One could argue that there are simply too many electro pop acts on the circuit at the moment making it impossible for new artists to be given any kind of attention. Determined to cut through the masses are Philadelphian musicians Samantha Gongol and Jeremy Lloyd who come together as Marian Hill. The pair has known each other for years and years and therefore have a completely electric rapport when taking to the stage.

They have supported a number of artists on tours, notably MisterWives where they found their show was met with great reviews and an appreciation from new listeners. The high production values of their recorded works translates well and this was noted as an impressive feat for a new artist, the vocal quality of Samantha was also highly praised as she commands attention with a spell binding rendition of 'One Time'. The accompanying musicians complete a really tight live operation and one that they are likely to be able to rely on in years to come as they ascend forward.

Hearing an artist for the first time, you're taken away by how good they are. Hearing them live for the first time, completely different experience. Marian Hill & Opia went above and beyond my expectations. I expected them to be great but they were better than great. The Acoustics in the Fonda theater did their sound and vocals justice. You could feel the vibrations flowing through your body in an unbelievable way. You could tell they were giving us every drop of energy they could and leaving it on that stage. They had fun; so we had fun. Really hope to see both Marian Hill & Opia again. And will definitely be going back to the Fonda, it's an amazing experience just being in that iconic venue.

The Marian Hill show last night was amazing! Their energy is infectious and you can tell they love performing. It was also great to see them in a more intimate venue after seeing them in a festival setting at Outside Lands in August. During one of the songs Jeremy missed a beat, and one of the coolest things is that he stopped the song and said "we are going to start that one again - I want to make it right". Having someone that dedicated to their music and the audience experience can be rare and it was awesome to hear. What else can you say about Samantha outside of just flawless? Her voice is perfection even live.

an absolutely amazing experience. a great mix of fast and slow paced songs that will all make you sway your hips and bob your head. all three members are extremely talented, and they all are given their time to shine in the show. the saxophone solos especially blew me away, and seeing sammy in real life only made me have a bigger crush on her lmao. theyre all super nice people as well, talking to fans at the merch table after the show and taking pictures with them. their debut album will be out before you know it, and ticket prices will skyrocket with their popularity. see them while they're still an hidden gem!!!

The concert in San Diego was absolutely amazing! I didn't think it was even remotely possible to love them even more. They each were so passionate and into the music that it really enhanced the entire experience. It was also awesome how they each got their own time to shine a few times throughout the show as well! Seriously one of my favorites and looking forward to more of their shows and music to come!!!

Side note the opener was awesome as well! It was his first show and I would have never been able to tell. He did a spectacular job as well!

Groovy AF. These guys are a must see. Doug Fir is one of my favorite venues, being a smaller and more intimate stage, and Samantha (the singer) played the space so well I feel like she needed more room! The sax is amazing, Jeremy the keyboardist's energy is awesome...what I can I say, I love this group.

They played all the best songs from their last album, plus four from their upcoming album - the new stuff was really catchy. I'd put money on these guys rising to the top, so go see them before they explode!

I loved Marian Hill. I saw them at Lollapalooza and was so excited to come and see them again. They definitely did not let me down. I stood in line to get a good spot, and got second row right in the center. It was perfect!!! I also brought one of my friends that knew nothing of them and she had a bawl.

These guys are amazing live, incredible vocals by Samantha; Crazy beats by Jeremy, and a nice balance feature by Steve, their base/Saxophone player!

Highly recommend that whenever you can you see them live! You won't regret it!

I look forward until I see them again.

They were so good! I saw them open for MisterWives (!!) and wasn't expecting much but oh my gosh! She was so cool I just wanted to go up to her and give her a hug, the saxophone player was crazy talented and the electronic sound dude had the most energy ever seen in a human!! LOVED THEM!!

Went to see Marian Hill last night at Brooklyn Steel. Truly enjoyed the show and would see her again except not in a venue with general admission/standing. Don't care for people standing on top of one another and some rude people who just push themselves past you w/o saying excuse me.
