decided to go one step further. The Holmes Chapel Partnership, a community group, has announced that it is launching its own official tours and is looking for Styles superfans to lead them.
The demand for the coveted roles is expected to be so great that the village will host an audition day later this month, presumably in the style of The X Factor on which Styles rose to fame.
Peter Whiers, the group’s chair, said they hoped to hire Harries aged over 16, but that “more senior individuals may also apply”.
Whiers said the influx of Harries from across the world had led to a business boom in Holmes Chapel, including at the bakery where Styles worked part-time before finding fame with One Direction.
The store, W Mandeville’s, has a lifesize cardboard placard of their most famous ex-employee holding a white loaf – which, predictably, has become its bestselling item.
The tour will also take in Styles’s former schools, the terraced cottage where he grew up, and the nearby Chinese restaurant where he once took Taylor Swift.
But the biggest draw is Twemlow Viaduct, an otherwise unremarkable railway bridge where Styles reputedly had his first kiss.
The structure – known to fans as “Harry’s Wall” – is also where Styles scrawled his name during a biopic released in 2013.
Since then fans from as far afield as Australia, the US and Mexico have travelled to the usually muddy field in south Cheshire to write their name alongside their idol.
The Holmes Chapel Partnership warned last year that fans were “risking life and limb” by crossing a busy main road to get to Harry’s Wall, as they released a safety-approved map for intrepid visitors.
Whiers said they were expecting “significant” demand for the new tours, which are expected to begin in June and run until September. He added: “Even during the wet winter months, Harries have continued to visit, braving muddy banks and wet fields to pay homage at Harry’s Wall.”

Sights of Elektrostal: the history of the city, what to see, photos and reviews
Table of contents:, history of the city, attractions, engineering plant, church of the righteous john of kronstadt, city recreation and culture park, cinema gallery, avangard paintball club.

Elektrostal is a fairly large industrial city, which is located near the Vokhonka River and almost 40-50 km from the eastern part of Moscow. There are a lot of powerful factories here, where many residents of Elektrostal work. They are perfectly combined with the most beautiful green boulevards, streets and parks, bright lawns and flower beds that adorn almost the entire town. It is picturesque due to amazing reservoirs and forests. It is worth learning more about the main attractions of Elektrostal, photos of which are in the article.
The city was founded in 1916 thanks to the construction of a metallurgical plant. Previously, this place was the natural boundary of Calm. To start construction, the labor of local peasants was used. In the middle of 1925 herebuilt the first railway line that connected Elektrostal with Moscow. After the onset of 1938, the village turned into a separate city.
It is noteworthy that during the Great Patriotic War, the Electrostal plants produced ammunition that was needed for victory. In particular, it is worth noting the production of the legendary Katyushas.
A new stage for the factories of the city began after the invention of atomic weapons. The local plant was on the list of the main production facilities of the nuclear industry. This led to the fact that in 1954 the production of fuel was launched, which was used for the operation of nuclear power plants.
In 1963, the cultural center "October" was built, and this was done by the masters of the Novo-Kramatorsky plant, named after Stalin. It featured a spacious auditorium that could seat more than 850 people, as well as a unique revolving stage for actors to change scenery in seconds.
At different times, eminent creative groups performed in this cultural center, as well as the Beryozka ensemble, famous at that time. It is noteworthy that even in our time the cultural center is actively functioning, and the square in front of it is considered the most beautiful place in Elektrostal with fountains operating in the summer. In mid-2013, it received the status of a city of labor and military glory.
There are many numerous monuments in the city that tell about the history of this amazing place: a monument to Nikolai Vtorov -the founder of the famous plant "Elektrostal" near the House of Culture, a monument to Tevosyan - the chief engineer, monuments to M. Gorky and K. Marx, a sculpture "Steelworker", a monument to Korneev - Hero of the Soviet Union, as well as a memorial and a monument to soldiers who died in Afghanistan and on North Caucasus.
This is a fairly large and old factory in the city that specializes in the production of fuel for local gas stations. The plant is part of the structure of the company FC "TVEL" of the state corporation "Rosatom". The General Director of the enterprise is O. L. Sedelnikov.
This plant produces nuclear fuel, which is used by many nuclear power plants, transport power plants and research reactors, not only in Russia, but also in other European countries. The company has quality certificates OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001.
The museum of the plant presents its history, shows old photographs of the streets of the city, there are achievements of workers, as well as photos of significant people, there are many of the most interesting models produced at the machine-building plant. It also stores presentations showing the principles of the enterprise.
This temple - a landmark of Elektrostal - is a single-dome centric church, which is made in the style of Byzantine times. It was erected in the 20th century, in the immediate vicinity of St. Andrew's Church. The temple was designed by T. V. Trubnikov and V. A. Drozdov, according to the developments of which the iconostasis and interior were exactly designed.
The church plays the role of a baptismal church and belongs to the Moscow diocese. The main shrines of the church are the most ancient and valuable icons of Nikandor Gorodnoyezersky and the Great Martyr Panteleimon. In addition, particles of the relics of saints are kept here. Divine services are held in the temple only during religious holidays.
The local park - a landmark of Elektrostal is an ideal place where everyone can stay alone with nature, ride numerous attractions, and also spend time playing slot machines. The park is especially popular in the summer - it is full of families, youth companies and couples in love.
Especially for the summer in 2013, the park was re-planned, which made it possible to accommodate more modern entertainment and interesting playgrounds for young visitors. Swimmers will love the dragon and swans, and trampolines have been installed for more active children.
It is noteworthy that the prices in the local park are quite affordable: the cost of a ticket for various attractions ranges from 30-100 rubles. Today it is called "Wonder Park", and it is divided into a quieter "Quiet Alley" and "Entertainment Alley", where there is an inexpensive cafe, a summer stage, and also quite a lot ofattractions.
This cinema is very popular, so it can be called a landmark of Elektrostal. It is located in the shopping center "Elgrad" and consists of 5 spacious halls that can accommodate more than 800 people. To show 2D and 3D films, only modern equipment is used: Dolby Digital Surround EX and MasterImage acoustics, as well as huge screens with a special coating. In all cinema halls, very comfortable conditions for visitors were created: climate control and soft chairs.
In the foyer of the Cinema Gallery there is a play area, a fairly spacious cafe, fast food establishments (Suneki, Tashir-pizza, Rostiks, Kebab-tun, etc.) and popcorn- bar. This is an attractive local leisure center, where the residents of Elektrostal are shown all the latest cinema.
This is a whole complex where you can spend your free time pleasantly and profitably. In addition to the playgrounds, which are fully equipped for playing laser tag and paintball, guests are invited to visit a local cafe where delicious home-cooked dishes are prepared, a banquet menu, karaoke, as well as a relaxing sauna with a warm font.
What do tourists who have visited the city say? It is not tourist, but industrial. Attractions are quite specific, but overall interesting. Tourists were pleased with low prices.
Looking at the photo of the sights of the city of Elektrostal, you may want to go there and spendunforgettable weekend.
