HOW TO BREW WITH ESPRO TRAVEL PRESS

• Install filter by screwing onto rod. Use both filters.
• Add 3-4 tbsp/15-20 g coarse-ground coffee
• Add hot water to ‘MAX COFFEE’ line and stir
• Cover with filters. Twist drinking lid on to seal.
• Wait 4 minutes.
• Press down slowly.
• Twist travel lid in place.
• If you love the clean, oil-free flavor of pour-over coffee, ESPRO includes paper filters that pair with the Travel Press’s coffee filters.* After step 1 above, follow steps 1A-1C below to insert a paper filter, then continue to step 2. 1A. The Espro Travel presses all arrived well packed. I bought 4, I was unable to use the 15% discount ( although it qualified for this purchase ) so I settled for the 10%. I bought 2 travel presses with just the coffee filter and 2 with the coffee and tea filter. The coffee filter presses came with a small coffee scoop with the accessories, interestingly the coffee and tea press didn't, that was surprising given that the coffee/tea press costs more. The products were great as per Espro usual, I recommend them frequently and now I recommend your site as the place to buy them, supporting small businesses is important, I'm a small scale coffee roaster/seller myself, I sell to family, friends and coworkers. This travel mug lets you make great French Press coffee on the go

For regular coffee drinkers, balancing your morning mug with your morning commute can be a bit tricky. Personally, I rarely wake up in time to put on a pot of coffee for myself, leading to my eventual trip to a food truck or a Starbucks, depending on the amount of change I can gather from the depths of my pockets.

This past weekend, I tried out an Espro travel press in an attempt to address my morning needs. The Espro simultaneously serves as a French Press to brew your coffee and a travel mug to drink it in. As French Press is my preferred method when brewing my own coffee at home, the idea of the Espro was intriguing, and in experience, it was functional, although at some points frustrating.

First the benefits: you can get real French Press flavor using the Espro. The process is just as simple as a regular press: place grounds in the bottom, pour over hot water, wait a few minutes (four was recommended), stir, and press. My coffee was good; as delicious as you can expect Folgers to be. While my biggest concern with the unit was its ability to filter out the coffee grounds, I was surprised to find that my coffee had less sediment in it than when I use my actual French Press. Beyond the coffee it made, the mug sealed extremely well preventing any spillage, and kept my coffee hot for as long as it took for me to drink it, and definitely had time to spare.

My biggest frustration with the Espro was how little coffee it could hold. As someone who can easily go through three or four cups a day, a 12-ounce serving, no matter how tasty, was a pretty limited supply of Joe. Also, because of the design of the Espro, adding cream and sugar is a bit of a hassle; your best bet is to pour your coffee out into a separate mug if you want to make any modifications.

Overall though, I had a positive experience with the Espro. If you are looking for an alternative to your morning trip to Starbucks, it’s a solid way to brew your own coffee without having to put on a full pot, especially if you prefer it black.

How to use a travel p1 espro french press.

Looking to make delicious French Press Coffee in your new ESPRO  Travel P1 coffee press ? The steps below will help you get started with a quick guide to get you brewing as soon as your press reaches your door.

What You Need

• - ESPRO Travel P1 French Press
• - Boiling Water
• - Coarse Ground Coffee
• - Paper Filters (Optional)

Measure out your grounds according to the chart below (coffee is subjective so no judgement on how you choose to brew - experiment to find what you like best).

Pro Tip: Can’t find your tablespoon – simply fill up your bottom filter all of the way with grounds and dump them in your French press for a quick medium brew (remember to rinse off and lock your filters back together before using).

Pour measured coffee into the bottom of the vessel and then put the two filters back together by twisting to lock.

Pro Tip: Add an ESPRO paper filter between your dual micro-mesh filters for an even cleaner brew.

Fill the press with water until the water meets the maximum fill line located on the inside wall of your ESPRO Travel French Press and give a quick stir to ensure all the grinds are wet.

Pro Tip: °F, but the ideal temperature to make French Press Coffee is 195-205 °F so let your boiled water sit a few moments to bring it down a few degrees.

Place the lower lid, that has the dual micro-mesh filters attached, onto the press gently twisting the lower lid on; allow the coffee steep for up to 4 minutes

Press slowly, counting to 15, until the plunger reaches the bottom of the French Press.

Pro Tip: Our filters have a seal to prevent grounds from reaching your coffee after the coffee is pressed, so there will be more resistance when plunging the coffee.

Put the cap on your travel press and remove the top cap any time you need a sip of delicious coffee, knowing your grounds are staying far away from your perfect brew.

Pro Tip: Paper filters can be composted with the coffee grounds!
