A brilliant tour and great value.
My daughter booked the tour as a birthday gift. We were unable to go on the original date, but the brewery were very accommodating with a rearranged date. The tour was great, very informative and interesting. Our guide, Malcolm was brilliant. All the staff were great, the food was awesome. But the best of course was the beer. Three pints in with the price of the trip, with plenty of choice and all great brews.
I've thought about visiting for a while and when I mentioned it to my wife she booked it as a surprise. It's well worth doing the brewery tour, I've been on many a tour but this has been by far the best. What Malcolm the guide doesn't know about brewing isn't worth knowing. People who tend to be experts can sometimes be boring, but he isn't he is engaging, informative and interesting. I've learnt more about the process and art that on any other tour. You also get hot food, which was amazing, it was a simple beef stew but full of flavour, probably one of the best stews I've had in a good while.
Very good brewery tour informative and interesting with good shop and beer sampling was great Went with a pub group so plenty too drink and beef casserole was great to try and soak it up. Would definitely recommend for beer lovers
I went on a tour of the brewery as part of my hen do and we had a fantastic time. Our tour guide Malcolm was engaging, friendly and extremely informative. He took us on a detailed tour of the brewery, providing a wealth of history in each of the rooms and always explaining each bit of the process in an accessible style. We were issued 3 beer tokens and were provided with a lovely bowl of stew and bread (perfect to soak the the delicious beers!) after the tour and were allowed to sit and enjoy the beer for as long as we wanted. The shop had some fantastic souvenirs and allowed us to buy some of their fantastic beers and merchandise to take back home. Both Malcolm and the lady on the bar (sorry, I forget her name) were accommodating and friendly, both bending over backwards to make sure we had a good time. I highly recommend a visit to this lovely place.
I was bought the tour as a birthday present by my son and was looking forward to it for a month. Titanic run their tours every 2nd Saturday of the month, one at noon and one 2.30pm. We opted for the noon slot to make an afternoon of it and meander up to a couple of the fine hostelries up in Burslem. Our tour guide was Malc, who I would say was born into this role as he was superb. Having run pubs and worked at the Brewery museum in Burton, his knowledge was top notch and delivered with good humour. We kicked off in the Sample room, and once booked in, Malc issued each of us with 3 bottle caps which were the currency for the 3 pints you get on the tour. The first went on a delicious pint of Plum porter whilst Malc proceeded with the beginnings of the history of the Brewery, after which we took our beer to the tour with us. The tour was light-hearted, informative and at a nice steady relaxed pace. It is all on one level so no stairs to climb. When we got back to the sample room we bought our second pint when we were served with a nice bowl of lobby (stew) and a slice of fresh crusty bread. It was delicious and perfect ballast for our planned foray to the pubs afterwards. By the time we got to our 3rd pint, some of the 2.30pm tour started to arrive, but there was no rush to get us out; in fact we were told that we were welcome to stay back and continue drinking if we desired as they would take cash at the bar. All in all, this was one of the best brewery tours we've been on, and it is excellent value for money. I do intend to travel up from Birmingham again.
I came here with my Brother in Law as a treat for his Birthday and what a treat it was, we arrived for the 14.30 tour and after being booked in by Malcolm, we were given our tokens for our complimentary pints and set about tackling our first one. Once everyone was gathered we followed Malcolm for the most informative tour i have ever been on, he has it all, history, information and a lot of wit. After the tour we used our other 2 tokens to was down the delicious lobby that is also provided. All in all i think it was the best £15 i have ever spent and you can get bargains from the shop when you have finished.

Excellent mix of local history and beer, lots of fun
Even if you are not interested in beer this tour incorporates lots of local history and culture from local guides. Very friendly and welcoming. Of course the beer is important and it’s fantastic to be able to drink the iconic plum porter at the source. The Stoke lobby for lunch is completely authentic, just like my Stoke wife makes
Slowing become an annual Christmas event for the lads at Bristol street crewe and what makes this tour tick apart from the beer is lovely Lynn and her team. She really gets the tour going with her enthusiasm, but what is brilliant is the cost of the tour against what you get,it’s fantastic. So do not hesitate and get a tour booked
Fantastic Tour, well worth the money! 2.5 hours, 3 Pints, Bowl of Lobby and a very funny and knowledgeable Lynne. We are big fans of the Plum Porter and travelled from Manchester to visit the brewery - it did not disappoint. We would recommend this tour to any Plum Porter or Ale Fans.
Absolutely fantastic tour. The Lady leading the tour was lovely, a great personality and made us all feel very welcome. It goes without staying that the beer was superb, the food a great addition, and the other members of staff couldn't have been much more friendly. Highly recommended.
I've been on several different brewery tours and this one certainly ranks up there as being one of the most enjoyable! The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the brewery, brewing process &local history and made it an intriguing and fun afternoon. We had a good laugh! Good value for money too, as you get 3 pints of beer and food (in our case a beef stew) on top. Would certainly recommend to any ale drinker!
It was a great visit and tour with excellent beer and good food too. Highly recommended. Lynne our tour guide was knowledgeable and personable

‘Hundreds of Beavers’ Review: A Singular Live-Action Cartoon of Inspired Slapstick
Director Mike Cheslik and co-writer/star Ryland Tews’ second feature collaboration is a DIY delight, reinventing silent comedy on its own antic terms.

Those dismayed by the cancellation of the big-budget “Coyote vs. Acme” — a high-profile casualty of the recent Hollywood trend towards pulling the plug on near-completed projects — may find consolation and then some in “ Hundreds of Beavers .” That is, if they become aware of it, of course. Chances are good that they will, eventually, as this DIY delight has begun self-distributing to North American theaters following a long tour on the regional festival circuit. It’s sure to develop a significant cult following with its unique mix of silent-era slapstick, animation elements, theme-park-style critter costumes, and general air of inspired absurdity.
It begins with a bona fide production number telling the tale of Jean Kayak (Tews), a woodsy entrepreneur whose excessive love of his own inebriative applejack leads to the wholesale destruction of his orchards and brewery — much expedited by a plague of ravenous local beavers. This song (also written by the actor) is staged in a pleasing style of simple animation, with our lone live-action figure as much a human cartoon as Bruce Campbell in the original “Evil Dead” films.
Those pesky pulp-chewers are an army unto themselves, one that’s hard to outsmart, and is quite capable of offensive as well as defensive tactics. Amidst this titanic struggle, the protagonist gains from the knowhow of two more experienced trappers (Doug Mancheski, Lu Rico), though they do not necessarily benefit from being drawn into his interspecies war.
Boasting a purported 1500+ “effects shots,” the film builds a singular comic universe out of the aforementioned elements, plus puppetry, miniatures, cartoonish props, and other practical as well as post-production devices. But for all that invention, the driving factor here is rubber-faced Tews’ physical clowning, as well as the precision with which DP Quinn Hester’s monochrome compositions and Cheslik’s astute editing milk every gag without belaboring it.
Such timing allows jokes both simple (i.e. falling in ice-holes) and elaborate (a Rube Goldbergian climax at the beavers’ highly automated HQ) to repeat in near-endless variations without growing repetitious, while rare misfiring bits are over in a trice. One assumes much of that success rate must also be due to Mike Wesolowski, whose credit as “gag man” has been seldom seen since the heyday of Hal Roach Studios. A big part of the fun is the soundtrack, which — with its combined foley effects, nonverbal exclamations, amusingly selected library music, and diverse original score by Chris Ryan — proves equal to the visual imagination on display.
Itself a sort of vast homage to comedy traditions past, “Hundreds of Beavers” will certainly recall for many viewers the Road Runner v. Coyote saga, as well as pre-talkie knockabout humor, frontier parody “Cannibal: The Musical,” pioneering screen fantasists Georges Melies and Karel Zeman, and so on. On paper, it would hardly be expected to remain funny for eight minutes, let alone 108. But this ingeniously home-made lark never runs out of steam.

Because Captain Edward John Smith was born right here in the city of Stoke-on-Trent. And much like the iconic ship, the Titanic Brewery tour offers an immersive voyage into the world of craft beer. The tour costs a modest £15, which gets you three beer tokens, a hot meal, and the all important tour, which we considered to be phenomenal value.
