The Kansas City Chiefs don’t have to be on the field for you to have some fun at Arrowhead Stadium .

While Arrowhead is no doubt an awesome venue for watching a game (it’s known as the loudest stadium in the NFL), a stadium tour is an excellent way to get a dose of football year-round. Consider it a must-do if you’re a serious Chiefs fan.

Along with  dozens of works of art  found throughout the stadium – including a sculpture by Missouri’s own Thomas Hart Benton – tours at Arrowhead detail how Chiefs’ founder Lamar Hunt shaped and modernized the NFL that exists today.

The Chiefs organization actually began in 1960 as the Dallas Texans, members of the upstart American Football League (AFL) that Hunt founded after he was denied the opportunity to start an expansion team or purchase an existing NFL team.

The original AFL included seven other teams: the Denver Broncos, Houston Oilers, Los Angeles Chargers, Boston Patriots, Buffalo Bills, New York Titans and Oakland Raiders.

Interesting tidbit – the founding fathers of those teams collectively were called “The Foolish Club” because all were certain they’d lose a boatload of money and that the league would eventually falter. Today, “The Foolish Club” is the name of one of the indoor areas for grabbing a cold drink and relaxing with friends inside Arrowhead.

Another interesting tidbit – Hunt is credited with coining the term “Super Bowl.” In the early days of the AFL, before its merger with the NFL, the top teams from each league faced off in the AFL-NFL Championship Game. The cumbersome name wasn’t necessarily a hit with owners, fans or the media, and it was Hunt who first threw out the suggestion for calling the game the Super Bowl.

On the tour, you learn that Hunt likely derived the name from a Super Ball, the small, extremely bouncy rubber ball that was popular with his children. In fact, a Super Ball is one of the items on display in the Chiefs Hall of Honor, a highlight of the tour that pays tribute to the best of the best from Chiefs history.

You’ll also find several items related to the AFL and its teams in the Chiefs Hall of Honor – a truly rare example of one franchise honoring rival franchises.

Inside the Hall of Honor, busts depicting Chiefs legends – from quarterback Len Dawson to defensive end Derrick Thomas – are aligned in a locker-like setup. If you’re a big fan of football, you may need to ask for extra time to read and see everything that’s on display.

Among the signature pieces is the trophy from the 1970 AFL-NFL Championship Game, aka Super Bowl IV. The AFL’s Chiefs won, 23-7, over the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings. What’s cool about the trophy – and what seems perfectly fitting, considering the Chiefs were the founding members of the AFL – is that it’s the last trophy to have an AFL logo on it, as the two leagues merged prior to the following season.

A bonus tidbit – It was Lamar Hunt’s idea to use Roman numerals when referring to Super Bowls, to lend a little touch of class to the event.

Tours of Arrowhead Stadium include an opportunity to see the press box and locker room and get close to the field – you can walk the track that surrounds the playing surface. Don’t plan on carrying along a football and running post patterns on the field all afternoon. That’s a no-no.

There are several tour options available . General public tours are held twice daily, on Fridays and Saturdays, year-round. Private tours can be arranged by appointment.

The next time you need a football fix, plan a tour at Arrowhead Stadium. It’s a fascinating look at one of the NFL’s most fascinating franchises.

Arrowhead Stadium Game Day Guide | Tips for a 1st Time Visit

Last updated on September 2nd, 2023 at 09:44 am.

Attending a Kansas City Chiefs game can be overwhelming for first-time visitors who may not know what to expect. In this article, we will cover everything you need to know to have a great time at Arrowhead Stadium including parking, food, seating, prices, and more.

I have attended two Chiefs games in the past two years. I watched the Chiefs play the Steelers on Christmas Day in 2021, and then on January 1, 2023, I got to see the Chiefs take on the Broncos. Both games were wins for the Chiefs (of course), and a great experience that I recommend everyone in the Kansas City area experiences at least once.

Going to a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium can be an exhilarating experience for any NFL fan. With the team’s recent success, the atmosphere at Arrowhead has become even more electric, making it a must-visit for any football enthusiast.

If you’re headed to Arrowhead Stadium for any of the nine home games the Chiefs play in the 2023 season, this is what you need to know.

Directions to Arrowhead Stadium

Address: 1 Arrowhead Dr, Kansas City, MO 64129

Where is Arrowhead Stadium? Arrowhead Stadium is located off the 70 and 435 freeways. The cross streets are Chiefs Way, Red Coat Lane, Arrowhead Drive and Lancet Lane.

From downtown Kansas City: Take I-670 East to I-70 East. Exite 7B for Manchester Trafficway and turn left onto Stadium Drive and then onto Chiefs Way.

Drop-off and pick-up is located at the Missouri Welcome Center located between Gates 1 and 2 on Blue Ridge Cutoff (this includes Uber, Lyft, etc.).

Parking at Arrowhead Stadium

For those driving to the stadium, there are several parking lots available for game-day parking. Parking lots open 4.5 hours prior to kickoff.

Advance parking purchase is required for parking and no cash is accepted at tollbooths. Ticket holders may purchase either a single game parking pass for the “Red Parking” area for $47 or full season pass for $350. There are other parking pass options for suite level and CommunityAmerica Club Level season ticket holders.

If you prefer to avoid the hassle of driving and parking, there are also several public transportation options available. Bus transportation is available to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium through RideKC on the 47 Broadway line.

Another option is to consider carpooling.

When to Arrive at Arrowhead Stadium for Game Day

Line to get into Arrowhead Stadium for a Chiefs game

To ensure that you have a great game-day experience, it is recommended to arrive at the stadium at least two hours before kickoff. This will give you enough time to find parking, get through the line into the stadium and through security, navigate the stadium, and grab a bite to eat before the game.

If you have premium seating, consider arriving even earlier to take advantage of the amenities and avoid the rush of fans trying to enter the stadium.

It is also important to note that traffic can be heavy on game day, so plan accordingly and give yourself plenty of time to drive to the stadium.

Getting to the venue ahead of time is paramount, considering that roadways and parking lots tend to become increasingly congested as the highly anticipated kickoff approaches.

Arrowhead Stadium Bag Policy

The Chiefs organization has embraced the NFL’s clear bag policy at Arrowhead Stadium. This policy serves as a guide for fans regarding the size and type of bags that are allowed into the venue.

Here’s a breakdown of the permissible items:

  • Clear Bags: Fans are encouraged to bring transparent bags that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″. Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags are ideal for easy inspection.
  • Small Clutches: Alternatively, small clutches or purses no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ are permissible. These small bags can be easily carried alongside the clear bag.
  • Diaper Bags: Parents attending the game may bring diaper bags, as long as they adhere to the clear bag dimensions mentioned above.
  • Exceptions: Medically necessary items that require special inspection, such as insulin kits or other essential medical supplies, will be permitted after proper verification.

These guidelines can change, so check out the official Chiefs bag policy for updates or changes and find clear bags at Amazon for next day delivery.

Seating at GEHA

Kansas City Chiefs Crowd

Arrowhead Stadium has a seating capacity of 76,416 and offers a variety of seating options. The stadium is divided into three levels, with the lower level closest to the field, the club level in the middle, and the upper level at the top.

The lower level is where you will find most of the stadium’s premium seating options, including the VIP club seats and suites. These seats offer a great view of the field and come with additional amenities like in-seat food and beverage service and access to private lounges.

The club level is also a popular seating option, as it offers a great view of the field and access to climate-controlled lounges with televisions and upscale food and beverage options.

The upper level is the most affordable seating option and is popular among families and budget-conscious fans. While the view of the field may not be as great as the lower levels, the upper level still provides a great game-day experience at a more affordable price.

One other thing to keep in mind is seating for day games. If you are in the shade in winter it can be very chilly or cold and on the flip side, if you are in the sun for an autumn game it can be very warm or hot.

Food and Beverage

Food and beverage options at Arrowhead Stadium are plentiful, with something to satisfy every craving. From classic stadium food like hot dogs and nachos to more upscale options like BBQ and sushi, there is no shortage of delicious options to choose from.

Additionally, Arrowhead Stadium is known for its famous Kansas City BBQ, which can be found throughout the stadium.

One of the most popular food options at Arrowhead Stadium is the Chiefs Kingdom Burger, a massive burger topped with bacon, onion rings, and BBQ sauce. Another popular option is the BBQ Nachos, which feature a heaping pile of tortilla chips topped with pulled pork, cheese, and BBQ sauce.

For those looking for healthier options, there are also several salad and vegetarian options available, including the Southwest Black Bean Burger and the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. They also have some gluten-free options including pizza.

When it comes to beverages, Arrowhead Stadium offers a variety of options, including soda, beer, wine, and cocktails. Fans can also purchase souvenir cups and bottles to take home as a memento of their visit.

Food and beverage prices at Arrowhead Stadium are also on the higher end, with prices for a hot dog and soda starting at around $10.

To save money, consider arriving early to take advantage of pre-game specials or purchasing food and beverages outside of the stadium before the game.

Ticket Prices for Chiefs Games

Kansas City Chiefs ticket prices 2023

Attending a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium can be an expensive experience, especially if you are looking for premium seating options or if you wait until the last minute to purchase.

Prices for single game tickets for premium seating can range from several hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on the game and the location of the seats. However, there are also more affordable seating options available, with prices starting at around $50 for upper-level seats. You can also find tickets as low as $25 for their pre-season games.

Chiefs vs. Raiders ticket prices

As of the writing of this article, there were still tickets in the $95 price point for the game against the Raiders on December 26th.

Based on data provided by TicketSmarter , the Chiefs’ ticket prices on the resale market are the most expensive in the NFL, currently priced at $577. This represents an increase of $200 compared to the previous season, where the average ticket cost for a game in Kansas City was $371.

This information shouldn’t be unexpected, considering the Chiefs’ status as the reigning Super Bowl champions, having triumphed over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

Chiefs Home Game Schedule 2023

  • Sat 08/26 vs Cleveland Browns (pre season game)
  • Thu 09/07 vs Detroit Lions
  • Sun 09/24 vs Chicago Bears
  • Thu 10/12 vs Denver Broncos
  • Sun 10/22 vs Los Angeles Chargers
  • Mon 11/20 vs Philadelphia Eagles
  • Sun 12/10 vs Buffalo Bills
  • Mon 12/25 vs Las Vegas Raiders
  • Sun 12/31 vs Cincinnati Bengals

In the upcoming season, the Kansas City Chiefs are set to face off against their AFC West rivals, including the Broncos, Raiders, and Chargers, in six matchups. These divisional clashes are a consistent component of the Chiefs schedule , providing an annual test of their mettle. Remarkably, the Chiefs dominated their divisional opponents in 2022, emerging victorious in all six games.

However, the Chiefs’ challenges extend beyond their divisional battles. Alongside their AFC West counterparts, they will also lock horns with the formidable teams of the AFC East, namely the Bills, Dolphins, Patriots, and Jets. Additionally, they will face off against the tough competitors hailing from the NFC North, including the Vikings, Lions, Packers, and Bears.

This comprehensive slate of opponents represents the NFL’s rotational system, where each division contends against one AFC and one NFC division each year. In the previous season, the Chiefs squared off against the AFC South and NFC West divisions, demonstrating their ability to navigate a variety of formidable foes.

Kansas City Chief’s Game Day Tips and Recommendations

– Dress appropriately: Arrowhead Stadium is an outdoor stadium, so be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. In colder months, be sure to dress in layers and bring a jacket, as temperatures can drop significantly in the evening. We brought toe warmers for a few of the December games and were very happy.

– Wear Chiefs Gear: If you really want to fit in, make sure to wear a Chiefs jersey, t-shirt or hat for game day! Check our list of the best Chiefs gear for superfans !

– Bring cash: While many vendors at Arrowhead Stadium do accept credit cards, it is always recommended to bring cash to ensure that you can make purchases without any issues.

– Respect the fans and the stadium: Arrowhead Stadium is known for its passionate fan base, and it is important to respect the fans and the stadium while attending a game. Avoid engaging in any disruptive behavior and be mindful of those around you.

– Take advantage of stadium tours: Arrowhead Stadium offers private and public tours throughout the year, which provide an in-depth look at the stadium and its history. Consider taking a tour before or after a game to learn more about the stadium and its significance to the Chiefs and their fans.

  • Public tours take place on Friday and Saturday weekly and are with a larger public group.
  • Private tours are offered most weekdays between 9 AM – 5 PM based on availability.

Hotels Near Arrowhead Stadium

The Kansas City Metro is very large and sometimes, not knowing how large it is, people will book hotels in the Kansas City area, not knowing that the drive from their hotel to Arrowhead can be over 30 minutes.

And while a scenic drive through the Kansas City area is an enjoyable activity, it may not be best for those looking to come see a game. Having gone to two Chiefs games before, I know firsthand how hectic it can be to get in and out of the stadium, especially for those not native to the Kansas City area.

So, make sure to check out our guide to the hotels closest to Arrowhead Stadium .

Tour Favorite Stadiums Across the Midwest

Y ou might think that once you’ve seen one stadium, you’ve seen them all. but every stadium has its own history and highlights special places that make fans swoon..

Here is a selection of Midwest stadiums that offer behind-the-scenes group tours.

Arrowhead Stadium

Kansas city, missouri.

The Kansas City Chiefs played their first game at Arrowhead Stadium on August 12, 1972, against the St. Louis Cardinals (before they became the Arizona Cardinals). The stadium made headlines when it was built because of its amazing sightlines and because it was not built as a multipurpose stadium as many built in the 1970s were. It originally could hold 79,491 fans.

The stadium was built right next door to Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals baseball team, and the two stadiums share one of the biggest parking lots in professional sports. Arrowhead Stadium underwent a $375 million renovation, modernization and expansion project in 2006 that increased the footprint of the stadium to 1.25 million square feet and added numerous event spaces.

The new additions reduced the number of seats in the stadium to 76,416. A Founders Plaza was added on the north side of the building to honor the former owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, Lamar Hunt. Visitors to the stadium can take a 90-minute tour that includes the press box, the club level, the locker room, the field and the Chiefs’ Hall of Honor, a 26,000-square-foot museum that pays homage to Hunt and the American Football League he founded. It houses many artifacts from the eight AFL teams and includes a players Hall of Fame. Private guided tours are available anytime.

Memorial Stadium

Lincoln, nebraska.

Memorial Stadium, home of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, is an intimidating sight for visiting teams. On game day, the stands turn into a sea of red, with fans decked out in Nebraska colors. Memorial Stadium was first built in 1923 with stands on the east and west sides of the playing field. At that time, the stadium, on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, could hold only 31,080 people. It was named Memorial Stadium to honor those Nebraskans who fought and died for their country during wartime.

Over the years, the stadium has seen its share of additions, including a field house, additional stands, luxury suites and club seats. The Osborne Athletic Complex was built in the mid-2000s. Today, the stadium houses 92,000 screaming fans at a time, making Memorial Stadium the third-largest city in Nebraska on game days.

The stadium gives tours throughout the year. Groups start in the lobby of the north entrance of the Osborne Athletic Complex, where they can see the team’s national and bowl game trophies. They then watch a video of a tunnel walk out onto the field before they get to make the same trek themselves. Tours are about an hour long and include a look at the Hawks Championship Center, the Huskers’ indoor practice facility that features a 120-yard field.

www.huskers.com

Busch Stadium

The most recent incarnation of Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, opened in 2006. It is the third stadium in St. Louis to carry the name. The current stadium overlaps the site of the former Busch Memorial Stadium and includes a major ballpark district called Ballpark Village, with restaurants, sports bars and the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum. The site will also have a reproduction of the former stadium’s baseball diamond, built on the exact spot where the previous stadium’s diamond was situated.

“The infield of the previous stadium is a construction zone now, but it will be rebuilt and put back in so fans will have a chance to run the bases again of the previous ballpark where so many of their heroes played,” said Brian Finch, manager of stadium tours and museum operations for Busch Stadium. “It will be a unique place for Cardinals fans to congregate.”

Stadium tours are offered year-round. Public tours include a ticket to the Hall of Fame Museum. Private tours can include both the stadium and the museum as well. Visitors get to tour the radio broadcast booth, see the team’s World Series trophies in the Champions Club and step inside the Cardinals dugout. The Cardinals have won 11 World Series championships, the last one in 2011. There have been two World Series wins in Busch Stadium since it opened in 2006. Busch Stadium likes to keep its group tours to 40 people or less. Larger tour groups must be broken into smaller groups to maximize everyone’s enjoyment.

Ohio Stadium

Columbus, ohio.

Ohio Stadium is approaching its 100th anniversary. Built in 1921, the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team is one of the few stadiums in the country that is on the National Register of Historic Places. When it was first built, it could handle a crowd of 66,210 people. The largest crowd it ever had was 110,000 people at the Michigan game in 2016. Typically, the stadium seats about 102,000 people.

The Buckeyes have the largest alumni association of any public university, making Ohio State football games a big draw. Groups are welcome to take a 90-minute walking tour of the stadium, including the Huntington Club level and one of the largest collegiate press boxes in the country. They will also tour the Steinbrenner Band Center, the Yassenoff Recruit Center and the field.

“The field is the big draw,” said Cassie Bernard, assistant director of event management for the stadium. “Everyone wants to be in the middle of Block O [the student section of the stadium] taking selfies there and doing snow angels there.”

The suites are on the highest level of the stadium where visitors get a bird’s-eye view of the field and campus. The recruit room is a highlight of the tour, decorated with Ohio State-specific decor, including big helmet couches and chairs. The walls are decorated with photos of Heisman trophy winners and OSU players who have gone on to play in the NFL.

Lucas Oil Stadium

Indianapolis.

Lucas Oil Stadium is the home of the Indianapolis Colts football team. The state-of-the-art stadium was built in 2005 at a cost of $720 million. It replaced the RCA Dome, which was one of the smallest stadiums in professional football. The first game played at Lucas Oil Stadium was in 2008 against the Chicago Bears. The stadium has a retractable roof and movable glass windows on the north side, giving fans an unobstructed view of the Indianapolis skyline. The roof can open and close in under 11 minutes. The stadium seats 63,000 people but can seat 70,000 people during larger events.

The stadium has two of the largest high-definition videoboards in the NFL, with three screens each that are 97 feet wide by 53 feet high. It also has 139 luxury suites. The field’s surface is Fieldturf, and it sits 25 feet below street level, allowing the stadium to blend in better with its surrounding neighborhood. The stadium is connected to the Indiana Convention Center by a climate-controlled walkway.

Both public and private guided tours of the stadium are available. The tours last about 90 minutes and include visits to the playing field, the press box, a locker room and other areas, depending on time and availability.

Chiefs plan a $800 million renovation to Arrowhead Stadium after the 2026 World Cup

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs are planning an $800 million renovation to Arrowhead Stadium, the third-oldest stadium in the NFL, that would begin after the team plays host to games for the 2026 World Cup and take about four years to complete.

The project is contingent on the extension of a tax of three-eighth of a cent by voters in Jackson County, Missouri, on April 2. That money has been used for upkeep at Truman Sports Complex of Arrowhead and neighboring Kauffman Stadium, which the Royals intend to leave for a new downtown ballpark before the current lease expires after the 2030 season.

“We would not be willing to sign a lease for another 25 years without the financing to properly renovate and reimagine the stadium,” acknowledged Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt, whose family would contribute $300 million toward the overall project. “So the financing puzzle is very important to us to make sure we have enough funds to do everything we've outlined.”

The scope of the renovation project , which was revealed Wednesday during a news conference at Arrowhead, would touch every aspect of the 52-year-old building, from the seating bowl to luxury amenities to the tailgating scene.

There would be a new parking deck built to help provide players, VIPs and other special guests with a better access point. New pedestrian bridges would help fans get from parking lots to the stadium. There would be new ribbon boards, the video boards at each end would triple and quadruple in size and the existing suites around the stadium would be renovated.

NFL STATS CENTRAL: The latest NFL scores, schedules, odds, stats and more.

The two biggest changes to the stadium itself would come above it and below it.

For the first time since the stadium was built in 1972, the Chiefs are planning to build a 360-degree upper concourse, which would allow fans to more easily flow around the stadium. It would also create more food stations, restrooms and merchandise areas, and that would alleviate congestion elsewhere in the stadium.

In the end zones, the Chiefs are planning to excavate under the existing structure to create club spaces similar to those found at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where the Raiders play and the Chiefs recently won their third Super Bowl in the past five years.

“You sit on the field level of Allegiant Stadium and see that amazing end zone suite they have, and you say: ‘Wow. Too bad we can’t do that,'” Chiefs president Mark Donovan said. “We found a way to do that, and not only bring you the best of the newest buildings in the NFL, but put it inside the iconic Arrowhead Stadium.”

Another big change would come outside the stadium, where the Chiefs envision a tailgating plaza built on the site of Kauffman Stadium. The covered area would provide a gathering space on game day but also could be used year-round for events.

The original plan for the Truman Sports Complex called for a rolling roof that could cover Arrowhead and Kauffman stadiums, but the structure was never built. The Chiefs revisited the idea of a roof over Arrowhead roughly two decades ago, when it underwent its last major renovation, but the public was skeptical of the project and the idea ultimately was scrapped.

Even though a roof conceivably could help Kansas City play host to the Super Bowl, Hunt said Wednesday it was never seriously considered for this round of renovations — and in fact, the team prefers to play outdoors in the elements.

“We certainly feel like it's a competitive advantage for us,” he said.

The Chiefs also considered a mixed-use development around Arrowhead, where there are few restaurants, hotels and entertainment options. But studies found that such an investment would not provide a positive financial return.

“This is not a location that is not worthy of developing,” Donovan said, “as harsh as that sounds.”

So, the scope of the project was narrowed to Arrowhead itself. Hunt said the goal is to maintain its history and mystique while providing fans with the amenities found in more modern stadiums across the NFL.

“What my dad loved best about the stadium was the connection the team had with our fanbase,” Hunt said of his father, Lamar Hunt, who founded the team in 1959 in Dallas. “He loved this building for what it means to the fans, and we still believe it is one of the best stadiums in the National Football League and a bucket-list destination for fans across the NFL.”

Why Jason and Travis Kelce Are Thanking the Swifties for Their Latest Achievement

Eight months after travis kelce detailed his very first night at a taylor swift concert, new heights , the show he cohosts with jason kelce, won podcast of the year..

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce 's smiles are like they won a contest.

After all, they did. The Kelce brothers' weekly show, New Heights , was voted Podcast of the Year in the 2024 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards.

"Get the f--k out of here," Travis told Jason in a video shared to the New Heights Instagram account March 11 . "People actually listen to this?"

And while the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center were unable to attend the March 11 event held at the SXSW Conference and Festivals in Austin, Texas, they did send love to the fans who helped them win the award.

"This is an incredible honor especially for two jabronies like us," Jason continued. "We'd be remiss if we didn't thank all of the 92 percenters out there,  a.k.a Swifties , who voted for us to win this award."

And Travis, whose relationship with Taylor Swift helped New Heights gain a much bigger audience, clearly shares the "Karma" singer's respect for his newfound—and highly dedicated—fanbase.

"Podcast of the year is big s--t," he added. "We truly have the best fanbase in the entire world, thank you for voting every single day of every single month—and every hour of that day."

In addition to shouting out their strategic campaigners, Jason—who shares daughters Wyatt , 4, Elliotte , 3, and Bennett , 12 months, with wife Kylie Kelce —touched on why the podcast has endured since its September 2022 debut.

"We absolutely love making this podcast each and every week," he explained. "It is beyond rewarding when we find out that it resonates with so many people out there and that they get joy out of it because we put a lot of that into it."

While New Heights mostly details the Kelce brothers' life as NFL players , it has also provided adorable insight on Taylor and Travis' relationship . In fact, a comment Travis made during a July 2023 episode played a monumental role in bringing  football player and Grammy winner together.

"This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell," Taylor told TIME in December. "We started hanging out right after that."

As for the exact comment that made Taylor enchanted enough to meet Travis? At the time, the tight end was, of course, detailing his trip to the Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium, and his missed opportunity to give her a friendship bracelet.

"I was a little butt-hurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her," he told his brother on the now-iconic New Heights episode. "I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it."

And while, at the time, Jason needed clarification on whether Travis meant his phone number or his jersey number, Taylor has later been seen donning the latter on a chain around her neck, or on her wrist, during game days.

Read on for every highlight from Taylor and Travis' love story.

July 2023: So, Make the Friendship Bracelets

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce 's love story began in July 2023, when the singer's Eras Tour made a stop at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

As a huge Swiftie, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end caught the show with hopes of giving Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it . However, he failed to complete the pass due to her pre-show rituals.

"I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," Travis shared on the July 26 episode of his  New Heights podcast. "So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her."

Summer 2023: This Is Him Trying

After publicly recounting his fumble—a move Taylor would later describe as "metal as hell" —Travis decided to shoot his shot and invite the Grammy winner to watch the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium.

"I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court," he shared on The Pat McAfee Show . "I told her, you know, 'I've seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one's a little more lit.' So, we'll see what happens in the near future."

August 2023: Enchanted to Meet You

Travis was rocking a mustache—which he debuted in August during training camp—when he was first introduced to Taylor .

As he later noted of the era, "That 'stache and the 87 jersey was pretty iconic there for a little bit, and I had it when I met Taylor for the first time."

September 2023: Sparks Fly

By early September, a source close to the situation told E! News that Travis and Taylor were " texting and talking here and there ."

"It's been very low-key," the insider explained, "as he's been in season."

September 2023: Cheer Captain

Accepting Travis' invite, Taylor joined the athlete's mom Donna Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium to watch him and the Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears. After the game, Taylor and Travis were seen packing PDA at a local bar .

Though folklore had it that it was the couple's first in-person meeting, the "Karma" singer later clarified the two had spent a "significant amount of time" getting to know each other beforehand.

As Taylor noted, "We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."

October 2023: Team Up

As an indication that the relationship was heating up, Taylor brought her squad —including friends Blake Lively , Ryan Reynolds , Sophie Turner , Hugh Jackman , Sabrina Carpenter and Antoni Porowski —to watch the Chiefs play against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

October 2023: It's Nice to Have a Friend

Another sign that Travis could be The 1 ? Taylor started bonding with Brittany Mahomes —the wife of Travis' BFF and teammate Patrick Mahomes —in and outside of NFL games .

October 2023: Welcome to New York

The couple took their romance to TV, making a surprise appearance on the Oct. 14 episode of Saturday Night Live . Their Big Apple takeover also included the after-party for the NBC sketch show and a date night at the Waverly Inn .

November 2023: Karma Is Her Boyfriend

During a bye week, Travis traveled down to Argentina to catch the South American leg of Taylor's Eras Tour. Not only did the NFL star bond with Taylor's dad , Scott Swift , at the Nov. 11 show in Buenos Aires, but he also got a special shoutout from the stage.

" Karma is that guy on the Chiefs ," Taylor sang, "coming straight home to me."

After the show, the Midnights  artist was seen running up to Travis backstage and greeting him with a passionate kiss .

December 2024: Speak Now

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis' games.

"I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care," she told Time . "The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone."

December 2023: You, Who Charmed Her Dad

The music superstar turned Travis' Dec. 17 game into a family affair, bringing her dad to cheer on her man .

January 2024: All the Midnights

Taylor and Travis spent their first New Year's Eve together, sharing a romantic kiss when the clock struck midnight on Jan. 1.

January 2024: Chosen Family

Continuing to bond with Travis' family, Taylor hung out with his brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce at the Chiefs' game against the Buffalo Bills.

January 2024: Saved by the Perfect Kiss

Taylor joined Travis on the football field when the Chiefs won the AFC Championship , a victory that cemented the team's spot in the 2024 Super Bowl . The couple shared a celebratory kiss before exchanging the L-word .

"Tay, I'm gonna enjoy with the guys," he told her. "I love you—so much it's not funny."

February 2024: Super Bowl Champs

The pair locked lips on the field after Travis led the Kansas City Chiefs to victory on Feb. 11, 2024 in Las Vegas.

February 2024: TikTok Official

Taylor posted footage of Travis on social media for the first time Feb. 12, poking fun at how she took her parents clubbing with the athlete after the Super Bowl.

Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band announce 2024 stadium tour: How to get tickets

Country artist icon Kenny Chesney will take on 18 cities in the Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour.

Chesney will be joined by Grammy winners the Zac Brown Band , "Tennessee Orange" vocalist Megan Moroney and Chesney's multiple-week No. 1 "When the Sun Goes Down" duet partner Uncle Kracker — himself known for the hits "Follow Me" and "Drift Away."

The tour kicks off at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on April 20. Tickets go on sale Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. local time at kennychesney.com/tour .

Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.

Twenty years have elapsed since Chesney's chart-topping collaboration with Uncle Kracker, a fact not lost on the performer when naming his tour of over a dozen stadiums in 2024.

Interested in going? Check out tickets at Vivid Seats , StubHub , SeatGeek , and Ticketmaster .

"I wanted a name that suggested — obviously — when all the good stuff starts to happen. The one thing I've learned about No Shoes Nation and these stadium shows is they start the good times early and they just keep it going," Chesney noted in a press statement.

"But we all know, when the sun goes down, that's when people really get loose and enjoy themselves," he added. "That was the thing about Uncle Kracker and my song. It captured a vibe and a moment so perfectly. No matter how much fun you're having all day long, 'everything gets hotter when the sun goes down...' I know from years of experience that's true."

Chesney — who is the only country artist to be on Billboard's Top 10 Touring Artists of the Last 25 Years — will close out the tour, as is tradition, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Aug. 23, 2024.

Hootie & the Blowfish announces 1st tour since 2019: See all the 2024 dates

About his tourmates, Chesney adds:

"Zac Brown Band understands high-energy country, the same way Alabama did, and they've got our friend Caroline Jones in their line-up now, too. Megan Moroney isn't just one of the smart new voices in country; she's really bringing a sense of heart and joy to the music — and I'm fired up to be bringing her out to No Shoes Nation. And Uncle Kracker has been part of so many fun times, crazy moments and memories made, it always kicks things up a notch when he's out there with us. So, it really is old friends, new friends and a whole lotta love."
