BAD BUNNY Announces “World’s Hottest Tour” Dates For U.S. and Latin America

Proclaimed the most listened-to artist in the world for a second consecutive year by Spotify, Bad Bunny  has distinguished himself for his revolutionary moves that constantly impact the music industry. Today, the multi-award-winning artist adds a new milestone to his career, announcing his first stadium tour “Bad Bunny: World’s Hottest Tour” across the United States and Latin America. Promoted by Live Nation and CMN in the U.S., the tour kicks off on August 5th at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL, making stops in Miami, Chicago, New York and many more before wrapping at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on September 30th, then heading out to Latin America in October. Tickets for this stadium tour will go on pre-sale beginning Wednesday, January 26 at 12pm local time. Subsequently, they will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, January 28 at 12pm local time on worldshottesttour.com .

Joining Bad Bunny as special guests on select dates in the U.S. will be GRAMMY® nominated DJ and Record Producer, Alesso and ten-time GRAMMY® nominated artist, Diplo . With his music and visuals, Alesso creates experiences that have made him one of the most celebrated live performers. Diplo is one of the most dynamic forces in music today with billions of streams on some of the world’s best dance recordings.

This announcement is a clear representation of Bad Bunny’s extraordinary  growth as a global superstar. Just after announcing his tour “El Último Tour Del Mundo 2022” in April 2021, which will begin February 9th and will tour 35 indoor arenas across North America, the artist broke the record at Ticketmaster for the most ticket sales for a tour on its first day of sales since 2018. Bad Bunny quickly sold out all 35 shows, moving more than 500,000 tickets. In addition, the artist performed his first stadium concerts in December 2021, breaking audience records with two performances at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico. There is no doubt that after such success, “Bad Bunny: World’s Hottest Tour” in stadiums with an all new production will continue to elevate the artist’s career to new transcendental levels.

Over the past year, Bad Bunny has released top hits that have earned him the title of #1 Latin Artist in the US by Billboard for a third consecutive year and was also named one of the top 10 most popular global superstars. As if that were not enough, he is also the highest-ranking Latin act on Billboard’s general all genre chart “Top Artists,” ranking at #10, and is the artist with the most hits to reach the Top 10 of the “Hot Latin Songs” chart since the charts inception.

Adding to his great accomplishments in 2021, the artist closed the year by surprising his fans with the premiere of the music video for “Te Deseo Lo Mejor,” which he made in collaboration with The Simpsons . The series is known for bringing some of the most popular celebrities in the world to life in cartoon form and this time Bad Bunny caused a great impact with his participation, reaffirming his leading spot in the music industry.

With special guests Alesso and Diplo.

It’s shaping up to be a major year for Bad Bunny. After selling out his first headlining tour since 2020, El Último Tour Del Mundo, in record time — the Puerto Rican superstar is now extending his trek around the world by announcing a new 29-date stadium tour set to take place during the summer of 2022 in the U.S. and Latin America.

World’s Hottest Tour, Bad Bunny’s first-ever stadium-sized tour, will kick off just four months after he wraps up El Último Tour Del Mundo, which is set to begin at the beginning of Feb.

And there’s more: Bad Bunny is also inviting DJs Alesso and Diplo to open select dates on the road.

The Latin America leg of the tour will commence shortly after in October, with shows in Dominican Republic, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, and more, before ending with two shows in Mexico.

Announcing the new shows via Instagram Reels , Bad Bunny also revealed that a new album is on the way: “While I work on my new album, you can buy tickets for my next tour,” he said. The album will be his first major release since 2020’s El Último Tour Del Mundo .

Bad Bunny

‘Tis the age of the Bunny. There’s no denying that with Bad Bunny’s astronomical rise to prominence, El Conejo Malo has redefined global stardom on his own terms.

With his chart-topping streak and World’s Hottest Tour, he continues to pulverize records across the globe. According to Billboard ‘s Boxscore report , the Puerto Rican artist makes history as top touring act of 2022, with a gross of $373.5 million from 1.8 million tickets across 65 shows (with 20 Latin American stadium shows still left to tally). He is Billboard ‘s Artist of the Year for these reasons and many more.

In our recent Bad Bunny cover story , Leila Cobo, Billboard ’s chief content officer Latin/Español, reports: “World’s Hottest Tour broke venue revenue records in 12 of the 15 U.S. markets that it played, including New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C., averaging $11.1 million per show — the biggest average gross by any artist in any genre in Boxscore history (dating back to the 1980s), as well as the biggest Latin tour.”

The world’s hottest superstar unofficially kicked off the first leg on July 28th, where Benito invited eight guests to perform in his native island at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot: Chencho Corleone, Jhayco, Bomba Estéreo, Buscabulla, Villano Antillano, Tommy Torres, Arcángel, and Jowell & Randy. With 18,749 ticket buyers in the San Juan arena, Benito also broke the attendance record there previously held by Metallica. His North American official guests included Diplo and Alesso, and the Bunny hopped to 16 cities total for 22 dates.

As for his second leg in Latin America, Benito has continued to set the bar high. His first stop was at Dominican Republic’s Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez on October 21, where he was joined by Tokischa, Rauw Alejandro, Toño Rosario, Ángel Dior, and others. His Latin American stint includes 13 different countries that include Peru, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Panamá and more. On Dec. 10, El Conejo Malo will conclude in Mexico City’s iconic Estadio Azteca.

As Bad Bunny prepares to perform in Mexico as his last tour stop of the year, Billboard Español has consolidated all the surprise guests that have joined the man of 2022, in alphabetical order.

Note: This list also includes opening acts.

There’s no denying that Bad Bunny is an avid explorer of new scenes and sounds, and Ángel Dior’s appearance at Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Dominican Republic was a surprising (but welcomed) presence. The Dominican dembow upstart has been making the rounds on YouTube, quickly becoming a viral sensation with a steady stream of frenetic dance cuts. The juggernaut gave the young rapper the stage to perform his own hit “A I O en Tarima” and joined him for a bit too.

During the “Trap Bunny” segment — where Benito sings pure trap hits (naturally) — the trapero popped up at Yankee Stadium on August 27 and 28. Arcángel’s contributions during the show included the provocative “La Ocasión” and “Me Acostumbré,” providing his signature nimble vocal delivery. Arcángel also showed up at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Dominican Republic’s Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez for its first Latin American stint on Oct. 21 and 22, and in Bunny’s last tour stop in Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca on Dec. 9 and 10. Recently, the “La Jumpa” collaborators premiered their latest banger live in Monterrey, Mexico.

Bomba Estéreo

Bomba Estereo

Although Bomba Estéreo has been touring North America and Europe, the Colombian band made some space to sing at the first stop on Bunny’s artistic tour — first at El Choli on July, and then at the last U.S. concert at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles (September 30), where the fiery singer Liliana Saumet serenaded the masses with the sweet “Ojitos Lindos.” The band also appeared in Mexico City during Benito’s final tour stop in December.

When the Nuyorican duo Buscabulla moved to their native Puerto Rico a few years ago, their star shone brighter, and as they’ve released their own compositions filled with tropical dream-pop bliss, they’ve also proven to be masters at adding more elegance to reggaeton’s more hedonistic approach. “Andrea” by Bad Bunny, though, is one that will make our hearts beat faster: Berrios’ breathy voice is a multi-faceted wonder. The band showed up to perform that song at PR’s El Choli, San Diego’s Petco Park, and Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca.

Arriving to the stage wearing rainbow rhinestones on a black one-piece, Cardi B lit up the scene on Oct. 1 at the L.A. stop. Benito gave the Bronx native the SoFi stage to perform her own “Bodak Yellow”, her first No. 1 on the Hot 100. She followed up with “I Like It,” joining Bunny. The song became the second No. 1 for Cardi, as well as the first No. 1 for both J Balvin and Bad Bunny.

Chencho Corleone

Reggaetón pioneer Chencho Corleone is enjoying a second wave of success, this time on a global scale. The Plan B grad turned up on the East Coast to feast on New York pride, and did not disappoint. When his high-pitched, dancehall-tinged voice breaks into the mega-hit “Me Porto Bonito,” the entire vibe in the stadium intensifies with excitement. The song held at No. 1 on the Hot Latin Songs chart for 20 consecutive weeks.

To date, Chencho has been the artist who has joined Benito the most, appearing at Chase Field (Phoenix, AZ), Petco Park (San Diego), AT&T Stadium (Dallas, TX), Alamodome (San Antonio, TX), Minute Maid Park (Houston, TX), Fenway Park (Boston, MA), Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas), and SoFi (Los Angeles), and plenty of more dates throughout Latin America, including Mexico City.

DJ Agudelo 888

DJ Agudelo 888 joined the Bunny at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá to turn up the energy behind the decks. The beatmaker is one of Colombia’s most sought-after DJs: he had previously joined fellow Colombian Karol G during her North American Strip Love and Bichota tour as the official man behind the decks. “One day I dreamt that today in his best moment, and in Colombia, (Bad Bunny) would choose Agudelo to open all his shows,” said the DJ .

Duki

Duki and Bunny’s bond runs deep: the Argentine and Puerto Rican rappers collaborated during the Bunny’s trap phase earlier in his career. Duki is arguably the biggest rapper to come out of the Argentinian trap scene, and was schooled in the freestyle street competitions of Quinto Escalón, so it was dope for Benito to bring him along and sing their trap cut “Hablamos Mañana,” while also giving the Buenos Aires lyricist the stage to rap his more recent hit, “Givenchy.”

Gabriela Berlingeri

Benito’s best friend Gabriela Berlingeri lent her vocals to the ’90s dance-laden, Puerto Rican anthem “El Apagón” at Bad Bunny’s final show in Mexico City at Estadio Azteca in Decmeber. Arriving to the stage with a shimmery two-piece golden outfit, Berlingeri simply dazzled. It was the only appearance his ex girlfriend made from the tour, but it had Mexican fans loosing their minds positively upon her arrival.

When Ivy Queen went up to the Chicago stadium to hug Benito, everyone in the crowd lost their minds, and we witnessed on social media. The Reina del Reggaeton , who was featured in Bad Bunny’s energetic remix of “Yo Perreo Sola,” performed that hit at Soldier Field, and also sang “Quítate Tú Pa Ponerme Yo” and her megahit “Quiero Bailar,” which could not be left out, of course!

La Caballota also made a stop at SoFi, where she arrived dressed in a sequined bunny outfit decorated with the Puerto Rican flag, looking like the superhero that she is. This weekend, she showed up at Monterrey, Mexico, where she graciously said on the Estadio BBVA stage, “Another night accompanying the number one.”

Jhayco

After lighting up the stage with his dembow-hip hop fusion “Tití Me Preguntó,” Bunny joined fellow Puerto Rican Jhayco at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Aug. 12. Jhayco was also present at the Puerto Rico concert the previous month. Together, the collaborators performed their fourth single, “Tarot,” which made the top 10 of the Global 200.

They also played their viral hit “Dákiti” from El Último Tour del Mundo, which further enlivened the atmosphere. “I had a brutal summer in Puerto Rico,” Bad Bunny told the public. “I hope my music becomes part of yours.” Jhayco also joined the Bunny on his second leg at the Dominican Republic on Oct. 22 and in Mexico City on Dec. 9 and 10.

Jowell & Randy

Benito kicked off the official tour in Orlando, and brought Jowell & Randy as special guests on Aug. 15. The longtime duo also brought the heat to Yankee Stadium, especially when the pounding beats of “Safaera” began to boom. The Puerto Rican pair led the way to old school reggaeton, and the crowd absolutely loved the throwback. They even played their own Bad Bunny-produced “Se Acabó la Cuarentena” from 2020. They later showed up at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in Bogotá, Colombia, and in Mexico City.

La Kisty was among the handful of artists to pop up at Conejo’s D.R. showcase. She showed up during Ángel Dior’s set, where she twerked to some dembow and even did a cartwheel . Best known as an Instagram personality, she has also lent her skills on the mic on a couple of tracks, “Tu Marido” and “Pedro Julio.”

Mora, Bad Bunny

Right after singing songs from his record-breaking summer album, Benito transitioned to perform hits from older releases like El Último Tour del Mundo and YHLQMDLG . He invited his Rimas label-mate Mora to perform “Una Vez” at his Miami concert in Hard Rock Stadium. The reggaeton cut is the ninth single from YHLQMDLG , and it debuted at No. 18 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and at No. 17 on Latin Streaming Songs.

“When I saw my name on the charts, I honestly thought it was Photoshop,” Mora told Billboard last year. “[I]t was motivation and it confirmed that I was on the right path.” Mora also joined Benito in Medellín, Colombia on Nov. 18 and 19.

Ñengo Flow

Puerto Rico’s self-proclaimed G.O.A.T. has been spearheading reggaeton since its first explosion in the mid-00s, and Bad Bunny was right to invite the genre pioneer to participate in YHLQMDLG ‘s hard-hitting “Que Malo” and “Safaera.” Ñengo Flow arrived to the Hard Rock Stadium stage on Aug. 12 to perform the latter song alongside Benito, which surely sparked the perreo pesado at the Miami venue. The rapper also showed up in Mexico City for Benito’s final tour stop in December.

One of Bad Bunny’s most promising emerging guests is RaiNao, the Puerto Rican singer who’s putting a more alternative, sensual spin on reggaeton. In July, she appeared at El Choli, where she performed her own song “LUV” from her 2022 album A.K.A NAO , which has earned her over a million streams on Spotify. Props to Bunny for continuing to give indie artists their flowers.

Rauw Alejandro

Rauw Alejandro has been enjoying an exceptional year as one of the biggest superstars to come out of Puerto Rico. From magazine covers to viral streaming success to a Latin Grammy win, he quickly made time to show up at Bad Bunny’s unofficial tour kickoff at Choliseo to start the “Party” song. He also showed up at Dominican Republic on Oct. 21, as Benito began the second leg in Latin America, where Alejandro sang the first single “Punto 40” off his new album, as well as in Mexico City on Dec. 9 and 10.

Also known for his cumbia villera-styled banger “Tu Turrito,” Rei has been a formidable player as part of Argentina’s Dale Play Records crew. The singer/rapper was invited to be the opening act for Bad Bunny’s Buenos Aires’ show at Estadio José Amalfitani on Nov. 4 and 5.

Last month, Rei told Gente , “It’s not that I got to Bad Bunny because of luck. I worked hard, I have a team and a record label that trusts me, and between all of us we made one. It was really nice to have been there and to be able to show my art in front of a lot of people.”

Romeo Santos

The moment Romeo Santos arrived at Yankee Stadium, we knew we were in the presence of history in the making. Clad in all-white with a touch of lime green, the Aventura frontman shouted, “Puerto Rico! Dominican Republic!” and kicked off his appearance with “Volví.” Last year, Aventura and Bad Bunny collaborated on the track, which earned the bachateros their first No. 1 song in over a decade. After the two hottest superstars performed it side by side, they gave each other a hug of mutual respect.

Santos’ return to Yankee Stadium was also noteworthy considering that the Bronx native has a large, local and fervid fan base, selling out the venue in 2014. The Puerto Rican-Dominican artist also sang his own hit, the slinky “Propuesta Indecente” a capella. But when the two icons busted out Aventura’s “Ella Y Yo,” with Bad Bunny singing Don Omar’s verses, all hell broke lose. “ ¡El rey de la bachata! ,” Bad Bunny shouted, as the Bachata King made his grand exit.

Another guest spot for the history books was Sech’s surprise appearance in the singer’s home country of Panama at the Rommel Fernández Guitiérrez stadium. Together, they sang a medley of songs, including “Volando Remix,” “Ignorantes” and “No Se Porque Nos Dejamos.”

The Panamanian vocalist took to Instagram to write: “Panama made me cry over and over again […] Benito and Ramón [Daddy Yankee; who performed a few days prior to Bunny in Panama], thanks for always being such real friends, thanks for the advice and love. Thank you for making that anthem with me. Let there be more!!! Panama I will keep working hard to keep representing our flag, and wave it at the top of the world. I swear!!!” Sech also performed in Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca in December.

The singer of The Marías, María Zardoya, brought warmth and an exquisite voice to the World’s Hottest Tour. The Puerto Rican artist appeared at Yankee Stadium in a stylish dark outfit to sing “Otro Atardecer” after Bad Bunny’s performance. She also made appearances at Petco Park in San Diego and at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

In a recent interview, vocalist María Zardoya said , “I always said I wanted to collaborate with [Bad Bunny] or even just add vocals to one of his songs to add a new texture. He reached out to us to do exactly that — add texture to a song that he pretty much already had written […] I know Benito is selective and intentional with everything he creates, which I’ve always respected, so I feel honored that he thought of us for this song.”

Bad Bunny began the second leg of his World’s Hottest Tour in Santo Domingo, where he delivered a star-studded show filled with plenty of surprises. One of the most exhilarating acts to come out of the Dominican Republic as of late is the fiery, provocative linguist Tokischa, who arrived to the scene at Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez on the Bunny’s second date there (Oct. 22). There probably couldn’t have been a better song pick for Tokischa to lend her voice to than the Dominican dembow banger, “Tití Me Preguntó.”

Tommy Torres

When Tommy Torres and Bad Bunny joined forces last year, it seemed a highly unlikely collaboration, but it worked out very well — because, as we know, Bunny is Midas. Bunny produced his album El Playlist de Anoche, giving it a “rockstar touch.” Both even made it to the cover of Billboard in July 2021 . At the Coliseo show, the singer-songwriter played guitar on the pop ballad “No Soy Celoso,” from Benito’s latest album.

“Yo No Soy Celoso” Tommy Torres junto a Bad Bunny hoy en Puerto Rico. 🎤 pic.twitter.com/hrfOPKwOei — Archive Bad Bunny (@ArchiveBenito) July 29, 2022

Toño Rosario

The Bunny closed his Santo Domingo performance on a high note by bringing Dominican merengue legend Toño Rosario, the golden-voiced singer who brought Latin party music favorites like “Otra Como Tú” and “Me Olvidé de Vivir” in the ‘90s, to the stage. Together, Rosario and Bad Bunny delivered the merengue-mambo dance banger “Después de la Playa” to epic proportions. The song is the third highest-ranking track off Un Verano Sin Ti to enter the Hot 100, landing at No. 6.

Seasoned reggaetonero Tony Dize popped up to join the party at Yankee Stadium and performed “La Corriente,” the only song on Bunny’s latest album that was co-produced by both MAG and Tainy. A.k.a. Dize, a.k.a. La Melodía de la Calle (also the name of his debut album from 2008) further helped amped up the crowd in New York with his energetic swagger.

The spunky Peruvian trio Tourista have been delivering indie alt-pop rock before Latin trap or reggaeton exploded worldwide, and they were invited to be the opening act of the Bunny’s Lima stop at Estadio Nacional. What may have seemed as a collision of music worlds didn’t seem so unlikely, considering that Benito has mastered intersection between Latin alternative and its counterpart, música urbana .

Member Rui Pereira said on Instagram , “We are a band that comes from indie rock and some time ago we started to fuse urban music… but as Benito Martinez said, ‘we do what we want’. In the end, music is one, and what it’s about is connecting with the public, and that’s what we’ll do at the Nacional”. The band wes followed by DJ Towa.

Villano Antillano

Puerto Rican rapper Villano Antillano has been enjoying a meteoric rise, especially since she demonstrated her sheer lyrical power in the viral Bizarrap sessions in June in a collaboration that can only be described as epic. “BZRP Music Session #5” gave her career an almost instant boost, and her star rose even higher when she rapped that song at Bad Bunny’s show at the Coliseo in July, a month after its release.

Young Miko

Another rising artist who came to the stage at El Choli was the young rapper Young Miko, who sang her own trap track “Riri,” a hard-hitting single that dropped in July. The lyricist from Añasco, Puerto Rico recently signed with BMI, and her musical approach experiments with hip-hop, reggae and rock configurations.

Honorable Mention: Carmelo Anthony

During Bad Bunny’s second date at Yankee Stadium (Aug. 28), his performance of “Tití Me Preguntó” — which in part evoked the famous and then-controversial kiss between Madonna, Britney, and Christina Aguilera at the 2003 MTV VMAs — was broadcast for aforesaid awards. What Benito did not expect, however, was for former NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony to surprise him with the coveted MTV VMA for Artist of the Year. It was jaw-dropping all around.

The event stated that it would begin at 7pm. It didnt start till almost 9pm. It would be helpful if the start time was more accurate. Overall, it was a good performance. Wish there was some performance before the concert. I did enjoy how the effects were presented, love the bracelets that were on the seats. The surprised guest fantastic. Will I come to another concert of Bad Bunny, probably not for a long time. Hoping that he comes out with more surprises later in the future.

Proclaimed the most listened-to artist in the world for a second consecutive year by Spotify, Bad Bunny has distinguished himself for his revolutionary moves that constantly impact the music industry.

Bad Bunny Just Casually Dropped a Music Video & Some New Concert Dates

bad bunny tour panama

Bad Bunny is taking us behind the scenes like never before. To celebrate his birthday today (March 10), the Puerto Rican artist released his newest visuals for “ACHO PR” featuring Arcángel, De La Ghetto, and Ñengo Flow, from his latest album nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana . He also announced his highly-anticipated concerts at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in Puerto Rico on June 7-8.

Benito is known for dropping albums or music videos during special dates. In this case, he released his newest music video that gives his fans an intimate look behind his music-making and recent special events for his birthday. The new visuals feature each artist recording and vibing to the track from Benito’s most recent trap-driven album. Bad Bunny is shown laughing and enjoying the song as the other artists record their verses. Other frames show how Benito guides the artists to execute their lines and the song’s hard-hitting vibe. Other shots show Benito in his mundane activities, such as recording other songs, recording his video for  “MONACO,”  BTS scenes at his  Saturday Night Live  appearance , and accepting prestigious awards.

At the end of the video, the music star took the opportunity to announce his highly anticipated concert dates in Puerto Rico. He will bring his Most Wanted Tour to his people at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot on June 7 and 8.

Today is a big day for Benito. Not only did he release his newest music video for his album  nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana , but he’s also slated to present an award at the 2024 Oscars ceremony.  Other Latine presenters  include America Ferrera, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rita Moreno, and Lupita Nyong’o.

Bad Bunny delivers explosive latin trap in San Francisco

Green lights shine up from a hemisphere-shaped stage in Chase Center of San Francisco, illuminating silhouettes of audience members waving their arms to the music.

Editor’s Note: This article is a review and includes subjective opinions, thoughts and critiques.

Emerging on stage through rolling fog, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio or Bad Bunny gave an electrifying and unforgettable performance at his Most Wanted Tour on Saturday night in San Francisco.

As the artist stepped onstage at the Chase Center, anticipatory strings built excitement among audience members, while the atmosphere crackled with energy.

The Most Wanted Tour is Puerto Rican rapper and singer-songwriter Bad Bunny’s fifth concert tour, launched as he promotes his fifth studio album, “nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana” (“Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow” in Spanish).

The tour features 47 dates across 31 cities in North America, showcasing Bad Bunny’s trap-inspired music to his dedicated fan base.

The opening performance featured a unique orchestral arrangement by the 24-member Philharmonic Orchestra Project, led by Grammy-winning conductor Carlitos Lopez. The orchestral suite lasted approximately nine minutes, creating a cinematic atmosphere in the venue as anticipation built.

Bad Bunny entered in a black suit and a head scarf that partially covered his features before opening the concert with a Drake-adjacent lament on celebrity insecurity, “NADIE SABE.” His performance sustained the energy of audience members as he took over the stage, with pyrotechnics and dynamic colorful lights extending to the back of the stadium.

With the crowd already hyped, the rest of Bad Bunny’s show testified to his musicianship and affinity for performance. The concert was divided into four acts during which Bad Bunny changed outfits and shifted his location on the stage. The crowd’s energy reached its peak as the artist delved into his more familiar hits like “Efecto” and “25/8” during acts two and four.

One standout moment occurred when Bad Bunny showcased vulnerability in a heartfelt acoustic rendition of “GRACIAS POR NADA” while seated atop a piano. His vocals were pure and precise, demonstrating his skillful vocal training and adding depth to his emotional expression. This performance highlighted Bad Bunny’s versatility as an artist, forging a more personal connection with his audience and serving as a stark contrast to his other high-energy songs like “MONACO” and “CYBERTRUCK.”

Bad Bunny’s stage presence was magnetic as he seamlessly shifted between tough and playful personas, captivating the audience with his blustery rap verses and melodic vocals. His explosive performances, seamless transitions and genuine interactions with fans remain unmatched. He engaged with fans throughout the arena, frequently moving around the stage, waving to different sections of the crowd and acknowledging signs and messages from audience members.

The concert was full of surprises; Bad Bunny once returned to the stage while riding on the back of a live horse as a nod to the illustrated Wild West scene depicted on the album cover of “nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana.”

Being the performer he is, Bad Bunny had some other tricks up his sleeves — false endings. Just when it seemed like the show was over, Bad Bunny returned for an encore, much to the crowd’s delight. The artist skillfully maintained momentum, delivering an exhilarating finale with hits like “La Jumpa” and “Me Porto Bonito.” Even after concluding his encore, the musician left everyone yearning for more.

While some fans may have been disappointed not to hear “Tití Me Preguntó” — one of Bad Bunny’s biggest hits and my personal favorite — the evening was still a remarkable experience filled with fantastic music and unforgettable moments.

Review: Bad Bunny rides a horse, rocks the house during huge Bay Area show

A music star has to be pretty confident in their ability to move tickets in order to advertise a tour with the caveat: “If you’re not a real fan, don’t come.”

Fortunately, Bad Bunny ranks as one of the very biggest stars on the planet, and, as such, moving tickets isn’t a problem for this Puerto Rican rapper. So, despite shooing away all the nonreal fans, the Bunny man was still able to fill the Chase Center in San Francisco to capacity for two nights, Friday and Saturday (March 1-2), over the weekend.

On the second night, the 29-year-old “King of Latin Trap” would delight his loyal fanbase with a fiery, action-packed multi-set show that ran almost exactly two hours and included some three dozen songs.

The fans seemed to know every single number — including every single word of every single lyric — by heart, which is a testament to just how much time Bad Bunny’s listeners devote to his music. He has ranked as the most-streamed artist in the world on Spotify in two of the last three years — taking the top prize in 2021 and 2022, then falling to second, just behind Taylor Swift, in 2023.

The show was performed in the round, with the action taking place on the arena floor and seating for fans on all sides. There were actually two semi-circle stages in use — one placed at each side of the arena floor — with a standing-room section for fans between the two.

The concert kicked off in dramatic fashion as the Philharmonic Orchestra Project, under the direction of conductor Carlitos Lopez (a Latin Grammy Award in the best Christian album category), took over one of the two stages and nicely set the mood for what was to come. Minutes later, Bad Bunny — whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio — took the other stage and The Most Wanted Tour was off to the races.

Bad Bunny stuck mainly to his latest (and fifth overall) solo studio album — last year’s “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana” (translation: Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow) — during the first segment of the show, delighting fans with such selections as “Nadie Sabe,” “Hibiki,” “Fina” and “Monaco.”

There was much razzmatazz on display, as Bad Bunny showed off his lyrical prowess amid an ever-changing swirl of visual stimuli, which included, but was certainly not limited to, 18 high-energy dancers, minor pyrotechnics, major laser displays and a floating skybridge that allowed the star to move between the two stages.

Oh, did we mention the horse? Yeah, following one of the breaks in the action, Bad Bunny rode into view atop a horse — mimicking, in a much safer fashion, the illustrated Wild West/cowboy scene found on the album cover of “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana.” His fans have also greatly embraced the whole Western motif, with a huge number of them showing up for Saturday’s concert in cowboy hats.

The Western theme also factored into one of the coolest special effects of the nights, as fans were given boot-shaped plastic necklaces (complete with spurs!) as they walked into the venue. Those boots then pulsed with a variety of lights at opportune times during the concert, to provide a dizzying light display throughout the crowd. We’re not talking about simple blinking (although that happened as well), but rather elaborately choreographed and staged light shows that absolutely boggled the mind.

Bad Bunny then slowed the party down for a bit, taking a seat atop a piano while a sole accompanist handled the keys during a segment that included a lovely version of “Gracias por Nada.” Then he was back in full fiesta mode and drove the show to a close with such memorable numbers as “La Jumpa” and “Me Porto Bonito.”

It was a strong finish to what had been a massive week for live music in the Bay Area, with the other top shows being Madonna’s two nights at Chase Center on Feb. 27-28 and Nicki Minaj’s tour opener at Oakland Arena on March 1.
