Pallett Claims Challenge Tour Title.

PDC Winmau Challenge Tour Event 15

David Pallett was victorious on Sunday, in winning his 1st PDC Challenge Tour title of his career, after defeating Dennie Olde Kalter in the decider, as the third weekend of the PDC’s second tier tour season came to a close in Hildesheim.

Pallett, who lost out in the final of Friday’s Event 12, went a step further on Sunday, as he reached the final by recording victories over Philip Van Gasse, Stefan Bellmont, Scott Marsh, Dan Read, Jacques Labre and Lukas Wenig, to set up a clash with Olde Kalter.

The final began with the opening three legs being won on throw, before Pallett produced the first break of the match in Leg 4 with a 13 darter. The Former UK Open Semi Finalist then hit a 15 darter to move within one of victory, with Olde Kalter needing to win four on the spin to keep his title hopes alive. The Dutchman did produce a fightback in winning back-to-back legs, before Pallett sealed victory in Leg 8 with an 18 darter to pick up a 1st title within the PDC.

The PDC Winmau Challenge Tour returns between 16-18th September with Events 16-20 taking place from The Morningside Arena, Leicester. All live scores and results will be viewed via tv.dartconnect.com.

Prize money breakdown 2023 PDC Challenge Tour with £360,000 on offer

The PDC Challenge Tour will consist of 24 tournaments in 2023. Each tournament pays out £15,000 in prize money , so the prize fund for the entire circuit consists of £360,000.

This circuit is open to players who participated in Q-School, but failed to win a Tour Card. A kind of second division, then, for players who want to seek refuge at the PDC.

From reaching the last 64, players can earn prize money, starting with £75. That amount then increases with each round. The winner collects a handsome £2,500.

What are the alternatives for over 800 players missing out on PDC Tour Card at 2023 Q-School?

The Challenge Tour ranking is based on the prize money earned. At the end of the season, the numbers one and two get an invitation to the PDC World Darts Championship, plus a Tour Card for 2024 and 2025.

There is also another reward for players who do well. The top of the standings have a chance to compete as a reserve player in the Players Championship tournaments of the PDC Pro Tour. If a Tour Card holder fails to register or drops out, the highest-ranked player on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit may fill in.

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Modra wins simon whitlock trophy to seal world series return.

Rob Modra will make his big stage return at the Australian Darts Masters in August, after lifting the Simon Whitlock Trophy in Geelong last weekend.

Modra - a two-time Auckland Darts Masters qualifier - will make his third World Series of Darts appearance in Wollongong this summer, after claiming the most ranking points across the second weekend of DPA ProTour action in 2024.

Geelong Greyhound Racing Club played host to Events 4-6 last weekend, with Modra defeating Joe Comito 6-4 to clinch the opening event of the treble-header.

The 51-year-old followed up a deciding-leg win over Harley Kemp with a semi-final success against Brody Klinge, before reeling off three straight legs to deny Comito in a hard-fought final.

However, Modra's bid for back-to-back titles came to an end in the Event Five quarter-finals, following a deciding-leg defeat to Jeremy Fagg.

Fagg averaged 100.66 as he fought back from 4-1 down to triumph, reeling off four consecutive legs in 11, 15, 19 and 13 darts to complete a superb comeback.

Having also denied Joe Comito in a last-leg thriller, Fagg came through another decider in his semi-final showdown against Kemp, to set up a clash against Brenton Lloyd.

Lloyd sealed his Australian Darts Masters qualification after winning the Russell Stewart Trophy in February, although he was denied a second DPA ProTour title of 2024, with Fagg running out a resounding 6-3 winner.

In a repeat of February's treble-header, former PDC Tour Card Holder Gordon Mathers rounded off the weekend's action with glory on Sunday, overcoming Klinge 3-1 in sets to secure his second DPA title of 2024.

The former World Series of Darts semi-finalist averaged 97 in his quarter-final win over Mal Cuming and whitewashed Dave Marland in the last four, before averaging 99.25 to topple Klinge and celebrate Event Six success.

Despite bowing out in the quarter-finals, Modra ended the weekend's treble-header with the most ranking points, as he became the second Australian representative to confirm a place in August's World Series of Darts event in Wollongong.

The DPA ProTour will resume on June 15-16, with Events 7-9 set to take place in Albury, New South Wales, as Australia's top stars continue their bids for World Series of Darts and World Darts Championship qualification.
