Stopped in to get some gas and to review my GPS and road maps. Parked and started going through one by travel destination routes. The next thing I knew it was an hour later and I still wasn't finished going through the routes in the places I wanted to stop, but right behind my vehicle was a sign that said I could not stay any longer. I got nervous that they were going to tow my awesome van so I had it out before I was finished. I didn't even get gas because I was afraid I was there for an hour and 10 minutes instead of the hour that is allowed by the sign . I ended up just getting gas at the gas station across the street did not need my vehicle towed it owners expense specially, when I was in it would've been very inconvenient and expensive.

It's a very convenient location, but I have to downrate them from 4 to 3 because it has been over a year now since they have had Drake's Funny Bones. I check every time I stop here and have been hoping they would restock them, but I can wait no more. These historic confections are hit-and-miss at road-stop type places, since Hostess has reasserted hegemony in what is left of the snack cake niche, and I had said that it was because they carried them that they got a 4. So now, they get a 3 If they were to bring back the best ever junk food, I would uprate them back to a 4.

I visited Love's by total accident (thanks GPS). We made the wrong turn and ended up at Love's...which worked out perfectly because we needed to fill up the tank and get drinks for our road trip. The gas was the lowest we saw during our way up. The staff were friendly and quick and the stop was well stocked. Everything was clean (we didn't use the restrooms so unsure about that). We were pretty happy with this wrong turn! They also have a dog area which is great for pet owners traveling with their four legged friend.

I got this cool keychain and sum twinkies and takin very tasty!! The bathrooms are clean and the gas's is 15 cents cheaper per gallon.

Good stop right before Massachusetts. Good variety of road trip snacks and travel plaza style food. Bathroom was clean. Gas prices were reasonable

Great stop for fuel and food. Just west of the NY-MA border on I-90 b fore the Mass Pile. Clean and friendly with good food options and great variety store with lots of cool finds for your travels. I recommend the frozen/slushie drinks.

I don't usually review things like rest areas but sometimes you just gotta give props where props are due. I stopped at Love's Travel Stop last week while traveling from Buffalo to the little nutmeg state of Connecticut. This rest area sits right off the highway and offers both food from places like Dunkin' Donuts and Subway while also offering a bunch of snack and hot food options from the rest stop itself. This massive store has all the drinks, snacks, toiletries, movies, clothes, and weird statues that you could possibly want from a rest stop making this place the absolute best place to stop on the New York Throughway/Mass Pike for all of your needs. Overall, I enjoyed my quick stop at Love's Travel Stop and will absolutely be making this my go-to stop while traveling to any of the New England states.

Gatorade in the pop machine? Yes please!

Loves is one of the better truck/rest stops between Albany and Boston off 90 to stop at. It has the feel of a cross between a gas station and a gift shop at the airport. It contains a subway where you can eat fresh and brows the Internet using the guest WiFi at Dunkin' Donuts to undo whatever you had at Subway. There is also the usual mart fair from chips and soda to some form of meat rolling on hot metal cylinders. They even have a decent offering of travel useful electronics like chargers and cords as well as a auto parts store with odds and ends for some road triage on your vehicle and various curious from steam punk skulls and hats to bedazzled walking canes. The bathrooms could use a little more attention as each time I stop there they seem like they haven't been looked over by staff in a bit. All in all, I like Loves. I don't love loves, but I like it more than the other stops between upstate and Boston off 90.

Apparently you need both tire techs to take out the trash and keep everyone else waiting to get new tires. It's eating away my clock man. Tire shop has been closed for over an hour and a half. Called front desk and was informed that she would have someone come over (told that to all 3 of us waiting for tires)

HPD arrests man accused of Love's Travel Stop parking lot killing allegedly caused by 1 punch swing

H ouston police put a 43-year-old man in handcuffs this week, nine months after they said he threw the punch that took a 59-year-old man's life last summer.

A Houston Police Department Crime Suppression Team took Maximiliano Gamez into custody on Tuesday on a count of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

According to HPD, its homicide division detectives believe Gamez got into it with Andres Marroquin on June 26, 2023, in the Love's Travel Stop on North McCarty Street in the city's Pleasantville Area.

Police initially said that Marroquin was in a vehicle that was backing out of a parking space that afternoon when Gamez, in a blue truck, pulled behind and blocked the victim in.

Marroquin exited his vehicle and exchanged words with Gamez, who allegedly punched him in the head and drove off, police said.

Marroquin fell to the ground and suffered head trauma so severe that he spent four months at Ben Taub Hospital before he was pronounced dead on Nov. 1, 2023, according to HPD.

An HPD news release sent Wednesday didn't elaborate on how detectives identified Gamez as their suspect.

Court paperwork revealed Gamez had prior convictions, including an August 1996 aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon count and a felon in possession of a weapon charge almost 12 years later.

Gamez was due in court on Thursday.
