Angler Adventures was founded in 1986. We are a full service travel agency run by a staff of fishing experts and travel experts . We take great care in recommending the best fishing destinations to our clients and we pride ourselves in getting you there comfortably, at a reasonable cost. How it Works
- We handle all arrangements
- You make only one call – Angler Adventures 860-434-9624
- Unlike a lodge owner, we do not restrict ourselves to one location. We search a cross-section of lodges and outfitters to find the one that’s right for you.
- Our goal is for you to become a repeat customer, and to do the best possible job each and every time.
We represent over 120 lodges , outfitters and charter operators worldwide. Most of these, we’ve personally visited and fished! We’ll advise you where to stay whether you’re traveling with family or avid fishing friends. You can expect from us the ultimate in fishing / travel services; extensive pre-trip information; airline and ground transportation; advice based on personal experience; and reliable recommendations on “What to Bring”.
You never pay more than advertised rates . You will, however, benefit from our extensive knowledge and experience with international fishing travel.
We hope you enjoy our site. If you have any questions or would like to receive more detailed information on any of our destinations, please feel free to contact us . Or if you’d like to chat (we love to talk fishing!), please feel free to call us at 860-434-9624 . We hope to hear from you soon.

Meet our team of experts
Tom has been with Yellow Dog for more than ten years, after first starting as an intern at the company straight after graduation from the University of Montana. He has literally worn every hat and worked in every position possible at Yellow Dog, and no one knows the inner-working of the company – or the fishing travel industry – better. After working for years in an overall sales role for the company, Tom’s role expanded in 2021 to help manage all of our programs at Yellow Dog. Originally from the Midwest, Tom is a graduate of the University of Montana and as fanatical an angler as anyone we’ve ever met. When not in the office, Tom can be found fishing one of the many backcountry streams Montana has to offer or sitting at the vise tying up some new creations. Over his years with Yellow Dog, Tom has traveled extensively throughout both fresh and saltwater destinations around the globe. If you attend any of the consumer shows where Yellow Dog is participating, chances are great that you’ll meet Tom in the Yellow Dog booth!
Jake is Yellow Dog’s program director for our U.S. programs. Originally from Virginia, Jake moved to Idaho in 2005 and started his career in the fly fishing industry at Henry’s Fork Anglers, one of the most well-known destination fly shops in the Western United States. After leaving Idaho at the beginning of 2013, he relocated to Salt Lake City and worked for a top fly fishing e-commerce retailer, and then as a sales representative for some of the top brands in the industry. Jake is an unbelievable source of knowledge on all things having to do with fly fishing, and he now looks forward to traveling the globe pursuing his passion and helping others to do the same.
Kristen Tripp is Yellow Dog’s Program Director for Cuba and Yellow Dog’s Bluewater Program. A love of travel, culture, the outdoors and angling were cultivated from growing up in Nepal with summers in the Grand Tetons of Wyoming. With travel in her blood, Kristen has lived and traveled all over Latin and South America (including Chile, Argentina, Peru, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Cuba) along with a long list of countries in other continents as well. Despite her global travel experience, she still maintains a healthy bucket list for future exploration. Kristen’s international travel experience combined with her Spanish language skills and an aptitude for complex trip logistics give her the skills necessary to provide travelers to Cuba with a fantastic experience. An angler, paddler, biker, hiker and general outdoor enthusiast, Kristen loves to get outside when possible to explore, and always loves the opportunity to put her Spanish to use. A “logistics addict” with a get-it-done attitude, you can bet that Kristen will work hard to take care of your trip details. If she ever lacks for an immediate answer to your questions, she will work hard to track down the information for you and can troubleshoot in two languages, a must for Cuba trips!
Jack was born in Southern California and grew up camping, surfing, and fishing with family and friends. When he graduated from high school he followed his love for the mountains to Colorado where he attended the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated with a degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Atmospheric and Ocean Science. After graduating, Jack chose to follow his passions to Argentina where he first guided fly fishing. For the next 5 years, Jack worked as a guide splitting his time between Argentina, Uruguay, Alaska, Mexico, and Wyoming, many years spending over 300 days on the water. Jack has guided for a variety of species including trout in Patagonia, Golden Dorado in the jungle, and striped marlin in Baja. Recently, after years of non-stop travel and remote living, Jack decided to step away from guiding and outfitting at destination operations. He is extremely grateful for the experiences he was able to have, the people he was able to meet, and the places he was able to see throughout his time as a guide. Jack is passionate about travel, fly fishing, and adventure—He finds great joy in helping others experience what he loves.
Alec Gerbec has guided in the Seychelles, Alaska and throughout the US West. In his former role of head guide for Alphonse Fishing Company, Alec spent years guiding throughout the Seychelles, giving him the ideal background and skill set for his role with Yellow Dog. Alec has also worked as a sales rep and saltwater fly designer for Umpqua Feather Merchants and is one of the most knowledgeable people in the industry when it comes to fly design and saltwater applications. When you’re ready for your next Indian Ocean adventure, reach out to Alec to get things started!

Providence Atoll, Seychelles We have secured an absolutely prime week aboard the 150 foot live-aboard mother ship, Maya’s Dugong at Providence in the Seychelles. Available weeks in the Seychelles are very far and few between and if you have dreamt of fishing one of the Indian Ocean’s premiere destinations, here is your chance. Providence Atoll – a large and remote atoll in the Seychelles teaming with all the major fish species. Arguably the finest GT flats fishery on the planet.
This week will see the tides coming off the neaps and moving onto Full Moon spring tides. These tides should provide a nice spread of species, with your tailing species such as bones and triggers being present for the first three days. (Bumpies can sometimes hang off-shore over the Full Moon) There are early morning pushing tides during the first few days, meaning cold water pushing up onto the flats which is conducive for the above mentioned species. We would also expect to encounter GT’s on stingrays. The last three days will see a significant increase in water movement on the flats, which is generally more conducive for big GTs as this increase in current is more likely to push them up onto the flats. We will experience an afternoon high tide during the final four days of the trip, meaning the water depth on the flats will be too deep to wade and one will have to look at non flats options such as teasing off-shore, bommie bashing, fishing for Milkfish or fishing up and around the land masses in the south or north of the Atoll. All in all a great tidal week, with plenty of wading time and which should deliver a wide array of species.

Soul Fly Lodge – Berry Island Bahamas APRIL Arrive – April 1st, 2024 Fish – 6 Days Depart – April 8th, 2024 Availability – 2 rods & 2 rooms Tides – Small half moon tide at the beginning of the week with a low around 9a. Each day the tide gets larger as we move into the new moon at the end of the week. Awesome moon phase, great timing on the tide. Nice April bonefish and great permit tides.
MAY Arrive – May 25th, 2024 Fish – 4 Days Depart – May 30th, 2024 Available – 2 rods & 2 rooms Tides – Half moon trip with an average amount of tidal flow. Really nice timing on the tides. Book your next trip, protect your vacation with, trip insurance, travel information, prepare for your trip, how the outdoors international consultant service works.
Our job is to match you up with one of our consultants to help you book the right trip with the right outfitter . Our process is unlike talking directly to an outfitter, whose goal is to sell you on their trip. Our service is free , and your trip costs the same as booking with the outfitter directly. Remember, our continued success depends on giving you good advice .
Once you have a good idea of what kind of trip you’re looking for, give us the details , being as specific as possible.
We’ll then reach out you either by phone or email, whichever you prefer. Obviously, a phone call is ideal.
Our goal is always to match you with the right outfitter based on your criteria . During your consultation call, we will call to ask about your expectations, budget, schedule, etc. Then, we will send you a few options to look over.
Once you’ve looked over those options and decided on the right trip for you, we’ll get you directly in touch with the outfitter for any further questions.
If you feel good about the trip we’ve suggested, we’ll begin the booking process. Our office will send you an agreement form and collect your deposit to lock in your dates.
Most questions can then be answered directly from your guide or outfitter, but your Outdoors International consultant will always be available to help with any planning or preparations.

The duck shooting was the best my wife Mona and I have experienced in Nicaragua. The food was very good and the hotel staff friendly and courteous. The bird boys were outstanding.
Great people, great service, great time. I have traveled many places for many years, but Estancia Cortaderas was awesome. Your Staff was First Class. This was a bucket list for 20 years. I brought a friend along that had never hunted. He is hooked. That is what I enjoy about hunting in a group. If we can teach others to hunt and preserve our lands for opportunities for others. Thank you for a great experience.
Thank you for setting up this trip for Lawton and myself. Beat fishing trip I have ever been. Very much like Patagonia as to terrain and weather. The Madison River was excellent to fish, as was our guide Stewart. Staff at the Lodge were great, food delicious and good choices. Accommodations were first class. Scenery was superb. Recommend anyone to go there, they will have a wonderful time. Want to set up again next year and take Julie, she will love it.
Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!! For an unforgettable experience! The trip was amazing!! Your teams care and attention to detail is unparalleled!! I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone and everyone! Sundowners were one of our favorite parts of the trip!!
My Trip to Pampa Lodge in Argentina was great. Could not have been better. Great lodge, great hosts and great hunting. Thanks for making it happen!
Jim said you and he chatted on the phone on some of the details, but I wanted to chime in just really quickly that it was a great trip to Bolivia. The shooting was excellent, the accommodations were perfect, and the Molina family are top notch people who are great hosts.

South Dakota Pheasant Hunting: It’s sweeping prairie vistas, dramatic bluffs and the majestic Missouri River. This is pheasant hunting at it’s very finest! Expert pheasant hunting guides accompanied by professionally trained hunting dogs provide days of bird limits and pure satisfaction. Thunderstik and Rooster Ridge Lodges offer some of the best pheasant hunting in the world. Known as the golden triangle, this region of South Dakota holds the best pheasant habitat and numbers in the USA. Choose either lodge and you will have a great pheasant hunting experience!
Big Game Hunting
There is a deep satisfaction in the big game hunt. It’s a powerful sense of participation in a primal activity that has gone on since the dawn of time, tapping into man’s ancient struggle for survival and his ongoing thrill of the chase. When in pursuit of trophy elk, moose, red deer or any trophy, you’re a dynamic participant in some of the most exciting, demanding environments on earth. Either fording an icy stream on horseback in Patagonia or ascending a mountain in New Mexico, we share your dream and we can make it a reality! Each Gage Outdoor hunting adventure has been scouted and selected by the Gage staff to ensure maximum quality.
Whether you’re looking for an Alaskan adventure or a slice of paradise, we have the perfect angling package for you! We offer corporate fishing retreats , couples trips or family packages with great fishing, eco tours or luxury spas – we cater to everyone’s picture of paradise. The lodges have all the personal touches you would find at a family cabin on the lake. Small but spacious, our lodge is nothing like the large commercial lodges you find throughout Alaska. The staff will focus on you and your every need from the moment you arrive until the moment you depart. Take some time to relax in the comfort of our glass enclosed lounge as you watch a majestic brown bear comb the shoreline.
Why Choose Gage Outdoor Expeditions?
The internet, or Google, can be a valuable tool in finding a quality hunting or fishing outfitter. The difficulty occurs when attempting to sort through all the noise and determine which hunting or fishing lodge offers a quality experience. Search “ Canada fishing lodge ” and you get thousands of lodges, which you know nothing about. Choosing an outfitter can be like rolling the dice – hoping the fishing/hunting and accommodations are as advertised.
As hunting & fishing consultants, Gage Outdoor Expeditions is unbiased as to which hunting lodges we work with. Our primary goal is to provide the best hunting or fishing experiences for our clients. We strive to build long term relationships so you have a trusted associate that will give you an honest, accurate description of the hunting or fishing expedition you desire. All of this is free of charge to you. You will get the same pricing through us that you would going directly to the lodge or outfitter.

Testimonials
Nicaragua duck & dove hunt.
Our guide Nacho was the best guide I have ever had on a hunting trip. The bird boys were very good. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The scenery was beautiful and plenty of ducks. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to shoot ducks in Nicaragua.
Nomada FLY FISH TRAVEL COMPANY
When we created Nomada Fly Fish in 2019, we committed to providing our guests the best fly fishing travel experience at a fair price. This means ensuring every Nomada trip is the highest quality and that we provide a level of service unmatched by our competitors. We look forward to earning your trust and your business!
The Nomada Difference
We aren’t trying to be the world’s biggest fly fish travel agency, but we do strive to be the best! This means getting to know our guests on a first-name basis and only offering trips to destinations we’ve actually visited before and have intimate knowledge. Furthermore, your trip host is available by email or personal phone to answer any questions you have along the way. This ensures your adventure is smooth and enjoyable every step of the way.
We want to help our guests meet their personal fly fishing goals. If you’re new to the sport, we’ll suggest trips that are beginner-friendly to help boost your confidence and provide a clear path for advancement. If you’re an old hat with the long stick, we can help you knock off exotic species and destinations from your fly fish bucket list. Either way, we’ve got you covered with trips that won’t break the bank.
Did we mention we only offer trips to destinations we’ve visited before and have intimate knowledge? Of course, this means we’ll make sure you know what equipment to pack and what kind of weather to expect. But, it also means knowing what airlines offer the best flight times, what car rental companies are located inside the airports, or if you need to allow extra time for a shuttle service. And if you have any additional questions, we’re only call, text, or email away!
We strive to offer the fly fish industry’s most competitive destination travel rates. In most cases, this means offering trips for the exact cost as booking them directly through the outfitter! Additionally, we provide free expert advice and guidance and access to extra “group perks” supplied by our lodge and outfitter partners. Lastly, we know nobody likes surprises, so our flat-rate prices include taxes and any hidden fees whenever possible.

Hello! Here's a little about us...
We live in northeastern Pennsylvania, in the small town of Benton. This is our home and our local stream is a medium size trout stream called Fishing Creek.
At home we offer fly fishing programs designed for 1 to 10 people and we have four fly fishing guides who round out our guide service. In addition to our fly fishing programs, we are photographers and lead trips for Frontiers, International, Gibsonia, PA. Frontiers is the world's largest bird hunting, safari, and fly fishing travel agency. We have hosted trips for many years and have now settled on a schedule of favorite lodges and destinations that we visit regularly and some new lodges that are just too good to miss.
Barry has been taking photos and fly fishing since he was a kid and has worked in the fly fishing industry for just about as long. In the 70's, he was with the H. L. Leonard Rod Company in the heyday of bamboo rods and for Letort, Ltd., before returning to his home town of Berwick, PA, where we would meet and purchase his parent's sporting goods store, which eventually became Fishing Creek Outfitters in Benton. We stayed in retail until our daughters grew up and, in 1995, the shop was sold and we started to host trips for Frontiers and became ambassadors for Sage Fly Rod Company, Patagonia Clothing Company, Tibor, Smith.
As long time photographers for clients such as Frontiers, Gray's Sporting Journal, Sports Afield, Outdoor Life, Fly Fisherman , and others, we have galleries of photos for commercial, editorial, and private use.
We invite you to look around our web site and to contact us if we can answer any questions or offer additional information. Thanks for stopping by.

Longtime Fly-Fishing Media Professionals Launch New Travel Booking Agency for Adventurous Anglers
From Hatch Adventure Travel:
SEATTLE — Three longtime fly-fishing media professionals and avid anglers are behind the launch of a unique, new travel booking agency that offers fishing and adventure tourism experiences to both domestic and international destinations and pays to offset 150 percent of the carbon emissions associated with air travel.
Chad Shmukler, Earl Harper and Chris Hunt are the partners behind Hatch Adventure Travel (HAT), which is already booking clients on adventures to some of the most sought-after angling destinations around the globe. To reduce the environmental impact of air travel associated with the trips the company sells, HAT is footing the bill to offset 150 percent of the carbon dioxide emitted over the course of a plane trip, regardless of the length of the flight or the cost associated with the offset.
“Travel broadens our horizons and fills our souls. It fuels local economies around the globe, providing livelihoods for countless families and individuals. In many rural and remote areas, it drives conservation, by offering alternatives to destructive, extractive industries and supplies incentives to preserve natural environments. But travel also has an impact. And that’s something that even those of us in the travel industry can’t—or at least shouldn’t—ignore,” Shmukler says.
Together, the trio behind Hatch Adventure Travel has over 50 years of travel experience, visiting every continent on the planet except Antarctica in search of angling and other adventures. Through this extensive travel, they’ve seen it all—both the good and the bad—and have chosen to represent only the destinations that offer their clients the best possible experience.
“What makes a destination good or even great isn’t just the quality of the fishing or the view from the porch,” says Shmukler. “It’s about so much more than that. Over the years we’ve learned that the best destinations are almost always borne of the ideals of their owners and operators. Cultural pride which comes through in the guest experience, a dedication to conservation and sustainability, a commitment to providing their guides and staff with fair wages and a healthy work environment, attentiveness and attention to detail—those are the true hallmarks of a great destination,” he added.
Regarding the new agency’s carbon offset program, Hunt notes “I don’t think any of us would be doing this if we couldn’t, at the very least, reduce the impact of our business on the planet. It’s by no means a perfect solution to CO2 emissions, but many of the offsets we purchase go directly to projects on the ground in or near the destinations we serve and the rest go to helping to address the ongoing climate crisis.”
For instance, if a client books a trip to chase permit in Mexico’s famed Ascension Bay, half of the offsets the agency purchases will help fund the Utsil Naj healthy homes program, which helps provide efficient cookstoves to homes throughout the country. Similarly, the carbon offsets HAT purchases for anglers traveling to Argentina will go toward funding renewable energy projects in neighboring Brazil. The other half of the offsets purchased for each trip the agency books will be devoted to GoldStandard’s Climate+ offset, a hybrid fund that helps propel a variety of projects – from clean water access to renewable energy – reaching all corners of the globe. Like all of GoldStandard’s offset programs, the Climate+ fund is an internationally recognized, ISEAL-standardized, voluntary carbon offset program focused on helping to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
“We’re very interested in responsible travel to places anglers want to visit,” Harper says. “It makes sense for anglers who want to fish around the world to give a little bit back to the areas they visit, and the offset is our way of helping them do that.”
Presently, HAT is selling trips to lodges in the United States, Argentina, Chile, Mongolia, Iceland, Greenland, Mexico and the Bahamas. More lodges are coming online in the coming weeks. For more, visit hatch.travel .

The energy and passion of our dynamic team flows through everything that we do. Our authentic, first hand knowledge expands the entire region helping us to create unique, cutting-edge experiences
At Beagle International we are inspired to travel for the pleasure of the journey and by the richness of the experiences that it brings
Founders Vision
After years of working hard with Beagle Internacional and entertaining guests around the world hunting and fishing, in early 2010, Pablo Aguilo realized that there was another world in the travel industry to be offered to his guests. Step after step he started a deep research about the best destinations to take his family and he ended up organizing a new tourism company to travel to some of the most exclusive lodges and camps in the world. Today all guests from Beagle International make combinations for multiple trips around the world and get special benefits on our own lodges. We found out we wanted all our guests to come visit us more often to keep building memories for their future generations.
We hope you enjoy your journey; we will handle the details. The world is open every day for happiness, we just need to be strong in making new decisions. You should be the next one.

Wayne Graham
Wayne Graham served as a worship pastor for over 35 years in 4 Texas churches. It was through mission trips to Buenos Aires beginning in 2007, that Wayne first developed a deep love for Argentina and its gracious people. Over the last several years, Wayne and his wife, Laura, traveled to Argentina many times. The primary focus of these trips was to share great generosity and kindness to the children and families of Northern Cordoba, Argentina. Wayne was passionate about hunting, and even more passionate about sharing the love of God through serving alongside others and teaching life lessons while working together. He personified goodness and kindness to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Wayne had a larger than life personality, who served selflessly and generously, and never tired of sharing about his love for God.

NOVINKY A INFORMACE

Fishing Travel Agency je cestovní kancelář, jejíž historie spadá do počátku devadesátých let minulého století. Pamětníci jistě nezapomněli její tehdejší název Rybářský sen a velmi dobře si určitě pamatují i strastiplné začátky českých rybářů při rybolovu v Norsku.

Tips for a Successful Fly Fishing Trip
This article was featured in the 2020 Destinations issue of Fly Fisherman. It was originally titled "Watery Wonders: Travel tips to make your trip safe and successful".
There’s probably no better way to see this planet than with a fly rod in your hand. You can’t get into the Louvre Museum or the Vatican carrying a 9-foot 5-weight fly rod, but if you want to get away from the well-traveled paths of billions of other people, fly fishing will take you away from what man has created, and show you the natural wonders of this planet. It’s a deeply immersive way to experience river/lake/ocean ecosystems around the world, learn what makes them tick, and just for a moment, be a part of it. Your visit can even sustain and protect these places.
Being a peripatetic fly fisher is also a wonderful way to experience the “real” people and culture of a country—not the ethos of the cities or all-inclusive tourist resorts, but the people who live in harmony with their natural world and can give you a glimpse at it if you’re willing to listen and to learn. We created Destinations to help you find their special places and experience these watery wonders of the world.
Here are a few additional tips to make your trip successful:
Use an agent. Travel agencies charge a commission, but that is paid by the lodge, so it doesn’t cost you anything. Good agents visit the venues they book so they can provide you with expert advice. Fly Fisherman is proud to partner with the best fly-fishing travel agencies in the world: Angler Adventures , Frontiers Travel , The Fly Shop , Tailwaters Fly Fishing Co. , and Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures all helped to sponsor and produce this magazine, and in fact in many instances we relied on their knowledge and expertise for certain locations.
Timing is everything. In my story on the Iliamna Lake region (page 66 of the 2020 Destinations issue. ) I described catching big rainbows feeding on sockeye salmon eggs in small streams. You should understand that most Alaska fishing lodges open in late June and close at the end of September, and that the sockeye spawn lasts for two weeks or less on some streams. Getting a prime week isn’t just a consideration, it should be your primary concern. To get the best dates, plan your trip at least a year in advance, go through an agency—they often have some of the best weeks booked for their own clientele—or consider going with a group. Hosted trips are often booked on prime dates a year or more in advance, and you can get in on these dates by piggybacking with a preexisting group.
Medical evacuation insurance. If you fall sick or are injured in a foreign country, the first thing you want is to get back to a U.S. hospital as soon as possible. I use and recommend Global Rescue. Annual coverage is surprisingly inexpensive, and if you have a life-threatening medical emergency—whether that’s a snakebite, broken pelvis, or heart arrhythmias—they will evacuate you and get you back to your home hospital.
Guide advice. Follow your guide’s advice. Learn their techniques and heed their instructions. I used to be a guide, and the worst trips were always with fly fishers who thought they didn’t need expert advice. They were intent on fishing dry flies, upstream only, no matter the season or the water conditions, and they needed me only to row them to the good spots. The greatest part about fly-fishing travel is what you can learn, and the guides you meet on their local waters are the most sincere, observant, and experienced watermen in the world. If you want to find out what makes their home waters special, all you need to do is listen and learn.

Science in the Thorofare
Yellowstone National Park employees and Ph.D. students horse pack into the most remote location in the Lower 48 to research spawning-size Yellowstone cutthroats from Yellowstone Lake. The upper upper Yellowstone River drainage, also known as the Thorofare, has long been considered one of the world's greatest fly-fishing destinations.
How to Tie the Picky Eater Perdigon
Like it or not, competition angling is driving many of the advancements in our sport. And while I generally find Perdigons and their cousins to be pretty boring flies, Zach VanDeHey, a 39-year-old Oregonian, and his approach to his Picky Eater Perdigon gives me hope for the future. VanDeHey hatched the idea for his Picky Eater while feeling was that his conventional Perdigons were sinking too fast. Though the entire premise behind slender-bodied nymphs with big tungsten beads is to plummet through the water column to the bottom, these fish were feeding in the middle of the water column. VanDeHey got to work on the vise to design a fly that would sink more slowly and spawned the brilliant idea of not only downsizing the bead, but also adding a dubbing-loop CDC collar to function as a parachute and reduce the rate of descent. This flowing CDC collar adds tons of fluid motion to the fly, and creates enough drag and lift to keep the fly drifting mid-column. Follow along as I twist up this super-fishy fly.
Fly Fishing the Plunge Pools of Yosemite Falls
Ross Purnell and a crew of climber-anglers make a once-in-a-lifetime trip to “middle Earth” to fish for an isolated population of native rainbow trout. The Middle Cascades of Yosemite Falls in Yosemite National Park is a next-to-impossible section of water to access that few have ever even seen, much less fished. It requires a dangerous climb, followed by rappelling into a gorge, then swimming to the fish. It would require careful planning, even more careful navigation, and a little luck. Follow along on this adventure of all adventures to see what they find, and how they deal with the numerous challenges, both foreseen and unforeseen, in Descent.
Scientific Anglers Launches Reimagined Tropical Saltwater Fly Lines
The Magnitude series is a completely new creation in the same way that the first breathable waders and the first graphite rods were fundamentally different from their predecessors. These are the first lines from Scientific Anglers that are not polyvinyl chloride. Magnitude lines are made from new, naturally buoyant polymers. That's one reason why they are clear or available with clear tips—because these new polymers don't require an infusion of tiny glass spheres or bubbles for buoyancy.

How to Tie Dorsey's Top Secret Baetis Fly
These days there are so many reasonably simple fly patterns that work well but have no soul or appeal to fly tiers. Pat Dorsey took a simple combination of materials and created a fly that is durable, quick, and fun to tie, and it not only gets the job done, but it also looks good doing it. Based off the success of his remarkable Top Secret Midge pattern, Dorsey took a familiar route to alter that pattern slightly to create this effective Baetis imitation. The beauty of this fly is that it is tied from very commonly available materials—for the most part, albeit with some necessary modern-day substitutions—and it is straightforward to tie.
