Music legends and controversial Hottest 100 toppers The Offspring have announced a headline New Zealand tour, marking their first time here since 2018’s Good Things festival.
But they won’t be coming here alone. The tour will be joined by Canadian rockers Sum 41 , meaning it’s going to be one head-banging bout of 90’s nostalgia to remember.

Arts & entertainment, design & style, travel & leisure, search concrete playground, the offspring and sum 41 are heading down under for a huge punk-fuelled tour.
Grab your retro sneakers and get ready to dance to the winner of Triple J's Hottest 100 — from 1998.
It has been 21 years since The Offspring topped Triple J's Hottest 100 with 'Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)', a win that still ranks as the annual countdown's most controversial result to date. It has also been nearly four decades since the band first formed in the early 80s, and almost 30 years since it came to mainstream attention with hits like 'Come Out and Play' and 'Self Esteem' — but the Californian outfit isn't done belting out its catchy brand of punk just yet.
Offering music fans their latest huge blast from the past, The Offspring is heading to Australia and New Zealand for a massive tour in 2020. No, it won't be doing that brand new thing, but rather playing all of its famous tracks — including 'Gotta Get Away', 'Why Don't You Get a Job?', 'The Kids Aren't Alright' and the song that's forever cemented in Australian radio history, obviously.
Still led by frontman and guitarist Bryan "Dexter" Holland — the band's only remaining member from its initial 1984 lineup, so you can definitely call him the original prankster — The Offspring will hit up Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland in April. And, because one old-school band isn't enough, it'll have company in the form of Canada's Sum 41.
Basically, this big tour is your excuse to pretend its the late 90s and early 00s, bust out the appropriate attire — retro sneakers are a must — and get the words "gunter glieben glauchen globen" stuck in your head for another couple of decades.

The show was canceled due to protests for better living conditions in the country! Throughout the week, thousands of Chileans took to the streets to protest for improvements in health, education, transportation. Revolted by government corruption and tired of being exploited by the system.
Because of this situation, the offspring show had to be canceled
Sick show! The sound was good though the Luna park doesn't have a good acoustic. To me The Offspring is a up lifting band! So I spend the whole concert in to moshpit! So it was pretty enjoyable!

Today, The Offspring have announced their 2023 run – Let The Bad Times Roll Tour – with special guests Sum 41 and Simple Plan. “One of the best things about being on tour is traveling the world playing to great audiences, and it’s even better when you can do it with your friends – we had sold out International tours with Simple Plan and Sum 41, and we’re excited that they’ll be joining us this Summer in America. It’s going to be great!” said Dexter Holland of The Offspring
“We couldn’t be more excited to get back on tour all across the US with our friends The Offspring and Sum 41! We had such a blast touring with both of them last year that we just had to do it again and put together what we feel will be one of the most awesome tours of the summer. There’s nothing like going to see a show outside on a perfect summer night, and we hope our fans will join us and enjoy this really special show. See you there!” said Chuck Comeau of Simple Plan.
“We’re so excited to be back touring the States with The Offspring and Simple Plan this summer!” said Deryck Whibley of Sum 41. “There’s nothing better than hitting the road with your friends, and we can’t wait to bring the tour to you – see you soon!”
Frequently regarded as one of the best rock bands of all time, The Offspring have garnered a reputation for their unmistakable sound and social comment. The multi-platinum band first achieved worldwide success in the 90’s with the release of their album Smash, which sold over 11 million copies. Following Smash, they continued to release hit after hit, popularizing rock at a mainstream level. The group is also currently working on new music.
Throughout their career, they’ve sold over a staggering 40 million albums, and toured arenas, and built a global fan base. Let the Bad Times Roll marks the band’s tenth studio album and third album produced by the legendary Bob Rock. True to the irreverence at the core of their rock music, the band and lyricist Dexter Holland took a view to today’s cultural moments and didn’t shy away from creating topical material in this album.

ABOUT OFFSPRING
The Offspring is an American rock band from Garden Grove, California, formed in 1984. Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal, the band’s lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Bryan “Dexter” Holland, bassist Todd Morse and lead guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman. Over the course of their 38-year career, they have released ten studio albums. The Offspring is often credited—alongside fellow California bands Green Day and Rancid—for reviving mainstream interest in rock in the 1990s. They have sold over 40 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling rock bands in history.
ABOUT SIMPLE PLAN
From their new millennium rise to MTV superstardom through pop-punk’s modern resurgence, SIMPLE PLAN have been an indelible part of pop culture since forming in Montreal in 1999. They’ve sold 10 million albums worldwide, won multiple Juno Awards, performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics – and, most recently, launched the omnipresent #ImJustAKid TikTok challenge that’s spawned more than 3.4 million videos, including clips from Hilary Duff, Ed Sheeran, Usher and Venus and Serena Williams. But most importantly, they’ve never lost connection with what really matters: their audience.
That ambition is fully on display on the band’s sixth studio album, HARDER THAN IT LOOKS. The first self-released album from Comeau, vocalist Pierre Bouvier and guitarists Sébastien Lefebvre and Jeff Stinco, the album respects Simple Plan’s storied career while pushing forward in new ways, with songs like “The Antidote,” “Ruin My Life” (ft. Deryck Whibley),“Congratulations,” “Wake Me Up (When This Nightmare’s Over)” and “Iconic” set to stand as fan favorites for years to come.
ABOUT SUM 41
Looking back at the band’s storied 27-year career with over 15 million records sold worldwide, multiple Billboard Charting releases, a Grammy Award nomination, 2 Juno Awards (7 nominations), a Kerrang! Award in 2002, and multiple Alternative Press Music Awards , Sum 41 is still at the top of their game. Vocalist Deryck Whibley shas hared that the band’s new double album, titled Heaven and Hell , is shaping up to be the most ambitious of their career – half of the album brings Sum 41 back to their pop punk roots, Heaven , and half of the album is strictly metal, Hell .

About The Offspring
The Offspring are an 80's skate-punk band from Garden Grove, California. Driven by lead vocalist "Dexter," the group reached incredible heights thanks to their highly aggressive teenage relatable tracks. Credited for reviving the punk-rock current in the mid-'90s, along with other names such as Green Day, The Offspring has stirred a skate-punk rebellion in the hearts of teenagers. The Offspring have hit the ground running in the music industry. Albums like "Smash" or "Americana" have paved the way towards mainstream success. Whilst punk-rock was a frowned upon genre, The Offspring, managed to shift the balance in their favor. Tracks like "Self-Esteem" or "Pretty Fly For A White Guy" weren't debating the same punk ethics. While the aggressive tone of their music remained the same, they tackled issues adolescents, and young adults were facing in the '90s. Still, The Offspring are a band which 90's kids resonate with. Their music always sounds like youthful melancholia.

The Wiggles taking Groove Tour around New Zealand this September-October
The Wiggles are returning to New Zealand for shows in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Hamilton in late September and early October.
The Australian band was last in Aotearoa in August last year with their Hello! We're The Wiggles tour.
This year, the children's favourites will return with The Wiggle Groove Tour, promising classics like 'Fruit Salad', 'Hot Potato', 'Rock-A-Bye Your Bear' and exciting new tunes that will have your "toes tapping and hands clapping".
More from Newshub
As was the case in their last few visits to New Zealand, The Wiggles will be performing without Emma the Yellow Wiggles, but rather Tsehay in her place.
The current line-up consists of Anthony Field, Lachlan Gillespie, Simon Pryce, Tsehay Hawkins, Evie Ferris, John Pearce, Caterina Mete and Lucia Field.
Other characters set to join them on New Zealand stages include Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Shirley Shawn the Unicorn.
The Wiggle Groove Tour NZ dates:
- Auckland: September 28, Spark Arena
- Hamilton: September 29, Globox Arena
- Wellington: September 30, Michael Fowler Centre
- Christchurch: October 2, Wolfbrook Arena.
Ticketing information is available on the official The Wiggles website.

Kiwi kids get ready. The Wiggles are bringing their big red car to New Zealand again for a groovy new tour.

Kiwi kids and parents can expect to hear all the classics on repeat from Fruit Salad to Big Red Car as well as new songs from the group when the tour kicks off on September 28 in Auckland, winding up in Christchurch on October 2.
They’ll be making appearances in Hamilton and Wellington along the way.
Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster now.
The shows come off the back of The Wiggles star Caterina Mete, who made her debut as a red Wiggle in 2021, announcing last month that she is expecting twin girls .
In a statement released to the Herald , the 43-year-old revealed that with the help of IVF and an anonymous donor organised by her chosen fertility clinic, she is excited to announce she is pregnant with her “beautiful little miracles”.
While the mum-to-be will take maternity leave to spend time with her babies after they are born in July, she will continue to bring smiles to children’s faces with regular performances and recordings with The Wiggles until then - and it appears she will pop on her red skivvy in time to see her Kiwi fans in September.
