The Movie The Machine

23 years ago, Bert Kreischer had an infamous experience with Russian mobsters while on a booze-soaked college trip. That trip has come back to haunt him as he and his estranged father (Mark Hamill) are kidnapped back to Russia by the mob to atone for something they say he did. Kreischer’s dream is now a reality, wrapping up last month after a 17-date tour across North America — including the Orion Amphitheater in Huntsville, Alabama, and ending at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington. When the numbers are all reported to Billboard Boxscore, the tour is likely to come in at a more than $10 million gross, making it one of the top earning comedy tours of the year.

Headlined by Kreischer, who has seen his profile skyrocket in the last two years thanks to his films like 2023’s The Machine , comedy specials like Hey Big Boy and Razzle Dazzle and popular comedy podcasts including “2 Bears, 1 Cave” with fellow comedian Tom Segura , this year’s stacked lineup for Fully Loaded included  Mark Normand, Shane Gillis, Tiffany Haddish, Stavros Halkias, Fortune Feimster, Dave Attell, Lewis Black, Jim Norton, Andrew Santino, Big Jay Oakerson, Jay Pharoah, Dan Soder, Chad Daniels, Ralph Barbosa, Rosebud Baker  and  Tammy Pescatelli .

“Bert selects all of the talent for the show — its not being picked by a promoter or a talent buyer,” says manager Judi Marmel , a partner at Levity Talent. “In a world where nothing is agnostic, the festival is the purest form of an artist executing their vision.”

“Our intention for creating Fully Loaded was to build a lifestyle brand that represents all of the aspects of life that Bert enjoys the most, that could then support multiple ventures and revenue streams for years to come,” says Marmel.

Kreischer says his wife LeeAnn convinced him to invest the first years earnings from the 2022 run back into the festival and worked with a team of friends to book excursions and activities for participating comedians.

“We wanted to make it the best experience a comic could ever have with extra tour buses and plenty of amenities to make it feel like a great gig,” Kreischer says — like a visit to Churchhill Downs or batting practice with the home team at the stadium they were playing.

For this year’s tour, Kreischer says his team booked activities for every day of the tour, which was split into four separate four-day runs — June 14-17 playing Forest Hills Stadium in New York, followed by CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, PNC Field in Moosic, Penn. and Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford; June 22-25 at Turtle Creek Stadium in Traverse City, Michigan, Parkview Field in Fort Wayne, Indiana Enterprise Center in St Louis, Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. The tour then took a two week break before returning for eight more July dates, including a July 6 show at Huntsville, Alabama’s new Orion Amphitheater, a July 8 show at AutoZone Park in Memphis, a July 12 show at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and the show closer July 15 at the Gorge.

Kreischer says organizing the festival wasn’t always easy, having to sometimes make tough decisions like like deciding each night’s lineup, curated to fit the venue and market and momentum of the overall tour.

“There are certain acts that other comedians have a hard time following,” Kreisher says. “Acts like Chad Daniels, who was simply amazing. And I also had Tiffany Haddish on the lineup, who no one could f–king follow either. Most promoters wouldn’t give a s–t and say ‘just find someone to follow them,’ but as a comic, I had to say, “No that’s not how it works,” and I’m able to talk to a comedian like Dan Soder and ask him to open — and he’ll do it because he understands, and the request is coming from a comedian.”

Kreischer adds, “And then I will take the bullet and close the show behind someone like Chad or Tiffany. Everyone there knows me — I just take my shirt off and people go crazy.”

“At the heart of [things],” Kreischer says, “I love comics, and I love being on the road with comics. And my daughters who I bring on tour with me love it too. During the tour, one of them told me, ‘I love this — you wake up in a different city every morning, you have breakfast ready and everyone you eat with is hilarious. This is amazing.'”

Comedian, actor, writer, and host Bert Kreischer regularly draws sold-out crowds everywhere he goes around the United States to perform stand-up comedy. His most recent stand-up special, titled Hey Big Boy, as well as his previous specials, titled Hidden Time and The Machine, are currently available to view on Netflix throughout the world. Bert Kreischer's fifth Netflix stand-up special, Razzle Dazzle, premieres on March 14. He also stars in the upcoming feature The Machine, which opens on May 26.

According to a press release, "The movie follows Kreischer as the Russian mafia finally catches up with him after all these years and seeks retribution for the crimes that he committed in their country as a rowdy, drunken college student." This is 23 years after the study abroad experience he chronicled in his 2016 Showtime stand-up special.

In addition to his radio work, Kreischer is a well-known podcast host. He and Tom Segura create several successful comedic podcasts, including Bertcast and Two Bears One Cave. His YouTube cooking show, Something's Burning, is very popular.

“The Machine” is coming to Upstate New York with some big-name comedians.

Bert Kreischer announced his “Fully Loaded Comedy Festival” tour dates Thursday, including a June 19 show at Frontier Field in Rochester. Kreischer, Dave Attell, Big Jay Oakerson, Fortune Feimster, and Taylor Tomlinson will perform at the stadium, home of the Rochester Red Wings Minor League baseball team.

“With my history of performing outdoors, and amassing crowds that love a great outdoor party over a cold beer and sunset in great company, I was presented with the idea of a tour of minor-league ballparks, a couple amphitheaters, a few racetracks, and a couple of arenas,” Kreischer said in a statement. “I immediately thought, this is a festival I want to put together. I then put down a list of my favorite comics that I love to watch, work, hang, and have a drink with, and from there it was a no-brainer.”

Presale tickets are available now at ticketreturn.com with special code “PLAYBALL.” Prices start at $59.50; suites will also be available for up to $1,600 (for 16 people and a food package).

Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday at 10 a.m.

Kreischer, also known as “The Machine,” first rose to fame in a 1997 Rolling Stone article as “the top partier at the No. 1 Party School in the country”; his stories while attending Florida State University inspired the Ryan Reynolds movie “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder.” Kreischer has his own podcast (“Bertcast”), has appeared on several reality TV shows, and has released several standup comedy specials.

Attell is a standup comic best known for hosting Comedy Central’s “Insomniac”; Oakerson is a comedian and podcaster who’s appeared on “Inside Amy Schumer,” “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn,” and “Comedy Central Presents”; and Tomlinson was a “Last Comic Standing” finalist who’s released two Netflix specials, “ Quarter-Life Crisis” and Look At You.”

Feimster, whose credits include the Netflix standup special “Sweet & Salty,” the Syracuse-shot movie “Plan B,” and roles on “The Mindy Project,” “Kenan,” “Chelsea Lately,” “Yes Day,” “Chick Fight” and “Life in Pieces,” is also performing at Funny Bone in Destiny USA on May 20-21, in Rochester on May 22, and Buffalo on June 3-5 as part of her “Hey Y’all tour.

The 2023 Fully Loaded Comedy Festival saw record-breaking attendance numbers and this year is expected to be even larger. Bert Kreischer's 2023 Fully Loaded Comedy Festival not only etched itself into the comedy circuit as one of the year’s top touring shows but also laid the groundwork for a lifestyle brand destined to support numerous ventures for years to come. It was, in every sense, a dream tour realized—a journey through the heights of hilarity and the depths of pure, unfettered fun.

The 2023 festival kicked off on June 14 at Forest Hills Stadium in New York and wrapped up at The Gorge at George in Washington on September 15. About The Event

Back by popular demand, Bert “The Machine” Kreischer will be starting the party back up this summer with his second annual Fully Loaded Comedy Festival. The biggest comedy event of the year with a “Fully Loaded” line-up at Pinnacle Bank Arena that includes Bert Kreischer, Fortune Feimster, Big Jay Oakerson, Jay Pharoah, Chad Daniels, Luis J Gomez, Shane Torres, Mark Smalls, Carter Cruise, and Cipha Sounds (Lineup subject to change). The  Fully Loaded Comedy Festival concept was conceived during Bert’s 2020 Hot Summer Nights Tour while performing at drive-in venues during the pandemic. He fell in love with the unconventional aspect of outdoor comedy shows, which sparked the idea to create a top-tier showcase that had never been done before. Having fond memories of the original Lollapalooza, Bert founded his comedy version that would encompass everything he loves: comedy, the outdoors, good times, and drinking with friends to give fans an experience they will talk about for years to come. As one of the best storytellers of his generation, Kreischer seamlessly and sincerely shares anecdotes about his family and fatherhood while showing his ability to prove “that there’s a way to take his [party-boy] antics into middle-age” (Forbes).
