We are passionate about sharing the stories and voices in the Plain community through our knowledgeable drivers and support staff. Throughout our 32 year history, our drivers represent members and former members of many of the Plain community sects such as Old Order Amish, New Order Amish, Beachy Amish, Old Order Mennonite (Joe Wenger), Horning Mennonites (black bumper), Groffdale Conference Mennonite, Old Order River Brethren, Dunkard Brethren, Piker Mennonites and many more. Whether you have visited us 30 years ago, yesterday or tomorrow, it is our mission to connect you with a first hand viewpoint and conversations with those who have lived and walked in the Plain community. They can tell you about being Old Order, New Order, and all about rumspringa!
We offer several different routes through REAL Amish country farms. We take you through the middle of Amish country farms, traveling many roads that do not have electric poles. See the large farmhouses which are equipped with additions, called the Dawdi house, where Amish grandparents live as Amish do not use skilled care facilities in old age. Ask your driver to point out one-roomed schools, windmills and water pressure tanks, and Amish homes that are not dairy farmers”. You will see real Amish Life. We offer long rides and can create custom Amish town rides for you. We give private carriage rides to meet the purpose and suit your pocketbook!
HOLIDAYS: open all holidays EXCEPT Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day PETS: Pets are welcome! Private rides are available if your pet prefers privacy. Please NO EXOTICS or pets not accustomed to horses. If your pet barks incessantly, they may upset the horses and not be able to accompany you on the ride. If you take your pet on one of our Farm Tours, your pet may come in contact with other local farm animals and pets. HANDICAPS & DISABLED: We welcome disabled and handicapped guests. We are located on a commercially coded property which has wheelchair ADA accessibility. Our staff are happy to lift you out of your wheelchair and assist in boarding your carriage or wagon. We have smaller stepstools available to make loading easier for those with physical restrictions. However, there are no carriages or wagons which have electric lifts or have the ability to roll manual wheelchairs or electronic wheelchairs on to them. Additionally, Farm Tours do require getting off your wagon and walking around a local, privately owned Amish farm. We highly encourage sending an email with questions and completing a reservation to document these specifics so that we can be prepared to accommodate your needs. We are honored to make this an experience of a lifetime!

We offer both 2-wheel motorized scooters and 3-wheel “scoot coupes” (no balancing ability required & fit two people). Riding a 2-wheel scooter is very similar to riding a bicycle. We will provide every operator with training prior to the tour. We focus on balance, throttle, and brakes. You don’t have to have ever driven (or ridden) on a scooter before, but booking a two-wheel scooter is strongly discouraged for guests that have never ridden a 2-wheel bicycle. If we do not feel comfortable with your ability to safely operate a scooter, we will not take you on the tour (unless you’re a passenger with someone else). We offer 3-wheel Scoot Coupes which require no balancing ability to operate. Riders not able to operate a two wheel scooter may upgrade to a Scoot Coupe, for an additional fee, based on availability. Amish Farm Tour
Experience firsthand and tour a working amish dairy farm.
Travel by horse and buggy to an interactive tour featuring the sights, sounds, and smells of a genuine working certified organic Amish dairy farm.
This ride typically takes 65 minutes.
Adult – $36.00 Children 12 & Under – $18.00 Children 2 & Under – FREE
Our buggy takes you through beautiful Amish country and transports you a certified organic Amish Dairy farm where you will witness how an Amish family manages their farm.
The first thing you’ll see as you drive down the farm’s long driveway is the dairy barn and outstanding silos. The driver will then take you off of the buggy, and guide you through the cow stable and milk barn.
Then, as you enter the horse barn, see where the draft horses and mules are kept. You can pet the horses, and maybe even see the pigs and chickens. At the end, there is a little craft shed for you to purchase homemade Amish goods.
With our Amish Farm Tour, you’ll receive a scenic buggy ride, which will take you past Amish farms and stores, and the opportunity to actually get off of the buggy and join your driver on an unforgettable tour of a real working Amish farm.
This ride is a family favorite, great for young kids, and an absolute must for anyone interested in observing how a genuine Amish family operates in today’s modern world.
