I am buzzing to get on the road with the gang.”

Wildlife cameraman Hamza, who is currently one of the Strictly favourites to win the show, said of the tour: “ Strictly has changed my life in ways I never imagined, so to be doing the tour on top of it all is a dream come true.

“I’ve heard the tour audiences are unparalleled, so I’ll be relishing the atmosphere every night, and I’m so excited to share that experience with my fellow dancers — not to mention the judges.”

Actress, singer and TV presenter Molly also commented: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Strictly Live Tour . Performing for the huge arena crowds across the UK is going to be an incredible experience.

Amy Dowden surprises Strictly Come Dancing cast on live tour

Amy Dowden surprised her fellow Strictly Come Dancing co-stars during the Nottingham leg of their live tour .

The professional dancer, 33, has been a staple of the BBC dance competition since she joined in 2017 and is much- loved among fans of the show .

However, Dowden did not compete in 2023’s series due to undergoing treatment for breast cancer , which included chemotherapy and a mastectomy last year .

After the 2023 season of the dancing show concluded – with Coronation Street star Ellie Leach and her partner Vito Copolla taking home the glitterball trophy – cast members including Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Angela Rippon, Annabel Croft and Bobby Brazier announced they were appearing in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.

The cast, who are currently performing at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, were surprised by Dowden when she showed up at their dressing room while they were getting ready for showtime.

One photograph shows Dowden poking her head around a door as her co-stars are relaxing in a dressing room.

Longtime professional Katya Jones shared a picture with Dowden to her Instagram Stories, writing: “Guess who surprised us all last night.”

A follow-up photo showed Amy hugging professional dancer Nancy Xu, with Jones writing: “All the hugs.”

Strictly professional Diane Buswell, who is a close friend of Dowden’s, expressed her excitement to have had the surprise visit.

“The cup to my tea surprised us all yesterday and came to the show,” she wrote on Instagram. “it was Well Lush. I loves you I do.”

Coppola wrote: “Oh Amyyyyyyyy I was sooooo happy to see you. Beautiful surprise. When I have heard your voice I jumped. Hope you enjoyed the show and we cannot wait to have you back us in the dance floor. Love youuuuuuu.”

There were also comments from fellow co-stars Jowita Pryzstal and Johannes Radebe, with Pryzstal writing: “Awww was so nice to see you Amy. best surprise!”

Layton Williams and his partner Nikita Kuzmin, Leach and Copolla, Rippon and her partner Kai Widdrington and Angela Scanlon and her partner Carlos Gu are all performing on the Strictly tour. Tennis player Annabel Croft is paired up with Graziano Di Prima, after dancing with Johannes Radebe during the TV series.

Dowden, who finished her last bout of chemotherapy in November, has said that she hopes she can return to Strictly later this year and win the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

The Strictly Come Dancing tour will finish on 11 February at the O2 arena, while the TV show will return later this year on BBC One.

Fans of the hit BBC show will be able to see Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington, Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu, Annabel Croft and Graziano Di Prima, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, show winners Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Jowita Przystał and Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin take to the stage before their very eyes if they snap up a ticket and go along.

And furthermore, a number of dance professionals will also attend, to add more feet to big live performances - with Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Robbie Kmetoni, Jake Leigh and Nancy Xu all taking part. But one noticeable absentee is 33-year-old Giovanni who was paired with 51-year-old actress Amanda Abbington for the 2023 season.

Fans of Strictly will be well aware that Amanda dramatically quit the 2023 contest due to personal reasons - taking Giovanni out of the contest too. And more recently, the star has revealed she is considering legal options against Strictly as reports have suggested she is suffering from Symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from her time on the show - while reports had previously suggested she and Giovanni had clashed behind-the-scenes of the show.

It seems Giovanni will not be taking part in the live show - which kicks off in Birmingham on Friday 19 January at 7:30pm. Ahead of the shock kicking off, cosy snaps of the dance stars and celebs rehearsing together have been shared - with Gio nowhere to be seen.

Victors Ellie, 22, and Vito, 31, looked as affectionate as ever when they posed for photos on a staircase. The Italian hunk placed an arm round the soap actress while she flashed a winning smile and the pair looked slightly coordinated in dark clothing. While runners up Layton, 29, and Nikita, 26, looked relaxed in each others’ company.

Taking a seat on the same steps, the lads flashed beaming smiles - as Layton leaned into his dance partner and Nikita draped a hand over the Bad Education star’s shoulder. Fellow runners up Bobby, 20, and Dianne, 34, stood together on the steps - with the soap actor towering above the Aussie pro dancer. Dianne looked electric in a fluorescent lime coloured crop too, while Bobby flashed a dazzling smile while draped in designer sportswear.

At 79, Angela Rippon is the oldest of the team - but she looks to be melting easily into rehearsals as snaps of her in action with 26-year-old Kai showed her bending and stretching across the rehearsals stage. The broadcaster stunned Strictly fans last year as she performed daring splits on screen and skipped effortlessly across the stage with the energy of some of her fellow contestants who are less than half her age.

Annabel, 57, won over fans in the 2023 season as she was paired with 36-year-old Johannes Radebe - but for the live tour she is dancing with 29-year-old Graziano. Annabel previously explained that she wouldn’t be pairing with Johannes on tour - as he needed a well earned rest.

Appearing on Lorraine last month, she said: “We're both sad about [not doing the tour together]. I think that Johannes has his own tour, so he's promoting his own show and I think it was too close to this tour and his body also needs a rest.”

She added: “He needs to recharge his batteries so I think he's probably sad that he couldn't make it work but I hear that term 'keep dancing' and I now realise what that is because I do want to keep dancing. When I got the opportunity to do the tour, I thought 'oh wow, how wonderful to just keep going.’ But of course, I'd love to have been with him.”

Meanwhile, Channel 4 star Krishnan, 53, has also swapped his dance professional for the live tour - having been paired with 32-year-old Lauren Oakley and he will now be taking to the stage with 29-year-old Jowita. Krishnan previously declared he had felt conflicted about dancing without Lauren.

Taking to social media in November 2023, he wrote: “We're at it again!! I'm going on the Strictly Come Dancing tour!! It's going to be fantastic, but it's going to be different since @laurenmayoakley was already committed to touring with @giovannipernice, so it was a big decision for me and I went back and forth about it. But with Lauren’s trademark encouragement I’m very excited to be dancing with the amazing @jowitaprzystal so CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEW YEAR! xxxx”

While Giovanni is not involved in the tour, it is possible the drama surrounding him, Amanda, and rumoured legal action is gliding off him like water on a duck. Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, and reviewing recent photos of the BBC star with his colleagues, body language expert Judi James previously revealed: "Every studio has a small group of smokers gathered outside in the break and Giovanni’s body language looks little different from anyone else might do, standing out in the cold having a chat."

She explains further: "His facial expression appears to show a state of reasonable good humour as though he is being philosophical about the current headlines, but there is no scowling or hunching to suggest he’s suffering from any desire to hide or any suppressed anger. His eyes are slightly narrowed but wrinkled at the outer edges to suggest a faint eye smile and the puckering around his mouth and the slight curls at the corner suggest he’s being stoic rather than anxious. His hand is stuffed in his pocket, but in the freezing weather that’s likely to be caused by the chill rather than a desire to hide."

Strictly Come Dancing Live announces further celebrities joining the 2023 UK arena tour

strictly come dancing tour uk

Two more celebrities have been announced to join the scintillating line-up for next year’s hotly-anticipated Strictly Come Dancing Live UK Tour: singer, actor and presenter Molly Rainford and wildlife cameraman and Countryfile presenter Hamza Yassin.

They will join previously announced Will Mellor, Ellie Simmonds and Tyler West for 32 sparkle-filled shows kicking off in January.

Molly Rainford said: “I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the Strictly Live Tour, performing for the huge arena crowds across the UK is going to be an incredible experience. I’m really looking forward to continuing my amazing Strictly journey and getting out on the road to meet all the fans."

Hamza Yassin said: “Strictly has changed my life in ways I never imagined, so to be doing the tour on top of it all is a dream come true! I’ve heard the tour audiences are unparalleled, so I’ll be relishing the atmosphere every night, and I’m so excited to share that experience with my fellow dancers – not to mention the judges.”

The celebrities and professionals will be joined on the road by Strictly TV judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke – who is part of the tour for the first time – with the sensational Janette Manrara as host.

Opening at the Utilita Arena Birmingham on 20 January, the tour will then waltz around the UK to some of the biggest entertainment venues: Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, Leeds’ First Direct Arena, the AO Arena Manchester, Sheffield’s Utilita Arena, Newcastle’s Utilita Arena, London’s O2 Arena, the SSE Arena Belfast, before culminating at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on 12 February.

The Strictly Live Tour showcases all the breathtaking choreography, stunningly sparkly costumes and fantastic live music synonymous with BBC One’s long-running and hugely loved Strictly Come Dancing TV show – which is currently on our screens, with the final due to take place on 17 December.

The 2023 tour will be directed once again by the A-MAZ-ING Strictly TV Judge Craig Revel Horwood. The show will feature many of the celebrities and professional dancers from the current series of the multi-award-winning BBC One show, together with the Strictly Live Band - a great way to celebrate the 20th series of this entertainment phenomenon.

Audiences around the UK can experience everything they love about the TV show live on stage, getting the chance to not only watch the spectacular stars in action as they perform roof-raising routines, but also the power to decide who wins the Gliderball Trophy at the end of each show. The tour judges will provide their invaluable wisdom, advice and scores at each performance, but the audience vote via text for their favourite couple, and it is ultimately their votes which decide who wins!

Each performance of the tour will host a British Sign Language interpreter, who will be displayed on two very large screens either side of the stage so that attendees can book tickets and sit almost anywhere in the arena to enjoy the experience with family and friends.

Strictly couples reunite for cute brunch date with new babies

"Lyra and Tio are already the best of mates."

preview for Gorka Marquez talks Gemma Atkinson wedding plans (Channel 4)

Janette, who welcomed a baby girl named Lyra with Aljaž last year, took to Instagram to share some adorable snaps from their parents-day out with Gemma and Gorka, who welcomed a baby boy named Tio in July .

The four parents can be seen enjoying their time together while Lyra and Tio asleep in pushchairs on either side, while another photo shows proud dads Aljaž and Gorka pushing their babies along on a walk.

"Good times seeing these guys for brunch today! Lyra and Tio are already the best of mates," Janette captioned the post.

Gemma shared the same photos to her own Instagram page, captioning it: "How different our catch ups are now. Not a tequila in sight! Tio and Lyra had a 2nd date. The rest of us had coffee and toast and a good natter."

The photos come shortly after Gemma shut down rumours that she and Gorka had split , clarifying that they often spend time away from each other due to their respective careers.

"It was actually my auntie who messaged me and said, ‘Is everything okay?’, and I was like 'Yeah, yeah, it’s fine'. I get that people find it strange that we are apart a lot but that’s how it’s always been since we met," she explained during a recent appearance on Lorraine .

"You don’t want to be so dependent on each other that you can’t do anything without them, and I think that’s what’s great about me and Gorka — is that on his own he’s great, on my own I’m great, but together it’s like unstoppable."

The couple first met while competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, before welcoming their first child together in 2019 and getting engaged in 2021 .

Meanwhile, Janette revealed last year that she and Aljaž would "love" to give their baby girl a sibling .

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Tickets for Strictly 's 2024 live arena tour are available now .
