What other guests say about our tours and locals
Ari is the best guide!!
"We booked a food tour in Madrid with Ari and it was absolutely perfect! Ari was waiting at our meeting spot and it was like spending the day with a good friend!! She told us all kinds of interesting things while keeping the day fun and easy with some of the best food in Madrid! She also gave us additional restaurant recommendations which are all great! I will recommend her to anyone and hope to book a tour with her again if I can get back to Madrid. 🤗🤗🤗"
Authentic introduction to Madrid
"Maria was very friendly and passionate about sharing her love of the culture in both Spain and Madrid. She went out of her way to make sure we saw the true heart of the city and got a small slice of what it means to live in Madrid. Maria showed us some great spots to visit and gave us a taste of some excellent Tapas around the city. She also went out of her way to show what makes Madrid a special city. Cannot recommend this experience enough!"
Interesting and pleasant - Eva nailed it!
"Very nice walk, combining landmark buildings with history and local shops. Eva made it a great experience."
Mateo rocks
"Had a great Kickstart tour of Madrid loved it .Mateo is very knowledgeable "
Madrid with the master
"Sometimes things work out well, and sometimes they are the very best. Drica was knowledgeable, patient, funny, most helpful, and made our experience the very best. I wish we had another tour with her. If you come to Madrid, and don’t set up a tour with Drica, you will be missing out."
Great experience at El Prado Museum
"Govi guided us into an inmerse and detailed experience through the important higlights of the Museum, she complemented with history and images with her ipad. Showed us the most intringuing details of the master pieces of art. We had a great time, Govi is an excellent and professional guide. "
Excellent tour guide
"I felt like she was a great guide. Through the city she was very good at telling us the history while being authentic. She took us to some of the best food locations. She gave us a great experience and I would definitely recommend to her to anyone. "
A day with Ariadna
"Ariadna you are the best. We thoroughly enjoyed your tour of Madrid with the food and sites that you showed us. We have left your city with a great understanding of history and food. Loved the Calamari Sandwich. We are richer for meeting you. Ron and Sam"
going around with a friend
"10 tastes with Ariadna was an excellent experience that I highly recommend. It was just Ari, me, and one friend. She took us to a bunch of different spots, and had some great tips on other spots that we passed. I really liked almost everything that we tried, and thought we got a good feeling for the most popular and easy Spanish foods. Ari was very warm and easy to talk to, but she didn't talk your ear off about history or the city, she didn't go on and on about herself, or make a ton of small talk like "where are you from, what's your job, etc." It was nice and relaxed like hanging out with a friend. We were very happy to meet her and would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Madrid."
We LOVED LOVED LOVED Elena! She's the BEST
"We were so so so so fortunate to have Elena as our private guide for a tour of the impressive El Prado Museum in Spain. I cannot imagine this visit going any better than what it did. Anyone who has gone to El Prado will understand how daunting it may feel to be within the expansive El Prado and feel like they are maximizing their time within these historic walls. In comes Elena - vibrant, smiling, knowledgeable, engaging, smart, funny, and all the other positive superlatives in the world. She single handedly made this a super engaging and enriching experience for our family of four. Our two teenagers remained engaged with her at all times. Not an easy feat!!!!!!!!! Elena made the paintings come to life. Her commentary was always on point, interesting and value adding. We were surprised at how quickly we developed a wonderful rapport with Elena. We wish her all the best and remind her that she has new friends in California. Do not hesitate to book her. She is a GEM."

I expected the tour to be good because of the places we went to. But our guide was excellent. The Hotels and the meals provided on the tour exceeded my expectations. It was also nice because the people in our group were very nice and everyone was on time for departures.

Charming Spain - 9 Days
Thanks for the opportunity to comment on the tour. We had a wonderful time for most of the trip. We loved the cities visited and enjoyed almost all the organized tours. The length of the trip was about right and most of the hotels were very comfortable. Luisa the logistics person did an admirable job and was very helpful. There were a few disappointments. Before reaching Granada the bus broke down and we had to wait in the bus for an hour and a half or so. We were given little information as to what was happening….this could easily have been avoided. The breakdown made us late for our Alhambra tour which was unfortunately ruined by the weather. We started late, and, as we started, there was a torrential downpour. The local guide sped up the commentary and then, before closing time, rushed us back through the pouring rain to get to the bus - we got soaked! One woman had a nasty falll and it was unsafe for people to run on slippery ground stones during an electrical storm. My wife’s passport got wet and her shoes wrecked. The rush was not at all necessary as the downpour stopped as soon as we returned to the bus. The hotel in Granada was not up the usual standard of the trip. The meals at truck stops were sometimes of rather poor quality however, I realize it is difficult to keep only to places that have good food options while touring by road. The hotel in Barcelona , while very comfortable, was way out of the centre of Barcelona - the location was disappointing . Finally, the constant use of Spanish and English translations became somewhat tedious. Some guides spoke in Spanish for what seemed a long time and then quickly covered some of the material that they had just presented in Spanish in English. A number of our English speaking colleagues found this quite trying. I would like to compliment Tour leader Luisa, and guides Christina (Madrid), Anna (Seville), Isaac (Valencia) and Rosa (Barcelona).

Best of Southern Spain
Great guide and amazing food. The itinerary was covering all the places that we were expecting to see. Excellent experience on our first G adventure tour .
Andalucia & Toledo, 5 days on Tuesdays
The tour was great! We went to so many places and all were fantastic. I would love to return to every one of them and spend more time exploring their magic. Our guide (Esme) was fantastic!

Spanish Wonder (End Barcelona, 9 Days)
Our tour director Kassie Jones was amazing. She was always there to help out, always with a smile and no problem was too much. She took interest in our group and made sure that we were all having a wonderful experience. Her local knowledge of the places we visited was fantastic and her little surprises made it very special. It was the first time that I used Cost Savers and she made it an memorable one.
Andalusia with Cordoba, Costa del Sol and Toledo from Madrid
An unforgetable experience through the south of Spain.

Madrid and Barcelona dept Saturday
Excellent tour, management and tour guides knows their jobs very well. I will book with them again.
Spanish Experience (End Barcelona, 9 Days)
Too many panoramic views and not enough getting off the bus. Often the key attraction is on the other side of the bus, or a tree or truck is blocking the view. Great locations visited, hotels a long way from citycenter and often limited other food options.
Madrid and Andalusia (6 destinations)
The last hotel in Seville (the Yit) did not meet our expectations. We waited for the elevators for up to 20 minutes, being on the 13 floor walking the stairs with luggage is not much of an option. Eating breakfast was like a school yard fight, and the lighting in our hall way was flicking off every 20 seconds during our 20 minute wait for the elevator (maybe the can set their timers to 15 minutes) it was a potential safety hazard as the hallway was very dark till you triggered the motion detector. In general it was a good trip, a suggestion is to post the tour guides name in the prior evening as to avoid the morning confusion (exasperated by trying to get out of a hectic breakfast and moving luggage with inefficient elevators) The actual tour guides were both nice and knowledgeable, suggestions like the river park in Madrid and the restaurant suggestion’s in Seville really added to our experience.
Northern Spain (Classic, End Barcelona, 11 Days)
The tour was a relaxed pace, not too rushed which was nice & the start times in the morning were not too early which was nice as that makes the tour feel more like a vacation. The sights and inclusions were really good and there was no hard sell to take then up by the tour director. The tour took in a not so travelled route of Spain, but none the less the scenery was stunning and beautiful. I wish in some areas we could have spent more time, but not too worry next time.
Spanish Experience (End Madrid, 9 Days)
It was amazing. Loved the tour director Rachel a Thomson and the wonderful people we met. Tour was nicely planned and I enjoyed it very much .
From Madrid to Barcelona
The tour was extraordinary, the guides were good, friendly and helpful, everything was beyond expectations.
Spanish Ring ( 11 days )
Great tour is what I can say !
Absolutely Spain
The program is well organized for solo travelers. Highly advised.
Reviews of Spain Tours from Madrid
Enjoyed the tour. The overall area was quite large to see-a lot of road time. Luisa, the bus driver and the local guides were very nice and patient. A tour that focused on 2 or 3 metro areas with more local activites would be an alternative idea.
Good service, nice tourist attraction

The time around Easter is going to be extremely busy in Sevilla. If you don't already have train tickets and lodging, you may be out of luck, or at least prepare yourself for paying a premium.
You really do not need a driver in Madrid, as it is very walkable. If you will insist on a driver, be prepared to sit in lines of traffic breathing in polluted air.
As David said, we know nothing about you, or your interests. Surely you want to see and do things which appeal to you, your daughters, and mother in law, rather than do what complete strangers might enjoy. Why not do a little self research and get the rest of your family onboard. There are lots of videos on You Tube which can give you an insight. Once you have drafted an itinerary, post back, and we can help you schedule it to make the best use of your time.
Flamenco is very much associated with Andalucia - not sure why you wouldn’t want to see a show in Sevilla.
Sevilla is super busy during Semana Santa. Have you looked at accommodation and travel availability?
I would like to add just some general thoughts about your questions.
Any sort of private service (a driver or so) it is likely to be very, very, expensive. Tours could be OK if chosen carefully, otherwise, get ready to spend a lot of time on the road, and be moved from place to place with minimum time to enjoy.
Food choices in Spain are magnificent. Use the TA resources to select the eateries that you like. BTW, a recent discussion thread, describes the sort of food you may want to enjoy. See the link below.
https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187514-i126-k14688160-Local_cuisine_for_one-Madrid.html
