The best way to get to know a city is to simply walk around and explore. And that’s exactly what you should start with if you’re wondering what to do in Phatthalung.

The city center is relatively small, so it won’t take you long to walk around. And as you do, you’ll be able to come across quiet streets that are lined with old houses, picturesque temples, and friendly locals. The town is also filled with quaint cafes and restaurants serving traditional Thai food and global cuisine. 

You don’t need a guide to explore Phatthalung town, but if you want to learn more about the history and culture of the city, then you can join a guided tour. These tours are led by locals and are a great way to get an insight into everyday life in Phatthalung.

2. Go Birdwatching At Thale Noi Bird Sanctuary

If you love nature and birdwatching, then you’ll enjoy a visit to Thale Noi Bird Sanctuary. This is one of the famous attractions in Phatthalung and is a great place to see some of Thailand’s rarest birds.

The sanctuary is  home to over 200 species of waterbirds,  making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. You can see migrant birds from as far away as Siberia, as well as local Thai birds. Popular birds that you might see include the great cormorants, Chinese pond heron, black-winged stilt, lesser whistling ducks, pheasant-tailed jacanas, and many more.

You can take a boat tour of the sanctuary, which lasts around 1.5 hours and see the birds up close. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and will be able to tell you all about the different species of birds that you’ll see.

The best time to visit Thale Noi Bird Sanctuary is from November to March, as this is when most birds are in the area. However, you can still see plenty of birds outside of this period.

3. Visit Khao Chai Son Hot Springs

Feeling stressed out? Soak your worries away at Khao Chai Son, the hot springs located in the village of Khao Chai Son. This is the best place to relax and rejuvenate your body and mind. The water is said to have therapeutic properties making it one of the most popular things to do in Phatthalung.

The water flows from a natural spring at a temperature of  about 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit).  So it’s not too hot, but just hot enough to soothe your muscles and relieve any aches and pains. Plus, the setting is just gorgeous, with lush greenery and mountains in the distance.

The hot springs are located in a beautiful resort that provides visitors with everything they need for a relaxing day. Therefore, you can find several services such as massage, restaurants, and accommodation.

4. Cross The Chalerm Phra Kiat Bridge

You can’t go to Phatthalung without crossing the Chalerm Phra Kiat Bridge, which spans the Wang Tanot River.  At 5.5 kilometers (3.4 miles) long , it’s the longest bridge in Thailand and one of the most impressive things to see in Phatthalung.

The bridge connects two provinces and is popular with locals and tourists who come to enjoy the beautiful views of the river and the fishing villages. Although the bridge is open to vehicles, it’s also a popular spot for pedestrians and cyclists.

It took me about half an hour to walk across the bridge, and I stopped several times to take photos and enjoy the views. I even saw some people fishing from the side of the bridge, which was a really neat sight. So if you’re looking for fun things to do in Phatthalung, be sure to add crossing the Chalerm Phra Kiat Bridge to your list!

5. Shop At The Train Station Night Market

You all know that Thailand is famous for its night markets which are one of the best things to do in any city. And if you thought that Phatthalung didn’t have a night market, then you were wrong!

The Train Station Night Market is located directly opposite Phatthalung Train Station. It’s a large market,  with over 200 stalls selling  a variety of things such as clothes, souvenirs, food, and much more.

I was surprised by the range of things on offer at the Train Station Night Market. Expected to find mostly cheap souvenirs and clothes, but there were also a lot of unique items that I hadn’t seen before. I even found some great gifts for my friends.

The food stalls are definitely worth checking out, as there’s a wide range of traditional Thai dishes and snacks on offer. One food you must try is  turmeric-infused crispy fried chicken , which is found in one of the popular stalls.

There are more than enough things to keep you busy at the Train Station Night Market, so make sure you add it to your list of places to visit in Phatthalung!

6. Pay Your Respect To Phraya Thukkharat (Chuai) Monument

Phra Maya Chuai was a monk who is revered for his role in defending Phatthalung from Burmese invaders. And when he completed his mission as a monk, he was appointed to be Phraya Thukkharat by King Rama I to help the city lord. A Phraya is a high-ranking nobleman in Thailand, and his title was equal to that of a city lord.

Today, he is considered one of the most important historical figures in Phatthalung, and his monument is one of the city’s most popular things to see. The monument is  located at the Tha Miram intersection , and it’s easy to spot with its large statue of Phraya Thukkharat standing.

7. Hike Up Khao Ok Talu

One of the most recognizable attractions in Phatthalung is Khao Ok Talu, a limestone hill located less than a kilometer behind the town’s railway station.  At just over 250 meters (820 feet) tall , this hill is covered in lush forest and is a popular spot for hiking and picnicking.

The hike to the top of Khao Ok Talu is relatively easy, as a stairway leads all the way to the summit. However, there are also some steep sections and uneven surfaces, so be sure to wear proper footwear and take your time.

The views from the top of Khao Ok Talu are simply breathtaking, and you can see for kilometers in every direction. I highly recommend making the hike up to the top of this hill, as it’s one of the best things to do in Phatthalung.

8. Marvel At Grand Canyon Phatthalung

The name “Grand Canyon” might make you think of the famous US landmark. But did you know that there’s also a Grand Canyon in Phatthalung? However, don’t expect to find the same red rocks and desert landscape.

The Phatthalung Grand Canyon is not as grandiose as its American counterpart, but it’s still a beautiful and fascinating place. The canyon was formed partially by mining operations, which have since been abandoned. Now, the only things left are rock formations that have been carved out by years of erosion.

The ground is also filled with shallow water, which reflects the sunlight and creates a surreal atmosphere. This makes it one of the most unique things to see in Phatthalung.

There are several cafes and restaurants located near the canyon, so you can take a break and relax with a drink while enjoying the views.

9. Visit Phra Phutthanirokhantarai Chaiwat Chaturathit

You can’t come to Phatthalung without seeing Phra Phutthanirokhantarai Chaiwat Chaturathit, one of the most important Buddhas in the province. This Buddha image was donated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej to the province in the late 1960s.

It’s a beautiful bronze statue in meditation posture and is sacred to the locals of Phatthalung. Many people come to worship and make merit at this Buddha image, which is housed in a square pavilion that is between the provincial court and the hall.

Don’t expect to see much on this site, as it’s mostly just the Buddha image. However, it’s still definitely worth a visit if you’re interested in unique Phatthalung attractions that relate to Buddhism and culture.

10. Enjoy Phatthalung Nighlife

When most people think of Phatthalung, they don’t think of it as a place with a vibrant nightlife scene. Of course, it’s not as happening as Bangkok or Pattaya. However, there are still plenty of fun things to do in Phatthalung at night.

You’ll find that most of the nightlife is concentrated around the Train Station Night Market. This is where you’ll find a lot of bars, restaurants, and street food stalls. It’s the perfect place to grab a bite to eat and have a few drinks. One of the most popular bars in the area is called “ Happy Variety ,” which is a great place to meet new people.

If you’re looking for something a little more low-key, then you can simply walk around and explore the city. Or, you can visit one of the many karaoke bars and sing your heart out.

Although Phatthalung is often overshadowed by the more popular tourist destinations in Thailand, it’s definitely a place that’s worth visiting. And as you can see, there are so many things to see and do in Phatthalung, and you’re sure to have a great time exploring all that this city has to offer.

Phatthalung’s Thale Noi Lake: A Visual Journey 

Accompanied by the gentle hum of the boat’s engine, we ventured into the pitch-black depths of Thale Noi’s peat swamp forest . With only the glow of our headlamps to guide us, we navigated cautiously through the maze of vine-covered shallows, ensuring the propeller steered clear of any entanglements.

Our objective for this early morning expedition was clear: to reach the Pak Pra Canal, a freshwater expanse adorned with traditional Yok Yor fishing nets , just before dawn.

We wanted to capture the local fishermen in action as they raised these massive square-rigged nets from the water, revealing their bountiful catch of the day.

Having accomplished our mission, we paused to survey the scene around us. As the sun steadily ascended in the sky, its golden rays cast a warm glow, illuminating the entire panorama. It felt like a grand spectacle unfolding before our eyes, as if a theater curtain was slowly rising to reveal a vibrant tableau of busy fishermen engrossed in their daily work.

Over the next half hour, we leisurely cruised around the lake, savoring the breathtaking views and making sure we didn’t miss any photo-worthy moments with the fishermen. The tranquil waters reflected the azure sky and the surrounding lush vegetation, created a picturesque scene that felt like a painting come to life.

As we navigated through different parts of the lake, we encountered various clusters of fishermen skillfully operating their nets. Each group had their unique techniques and camaraderie, and it was fascinating to observe their age-old traditions at work.

Diverging from the typical Thale Noi tourist route, our guide led us to a lesser-known section of the lake, well beyond Ekachai Bridge. This off-the-beaten-path excursion promised a genuine and authentic experience with locals, away from the crowds of tourist boats.

As far as our eyes could see, only water and marshland canvassed the horizon. On this uncharted side of the Ekachai Bridge, nature reigned supreme .  

Graceful white herons glided across the water, skillfully hunting for their next meal, while little cormorants stood as sentinels, perched on tall trees, ever watchful of their surroundings. Amidst the scenery, vibrant pink water lilies burst into bloom, their hues contrasting beautifully with the tranquil, murky waters beneath.

In the distance, we caught sight of a fisherman wading chest-deep in the water, immersed in his work. With skilled hands, he tended to his net using a traditional technique, just as his father and grandfather had done before him.  

As we observed this timeless practice, our guide explained that the fishermen on this side of Ekachai Bridge steadfastly adhere to the old ways of their craft. They carry forward the wisdom and skills passed down through generations, honoring their ancestors and preserving their cherished customs.

During our conversation with the fisherman, a large herd appeared on the grassland nearby. Eager to get a closer view, our guide skillfully steered the boat towards them. Approaching the gentle giants, our boat gradually eased to a stop. Suddenly, we found ourselves eye to eye with one of the magnificent creatures – a wild water buffalo .

After witnessing the power of the water buffalo up-close, our curiosity was piqued, and we set out to discover more of the fascinating wildlife dwelling on the lake.

Regarded as Thailand’s largest waterbird park , Thale Noi Lake spans an impressive 285,625 rai, equivalent to ~176 square miles. During the dry season, this place is a birdwatcher’s paradise, housing a diverse array of over 287 exotic winged species .

However, our visit coincided with the rainy season, a time when the lakes’s migratory and resident waterfowl are a scarce sight. Undeterred, we were determined to make the most of our opportunity and photograph the birds that did grace us with their presence.  

As we ventured deeper into the lake, in search of more birds to photograph, an intense commotion disrupted the otherwise serene surroundings. The sound of repeated thrashing caught our attention, compelling us to investigate the source of the commotion.

Driven by curiosity, our guide maneuvered our long-tail boat, speeding the engine to approach the origin of the sound. As we drew nearer, we were surprised to discover that the frenzy was caused by a masterful tilapia fisherman employing an age-old beating method .

With precision, the fisherman positioned a static gill net in the water and would startle the tilapia, prompting them to swim into the net with every calculated splash of his heavy-ended stick.

Despite the fisherman’s unwavering dedication and laborious efforts, the fruits of his hard work are disappointingly undervalued in the market. Each kilo (2.2 lbs) of his catch fetches a mere 30 baht ($0.82), a meager sum that barely covers his basic needs. Sadly, his daily payout ranks among the lowest in Thale Noi, despite the fact that his work is undoubtedly among the most challenging.

Amidst the fisherman’s struggles, it was clear why he chose to call Thale Noi his home. The lake offered a sanctuary, a respite from the world’s chaos, and a chance to find inner peace within its serene embrace.

One could easily lose themselves within the lake’s peaceful ambiance, with the gentle melodies of passing birds contributing to an almost meditative experience.  

The tranquility of Thale Noi Lake had a contagious effect on everyone we encountered. Each fisherman we passed welcomed us with warm-hearted smiles, embodying an authenticity that spoke volumes. Their genuine love for the lake served as a poignant reminder that true happiness emanates from the richness of tightly-knit communities and the rejuvenation of mind and soul, that comes from harmonizing with the natural world.

In general, boat tours tend to operate between 5:30am – 7:00pm, 7 days a week.

Tip #1: Regardless of where you stay, we highly recommend booking a boat ride via your hotel to guarantee a departure time. Make sure to wake up early for a 6am departure, in order to enjoy the majestic sight of a golden sunrise over Thale Noi’s Pak Pra Canal.  

Tip #2: If you book a 3 hour boat ride, confirm with your guide that he / she will take you beyond Ekachai Bridge. Most tours do not go beyond the bridge, but some of the best scenery is located there. For an extra tip (100 baht), your guide might be willing to spend an extra hour there.

Tip #3: To help out the local community, make an effort to visit the Fisherman Village’s morning market. Not many tourist visit this market, but there’s a variety of food and handicraft stalls that sell inexpensive dishes and locally-produced goods.

Tip #4: Thale Noi lake is best-visited as combined trip with either Trang , Songkhla , or even Nakhon Si Thammarat – both Trang and Songkhla are only 90 minutes away by car.

After being immersed in the natural beauty of Thale Noi Lake, we highly recommend visiting Wat Khao Aor in Phatthalung.

Perched atop a hill, this magnificent temple offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The journey up to the temple is an adventure in itself, with a scenic drive and a climb up the steps leading to the sacred site.

Once there, exploring the temple grounds will unveil a blend of architectural beauty, intricate carvings, and ornate decorations that reflect the rich history of the area.

Phatthalung

Phatthalung (พัทลุง) is a Southern Thai Province without any coastline, though it does sit along the large Songkhla Lake. The province has a number of forested areas, wetlands, mountains, waterfalls, caves, and unique Southern Thai culture.

Most of Thailand falls in to the generic high and low season categories, including Phatthalung.

High season - begins in November and runs through to February, bringing cooler temperatures, lush greenery from the previous months of rain, good air quality, and less rain. The downside is larger crowds and sometimes higher prices for tours, flights and accomodation.

Low season - begins in July and runs through to October. During low season the temperatures are higher, the chance of rain and storms are higher. That doesn't mean it's a bad time to visit though, if you can be flexible, there are deals to be found on flights and accomodation.

While it's always hot in Phatthalung, the small change in temperature between high and low season can be just enough that the heat isn't unbearable when out and about.

Sampaothai in Phatthalung province, just open a few years ago. It’s only a rice field area with the big model of a king kong and a ship in the motif the rice field. It is quite hot to walk around but the community make a stable walkway to walk around. The entrance fee is 20 baht per person. If you like taking beautiful photos, this place is for you.

If you like birds, buffaloes, water lilies and riding a Sampan with motor out on a huge lake go for it. It’s really worth your time and money. You can take a boat tour which will cost you about THB450.

Ekachai Bridge

A bridge formally called Thanon Chaloem Phra Kiat 80 but locally and most often called Ekachai Bridge on the lake route between Ranot, Songkhla and Thale Noi, Phatthalung road. The route passes through rice field before passing through swampy area of the northern edge of Songkhla Lake – the largest fresh water lake in Thailand.

PHATTHALUNG

Phatthalung is a lovely, small town in Southern Thailand which not many people talk about. This trip was more special than ever because it describes my return to my hometown to start a new chapter, after living a hustleand-bustle life in Bangkok for over ten years.

Slowly developed, the city has not changed much from how I remember it. The only thing new is probably a small 3-storey shopping mall that was built in place of the old cinema. Looking towards the train station, you will see a view of Mount Ok Thalu, one of the landmarks and a symbol of Phattalung.

Even though Phatthalung is a secondary city, it is second to none. It has terrain that comprises both high and complex mountains, a low hill area – known in the local language as “Kuan”, and an island near Songkhla Lake – all beautiful natural attractions of the South. Influenced by the Malay Peninsula, Manohra Folk Performing Arts has attracted the interest of foreigners again when UNESCO listed “Manohra” as a World Heritage Site in 2021.

Another thing that is the pride of local people is Phra Buddha Nirarokantrai Chaiwat Chaturathit or Phra Si Mum Mueang, which King Rama IX ordered to be built according to ancient beliefs that there must be sacred things to protect the borders in all four directions. The Buddha statue is enshrined in the pavilion between the city hall and the Phatthalung Provincial Court.

Let’s take a tour and get to know places that we, as hosts, are proud to present, including those that are believed to make everyone, just like me, fall in love with this cute little town.

Yok Yor, Pak Pra Canal

As the last, large swamp forest, Pak Pra Canal is one of the most beautiful places to watch sunrise in Phatthalung, formed by many rivers coming together at Songkhla Lake. We can see the old traditional way of fishing has been preserved using a giant Yok Yor, a tool for catching fish, made of bamboo and netting. With many Yok Yor in the natural scenery, it has become the unique charm of the area.

In the early morning, the weather is cool. We got on a boat towards the mouth of Pak Pra canal, heading out to Thale Noi to see the first light of day. The sun gradually shone through the morning fog, turning the sea orange and making the water look alive again. The view of Yok Yor and the light shining through the Lamphu trees in the middle of the water is a perfect place to take a picture. Watching the way of life of the waterfront community and the morning atmosphere is an extraordinary sight.

Thale Noi Waterfowl Park

We took a boat and passed under the Chaloem Phrakiat Bridge to Thale Noi, the first non-hunting site in Thailand. It covers three provinces, namely, Phatthalung, Songkhla, and Nakhon Si Thammarat where there are many species of rare water birds. It is a good bird watching site for those who love avian photography. January to April is the time when the birds are most abundant – up to about a hundred thousand. March to May is the lotus blooming season, and December to February is the best time to take a boat trip to observe water buffaloes.

Chaloem Phrakiat 80th Birthday Bridge

Another must-see point is the 80th Birthday Anniversary Bridge, the longest bridge across a lake in Thailand. Starting from Thale Noi, Khuan Khanun district, Phatthalung Province, and heading to Ranot district, Songkhla Province, it is one of the most notable landmarks with a view overlooking the large lake, with various species of birds and a herd of water buffaloes. There are viewpoints on the way, along the bridle path, to enjoy the scenery and rich nature on both sides of Thale Noi.

Pa Phai Sang Suk Market

We chose to fill our stomachs at Pa Phai Sang Suk Market (Suan Phai Khwan Jai), one that creates a community economy, selling locally-sourced products and natural food safe for customers.

We stopped by to look at the stalls, noticing both wild and local vegetables that we had never seen or tasted before. The considerate seller recommended vegetables and advised about their taste. Ingredients from community food chains are used to make a variety of dishes at the market, and you can also find rare sweets there.

Listening to the River Flow at the Roi Wan Tree House

Located peacefully and simply, a homestay nestles in the upstream forest for communities in the Banthat mountain range. Without other facilities, there is only natural air conditioning at a constant temperature of 25°C all year round, and the natural sound of water flow. It is a place where you can refresh the mind and relax. Taking a deep breath of fresh air, unwinding at a cool homestay, and living with nature like this, our mind and body were fully recharged.

Returning to Phatthalung for the first time in 10 years was like returning to the warm embrace of the wind, mountains, and rivers. Being back in tune with nature, having a meal that we had always missed, and blending into a familiar lifestyle made the exhaustion of living in a hectic city almost disappear.

If you are one who feels that life is moving too fast, visit Phatthalung and let this little town heal your soul. You will fall in love with this place before you realize your mind and body power are fully rejuvenated.

Travel Tips

• How to get to Phatthalung: The easiest way is to take a flight to Trang Province. There is a shuttle bus running from Trang Airport to Phatthalung Bus Station. Take a tuk-tuk into town or rent a car to your accommodation. Prices are negotiable.
• It is not recommended to travel on Sunday as most shops are open for only half a day, except the market.

Napokae in the Southern Thai language means paddy field of the ancestor. Napokae is located at village No.6 Makok Nuea Sub-district, Khuan Khanun District.

The appearance of Napokae surrounded by green fields is very comfortable to look at. Most of the buildings here are made of almost 100% wood.

There is a wooden bridge stretching in the green field so you can take photos as much as you like. There are wide local rice varieties here. There is a service to feed the buffalo as well. You can even ride the buffalo if you want.

There are various shops to serve tourists. Both restaurants and souvenir shops. Most importantly, it’s free to visit without any fees. Or if anyone wants to sleep in the good air for a night in Napokae you can do so as well.

Chaloem Phrakiat 80 Phansa Bridge

Chaloem Phrakiat Bridge 80th Birthday or some people may be familiar with what it is called Ekachai Bridge . That’s because Ekachai is involved in raising money to build a bridge.

This bridge is the longest bridge in Thailand with a length of 14 kilometers. It was built to shorten the distance and travel time between the people of Songkhla (Ranot District) and the people of Phatthalung (Kuan Khanun District).

On the bridge, there is a viewpoint from time to time. It is very beautiful and you can see both the view of Songkhla Lake and Thale Noi of Phatthalung.

The coolest are the signatures like Grandma’s Abandoned House and Water Buffalo. The water buffalo is the only animal in Thailand that has been registered as a world heritage.

The color of the bridge and the surrounding atmosphere is so beautiful it will make you want to take pictures. I recommend that if you come here, come during the rising and setting sun.

Nok Ten Hill

Anyone who believes that the only way to see a sea of mist is to go north, let me tell you, you’re wrong.

Because of the beautiful sea mist in the south like Phatthalung is as beautiful as the northern region.

Khuan Nok Ten is located at Village No. 4, Khlong Sai Khao Subdistrict, Kong Ra District. Traveling to Khuan Nok Ten is not difficult and doesn’t take too long. After getting to Khuan Nok Ten, I can tell you that you’ll be amazed by the view above.

The surrounding scenery consists of mountains and forests, which are very complete. You can also see the waterfall from far away. There is one view that looks very similar to Samet Nangshe, but the price of accommodation, food, and coffee is much cheaper.

If you arrive in Phatthalung One thing that should be seen with your own eyes is the way of life of the villagers along the waterfront, which is flattering the fish. We recommend that you come to visit Pak Pra because you will see the simple way of life along the water of the villagers.

There are both sailboats and rowboats that go fishing early in the morning and in the evening. Square dip nets are lined up in the Pak Pra Canal. No matter how many times you lift it up, there will be fish every time. And don’t worry if some fishes are small or pregnant the villagers will free them back to nature.

Within this park, you will find more than 250 species of waterfowl, some of which are hard to find. There are many kinds of water plants that grow up all over the little park too. You can also find a field of pink and red lotus flowers full in this water park.

For those who love birds, you can bring a camera to watch the birds. For anyone who wants to see the beautiful lotus sea and wants to know what algae flowers look like, it is recommended that you hire a boat from the villagers to take a tour.

Sampao Thai

If you’re tired of sipping coffee in the air-conditioned square shop where left and right are just walls. I recommend you change the atmosphere of sipping coffee to Gong Coffee Hand-roasted or Ban Pa Roastery.

I assure you that this place will impress you very much because the owner grinds and roasts the beans himself plus the taste is very good. Coffee lovers should not miss this cafe when they come to Phatthalung.

As for the atmosphere of the shop, I would give it 10/10. It’s very shady and in the midst of the perfection of nature. There is a wooden bridge behind the shop to walk to the clear water canal if you like.

You can bring coffee to sit, chill or take photos in that area. Or if you want to jump into the water and swim with the fish, you can do it as well. Let me tell you that you’ll definitely be happy here.

Wat Tham Sumano

Wat Tham Sumano is located at Village No. 1, Ban Na Sub-district, Srinakarin District. It’s a very shady temple because it’s located on a hill with many large trees inside the temple (with monkeys hanging between the trees).

This temple also has a place to practice meditation inside the cave with a small stream flowing through. People from all over the world come to sit and meditate. Because the atmosphere is peaceful, shady, and suitable for mental relaxation.

Or you can come to pay homage to the Buddha image for good fortune. But don’t forget to walk around and admire the beauty of the temple as well.

Kanam Coffee

Kanam Coffee is located in Khuan Maphrao Subdistrict, Mueang Phatthalung District. It’s a coffee shop located in the middle of a rice field with mountains in the background.

Everything here is made of wood. Make it look very harmonious with nature. The coffee here is 2 digit Thai baht but the views and photos you’re going to take are a million baht view especially when the fields are light green and fresh. It’s very beautiful and comfortable just by looking at it.

Or you can come here where the rice is produced grain. Sip coffee, eat good food, listen to the sound of the wind and watch the rice plants sway in the wind. It’s so relaxing, to say the least. The shopkeeper can turn on the music too if you want.

The Cape Bar & Restaurant

The Cape is located at Moo 1, Chong Thanon Subdistrict, Khao Chaison District. The Cape is an on-the-beach restaurant with a very good atmosphere. Regarding the photography angles, I can tell you that there are a lot of them. I took a photo and edited it in lightroom a bit and the picture is very good because the shop owner has decorated it to meet customers’ needs very well.

It looks as if the shop is located by the gulf of Thailand or in the Andaman sea, but actually, it’s just a lake. It’s like mini Phuket because this shop has a lot of foreign customers. The food and drinks are very good too.

Bingna Cafe

Bingna Cafe Located in Khuha Sawan Subdistrict, Mueang Phatthalung District, it is another café located in the middle of the field (in Southern Thailand Bingna means in the middle of the field).

There is a wooden bridge stretching through the middle of the rice fields, you can walk through it and breathe full fresh air into your lung.

The food and drinks at the restaurant taste good and the price is affordable. Very good service staff.

Although the café is located in the middle of the fields, the restaurant has a strong and Free Wi-Fi signal.

If you go on holiday, there will be a lot of people but don’t worry, the parking lot is huge.

Kwanjai Bamboo Park is located in Khuan Khanun Subdistrict, Khuan Khanun District. With an area of about 30 rai (11.85 acres or 48,000 m2), this is a market that brings together food, art, crafts, and performances of the locals.

You can experience the life of Phatthalung people from almost every angle, and here they organize a lot of photo spots for visitors. It’s all about taking pictures lol.

They also have small bags, food containers, and hats made from Jude too (Jude is a local plant that’s popularly weaved as a treat).

If you want you can support local products by buying them. They are made from 100 percent natural materials, durable and affordable. And so locals will be encouraged to continue their business.

Nhan Sawan Waterfall

Nhan sawan Waterfall is located in Khao Pu-Khao Ya National Park between Phatthalung and Nakhon Si Thammarat provinces.

There is a natural, medium-sized emerald pool that holds water directly from the waterfall. You can swim in it, and there are not many rocks beneath the surface.

The entrance fee to the waterfall is only 40 baht per car. Don’t forget to take your garbage with you when you leave, and if you see any garbage while you’re there, please pick it up and dispose of it properly. Waterfalls like this are a treasure, and we need to do our part to keep them clean, guys!

Phatthalung is one of Thailand’s southern provinces. Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Satun, and Trang are neighboring provinces. Phatthalung is a landlocked province, one of only two in Southern Thailand with this unique feature (the other is Yala).

Phatthalung was one of twelve royal cities formed during the reign of King Ramathibodi I of Ayutthaya. During King Rama V of Rattanakosin’s administrative reform, Phatthalung was included in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Phatthalung became a province after the county system was abolished in 1933.

This mountainous province is one of the South’s historic cities. The city’s icon, Khao Ok Thalu, stands out because of its height and can be seen from afar. This city gave birth to the theatrical arts of Nang Talung (shadow puppetry) and Nora dance. Phatthalung provides an opportunity to get away from the tourist crowds and learn about some of the country’s less well-known history and sights.

How to get to Phatthalung

Phatthalung does not have an airport. Visitors may, however, fly into one of the nearby airports, including Trang Airport (TST), which is around 60 kilometers away, Hat Yai International Airport (HDY), which is approximately 90 kilometers away, and Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport (NST), which is roughly 100 kilometers away. Hat Yai International Airport (HDY) offers the greatest number of flight choices. Visitors can fly into one of the surrounding airports and then take another mode of transportation to Phatthalung, such as a bus or taxi.

The Phatthalung Railway Station is located in the city center of the province, near Piyarak Hospital. Therefore, visitors can easily take SRT Southern Line to Phatthalung. For more details about train schedule and ticket reservation, feel free to visit 12Go .

Phatthalung Bus Terminal is Phatthalung’s main long-distance bus terminal. The bus terminal is located in the city center of the province, near Lotus’ Supermarket. Phet Kasem Road (Highway 4) and Highway 41 are connected at Phatthalung. As a result, visitors from neighboring provinces in Southern Thailand may find it easier to reach Phatthalung by car. Phatthalung may be reached through Highway 4 from Songkhla, Trang, and Krabi, and via Highway 41 from Nakhon Si Thammarat and Surat Thani. Thale Noi: exploring wetlands in Phatthalung

Thale Noi means the small sea and indeed, travelling by long-tail boat on this vast freshwater lagoon gives you the feeling that you are on an amazingly calm sea. The Lake is located in the Phatthalung province of southern Thailand, covers an area of 28 square kilometres, and forms the northernmost portion of the Great Songkhla Lake. The wetland area was declared a Ramsar site, which recognizes its international importance under the criteria of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands for containing representative, rare or unique wetland types or for their importance in conserving biological diversity.

When to go?

The lotuses and water lilies are in full bloom from January to March/April and this time of the year corresponds with the largest number of migrating birds. I visited the place exactly on the first day of April and the scenery was amazing with a minimal number of tourists. In general, November is the wettest month of the year and July is the driest.

How to get there?

The easiest way is to fly from Bangkok to Hat Yai, Nakhon Si Thammarat or Trang and arrange a further trip from one of these. The southern railway connects Phatthalung with Hat Yai and Nakhon Si Thammarat, but you can easily get mini-buses or buses too.

Where to stay?

As long as you are planning to take a sunrise boat trip, you should stay overnight somewhere around the lake. I recommend Chuanchom Resort . It’s basically just opposite the area where the boatmen hang out in the morning. The room is simple but perfectly fine for a short stay. I paid around 700 THB for one night.

How long to stay?

One day is enough to explore the area. After the sunrise trip, you may want to check out Thale Noi Viewpoint Tower and then make a stop in Phatthalung, before heading further.

Sunrise boat trip

Boat trips can be arranged around the big parking, opposite the road next to Chuanchom Resort. Just go there in the morning and speak directly with the boatmen. I highly recommend starting around sunrise time, as it’s purely magical to see how the wetlands spring to life. The prices vary depending on the duration of the trip. The 1-hour trip will cost about 550 THB while the longer one, which is over 2 hours, will cost about 900 THB or more. I took the longer one and totally loved it. It was even more than 2 hours as the boatman didn’t have a watch and I didn’t control the time either. After a while, he just asked me what time it is and then we turned back. Perfect cooperation 🙂 Long-tail boats can carry up to 7 people.

Thale Noi is an important habitat for various wildlife, particularly waterfowl. January to April is the time of the year with the largest number of migrating birds and the sunrise hours are best for observation. Besides that, you will certainly spot water buffaloes. Local fishermen can be spotted too, checking their fish traps and nets but also unknowingly posing for photos. The long-tail boat glides across the water strewn with lotus flowers like a carpet. And when there are no plants on the surface, it acts as a mirror, reflecting incredible formations of clouds.

There are many photo spots when the boatman switches off the engine so you can take in all that view in silence.

Other interesting places

Chaloem phrakiat bridge.

Spanning 5.5 kilometres, it is the longest bridge in Thailand. There are some rest stops so you can pull over and take your photos if you are driving. When you enter the bridge from the Gulf of Thailand side, you may spot giant square-shaped nets which are mounted on a wooden frame named ‘ yo ‘ in Thai. The nets are dipped into the water and then raised to catch the fish which can then be sold at local markets. The very picturesque Twin House is located more or less about halfway along the bridge, on its left side.

Phatthalung

There are no must-see places in town, however, some are worth the visit if you have time to spare.

Phatthalung Museum is a former residence of the Governor of Phatthalung. Beautiful, Thai-style houses are now accessible to the public. When it comes to temples, I would recommend visiting Wat Khuha Sawan , with a cave full of Buddha statues and Wat Khao Chiak with 800+ steps uphill and beautiful panoramic views as a reward. To finish the day, Saen Suk Lampam Beach is a good spot for enjoying lakeside views, especially during sunset.

Phatthalung may not have the touristy glamor of the islands or the popular attractions of Chiang Mai , but that's part of the appeal. It's a lesser-known province in the southern region, and offers opportunities to get away from the backpacking crowds and tap into some of Thailand's more obscure history and attractions.

Phatthalung was once designated one of the 12 royal cities, and was strongly influenced by Indian religious culture in earlier centuries. This area is also where Thailand's style of shadow-puppet play and the Nora dance tradition originated.

Thale Noi is the largest bird sanctuary and first wetlands reserve in Thailand . Nearly 200 species of birds make their homes here for at least part of the year, including great cormorants, pheasant-tailed jacanas, lesser whistling ducks, white-breasted waterhens, and many others.

Birding tours for tourists, researchers, and serious bird enthusiasts are one of the most popular things to do in Phatthalung.

In addition to bird-watching opportunities, visitors can see reed mat-making demonstrations and tour local villages.

The best time to visit is between October and March, when many birds are here and the plant life is at its most vibrant.

Perhaps the most recognizable sight in this southern province is the mountaintop that overlooks it all.

Khao Ok Talu is easy to spot. The mountain stands 250 meters high, and a staircase eases the way for those who want to make the climb and enjoy a bird's-eye view of Phatthalung.

This Ayutthaya-period structure has the distinction of being the first royal temple in Phatthalung . Visitors enter a cave to see both reclining and sitting Buddhas, and will find the initials of royal family members on the walls.

Behind the wat, a flight of steps leads to a grotto. Numerous statues of reclining and seated Buddhas, some gold plated, can be found in the large hall of rocks illuminated by daylight.

A bodhi tree, with copper leaves, rises above them. Nearby, a smaller grotto was once inhabited by hermits who left several Buddha statues here. From a chedi up on the cliffs there are marvelous views across the mountains, the town, and Thale-Luang Lake.

The fishing village of Ban Lam Pam lies about seven kilometers east of Phatthalung on the banks of Songkhla Lake. A boat trip to Tham Malai Grotto will take you to another popular natural landmark: two prominent cliffs on the Phatthalung plain.

The cliffs are called "mountain of the pierced heart" (the straight, towering cliff has a deep hole through it) and "mountain of the decapitated head." According to legend, the cliffs are two women who fought each other out of jealousy and were turned to stone. There is a small shrine on the hill (at the entrance to the dripstone cave).

This monument, located near the town center, honors the courage of Phra Maha Chuai, a monk who rallied local people to fight and defeat the Burmese forces in the Nine Armies War during the reign of Rama I.

Take it easy in the warm waters of these thermal springs, found in the village of Khao Chai Son, about 20 kilometers north of town. This is a great place to visit to decompress from sightseeing and enjoy the lush jungle scenery of the Phatthalung area.

The natural springs here naturally flow at a temperature of about 140 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have time and are looking for other things to do nearby, the Yai Hom and the Kao Chaison caves are just minutes away and are worth visiting as well.

At 5.5 kilometers in length, Chalerm Phra Kiat is the longest bridge in Thailand . It connects two different provinces and offers stunning views over the water and the fishing villages that call the Wang Tanot River home.

One of the most famous sights from the bridge is the abandoned twin houses sitting on stilts in the river. The view over the water is particularly stunning at sunrise, when the reds and oranges of the sky bounce off the water.

Formed at least partially by mining operations, the red rocks at the Grand Canyon Phatthalung might not be exactly as grand as the name implies, but they're certainly pretty to look at. There's plenty of water around the rock formations and even shaded places to sit down for a cold drink or some snacks.

Over the last couple of years, a number of small open-air restaurants and cafés have opened up here as well, offering great views over the water and the thick greenery all around it. If you have the right shoes, you can even scramble up the passages in between rocks for some higher up views.

That said, after some hesitation, I decided to add the destination anyway on the Thailandee.com because it has been shown in several travel TV shows and definitely worths the detour. And its population, its craftsmen, its shadow puppet masters who enthusiastically perpetuate a century-old tradition,they all deserve to be able to live better thanks to tourism. Phatthalung (พัทลุง) is a city in the Southern Gulf Coast region of Thailand .

Phatthalung is on the west coast of Songkhla Lake, 860 km from Bangkok . This mountainous city is among the ancient cities in the south. Khao Ok Thalu or Mount Ok Thalu, the symbol of the city, is prominent by its height and can be seen from a distance. The performing arts of Nang Talung (puppet shadow play) and Nora dance have their origins in this city. It was assumed from evidence that Phatthalung had been a town built in the Srivijaya period. The original town was at Hua Khao Daeng on the coast, now opposite the city of Songkhla.

From Bangkok, there are three possible routes:

• Follow Hwy 4 to Chumphon and, at the Pathomphon intersection, take a turn toward Ranong, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang, and Phatthalung, a total distance of around 1,140 km.
• Follow Hwy 4 to Chumphon and switch to Hwy 41 toward Phatthalung, a total distance of 840 km.
• Follow Hwy 4 past Chumphon, Surat Thani, and Nakhon Si Thammarat, change to Hwy 403, and at the Khao Chum Thong junction, switch to Hwy 41 toward Phatthalung.

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) serves Phatthalung. Tel. 1690, +66 2 2237010, +66 2 2237020, or contact the Phatthalung Railway Station at Tel. +66 74 613106.

There are four trains per day from Bangkok, taking about 16 hours. Different trains have different combinations of 1st class sleepers, 2nd class A/C sleepers, 2nd class fan sleepers, and seats (not recommended as all these trains travel overnight). The train departing Bangkok at 16:10 and arriving in Phattalung at 08:26 is recommended, it has 2nd class sleepers, both A/C and fan carriages. 1st class A/C tickets cost 1500 baht, 2nd class A/C 1500-1700 baht, 2nd class fan sleepers 575 baht. Upper berths are always around 10% cheaper on Thai sleeper trains.

• Khao Ok Talu ( เขาอกทะลุ ). Phatthalung's "mountain", having an elevation of around 250 m. There is a flight of stairs leading the way up to the mountaintop overlooking the city of Phatthalung. ( updated Jul 2018 )
• Namtok Phraiwan Waterfalls ( น้ำตกไพรวัลย์ ), Tambon Khlong Chaloem, Amphoe Kong Ra ( From Phatthalung town, take Hwy 4; at the Kong Ra T-junction, turn right on Hwy 4122 for ~29 km. Follow signs for 3 more km ). Daily, 08:00-17:00 . The waterfall is in the Khao Banthat Wildlife Reserve in Tambon Khlong Chaloem. It is in natural surroundings rich in tropical flora. Parking and a restaurant are nearby. Take a mini-bus on the Namtok Phraiwan-Phatthalung Line at the bus stop diagonally opposite the Phatthalung Railway Station. The mini-buses depart daily every 15 minutes from 07:00-17:00. The last bus from Namtok Phraiwan to Phatthalung leaves at 15:00. ( updated Jul 2017 )
• Phra Phutthanirarokhantarai Chaiyawat Chaturathit or Phra Si Mum Mueang ( พระพุทธนิรโรคันตรายชัยวัฒน์จตุรทิศหรือพระสี่มุมเมือง ). This bronze Buddha image in the posture of meditation is enshrined in a pavilion with four porches on the foreground between the city hall and provincial court of Phatthalung. ( updated Jul 2018 )
• Wat Khuha Sawan ( วัดคูหาสวรรค์ ). This is one of the ancient monuments of Phatthalung. Inside the cave, a giant reclining Buddha image, pagoda, and other Buddha images are found together with some earthen votive tablets of the Srivijaya period. ( updated Jul 2018 )
• Wat Wang ( วัดวัง ). The ubosot (ordination hall) is in the architectural style of the Rattanakosin era, with the "chofa", gable finial, "Bai Raka" crockets, and a front portico. • Rulers' New and Old Palaces ( วังเจ้าเมืองพัทลุง วังเก่า – วังใหม่ ). Once they served as a residence cum offices of the governors of Phatthalung. Today, some parts of them remain. The palaces were registered as an ancient monument in 1983. ( updated Jul 2018 )

• Thale Noi Non-hunting Area ( เขตห้ามล่าสัตว์ป่าทะเลน้อย ). The first non-hunting area founded in Thailand. Interesting things at the Thale Noi Waterfowl Park are the Thale Noi Palace, sea of blooming lotus in the morning, flocks of waterfowls, the nesting and egg-laying grounds of waterfowls at Ao Mo and those at Khuan Thale Mong, Khuan Khi Sian Ranger Station, and the Sala Nang Riam viewpoint. • Khao Pu – Khao Ya National Park ( อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาปู่ – เขาย่า ). The most geographical features are forests in the Banthat Range which has a complex of mountains with Khao Hin Thaen as the highest mountaintop. Most of the flora is moist evergreen forest. Wild animals consist of 60 species of mammals. In addition, other places of interest are as follows: Tham Matcha Pla Won (ถ้ำมัจฉาปลาวน) A cave, about 2 km from park headquarters. Inside, there are 3 spacious chambers, stalactites, stalagmites, a limestone curtain, and many bats. The Asian giant toad and millipede are also found here. Pha Phueng (ผาผึ้ง) A limestone cliff, around 300 m from the park headquarters. Giant bees always come to make hundreds of hives here every year from February to April. ( updated Jul 2018 )
• Bang Kaeo Shadow Puppet Figure and Handicraft Centre ( ศูนย์ศิลปหัตกรรมรูปหนังบางแก้ว ). The Bang Kaeo Handicraft village consists of 25 members who carve hides into puppet figures for Nang Talung and Nang Yai shadow plays, as well as new figures in patterns required by customers. • Khaeng Phon Lak Phra or Chak Phra Tradition ( งานประเพณีแข่งโพนลากพระหรือชักพระ ). Held on the fourteenth day of the waxing moon, the full moon day and the first day of the waning moon in the eleventh lunar month, which coincides with the end of Buddhist Lent. It is a tradition to move around Buddha images both by land and by river. In Phatthalung, it is observed by land. Beating phons (drums) control the movement of a Buddha image procession. Each procession representing a temple has its own drum beaters. When two processions meet, they exchange a challenging medly of drum beating. A phon beating competition is, therefore, held every year at the Phatthalung Stadium and Hat Saen Suk Lampam (Lampam Beach), Amphoe Mueang Phatthalung. Activities in the event include a phon drumming contest by representatives from temples in Phatthalung and neighbouring provinces, a phon procession contest, a phon beating style contest, dancing performances, Sat Tom (throwing a traditional dessert made of sticky rice wrapped with a young leaf of Kapho or mangrove fan palm), a Buddha image procession contest, religious rites, water sports on Lampam Lake, local arts and exhibition of Phatthalung and nearby provinces, such as Krachut or bulrush mat weaving and coconut shell products. การติดต่อกับผู้ซื้อสินค้า/การจัดส่งสินค้าและบริการ เนื่องจากตอนนี้อยู่ในช่วงการทดลองใช้ Readme Marketplace ผู้ซื้อจะทำการติดต่อซื้อขายโดยตรงกับช่องทางที่คุณได้ลงทะเบียนไว้เป็นหลัก ซึ่งคุณจะต้องระบุเงื่อนไขและรายละเอียดของสินค้าให้ครบถ้วน รวมทั้งรายละเอียดในการจัดส่งสินค้า เช่น จัดส่งพัสดุโดยระบบขนส่ง, นัดรับ หรือทางอีเมล์ในกรณีที่เป็นประเภท e-voucher เป็นต้น โดยผู้ซื้อจะทำการติดต่อกับผู้ขายผ่านปุ่มที่ระบบตั้งค่าไว้ โดยผูกกับช่องทางที่ทางผู้ขายหรือร้านค้าได้ลงทะเบียนไว้ เพื่อทำการสอบถามเกี่ยวกับสินค้านั้นๆ และทำการปิดการขายโดยตรงกับผู้ขาย หากมีการโอนเงินซื้อสินค้า ผู้ซื้อจะต้องทำการจ่ายให้กับผู้ขายหรือร้านค้าโดยตรงเท่านั้น ไม่ได้ผ่านการชำระเงินของ Readme Marketplace แต่อย่างใด ซึ่งทางผู้ขายหรือร้านค้าจะต้องทำการจัดส่งสินค้า หรือบัตรกำนัลนั้นๆ ไปตามที่อยู่ที่ผู้ซื้อได้ระบุให้ จัดส่งภายในระยะเวลาไม่เกิน 3 วันทำการหลังจากได้รับการชำระเงินแล้ว หากกรณีที่ล่าช้าเกิน 3 วันทำการ และมีการร้องเรียนจากทางผู้ซื้อ ทาง Readme จะทำการระงับบัญชีของคุณเป็นระยะเวลา 7 วันทำการ เพื่อดำเนินการตรวจสอบ และหากพบพฤติกรรมที่ผิดกฏนโยบาย หรือ เข้าข่ายหลอกลวง ทาง Readme จะทำการปิดบัญชีของคุณทันที และหากพบว่ามีการดำเนินการฟ้องร้องทางกฏหมายจากทางผู้ซื้อ ทางทีมงาน Readme พร้อมให้ความร่วมมือในการส่งมอบหลักฐานให้กับทางเจ้าหน้าที่ที่เกี่ยวข้องเพื่อดำเนินการตามขั้นของกฏหมาย *หมายเหตุ: ในระหว่างที่ร้านค้าถูกระงับชั่วคราว 7 วัน ร้านค้าจะไม่สามารถทำการซื้อ/ขายสินค้าต่อได้ แต่คำสั่งซื้อที่คงค้างอยู่ในระบบ คุณสามารถดำเนินการจัดส่งสินค้าได้

การระบุจำนวนสินค้า และการแจ้งสินค้าหมด เมื่อคุณได้ทำการลงขายสินค้า คุณต้องระบุจำนวนและเงื่อนไขการใช้งานให้ละเอียดครบถ้วน พร้อมเงื่อนไขในการจัดส่งให้ชัดเจน และหากทำการขายสินค้านั้นหมดสต็อกแล้ว จะต้องทำการกดในระบบว่า “สินค้าหมดแล้ว” ทันที เพื่อป้องการความสับสนสำหรับผู้ซื้อ

สำหรับสินค้าที่จัดส่งแล้ว เมื่อผู้ขายได้ทำการจัดส่งสินค้าแล้ว จะต้องทำการแจ้งรหัสติดตามการจัดส่งสินค้า (Tracking code) ให้กับผู้ซื้อภายใน 3 วันทำการนับตั้งแต่วันที่ผู้ซื้อยืนยันการชำระเงินแล้ว มิเช่นนั้นจะถือว่าละเลยและทำผิดกฏนโยบายการใช้งานแพลตฟอร์มทั้งที และบัญชีของคุณจะถูกระงับชั่วคราว 7 วัน โดยทางทีมงานจะทำการตรวจสอบในลำดับต่อไป

การระบุข้อความโฆษณา ห้ามมิให้ลงประกาศขาย หรือ เชิญชวนให้ไปซื้อขายบนแพลตฟอร์มอื่นๆ การระบุข้อความโฆษณา เชิญชวนให้ลูกค้าทำการโอนเงินค่าสินค้าให้โดยตรงไม่ผ่านระบบ Readme ซึ่งไม่ควรระบุข้อความโฆษณาที่เกี่ยวกับข้อมูลบริษัทอื่นๆ เป็นต้น

นโยบายสินค้าต้องห้ามและสิ่งของที่ถูกจำกัด เราอนุญาตให้ลงประกาศขายได้ในเฉพาะที่เป็นสินค้าที่เกี่ยวกับการท่องเที่ยว การเดินทาง ร้านอาหาร และสินค้าที่เกี่ยวข้องหรือใกล้เคียง เช่น บัตรกำนัลที่พัก ร้านอาหาร แพ็คเก็จท่องเที่ยวต่างๆ บัตรส่วนลดพิเศษ สินค้าประเภทกล้องถ่ายรูป ชิ้นส่วนประกอบกล้องถ่ายรูป แก็ตเจ็ตอุปกรณ์ และอื่นๆ เป็นต้น เราไม่อนุญาตให้ขายสินค้าลอกเลียนแบบ หรือ สินค้าที่ละเมิดทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาไม่ว่าในกรณีใดๆ ก็ตาม หรือสินค้าใดๆ ที่ไม่เกี่ยวข้อง ทางทีมงานมีสิทธิ์ปฏิเสธการลงขายได้ทุกเมื่อ โดยไม่ต้องแจ้งให้ทราบล่วงหน้า หากสินค้าของคุณผิดกฏและถูกระงับอย่างน้อย 7 วันทำการ หรือถูกลบ คุณจะได้รับข้อความแจ้งเตือนว่า...สินค้าของท่านถูกระงับ(ถูกลบแล้ว) เนื่องจาก ผิดกฏนโยบายการลงขายสินค้า เป็นต้น

กฎเกณฑ์การโฆษณาสินค้า ห้ามใช้ข้อความ คำโฆษณาเชิญชวนเกินจริงเพื่อให้ผู้อื่นหลงเชื่อ และต้องระบุเงื่อนไขและรายละเอียดของสินค้าให้ครบถ้วน พร้อมระบุราคาขายให้ชัดเจนทุกครั้ง

การลงขายสินค้าที่ต้องมีเครื่องหมาย มอก. ในกรณีที่มีการลงขายสินค้าประเภทอุปกรณ์กล้องถ่ายรูป และชิ้นส่วนแก็ตเจ็ต หรืออุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ต่างๆ จะต้องระบุว่าอุปกรณ์ชิ้นนั้นได้รับเครื่องหมายมาตรฐานใด ที่แสดงว่าสินค้าได้รับมาตรฐานหรือผ่านการรับรองมาตรฐานแล้ว เช่น เครื่องหมาย มอก. หรือเครื่องหมายตามมาตรฐานที่ตามกฏหมายระบุไว้ เช็ครายละเอียดได้ที่ https://www.tisi.go.th/website/standardlist/comp_thai

• ตรวจสอบและพบว่ามีการลงขายสินค้าต้องห้าม/สินค้าเข้าข่ายผิดกฎการขายภายในร้านค้า หรือพบพฤติกรรมที่ไม่เหมาะสมในการลงขายสินค้า สแปม หรือ เข้าข่ายหลอกลวงเป็นต้น
• มีการแจ้งรีพอร์ตสแปม หรือ ร้องเรียนมาจากทางผู้ซื้อและตรวจสอบพบว่าเข้าข่ายผิดจริง

ค่าธรรมเนียมในการเปิดร้านค้าทางการ (Verified Shop) กับ Readme Marketplace ไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย จนกว่าจะแจ้งประกาศอย่างเป็นทางการ (อยู่ในช่วงทดลองใช้งาน)

ข้อควรระวังเพื่อป้องกันการโกงจากมิจชาชีพ ไม่แนะนำให้ส่งสินค้าให้กับผู้ซื้อจนกว่าจะได้รับการคอนเฟิร์มการซื้อขายที่ชัดเจน หรือได้รับใบสลิปโอนเงินจากผู้ซื้อ ผู้ขายต้องทำการตรวจสอบให้แน่ใจว่ามียอดเงินเข้าบัญชีจริงก่อนส่งสินค้าเสมอ ทาง Readme ไม่มีส่วนรับผิดชอบต่อความเสียหายที่จะเกิดขึ้นได้

Phatthalung is an ancient city in southern Thailand. It is a land of mountains. In town is Khao Ok Thalu, which is clearly visible from afar. Phatthalung is regarded as the birthplace of the shadow play and the Nora dance. From ancient times to the present, Phatthalung has been closely linked to Songkhla Province, particularly in terms of geography, history and migratory settlements through many ages. During the Srivijaya period (13 th -14 th Buddhist century), the Phatthalung community received Indian cultural influence in the way of Mahayana Buddhism.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit Phattalung is when a part of its iconic lake, Thale Noi is covered with pink lotus flowers in bloom so it will between February and May. Taking a boat tour to see the sun rise on this small lake with its fishing huts on stilts is the must visit here.

Phattalung may not have the touristic glamor of the islands or Chiang Mai, but that's part of the appeal. It's a lesser-known province in the southern region, and offers opportunities to get away from the backpacking crowds and tap into some of the country's more obscure history. Phattalung was once designated one of the twelve royal cities, and was strongly influenced by Indian religious culture in earlier centuries. This area is also where Thailand's style of shadow-puppet play and the Nora dance tradition originated.

1. Thale Noi Bird Sanctuary

Thale Noi is the largest bird sanctuary and first wetlands reserve in Thailand. Nearly 200 species of birds make their homes here for at least part of the year, including great cormorants, pheasant-tailed jacanas, lesser whistling ducks, white-breasted waterhens, and many others. There are separate tour options for tourists and for researchers and serious bird enthusiasts. In addition to bird-watching opportunities, visitors can see reed mat-making demonstrations and tour local villages. The best time to visit is between October and March when many birds are there and when the plant life is at its most vibrant.

2. Khao Ok Talu

Perhaps the most recognizable sight in this southern province is the mountaintop that overlooks it all. The mountain stands 250 m high, and a staircase eases the way for those who want to make the climb and enjoy a bird's eye view of Phattalung.

3. Wat Khuha Sawan

This Ayutthaya-period structure has the distinction of being the first royal temple in Phattalung. Visitors enter a cave to see both reclining and sitting Buddhas, and will find the initials of royal family members on the walls. Behind the wat, a flight of steps leads to a grotto; numerous statues of reclining and seated Buddhas, some gold plated, can be found in the large hall of rocks illuminated by daylight.

A bodhi tree, with copper leaves, rises above them. Nearby, a smaller grotto was once inhabited by hermits who left several Buddha statues here. From a chedi up on the cliffs there is a marvelous view across the mountains, the town and Thale-Luang Lake.

4. Ban Lam Pam

The fishing village of Ban Lam Pam lies about 7 km east of Phattalung on the banks of Songkhla Lake. A boat trip to Tham Malai Grotto will take you to another popular natural landmark: two prominent cliffs on the Phatthalung plain. The cliffs are called "mountain of the pierced heart" (the straight, towering cliff has a deep hole through it) and "mountain of the decapitated head". According to legend, the cliffs are two women who fought each other out of jealousy and were turned to stone. There is a small shrine on the hill (entrance to the dripstone cave).

5. Phraya Thukkharat (Chuai) Monument

This monument honors the courage of Phra Maha Chuai, a monk who rallied local people to fight and defeat the Burmese forces in the Nine Armies War during the reign of Rama I.

6. Khao Chai Son Hot Springs

Take it easy in the warm waters of these thermal springs, found in the village of Khao Chai Son, about 20 km north of town. This is a great place to decompress from sightseeing and enjoy the lush jungle scenery of the Phattalung area.

Thale Noi Bird Watching Festival

Thale Noi Bird Watching Festival was first held in 1998 as a special activity to mark the Amazing Thailand project, and promote the most important tourist destination of Phatthalung. The festival consists of eco-tourism activities lasting 1 month (14 February-15 March) when there are plenty of birds and Thale Noi is at its most beautiful. The festival takes place in the Thale Noi Non-hunting area. Daily activities include boating on long-tailed boats to observe flora and fauna, local performances, agricultural produce for sale, demonstrations of native life, and an assortment of local products for sale.

Phon Beating Festival

This is the most important festival of the province. This popular Buddhist tradition is held at the end of the Buddhist Lent when people have a Buddha image procession by land or water. Phatthalung normally has a land procession accompanied by drums to give the procession a good rhythm. When a procession from one temple passes another temple, the procession participants will challenge the temple people to come out and see who can beat the drums to give the best rhythm. This tradition has evolved to become a grand festival of Phatthalung. It is held every October. Processions will go take Buddha images throughout Phatthalung city. The festival is held at Phatthalung Provincial Stadium and Saen Suk Lam Pam beach in Amphoe Muang. Activities of the festival include drum competitions of temples in the province, dramatic arts, boat procession contest, folk plays, religious ceremonies, water sports on Lam Pam Lake such as boat races and water boxing, exhibitions, and arts and culture demonstrations of Phatthalung and nearby provinces like reed mat making and coconut shell products.

From Bangkok, there are three possible routes:

• Follow Hwy 4 to Chumphon and, at the Pathomphon intersection, take a turn toward Ranong, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang, and Phatthalung, a total distance of around 1,140 km.
• Follow Hwy 4 to Chumphon and switch to Hwy 41 toward Phatthalung, a total distance of 840 km.
• Follow Hwy 4 past Chumphon, Surat Thani, and Nakhon Si Thammarat, change to Hwy 403, and at the Khao Chum Thong junction, switch to Hwy 41 toward Phatthalung.

There is no airport in Phatthalung. Visitors can take a flight to Trang or Hat Yai.

International travelers to Thailand will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or ATK test results from October 1st, 2022 onward.

In a new move to attract travelers during peak season, Thailand is doing away with the requirement of needing vaccination certificates or Covid-19 negative results in the case of unvaccinated passengers. Additionally, those infected with Covid-19, but have mild symptoms don’t need to isolate from next month. The same applies to those who test positive but display no symptoms.

Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul announced these changes on Thursday after the National Communicable Diseases Committee (NCDC) had a meeting on Wednesday.

Instead of isolating those who have contracted the disease would be required to wear a mask, socially distance themselves from others and wash their hands frequently for the first five days. They also need to stay away from those who are immunocompromised and vulnerable.

Dr. Sophon Iamsirithaworn, deputy director-general of the Department of Disease Control, informed that since the present Covid-19 mutation doesn’t cause serious symptoms in most people, disease control measures can be relaxed.

National Security Council secretary-general Supoj Malaniyom added that the new measures are being put in place to help improve the economic conditions of the country.

“The primary aim will be to ensure the economy is back on track so people could earn their livelihoods once more,” he said.

Location on Map

Phatthalung area received Indian cultural influence since around the 7th century CE. October will be the time of Phon Lak Phra Festival – the most important festival of the province. Attention travelers: Summer is right around the corner — which means summer vacation is, too. So today we’re sharing six ways Google tools can help you prepare for and make the most of your next trip.

1. Get trip ideas with generative AI in Search

Exploring a new place is one of the best parts of traveling. But uncovering the best spots to visit (or stay, or eat) can be difficult or time-consuming. So just ahead of the summer travel season, we’re testing new, AI-powered capabilities in Search that can do some of the heavy lifting for you.

Now, if you’re opted into Search Generative Experience (SGE) and you ask something like “plan me a 3 day trip to Philadelphia that's all about history,” you’ll get a set of suggestions that includes attractions and restaurants, plus an overview of your flight and hotel options.

These itineraries will bring together a range of ideas from sites across the web, as well as information like reviews, photos and other Business Profile details that people have submitted to Google for more than 200 million places around the world.

With all of these links and resources organized in one place, it’s easy to dig deeper and learn more about your destination or compare different options. And when you’re ready, you can quickly export your trip ideas to Gmail, Docs or Maps to keep tweaking or share with your travel companions.

This capability is available in English in the U.S. — just enroll in Search Labs and enable SGE to try it out. As with everything in Search Labs, this functionality is experimental. So as you research these trip ideas, share your feedback with a quick thumbs up or down.

2. Find lists of recommendations in Maps

If you prefer to do a bit more hands-on research, we’re making it easier to discover lists of recommendations right in Google Maps — from sites you love and in-the-know locals.

Starting in select cities in the U.S. and Canada, if you search for a city in Maps, you’ll now see lists of recommendations for places to go from both publishers — like The Infatuation — as well as members of the Maps community. We’re also introducing trending, top and hidden gem restaurant lists created by Google Maps, based on what people are interested in or loving in that city.

3. Create even more customized lists in Maps

We’re also adding new tools to help you customize lists you create, so you can easily organize your travel plans or share your favorite spots.

When you create a list of places in Maps, you’ll be able to choose the order they appear. So you can organize them by top favorites or chronologically like an itinerary — tailoring your list based on whatever you need.

You’ll also be able to link to content from your social channels — like your review of the delicious meal you ate — for more context on why you saved that spot to your list.

Both of these updates are coming to Google Maps on Android and iOS globally later this month.

4. Curate your travel wardrobe with Search

Part of the fun of planning a trip is planning your outfits. Our new personalized style recommendations tool can help you easily discover more products you’ll like. When you search for apparel or accessories in the U.S. on mobile browsers or in the Google app — like “men’s polo shirts” — you’ll now see a section labeled “style recommendations.”

You can quickly rate options with a thumbs up or down (or a swipe left or right), and get instant results with items that complement your vacation wardrobe. Not quite ready to buy? We’ll remember your preferences for next time to help you narrow down your options much faster.

5. Translate your screen with Circle to Search, or what’s around you with Lens

If you’re traveling somewhere and don’t know the local language, deciphering even basic information can be challenging. Maybe you’ve found a great restaurant to check out, but you need to translate the PDF menu on their website. Or perhaps you’re getting acquainted with local musicians on your favorite streaming app and want to understand their lyrics. Google Translate can help, but copying the text or switching to another app can take you out of your flow.

Luckily, Circle to Search , available on select Android devices, will soon let you instantly translate whatever’s on your screen. Simply long press the home button or navigation bar and tap the translate icon.

Translations in Circle to Search will start rolling out in the coming weeks. Circle to Search is currently accessible on Pixel 7+ devices and the Samsung Galaxy S24 series , in all languages and locations where they’re available. And starting this week, we’re rolling out Circle to Search to more Android phones, including foldables, and tablets. 1

Meanwhile, if you need to translate something around you, like a street sign or poster, Google Lens can step in to help. Just tap the Lens icon in the Google app and select the translate filter. Lens will automatically detect the source language and blend the translated text over the original.

6. Use multisearch in Lens as your personal tour guide

Lens is also great for exploring the world around you, especially with the latest AI-powered upgrades to multisearch. Just point your camera, ask a question about what you see, and you’ll get helpful insights in an AI overview. Perhaps you’re at a museum and want to know more about a certain work of art. You can snap a photo, ask “why did the artist paint this?” and get a quick overview with the information you need, along with links to dive deeper. It’s almost like having a tour guide in your pocket.

Use Lens and multisearch to learn about paintings, like Monet’s Water Lilies at The Art Institute of Chicago.

AI overviews on multisearch results are available in English in the U.S. for everyone — no enrollment in Search Labs required. To get started, look for the Lens camera icon in the Google app for Android or iOS .

For Baltimore-area residents, bridge collapse means longer commutes and uncertain prospects

For Marylanders like Becky Grimes, who works at an Amazon warehouse near the eastern end of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, the bridge's sudden collapse immediately changed the shape of her day — and many days ahead.

She normally takes the Key Bridge to and from work, but it now takes an extra half hour each way to drive through the city of Baltimore instead of around it.

"I'm not looking forward to it," she says. "There's a lot of people that already want to transfer out."

The collapse of the bridge and the closure of the Port of Baltimore is upending life for countless people in the Chesapeake region.

For many residents, it's the bridge closure that will shake up their daily lives, lengthening commutes and clogging the city's tunnels.

But for the regional economy, the far bigger blow is that the fallen bridge and the container ship Dali are blocking the Port of Baltimore .

"Because of the port being suspended, we don't have any traffic yesterday, today, at least for the next week or a week and a half," says Brent Howard, president of the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce. "That's money that we're losing every day because those ships are being redirected to other ports. Norfolk, Newark, Philadelphia are getting that revenue on a daily basis that was already slotted for Baltimore."

And the Key Bridge is a toll bridge that last year generated 7% of the total revenue for the state's transportation authority, according to an analysis by Moody's.

Howard says getting the port and bridge running again is pivotal to the region , both economically and emotionally.

"We're the Chesapeake," he says. "Baltimore is really connected to the port and connected to water and connected to ships and vessels. That's something that's always been intrinsic to Baltimore's history, going back to our inception."

A bustling port, now in limbo

As a little girl in the 1970s , Brenda Cotsairis's father brought her to a sandy beach to see the Key Bridge under construction.

She works at a local grocery store and has seen the area weather its ups and downs.

"For a lot of years, good jobs were gone and then things started to come back," she says. "And now we have Tradepoint Atlantic and we have the port bustling — it's a very, very busy port and it's thriving for Baltimore. And now it's devastated."

Daraius Irani, an economist at Towson University, estimates that the port's closure is costing between $10 million and $15 million a day in lost economic activity. And at least another $1 million a day in state and local taxes won't be collected while the port is closed.

Still, Irani says the port — which last year had its best year ever — should fully rebound. That's in part because Baltimore's port is about a day further inland than many others on the Eastern seaboard, putting it closer to points in the Midwest.

He says if the port remains closed for months, there could be some furloughs, but he doesn't expect layoffs among workers there. And Irani says the bridge's collapse will likely create some jobs.

"You hate to say this, but in any kind of disaster, there's obviously the opportunity for the rebuild. So new construction jobs will likely come up because they need to build a new bridge," he says.

The bridge's absence will almost certainly have a longer impact on the small businesses located near its entrances on either side of the Patapsco River.

"We're not shut down I mean, it's not like that," Gold said Wednesday. "It's just ... the community is going to have to readjust."

With the Key Bridge closed, the traffic that would have passed by to get on I-695 is now taking alternate routes — routes that don't pass by Key Brewing's taproom.

"When I came to work this morning, past 95 to our office, it was the least amount of traffic that I've ever seen on my commute," Gold says.

He says that's a sign that people aren't coming that direction anymore, at least during their daily commutes.

Is he worried about his business surviving? Not just yet.

"It's still too early," he says. "It's still too fresh to kind of know how deep of an impact this is going to have."

It all depends on how long it takes to clear the port — and rebuild a very long bridge.

New York Takes Crucial Step Toward Making Congestion Pricing a Reality

The board of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority voted to approve a new $15 toll to drive into Manhattan. The plan still faces challenges from six lawsuits before it can begin in June.

New York City completed a crucial final step on Wednesday in a decades-long effort to become the first American city to roll out a comprehensive congestion pricing program, one that aims to push motorists out of their cars and onto mass transit by charging new tolls to drive into Midtown and Lower Manhattan.

The program could start as early as mid-June after the board of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the state agency that will install and manage the program, voted 11-to-1 to approve the final tolling rates, which will charge most passenger cars $15 a day to enter at 60th Street and below in Manhattan. The program is expected to reduce traffic and raise $1 billion annually for public transit improvements.

It was a historic moment for New York’s leaders and transportation advocates after decades of failed attempts to advance congestion pricing even as other gridlocked cities around the world, including London, Stockholm and Singapore, proved that similar programs could reduce traffic and pollution.

While other American cities have introduced related concepts by establishing toll roads or closing streets to traffic, the plan in New York is unmatched in ambition and scale.

Congestion pricing is expected to reduce the number of vehicles that enter Lower Manhattan by about 17 percent, according to a November study by an advisory committee reporting to the M.T.A. The report also said that the total number of miles driven in 28 counties across the region would be reduced.

“This was the right thing to do,” Janno Lieber, the authority’s chairman and chief executive, said after the vote. “New York has more traffic than any place in the United States, and now we’re doing something about it.”

Congestion pricing has long been a hard sell in New York, where many people commute by car from the boroughs outside of Manhattan and the suburbs, in part because some of them do not have access to public transit.

New York State legislators finally approved congestion pricing in 2019 after Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo helped push it through. A series of recent breakdowns in the city’s subway system had underscored the need for billions of dollars to update its aging infrastructure.

It has taken another five years to reach the starting line. Before the tolling program can begin, it must be reviewed by the Federal Highway Administration, which is expected to approve it.

Congestion pricing also faces legal challenges from six lawsuits that have been brought by elected officials and residents from across the New York region. Opponents have increasingly mobilized against the program in recent months, citing the cost of the tolls and the potential environmental effects from shifting traffic and pollution to other areas as drivers avoid the tolls.

A court hearing is scheduled for April 3 and 4 on a lawsuit brought by the State of New Jersey, which is seen as the most serious legal challenge. The mayor of Fort Lee, N.J., Mark J. Sokolich, has filed a related lawsuit.

Four more lawsuits have been brought in New York: by Ed Day, the Rockland County executive; by Vito Fossella, the Staten Island borough president, and the United Federation of Teachers; and by two separate groups of city residents.

Amid the litigation, M.T.A. officials have suspended some capital construction projects that were to be paid for by the program, and they said at a committee meeting on Monday that crucial work to modernize subway signals on the A and C lines had been delayed.

Nearly all the toll readers have been installed, and will automatically charge drivers for entering the designated congestion zone at 60th Street or below. There is no toll for leaving the zone or driving around in it. Through traffic on Franklin D. Roosevelt Drive and the West Side Highway will not be tolled.

Under the final tolling structure, which was based on recommendations by the advisory panel, most passenger vehicles will be charged $15 a day from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. The toll will be $24 for small trucks and charter buses, and will rise to $36 for large trucks and tour buses. It will be $7.50 for motorcycles.

Those tolls will be discounted by 75 percent at night, dropping the cost for a passenger vehicle to $3.75.

Fares will go up by $1.25 for taxis and black car services, and by $2.50 for Uber and Lyft. Passengers will be responsible for paying the new fees, and they will be added to every ride that begins, ends or occurs within the congestion zone. There will be no nighttime discounts. (The new fees come on top of an existing congestion surcharge that was imposed on for-hire vehicles in 2019.)

The tolls will mostly be collected using the E-ZPass system. Electronic detection points have been placed at entrances and exits to the tolling zone. Drivers who do not use an E-ZPass will pay significantly higher fees — for instance, $22.50 instead of $15 during peak hours for passenger vehicles.

Emergency vehicles like fire trucks, ambulances and police cars, as well as vehicles carrying people with disabilities, were exempted from the new tolls under the state’s congestion pricing legislation .

As for discounts, low-income drivers who make less than $50,000 annually can apply to receive half off the daytime toll after their first 10 trips in a calendar month. In addition, low-income residents of the congestion zone who make less than $60,000 a year can apply for a state tax credit.

All drivers entering the zone directly from four tolled tunnels — the Lincoln, Holland, Hugh L. Carey and Queens-Midtown — will receive a “crossing credit” that will be applied against the daytime toll. The credit will be $5 round-trip for passenger vehicles, $12 for small trucks and intercity and charter buses, $20 for large trucks and tour buses, and $2.50 for motorcycles. No credits will be offered at night.

Best MagSafe Charger

The new Qi2 wireless charging standard , developed with Apple’s input, brings MagSafe-style magnetic charging and a 15-watt charging rate. Sadly, most third-party MagSafe chargers with a puck-shaped design charge your iPhone at a slower rate (7.5 watts), but you won't have to worry about that with this 15-watt Anker charger. Few phones beyond Apple’s MagSafe lineup (iPhone 12 and later) work with the magnets today, but Qi2 is backward compatible. This pad from Anker stays put, has a durable aluminum casing that stays relatively cool, and has a 5-foot USB-C cable permanently attached, giving it the edge over Apple’s official MagSafe puck , which only has a 3-foot cable. It can also charge AirPods that have a magnetic charging case.

Best MagSafe Stand

Striking the perfect balance between heft and magnetism is tricky, but Nomad nails it with its new stand. It's heavy enough that you won’t knock it over when you fumble for your iPhone, and you can peel it away from the charger one-handed. The stand comes in black or white and feels sturdy, featuring an aluminum and glass body with rubber padding. It is officially Qi2 certified , so it can charge any Qi2 phone (including all the MagSafe iPhones) at the maximum 15-watt rate. It can get a little warm when charging, but not unusually so. You get a high-quality braided cable in the box, but you will need a 20-watt wall charger. We like Nomad’s 20-watt charger ($20) , but I can’t help feeling it should have been included at this price.

Best MagSafe Pad

Folks who prefer a pad should consider Nomad’s Base One. Like the stand, it's sculpted from metal and glass with rubber padding and has enough weight that you can pick your MagSafe iPhone off of it with one hand. The Base One is also officially MagSafe certified to charge at the maximum 15-watt rate, and you get a lovely braided cable in the box, though you need to supply your own 20-watt charger. If you don’t care about the 15-watt charging rate, perhaps because you charge overnight, you can opt for the regular Nomad Base and save some cash. It has a similar design and is MagSafe compatible, but tops out at 7.5 watts for iPhones. Stock seems to be fluctuating for the Base One, but you can get a notification when it's available again.

Best 2-in-1 MagSafe Charger

Our favorite 2-in-1 MagSafe charger is perfect for charging your iPhone and AirPods (or any other wireless earbuds with wireless charging support). It has a wide, circular base with a shiny metallic post connecting the MagSafe charging pad. Ours is white, but there’s a black option too. Stick your iPhone on in landscape view, and you can enjoy StandBy mode , effectively turning your iPhone into an alarm clock. This charger can provide the top 15-watt rate and includes a power adapter with a 5-foot cable permanently attached.

Best 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger

Folks with the holy trinity of Apple products will love Belkin’s 3-in-1 charging tree. It has a similar design to the 2-in-1 above, but the metal post is T-shaped, with a pad for your iPhone on one side and an Apple Watch spot on the other, plus a Qi-certified base for AirPods . It is fully certified to deliver 15 watts and can fast-charge capable Apple Watches . You can also pop your iPhone in landscape orientation if you want StandBy mode . Best for Travel

Space is at a premium when you travel, but Anker’s MagGo 3-in-1 folds away to an impressively compact form. It doesn’t scrimp on power, charging your iPhone or Qi2-certified phone at up to 15 watts on a magnetic pad that can adjust to your preferred angle. A second pad behind the main pad charges AirPods or other wireless earbuds, and there is a fold-out Apple Watch charger. You get a USB-C cable (around 5-foot) and a wall adapter in the box.

★ Alternative: Mophie's 3-in-1 Travel Charger With MagSafe ($150) is a nice option though it takes up a bit more space when it's unfolded. It folds neatly into a fabric case with a cable and charging adapter. It will fast-charge iPhones at 15 watts, and this updated model includes fast-charging support for the Apple Watch.

Best MagSafe Car Mount

This simple MagSafe mount slots into any vent in your car and has a powerful magnet array that keeps your iPhone securely in place, even on bumpy roads. There’s a ball joint so you can angle your iPhone slightly for a better view, and it’s easy to place it on the mount and remove it one-handed. You get a 12-volt car adapter and a USB-C cable in the box. Vent mounts are unobtrusive and may help your phone keep cool. Best MagSafe Power Bank

Sling a MagSafe power bank in your bag, and you can attach it when you need to top up your iPhone battery. This power bank boosted my iPhone 14 Pro’s battery by 78 percent and took around three hours to charge (since wireless charging is not the most efficient method, you will never get the stated capacity of a MagSafe power bank). You can continue using your iPhone while it’s charged because it doesn’t add much bulk, and there’s a small fold-out kickstand for propping your iPhone in portrait or landscape orientation. Just ensure you get the newer (A1614) version, as it has the USB-C port on the side and can turn off if you just want to use it as a stand. A Headphone Stand and Wireless Charger

Combining functionality is a great way to save desk space, and this headphone stand cleverly doubles as a MagSafe charger. There’s a stainless steel arm with a rubber section to lay your cans on and a MagSafe charging spot on the base. There’s also a USB-C port that you can use to top up your headphones or other devices. While you get a USB-C cable in the box, you'll need to use your own 20-watt wall charger.

Having a place to dump your keys, jewelry, and watch, and charge your phone and earbuds, can help you get out faster in the morning. This classy and roomy tray from Courant has a MagSafe spot for your iPhone, a secondary charging spot for your earbuds, and space for all your other daily essentials. I tried the black linen version, but you can opt for lighter shades or a leather finish (though it’s more expensive). The wireless charging is slow, but there is a spare USB-C port. There's also a bright, unnecessary LED on the back of this charger that I had to cover when using this on my nightstand.

It looks classy and neat, but the linen version picks up dust easily. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu has the Leather-Saddle model—he says it doesn't show dust easily and looks great after months of use.
