Now in its fourth year, Sky Safari is one of the Wiltshire attraction’s most popular events; featuring spectacular mass launches, tethered daytime displays and dramatic night glows.

The Exclusive Cup - #SkySafari

Welcome to The Exclusive Cup, SkySafari

Almost 250 hot air balloons from all corners of the world ascended from Longleat in September 2019, making Sky Safari Europe’s largest annual hot air balloon event!

Due to Covid-19 and the restrictions in place we took the difficult but appropriate decision to postpone The Exclusive Cup for 2020, replacing the event with a drive-in night glow, the first of its kind in the UK.

In 2021, we returned to Longleat with a series of spectacular night glows, with over 100 teams participating in our signature choreographed glows over three nights.

In 2022, Exclusive Ballooning returned with a full Sky Safari event, featuring two bespoke atmospheric night-glows crafted in memoriam of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Over 120 balloons returned to Sky Safari in 2023, featuring mass ascents, competition flights and spectacular night glows.

Plans are underway for the next Sky Safari event, with details to be announced in due course.

Top tips for the weekend

Longleat have handily listed some of their top tips for the weekend:

  • Stay tuned for weather updates posted on social media throughout the weekend! Sky Safari is hugely popular so we highly recommend you book your tickets in advance: https://bit.ly/2Lcodk r
  • There is still Annual Pass Restricted Day Ticket availability for Saturday 10th September and we've also added more Annual Pass availability for the 9th and 11th September. Head to the Annual Pass Zone to book: https://bit.ly/2caadXo
  • We’ll have tethered balloon displays, mass launches and a night glow each day. If you'd like to take a look at our full ballooning schedule, you can do so here: https://bit.ly/3x7WGcH
  • All hot air balloon flying is weather dependent, which means that the hot air balloons will be unable to take to the sky in windy or wet conditions. The good news is that there is still plenty of attractions to keep you occupied if some balloon activity can't go ahead as planned.
  • For those who want to come to the park to see the balloons when it's a bit quieter, you can come along to our morning mass ascents which take place daily at 7am. They are quite often the best flying conditions and most spectacular. These are included with your Day Ticket or Annual Passes (Annual Passes excl. 10th September).
  • There will be food and drink concessions up by the main viewing area, as well as additional toilet facilities.
  • And last but not least, don't forget to use #SkySafari so we can find all your fantastic photo
