iCandy Peach 7 review

We put the all-terrain stroller to the test.

Tom's Guide Verdict

The iCandy Peach 7 has one of the easiest one-handed folds of all of the strollers we tested. It’s great if you’re already planning on expanding your brood, as it can be converted to a double pushchair, that said, it is pretty heavy when lifting in and out of the car, so might not be for everyone.

Easy one-handed fold

Carrycot suitable for overnight sleeping

Built-in buggy board

Can be converted to double or twin pushchair

Chassis has handy carry strap

Cannot be folded with either seat or carrycot attached

Material isn’t machine washable

Brake isn’t comfortable when wearing sandals

Why you can trust Tom's Guide Our writers and editors spend hours analyzing and reviewing products, services, and apps to help find what's best for you. Find out more about how we test, analyze, and rate.

The iCandy Peach 7 is a top-of-the-line, all-terrain stroller, that has been designed to grow with your family. It can easily be converted from a single to a double or twin pushchair, and is suitable from birth, until around age four. Plus, it looks beautiful and has an excellent one-handed fold and handy carry strap to make carting the pushchair around that little bit more enjoyable.

Stroller weight: 16 lb- 27.5 lb (Chassis and seat) Max weight: 55 lb (From birth to around age 4) Handlebar height: 37- 41 inches Underseat basket capacity: 11 gallons

That said, all of this comes at a price, and this is definitely one of the more expensive strollers on the market. You might be wondering how it compares to some of the best strollers on the market, including the all-terrain Bugaboo Fox 5 . To find out more, we put the iCandy Peach 7 through several different tests to look at the build quality and maneuverability on different terrains. I wanted to see how easy it was to get the stroller in and out of my car boot, on and off the bus, and around a muddy dog walk. Read my iCandy Peach 7 review below to find out more.

iCandy Peach 7 review: Price and availability

The iCandy Peach 7 is the updated version of the iCandy Peach 6 — in fact, the Peach line has been around for years and is one of the brand’s most popular strollers, due to the fact it handles just about everything you chuck at it, including a second baby. The Peach 6 and the Peach 7 are pretty similar, but iCandy made a few tweaks to make the newer pushchair more useful — they added a built-in buggy board, for example, which is handy when your tot decides they no longer want to walk.

The stroller was released in Spring 2022 and is available from iCandy directly, as well as third-party retailers. The pushchair comes in a number of different colorways to suit every style — at the time of writing, it’s available in Grey, Jet Black, Truffle, Biscotti, Cookie and Blush.

There’s no doubt about it, this is a luxury stroller and doesn’t come cheap. The most popular bundle on offer includes all the accessories you could ever need, including a cup holder and a changing bag, and costs $1358/£1249. However, unlike some of the other strollers on the market, the Peach 7 comes with a five-year warranty.

iCandy Peach 7 review: Design and key features

Build

I’ll start with how easy it was to physically put the pushchair together — it’s a job you’ll inevitably end up doing when you’re pregnant, so you want as smooth a job as possible. I was six months pregnant when I attempted to construct the iCandy Peach 7 alone in our testing center, and as someone who struggles with flatpack furniture, I was dreading the job when I saw the size of the box.

Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised — the main chassis of the Peach 7 comes already assembled, all you need to do is clip the rear wheels into place, and you’re good to go. The next part is assembling the bassinet or seat — they both use the same frame, so you won’t be able to switch between the two, unless you buy a second, for a second child.

I started by constructing the bassinet, as this is, inevitably, the part of the pushchair you’d build first. I didn’t find the instructions that useful, and did end up finding a YouTube video to watch. I also skipped ahead and had to try and deconstruct the frame at one point, which I needed to find a hex key for, as it didn’t come with the pushchair. That said, once it was constructed, the fleece-lined bassinet seemed super-cozy, plus it’s approved for overnight sleeping, which is handy when visiting grandparents. I did notice it was a little fiddly getting the baby in and out of the bassinet with the bumper bar and cover still attached, but again, this isn’t the end of the world.

A week later, I switched the bassinet to the seat, and again, had to dig out that all-important hex key, but didn’t have any major issues constructing the seat for the stroller. It’s a little fiddly, but was comparable to other pushchairs on the market like the Bugaboo Fox 5. I appreciated that the seat can be either forward or rear-facing.

Key design features

iCandy has thought of everything when it comes to the design of the Peach 7. I really appreciated the luxurious fabrics used — the pushchair looks and feels beautiful, and super-sturdy when pushing it around. iCandy made the suspension slightly softer on the Peach 7 than it was on the Peach 6, and it felt nice to push, both when going up and down kerbs and through a woodland path.

The built-in buggy board is a nice touch, as is the zipped pocket on the back of the seat for your essentials, and the extenders to raise the seat higher, meaning it’s easier to feed your tot when sat at a table. The extendable hood is also ample and has a vent for warmer days. The only downside I found with the seat is that it isn’t machine washable — iCandy recommends you use a damp cloth to clean the seat, but if you’re worried about stains, I’d opt for a darker color.

The Peach 7 has an easy-to-use, one-handed fold, that is actually one-handed, compared to some of the other strollers on test. That said, you cannot fold the pushchair with either the bassinet or seat attached, and you’ll need two hands to detach this first. A huge game changer, and a design feature I loved when testing some of the best strollers on the market, was the built-in handle, which makes carrying the chassis of the stroller far easier. It’s unlikely you’ll ever have to carry the stroller long distances, but this did make carrying the Peach 7 with a bag of shopping or a car seat a lot easier.

iCandy Peach 7 review: Performance

The iCandy Peach 7 handled beautifully during testing. As mentioned above, I tested the stroller on muddy forest paths, grass, concrete sidewalks, and even sand, and found that the iCandy’s suspension was one of the best on test. I even lined up cones to imitate pushing the stroller around a cramped shop and was impressed with how easy it was to maneuver, despite its bulk.

The only downside I found from a performance perspective, and I’m being really picky here, is that the brake wasn’t sandal-proof — you push down on the brake to lock the wheels and have to click up on it from below to unlock the wheels. This means if you’re wearing sandals, or you’re wearing box-fresh white sneakers on a muddy day, your foot or shoe is likely to get mucky.

Compared to the Bugaboo Fox 5, I loved how easily the chassis of the pushchair stood up on its own when folded. There’s a clip to hold the frame together and prevent it from coming unfolded. Although it wasn’t the lightest to list, the chassis fit nicely in the boot of my Kia Sportage, and as mentioned above, the carry handle is genius.

I was really impressed with the large basket, which has a clever drainage hole, which definitely comes in handy on wet days when you’re likely to be chucking wet umbrellas and shopping bags in.

Like other strollers, you’ll also need to buy separate car seat adaptors to use the iCandy Peach 7 as a travel system.

iCandy Peach 7: Verdict

The iCandy Peach 7 is a fantastic, all-terrain stroller, that has an awful lot of versatility thanks to the fact it can easily convert to a double stroller when you need it to. It looks beautiful to push around and is built to last with a sturdy, high-end design. The little extras like the built-in buggy board make this an obvious choice if you’re expecting more than one baby, or adding to your brood in the next few years.

That said, if you’re living in a city, I wonder if you’re better off going with something slightly smaller and lighter than the iCandy Peach 7, which is pretty bulky and heavy. If you need an all-terrain stroller, however, this will handle everything you chuck at it, you just need to decide whether you mind not being able to fold it down with the seat still attached.

iCandy Peach 7 pushchair review

iCandy Peach 7 Header Image

  • Cher Whelan

For single pushchair

In a nutshell

Latest version of this stylish single-to-double classic, the Peach 7 is easy to fold, has a large basket and offers new improved features including integrated buggy board – but still comes with a rather chunky chassis

What we tested

  • Built-in buggy board, converts easily to a double, 22 different seat configurations, smooth ride, large basket, easy to fold, large hood, carrycot suitable for overnight sleeping
  • Chassis is quite heavy, only folds with seat removed, material isn’t machine washable, expensive, brakes not flip flop friendly, not so easy to manoeuvre in double mode

iCandy is a brand renowned for designing high-performance pushchairs that look the part too. If you’re after a pushchair that will grow with your family, then iCandy aim to have you covered with the latest version of their ever-popular single-to-double pushchair, the Peach 7.

Outshining its predecessor, the Peach 6, the latest version oozes luxury with its sophisticated design and, though it is on the expensive side, it really delivers.

Boasting a fancy built-in ride-on board – a dream come true to parents of a toddler or pre-schooler plus a newborn – as well as improved suspension, a longer seat, adjustable head hugger and easy-fastening harness, it ticks a lot of boxes for parents looking for quality, safety and style. However, pricewise, it definitely sits at the premium end of the pushchair market. In its single mode, it's similar in price to the Bugaboo Fox 5 , £1,115, and the Egg2 , £1,108, and is certainly a considered purchase, but it packs a lot into the bundle to justify the price.

Cher Whelan is a journalist and lives in Kent with her husband and two children. She tested the iCandy Peach 7 with her 2-year-old son, and 4-month-old daughter, using the carrycot and seat in single mode, and 2 seats in double mode.

Cher testing iCandy Peach 7 with baby and toddler

What were your first impressions?

Very good! Immediately I was really impressed with how the iCandy Peach 7 looked – the material felt soft and luxurious. I also instantly loved how spacious the basket underneath was – it looked like there would be plenty of room for shopping bags, which is always a bonus.

The iCandy Peach 7 includes lots of matching accessories that come as part of the Complete Bundle (including a changing bag, cup holder, parasol, footmuff, canopy and raincover). It also comes with car seat adaptors and seat extenders. With all the accessories, I felt it was really good value for such an impressive looking pram.

How easy is the iCandy Peach 7 to build?

Pretty straightforward. My iCandy Peach 7 Complete Bundle arrived in two large boxes; the chassis was really simple to put together and I just needed to attach the rear wheels. The instructions were very easy to follow, and I was able to put the carrycot and seat unit together within about 10 minutes each. The instructions made it clear how to change the configurations of baby and toddler seat with the adaptors, and they also explained how to fold and unfold the pushchair.

How does the iCandy Peach 7 differ to the Peach 6?

The Peach 7 is essentially still the same pushchair as the Peach 6, just with a few additional tweaks which make it more functional for parents.

  • In-built ride-on board – in my opinion, this is a gamechanger for parents with a toddler. My 2-year-old son prefers to walk alongside the buggy instead of being strapped into a seat, but he often gets tired. I currently use a buggy board with a seat that attaches to my pram, but I find it bulky, awkward to walk with and difficult to manoeuvre the pram. The in-built standing board on the Peach 7 imeans I can still manoeuvre the pram without tripping over anything.

Cher pushing iCandy Peach 7 with toddler on buggy board

  • Removable rear seat pocket on the seat unit – this is perfect for storing your purse, phone and keys when you don’t want to take a handbag out with you. And the new and improved seat harness enables you to adjust the straps on the seat unit and buckle up your child more easily.
  • Updated carrycot approved for overnight sleeping – this makes the Peach 7 a convenient choice for overnight stays.

What do you think of the iCandy Peach 7 carrycot?

Measuring 88cm in length, the carrycot is suitable from birth to 6 months, so there is plenty of growing room for baby. My 4-month-old daughter seems to find the carrycot really comfortable, and she has plenty of space too, so I expect it to last the full 6 months.

The carrycot is fleece lined, which makes it cosy, and the mattress (which also feels really soft) comes with a breathable cover. I did the breathability test on the mattress and the sides of the carrycot by placing my mouth against the material and taking a few breaths, and I found I could still breathe, which obviously is reassuring.

One thing I did notice is that it’s quite difficult to put your baby into the carrycot with the bumper bar and cover still attached, and I found removing both singlehandedly while carrying my daughter a bit of a challenge. The zip on the cover is a little bit fiddly and can be tricky to access as it sits below the frame. I also found that when the bumper bar is in place, it does obscure my view of my daughter. Not a deal-breaker, but something to be aware of.

Having said that, the carrycot lifts off the chassis really easily – you simply unclick each side in turn – and the bumper bar enables you to lift it off single handedly, too. There are elevators included which you can clip onto the chassis so that the carrycot is raised, and your baby is closer to you, which is a thoughtful touch.

iCandy Peach 7 showing baby in carrycot

Is the iCandy Peach 7 carrycot safe for overnight sleeping?

Yes. I love that the carrycot has been approved for overnight sleeping, as it gives peace of mind that my baby is sleeping in a safe place. Usually, when my daughter falls asleep in her pram, I move her into her cot as soon as we get home, but with the Peach 7, I felt confident leaving her to sleep in the carrycot without any worries.

What do you think of the seat unit on the Peach 7?

My toddler son seems really comfortable in the seat unit – it’s cushioned for extra comfort and the material is soft, so I’m not surprised! The footmuff that comes as part of the complete bundle is fleece lined too, which makes it nice and cosy when the temperature is cooler.

I found the harness easy to adjust – you simply pull and slide the head support pillow, behind the seat, to adjust it to one of three height options. The seat unit can also be reclined to four different positions, which is great if your child wants to nap on the go, and it can also be reclined while in double mode.

The seat can also be used with the elevators to raise you baby or child closer to you, which is great for interaction or when you’re eating out and want your baby high up at the table with you.

The only downside is that the seat cover isn’t machine washable. iCandy advises cleaning the seat unit and the carrycot with a damp cloth, however my son can make quite a lot of mess when eating in the pram, so this isn’t ideal. I think stains are likely to occur with long term use, without a machine wash.

iCandy Peach 7 with 2 pictures showing Cher pushing toddler

What age is the iCandy Peach 7 suitable for?

With the addition of the carrycot, you can use this pushchair from birth, and the seat unit has a recommended maximum weight usage of 25kg in single use (though worth noting it's 15kg when used as a double). My son is 2 and fits comfortably in the seat. Having said that, he is not particularly tall for his age, and I definitely can’t see him still fitting in this seat when he is 5 – although he probably wouldn't want to still be in a buggy at that age.

Picture showing baby in seat unit of iCandy Peach 7

How easy is it to convert the carrycot to the seat unit?

I was very surprised by just how simple it is to convert the carrycot to a seat unit. The process took me under 10 minutes, and I didn’t even need to refer to the instructions as it was so straightforward.

Start by removing the bumper bar and hood (unclick the hood from each side and then unzip it from the frame), then – after unzipping and unpopping the carrycot material from the frame – just collapse the supports down and unhook them to remove everything. Then, you simply just zip the seat unit to the frame and pop the poppers up, reattach the bumper bar and pop the hood back on and zip it to the frame. And that’s it! So simple and stress free.

How do you convert the Peach 7 from single to double or twin mode?

I found the Peach 7 so simple and quick to convert and it was pretty self explanatory:

  • You need to first attach the adaptors to the chassis. There are 4 adaptors and they are clearly labelled FR, FL (front right and front left), and RR, RL (fear right and rear left)
  • Click the carrycot into the rear adaptors
  • Attach the seat unit to the additional frame
  • Fit the seat to the chassis using the elevator adaptors

To convert the Peach 7 to twin mode with two seat units:

  • Unzip the carrycot material from the frame and zip the additional seat unit to it instead
  • Use the front and rear adaptors, the elevators and the original central plugs on the chassis to choose a configuration that suits you

How effective is the hood on the Peach 7?

I found the hood really sturdy and – bonus points – it can be collapsed with one hand. It is SPF50+ and water repellent too. I particularly like the breathable mesh panel that can be accessed by lifting part of the hood up – often, breathable panels on prams can look untidy, but iCandy have done it really well as the material folds up neatly to expose the panel. The hood also extends further simply by unzipping it, which creates extra shade for baby.

iCandy Peach 7 carrycot with hood up and down

Does the Peach 7 fold with the seat on?

No, the Peach 7, like its previous versions, can only be folded in two parts – you remove the seat or carrycot first and then fold the chassis. A two-part fold is great when picking up a pushchair to put in a car boot, as it's lighter to pick up in two pieces. However, the downside is that it can be bulkier to store than pushchairs that fold with the seat on and there are two big parts to store at home rather than one.

How easy is the iCandy Peach 7 pushchair to fold?

The Peach is famous for its one-handed fold and the Peach 7 doesn’t disappoint.

  • As a two-part fold you have to remove the carrycot or seat unit first
  • You also need to remove any adaptors or elevators from the chassis
  • Then simply press the trigger button on the handle and push down to collapse the chassis in one smooth move. It can take a little practise, but once you've got the knack, it's simple
  • Press a grey release button in the centre of the chassis and flick the frame open by the handle

I found it a breeze to fold and unfold and definitely one of my favourite things about the Peach 7.

How compact is the Peach 7 when folded?

The Peach 7 doesn't have a compact fold (L:70 x W:61 x H:29cm) but the chassis folds fairly neatly. You then have the seat or carrycot to add on top. It's similar to the Mamas & Papas Ocarro at L:76 x W:58 x H:37cm and the Cybex e-Priam at L:84.5 x W:51 x H:29cm, though both of these buggies fold with the seat on. You can make the fold slightly more compact (L:70 x W:54 x H:21cm) if you remove the wheel, but that's bit of a faff.

How do you fold it in double mode?

The Peach 7 can’t be folded with any of the units attached. So it is folded in the same way as it is in single mode. First, remove each seat unit by pressing the release buttons on either side and lifting off using the bumper bar. Then you need to remove the elevators, but you can leave all of the other adaptors in place. Then fold the chassis by pushing the handlebar down and lifting it with the strap in the storage basket.

Is the iCandy Peach 7 easy to carry and store?

The chassis self stands, which is useful for easy storage, and, although the chassis alone weighs 7.1kg, the shoulder strap makes it much easier to lift and carry.

How well does it fit in a car boot?

The Peach 7 does take up quite a lot of boot space as the chassis is fairly wide and you have to fit the carrycot, and/or seat unit in separately too. I found the Peach 7 fit in the boot of my car (Jaguar F-Pace) well, without much difficulty.

In double mode, I managed to fit both seat units and the chassis into the boot by placing everything onto its side. The boot of my car is quite spacious (650l) but I imagine it will be difficult to fit everything into a smaller boot space.

What’s the iCandy Peach 7 like to push and steer in single mode?

I found the Peach 7 easy to push on all types of terrain – I tested it on grass, bumpy and uneven pavements and pebbled pathways and it didn’t struggle at all. The PU tyres are puncture proof and really make light work of tricky terrain. The pram is quite heavy though, especially when my son is standing on the ride-on board too, so on tougher terrains, and up and down steep kerbs, I wasn’t able to push it single-handedly and needed a firm grip in order to manoeuvre it.

On smoother terrains, I found I could push it with just one hand. I did find that the cupholder got in the way though, especially when walking through doorways, as it does stick out quite a bit, but this is easily removable if it causes any bother.

How does it feel to push and steer on different terrains in double mode?

The Peach 7 is quite heavy in double mode, but I like how sturdy it feels. I tested it with my son and daughter (each in a seat unit) and was impressed that I could still manoeuvre the pram without any difficulty up and down curbs, and across bumpy terrains such as grass and uneven pavements.

However, when I tested it in a busy shopping centre, it was a little awkward to steer around stores and to weave in and out of clothing racks and stands. It was also difficult to fit into small lifts as the pram is quite long in double mode.

Peach 7 in double mode

Which double mode configurations did you test?

I tested the Peach 7 in several different configurations with the two seat units, some with the seats rear facing and some world facing.

My toddler prefers to be world facing, but I found that with both seats facing forward, it was difficult to interact with my children, particularly my toddler who was sat at the front as he felt so far away!

I also found that unless you are using the elevators, the seats sit too closely together and it doesn’t leave a lot of legroom for the child sitting in the back seat. It wasn’t a problem for my daughter who is 6 months old, as she only has short legs, but I imagine as she gets bigger, it won’t be very comfortable for her.

Without the elevators, there is a very limited view from the back seat too. Again, this isn’t such a big problem for my daughter at the moment, but as she gets older the restricted view might be an issue so I’ll have to make sure we always have the elevators with us.

It’s also worth noting that in double mode, access to the storage basket underneath is very limited and awkward which is such a shame as it’s such a spacious basket.

Peach 7 in different configurations

What is the chassis like?

The aluminium frame is strong and durable, and I really like the shiny finish which suits the pram’s chic style – although it does look like it could scratch easily. However, when folding the chassis, the frame doesn’t need to touch the ground as it self-stands and can be lifted with the strap, so this should save the frame from most unwanted marks.

Is the handle on the iCandy Peach 7 adjustable?

Yes. The handle height can be adjusted easily, simply by pressing the release button, and covers a range from 95cm to 105cm to cater for partners of different heights. The leatherette pushbar is comfortable to use and looks sophisticated, too – as you’d expect from the stylish Peach 7.

iCandy Peach 7 Handlebar

Do the iCandy Peach 7 brakes feel effective?

The brakes are easy to access, sitting to the right of the chassis, so I never found I ended up kicking them by accident.

However, to release the brake, you need to use the top of your foot to lift it up, which did cause a few dirty marks on my trainers, and definitely made them far from flip flop friendly.

How big is the iCandy Peach 7’s basket?

I’m really impressed with how spacious the basket is – it’s a 44-litre basket and can hold up to 10kg. It’s easily accessible too, but only when the extension adaptors are being used to raise the carrycot or seat unit.

Without the extension adaptors, the space between the carrycot or seat unit and the basket is very small, which makes it quite difficult to make full use of the space in the basket.

With the extension adaptors though, I found I could fit several shopping bags in the basket, plus my son’s scooter! The basket also has a drainage hole which I’ve never seen on a pram before, but I think it’s a really clever idea. It means that water can drain off the raincover, or if you put a wet umbrella in the basket, water won’t gather and collect.

Can the Peach 7 be used with a car seat to create a travel system?

Yes; the car seat adapters are included in the bundle, or you can buy them separately for £33. The adaptors are compatible with most popular brands of car seat including Maxi Cosi, Cybex and Joie. I currently use a Venicci car seat, which isn't compatible with this travel system, but iCandy has a full list of compatible car seats on their website, here , so you can check before you buy.

What’s in the box?

I tested out the iCandy Peach 7 Complete Bundle, £1,199, which included:

  • Carrycot fabric
  • Seat unit fabric
  • Carrycot/seat unit frame
  • Mattress liner
  • Car seat adaptors
  • Rucksack/changing bag
  • Screen (mesh fabric SPF 50+ pushchair cover)
  • Clamp (to attach the parasol or cup holder to the chassis)

What are the additional accessories you can buy?

I tried out the iCandy Peach 7 as part of a bundle, so didn’t need to buy any extras, however you can by the Peach 7 as a simple pushchair and carrycot set for £1,099 and buy all the accessories mentioned above, separately. This will work out a lot more expensive though.

What would you have liked to know before buying the iCandy Peach 7?

That it can easily be converted into a double or twin pushchair. That’s such a great feature which many parents with children close in age can take full advantage of and shows just how versatile the Peach 7 is.

Is the iCandy Peach 7 worth the money?

Although at £1,199 for the complete bundle or £1,099 for the carrycot and pushchair set, the Peach 7 is on the pricey side, I think it is worth every penny! Not only is it stylish, it has been built to last and make every outing with your child as easy and smooth as possible. Considering the carrycot can be used for permanent overnight sleeping too, the price is justified as it can double up as a travel cot or Moses basket for the first 6 months.

MadeForMums verdict:

Quite honestly, it’s difficult for me to find much that I really dislike about the iCandy Peach 7, because, in my opinion, it really does tick most boxes. I love how easy the pram can be converted into double or twin mode, and how easy it is to fold and unfold. However, it's not a light pushchair and only offers a two-part fold, which isn't compact, so not so good if you don't have much storage or boot space, or have to carry it up and down stairs.

The integrated ride-on board is a gamechanger for me, and I don't think I could go back to using a separate, detachable buggy board again.

Ultimately, it's a sturdy stylish and smooth-to-push buggy that's particularly good for parents with more than one child, and for those looking for a pram that will grow with their family.

The iCandy Peach

What they say:

“The iCandy Peach is famous for its one-hand fold and head-turning colours. The Peach can also upgrade into a double travel system to grow with your family. Moreover, unique iCandy elevators allow the single seat or carrycot to be positioned higher and closer to the parent. The elevators can also be used in world-facing mode to bring the child closer to the table, similar to a highchair. Crafted by iCandy's team of pioneering British designers, the iCandy Peach features beautiful details and design, along with a soft leatherette handle and bumper bar for that finishing, lasting touch.”

Tested by mum Brianne Hogg for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Oh yes, I would definitely recommend The iCandy Peach. I adore this pushchair! It is so easy to recline, to remove seat from base, and to fold the base. It looks fantastic and I feel great when pushing it around! It's relatively light but very easy to push one handed. It has good storage and it's easy to keep clean.

How did this product make your life easier?

It is so easy to push over a variety of surfaces and has great suspension, meaning the baby doesn't feel every bump. It has an extremely sturdy frame and the seat unit is very durable. It is easy to fold, it can be done with one hand if necessary but easier with 2. It folds relatively flat, although does take up some space in the car even when folded.

Would you choose this product to win?

It looks fantastic, feels fantastic to push and it's just so nice to take out. It is very comfortable for the children, my little boy doesn't whinge at all while in it which is so unusual for him! The recline positions are great, he likes to be really upright and some don't sit up enough for him.

What changes would you make to this product?

It is way too expensive! I know the saying 'you get what you pay for', and you do get a great product for the money, but lots of people, myself included, just couldn't afford it. It is difficult using such a nice pushchair but knowing that I could never afford to buy one. The price also doesn't even include the carry cot, which is then another added expense.

Tested by mum Louise Manners for the M&B Awards 2017:

Would you recommend The iCandy Peach to other mums?

I'd absolute recommend this pram, in fact I have! I love it. It seems to handle like a dream. I used it to walk amost 10 miles today, and I could actually push it (even uphill) with one finger, it's so light. It just feels sturdy and of excellent quality. I love the design, and the range of colours. It's very comfortable and the material it's made with are robust and expensive looking.

The iCandy Peach is so easy to use. I went shopping today and had the pram loaded with my 6 month old daughter, plus 3 bags of shopping, and all her changing things. Firstly, the area underneath is so big that this is the first pram I've been able to just plonk the whole bag into without having to empty it, and secondly, even with all that weight it can be pushed as though it's empty. Great for someone who's just had a baby.

A feature that really stood out for me is the fact that it can be changed into a tandem pram if I were to have another baby in the near future. This would mean I wouldn't have to go to the expense of buying a new one completely. It's very clever that the 'hood' of the carry cot has been utilised to also fit the pushchair seat as of course this only every needs changing over once. The space underneath is a winner. As is the design and colouring.

I would not like to change anything about The iCandy Peach!

Tested by mum Steph Bamber for the M&B Awards 2017:

I really enjoyed using The iCandy Peach for its aesthetics but also its comfort and pure quality. I felt you could tell just by looking at the frame and seat unit it is made of fantastic quality and design. I loved the vibrant colours which made it so eye catching, it's was so easy to use, compact and modern. I felt it was by worth worth the costing and I would pay the price with pleasure an recommend to fellow mums and friends.

I believe because this product is something you use every day and is made mode of transport for your baby it has to be versatile. The iCandy Peach is so compact, easy to fold up and down, an adjustable handle depending on height of the user, and a spacious basket. It's so comfortable to push and moves in every direction with complete ease.

The iCandy Peach was such a lovely and beautiful design with its vibrant colours, it really stood out. I loved the fabrics and how it felt as well as looked. It really caught other people’s attention when using out and about and I found fellow mums admiring it quite often. It is by far superior in design, comfort and quality.

The only thing would be is if the hood came down lower. When the seat unit is in the horizontal position sometimes the hold just doesn't seem to come down quite enough. When my little boy was asleep or in the pram for a considerable time, when I lifted him out the back of his head would sometimes be marked slightly. So maybe it could come with a comfortable liner for that slight extra comfort.

Tested by mum Kate White for the M&B Awards 2017:

I absolutely love The iCandy Peach. It's beautifully designed and I found it very practical too. This is a gorgeous pram and I got lots of compliments while I was out and about. I love how the base folds down so easily and it has a strap making it easy to carry. My daughter was really comfortable and fell asleep instantly in the recline position. The wheels are a good size and the frame is sturdy allowing for off road travel without too many bumps. The basket was a good size and easy to access.

I found this pram so easy to put up and down. The base was a little heavy but it folded down to a good compact size and fit on the back seat of my car. It comes in two halves making it easier to store if you have a smaller car. I loved the harness on this pram. I've found that she can open most of them these days but she didn't manage to fervour of this one! I didn't have to worry about her escaping and the pram was so sturdy I felt like she was safe and secure.

The iCandy Peach ticked all the boxes for me. It's aesthetically pleasing but also practical and sturdy. It's clear that it's made from good quality, solid materials and I felt confident that my baby was safe in it. The large wheels made it easy to steer and I found it comfortable and effortless to push.

I would change the price. I can see that it is good quality and that obviously comes with a hefty price tag but it's a lot to spend on a pushchair. The only other thing I would change is the weight of the chassis. It was a little on the heavy side although the carrying handle helped a lot as it made it easier to lift and move.

Tested by mum Jackie Littlewood for the M&B Awards 2017:

I found The iCandy Peach a pleasure to use. i'd recommend it due to how simple yet effective it is. It's very easy to get the hang of and use. It's one of the easiest ones to manage single handed. The design is lovely - bright colours always stand out in children's products. It transports well as it folds down quite small to fit into my car.

A lot of people commented on how lovely The iCandy Peach was when I was out and about with it. I've been able to walk quicker with it as it's light and straightens itself out - no wandering wheels. We had to change it around from front facing to back facing a few times today to keep the sun out of little one's face and it just clicks straight back into place without needing to move adapters around.

It definitely looks good. It's the style of pram I usually go for with the bright colours to keep the baby happy but also simple to use. There isn't much in the way of protecting the baby from the sun and wind - the cover is small. This would be fine for babies who can look about a lot but mine has a skin condition that means they could burn easily and this pram wouldn't help with that.

The only thing that could be added is maybe a cover for the storage space underneath. It's great that it's so big but things look as though they might either fall out or attract the attention of others to get pinched. I'd like a little roof on this section to hide my belongings and keep them in tighter. Also I would like there to be 2 hoods one for the carry cot and one for the pram bit.

iCandy Peach 3

The iCandy Peach 3 (usually stated just so, without the number) is the third generation of the most popular iCandy stroller - Peach , released in 2016. The handlebar and the bumper covered in leatherette was a 2016 addition. Using the Pip converter bars, this luxurious, variable stroller/stroller system transforms into a tandem for siblings. Compared to its predecessor, the second version , the Peach 3 features a new type of Pip converter bars that are in the form of individual elevators - instead of the previous double adapter with long bars. The extenders already come included with the Peach 3, but you can get them separately as well. You can use the new converters in the older Peach versions, but only those with shopping basket extenders. In the single mode, the converters elevate the seat for promoting the parent-baby bonding, or if you want to use the stroller as a highchair when eating out. In the tandem mode, they allow for more space between the seats and easier manipulation. Thanks to the individual adapters on the bottom of the second seat, the additional seat unit can be reversed to face the parent as well. The weight capacity is now even higher - up to 25kg per child.

The sturdy chassis is easily maneuverable even when fully loaded. You can choose the matt black or glossy chrome color of the chassis, matching the framing of the seat. The Peach 3 now features rubber rings on the handlebar for preventing scratching the stroller handle while folding. The wide wheels with new, dark spokes and a quality suspension system can handle even a more demanding, although predominantly urban terrain. Compared to other tandem strollers, the Peach 3 offers a rather compact, one-handed fold, even with one seat still attached (only forward-facing, however).

In the single stroller mode, the reversible seat unit can be tilted to a lying position. The leg rest is individually adjustable. By elevating the hood, you can increase the total space of the seat to accommodate even an older child. To create the desired combination, you have an option to purchase a carrycot and/or a car seat with adapters. Thanks to the memory buttons, you can remove the carrycot, the seat unit, and the car seat off the chassis easily, and even with one hand.

The sibling mode, also known as the Peach Blossom (3), is available separately or in the Blossom bundle, featuring two seat units and one carrycot. The Peach Twin set consists of two carrycots ad two seat units for twins right from birth. You can customize your Peach by purchasing the seat liners and other optional accessories available in a wide range of colors.

The iCandy Peach 3 was also released in many special Designer Collections (DC) such as the 2015 Classic Edition and the Black Edition with bold, orange wheels, the 2016 Midnight Edition in shades of dark blue and bronze accents, and the grayish 2017 Dusk Edition combining matt and glossy elements.

Your questions about the iCandy Peach 3

Hiya, does the main seat from Peach 1 and Peach 2 fit the base of the peach 3?

The attachment system hasn't really changed as far as I know, so in theory, yeah, the seat units should work - should click on those frames. That being said, I think that the design updates and a bit different shapes of the seats can change the center of gravity, or there can be details that can fit awkwardly. So while I think it should fit, the best is, actually, to ask the iCandy customer service or to try it out IRL.

Does the Peach 3 car seat have isofix?

The Isofix depends on the CAR SEAT, not the pushchair. You can attach multiple different brands of car seats on the frame. Depending on which car seat you will go for (or is in the set), you need to google the Isofix base for that particular car seat model. I cannot know which car seat you mean, but definitely try with identifying that. Most better brands, like Maxi-Cosi, Cybex, Kiddy, Recaro etc. that are compatible do have an Isofix base available to buy optionally.

How do I clean the pram seat units and is it possible to take the fabrics off?

I don't think you can remove all, I would say not even most of the fabric parts - they are meant to be hand washed. I wrote a full article about cleaning and maintaining your stroller HERE and it should help you with ways of doing that even without removal of the textiles - I mean, by machine washing, they anyhow can get badly damaged.

I have the iCandy Peach 3 in Truffle, I have a Maxi Cosy Cabrio car seat end adaptors. My son is one and I am expecting a newborn in 4 months so trying to get everything in place. If I am to have my newborn in her car seat on the pram, am I able to have my son in the pram too? I have a carry cot and main seat unit. I need a second seat unit, I am trying to buy one second hand however the one I have seen is a Blossom Truffle lower seat unit would this be compatible with what I have? Thanks

Hi, Hannah,

I'll start at the end and say YES, a different color Peach 3 second seat WILL be compatible with your iCandy Peach 3 Truffle. So go on, any Peach 3 will do, and you'll save money like this while mixing and matching cool colorways. 😊

To the parts compatibility, I attach an official iCandy picture with all the Peach 3 configs. In the right top corner, you see what you can combine your Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix with - either a carrycot in the lower position (not an option that would suit your needs) or a seat unit in the higher position (that's you, yay ^_^). So yes, you can combine a car seat with a forward-facing seat if the car seat is lower. A carrycot in the lower position is also combinable with the seat facing the world.

How do you take off front wheels to replace them with new ones?

Hello, you should be able to find a kind of hidden button on the rear inside upper part behind the wheel. It is not that visible, but maybe it will helo - around 30sec. in the video above.

Max weight: from birth to 25 kg (includes an integrated carrycot)

The latest iCandy Peach features new fabrics, extra padding on the seat unit, larger carrycot, matching changing bag for storing your essentials.

Converts from a single to double pushchair so you can accommodate another child if required.

The Candy Peach is an excellent option for growing families, as it easily converts from a single to a double pushchair, and it comes with everything that you will need for your little one – carrycot, seat unit and car seat adaptors.

There are several fabric options and various colors to choose from for the chassis. Some models also come with a matching car seat, and all have a five-year warranty.

iCandy Lime

iCandy Lime is the latest pushchair from the iconic baby brand, and it comes across as a blend of the iCandy Orange and the lightweight Raspberry stroller.

Top features of the travel-system-compatible Lime: large seat that can take up to 25kg, a spacious 10kg shopping basket, and a compact fold. The Lime also has a ride-on platform for older kids, and its compatible with a range of baby car seats.

More features inlccude fabric to turn the seat into a carrycot, car-seat adaptors, seat elevators and a rain cover, plus a DuoPod footmuff and seat-liner combo.

The iCandy Lime is available in a range of bold colours, not just lime green.

There are seven different-coloured DuoPods (the footmuff and seat liner) available: green (Lime), red (Cedar), blue (Glacier), yellow (Turmeric), purple (Mulberry), black (Onyx) and grey (Stone). One is included with the stroller, but more can be ordered separately.

You also have the option of choosing from different hood colours. One is included with the pushchair bundle, but can also be bought separately.

iCandy Raspberry

The majority of pushchairs are only suitable for children up to 15kg (around three years old), but the iCandy Raspberry can be used until your little one reaches 25kg (between five and six years old). This is undoubtedly handy if your baby is on the larger side and you’re worried he or she will outgrow the pushchair too fast, or if you like to go on long walks as a family and need a pushchair for when little legs of an older child get tired.

But as well as being suitable for older children, in 2017 iCandy updated the Raspberry with a carrycot option for parents who are not keen on putting their newborn in the lie-flat seat.

It also now includes elevators to raise the seat and bring your baby closer to you, which means less bending down to check on your child. Take a look at the latest iCandy Raspberry pushchair review to see why we’ve given this updated Raspberry a different score to the original version.

Land Rover & iCandy Launch All-terrain Stroller

Land Rover teamed up with iCandy to launch the iCandy Peach All-Terrain Special Edition stroller (pushchair). It’s not going to traverse a mountain on its own, but rather, it takes elements from Land Rover’s style and adopts them into a format that still somehow ends up costing a fair bit of money (its still cheaper than most other things with a Land Rover badge on it).

The hood fabric of the stroller is meant to resemble a Land Rover grille. There’s some fancy stitching on the seats, just like a Land Rover, and a separate rucksack lets parents stock a whole day’s worth of adventure-related items in the stroller’s basket. The plastic tires look pretty meaty, and the baby’s harness looks like a five-point harness used by racecar drivers and hardcore off-roaders.

This stroller also happened to be the first one ever unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, although that’s more of a fun fact than anything. The strollers go on sale in early 2018, and you can pick one up for the Land Rover-appropriate price around a couple of thousand dollars.

Closing Thoughts

iCandy is a premium buggy brand that makes pushchairs for city-use. Their stylish and well-made pushchairs tend to be more expensive, with prices ranges beginning from around £400 to over £1,000.

Moscow Metro: Inside the Transit System Where Soviet-Era Style Lives On

Eastidahonews.com staff.

East Idaho News

In fact, it’s more like a series of underground palaces and art galleries.

Almost every station has elaborate decorations, depicting historic Russian victories, famous literary figures and, of course, Soviet-era symbols.

The most impressive part of the 12-line metro were built under Stalin during the 1930s and 1950s, designed to celebrate Communist revolution and glorify the Soviet Union. The idea was to make public places — and many of its 196 stations — as lavish as palaces.

About 7 million people ride the Moscow Metro each day, making it one of the busiest in the world. The U.S.S.R. may be long gone, but the metro is a relic of that time — and an example of how Russians’ Soviet past continues to somehow live on in their everyday lives.

Why were so many metro stations in Moscow renamed?

Okhotny Ryad station in Soviet times and today.

The Moscow metro system has 275 stations, and 28 of them have been renamed at some point or other—and several times in some cases. Most of these are the oldest stations, which opened in 1935.

The politics of place names

The first station to change its name was Ulitsa Kominterna (Comintern Street). The Comintern was an international communist organization that ceased to exist in 1943, and after the war Moscow authorities decided to call the street named after it something else. In 1946, the station was renamed Kalininskaya. Then for several days in 1990, the station was called Vozdvizhenka, before eventually settling on Aleksandrovsky Sad, which is what it is called today.

The banner on the entraince reads:

The banner on the entraince reads: "Kalininskaya station." Now it's Alexandrovsky Sad.

Until 1957, Kropotkinskaya station was called Dvorets Sovetov ( Palace of Soviets ). There were plans to build a monumental Stalinist high-rise on the site of the nearby Cathedral of Christ the Saviour , which had been demolished. However, the project never got off the ground, and after Stalin's death the station was named after Kropotkinskaya Street, which passes above it.

Of course, politics was the main reason for changing station names. Initially, the Moscow Metro itself was named after Lazar Kaganovich, Joseph Stalin’s right-hand man. Kaganovich supervised the construction of the first metro line and was in charge of drawing up a master plan for reconstructing Moscow as the "capital of the proletariat."

In 1955, under Nikita Khrushchev's rule and during the denunciation of Stalin's personality cult, the Moscow Metro was named in honor of Vladimir Lenin.

New Metro stations that have been opened since the collapse of the Soviet Union simply say "Moscow Metro," although the metro's affiliation with Vladimir Lenin has never officially been dropped.

Stations that bore the names of Stalin's associates were also renamed under Khrushchev. Additionally, some stations were named after a neighborhood or street and if these underwent name changes, the stations themselves had to be renamed as well.

Until 1961 the Moscow Metro had a Stalinskaya station that was adorned by a five-meter statue of the supreme leader. It is now called Semyonovskaya station.

The biggest wholesale renaming of stations took place in 1990, when Moscow’s government decided to get rid of Soviet names. Overnight, 11 metro stations named after revolutionaries were given new names. Shcherbakovskaya became Alekseyevskaya, Gorkovskaya became Tverskaya, Ploshchad Nogina became Kitay-Gorod and Kirovskaya turned into Chistye Prudy. This seriously confused passengers, to put it mildly, and some older Muscovites still call Lubyanka station Dzerzhinskaya for old times' sake.

At the same time, certain stations have held onto their Soviet names. Marksistskaya and Kropotkinskaya, for instance, although there were plans to rename them too at one point.

"I still sometimes mix up Teatralnaya and Tverskaya stations,” one Moscow resident recalls .

“Both have been renamed and both start with a ‘T.’ Vykhino still grates on the ear and, when in 1991 on the last day of my final year at school, we went to Kitay-Gorod to go on the river cruise boats, my classmates couldn’t believe that a station with that name existed."

The city government submitted a station name change for public discussion for the first time in 2015. The station in question was Voykovskaya, whose name derives from the revolutionary figure Pyotr Voykov. In the end, city residents voted against the name change, evidently not out of any affection for Voykov personally, but mainly because that was the name they were used to.

What stations changed their name most frequently?

Some stations have changed names three times. Apart from the above-mentioned Aleksandrovsky Sad (Ulitsa Kominterna->Kalininskaya->Vozdvizhenka->Aleksandrovsky Sad), a similar fate befell Partizanskaya station in the east of Moscow. Opened in 1944, it initially bore the ridiculously long name Izmaylovsky PKiO im. Stalina (Izmaylovsky Park of Culture and Rest Named After Stalin). In 1947, the station was renamed and simplified for convenience to Izmaylovskaya. Then in 1963 it was renamed yet again—this time to Izmaylovsky Park, having "donated" its previous name to the next station on the line. And in 2005 it was rechristened Partizanskaya to mark the 60th anniversary of victory in World War II.

Another interesting story involves Alekseyevskaya metro station. This name was originally proposed for the station, which opened in 1958, since a village with this name had been located here. It was then decided to call the station Shcherbakovskaya in honor of Aleksandr Shcherbakov, a politician who had been an associate of Stalin. Nikita Khrushchev had strained relations with Shcherbakov, however, and when he got word of it literally a few days before the station opening the builders had to hastily change all the signs. It ended up with the concise and politically correct name of Mir (Peace).

The name Shcherbakovskaya was restored in 1966 after Khrushchev's fall from power. It then became Alekseyevskaya in 1990.

But the station that holds the record for the most name changes is Okhotny Ryad, which opened in 1935 on the site of a cluster of market shops. When the metro system was renamed in honor of Lenin in 1955, this station was renamed after Kaganovich by way of compensation. The name lasted just two years though because in 1957 Kaganovich fell out of favor with Khrushchev, and the previous name was returned. But in 1961 it was rechristened yet again, this time in honor of Prospekt Marksa, which had just been built nearby.

In 1990, two historical street names—Teatralny Proyezd and Mokhovaya Street—were revived to replace Prospekt Marksa, and the station once again became Okhotny Ryad.

WGS 84 coordinate reference system is the latest revision of the World Geodetic System, which is used in mapping and navigation, including GPS satellite navigation system (the Global Positioning System).

Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) define a position on the Earth’s surface. Coordinates are angular units. The canonical form of latitude and longitude representation uses degrees (°), minutes (′), and seconds (″). GPS systems widely use coordinates in degrees and decimal minutes, or in decimal degrees.

Latitude varies from −90° to 90°. The latitude of the Equator is 0°; the latitude of the South Pole is −90°; the latitude of the North Pole is 90°. Positive latitude values correspond to the geographic locations north of the Equator (abbrev. N). Negative latitude values correspond to the geographic locations south of the Equator (abbrev. S).

Longitude is counted from the prime meridian ( IERS Reference Meridian for WGS 84) and varies from −180° to 180°. Positive longitude values correspond to the geographic locations east of the prime meridian (abbrev. E). Negative longitude values correspond to the geographic locations west of the prime meridian (abbrev. W).

UTM or Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system divides the Earth’s surface into 60 longitudinal zones. The coordinates of a location within each zone are defined as a planar coordinate pair related to the intersection of the equator and the zone’s central meridian, and measured in meters.

Elevation above sea level is a measure of a geographic location’s height. We are using the global digital elevation model GTOPO30 .
