The 11 best restaurants in Niagara Falls
The best restaurants in Niagara Falls are a slice of Canadian charm, accentuated by Ontario wines and local produce
While Niagara Falls serves up views that can keep anyone sated, the nuts and bolts of it all is that hunger will strike. You are only human, you know? Plenty of food options exist on both sides of the border , from big-name chains to cozy boutique eats. You can't go wrong if the food is delicious and the falls are in view.
The Canadian side of Niagara Falls used to be all fast food everything, but those dog days are over. Local chefs have revolutionized the scene, embracing the quality of Ontario’s vineyards and ingredients from the region’s farms. The results are delicious, no matter your menu of choice. Check out our pick of the best restaurants in Niagara Falls, and enjoy a well-rounded taste of Canada in the process.
Been there, done that? Think again, my friend.
Best restaurants in Niagara Falls
1. ag inspired cuisine.
AG Inspired Cuisine is the city’s best in creative cooking, local wines, and service. Numerous awards keep it at the top of a fine dining scene it practically created, yet it still feels like a hidden gem in the depths of the Sterling Inn & Spa. The seasonal menu—using ingredients harvested daily from the restaurant’s farm, where they also keep bees—is paired with Ontario wines.
2. The Flour Mill Scratch Kitchen Restaurant
Escape from the lights of the entertainment district and Niagara Falls Boulevard into this rustic oasis inside the Old Stone Inn, now a boutique hotel. Diners sample dishes based on local ingredients, such as Niagara cheeses or house-cured meats, in a romantic setting with a large open fire. Booking is essential in this cozy space, but worth it.
3. Carpaccio Ristorante
Carpaccio is a popular Italian restaurant tucked away among the fast-food outlets on Lundy’s Lane, serving classics such as arancini, penne arrabbiata, or brick oven pizzas, perhaps paired with a crisp Ontario pinot grigio. In true Italian style, the coffee here is excellent. This place is busy, loud, and lively, so if you desire a quieter meal, go midweek or earlier in the evening.
4. Weinkeller
A wine bar with a carefully curated fixed-price menu and a matching range of Ontario wines, Weinkeller is perfect for a guided tour of local produce and wines, perhaps on the open patio, with live music. It’s next door to the Nightmares Fear Factory, but any bad dreams here will only come from devouring excess cheese, although we’d argue that ‘devouring excess cheese’ is impossible.
5. Kitchen 76 at Two Sisters Vineyards
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Two Sisters Vineyards (@twosisters_vineyards)
Located 15 miles north of the falls at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Kitchen 76 is the culinary output of the fantastic Two Sisters Vineyards, serving Italian-inspired cuisine in a gorgeous setting. Reservations are a must, but there is a grace to Kitchen 76 that positively screams ‘special occasion.’ Beautiful wines are paired with beef carpaccio, roasted Queuec farm chicken, and much more.
6. Tide & Vine
Serving the best in seafood and local wines, Tide and Vine oyster house started life as a VW food truck, and quality has remained a constant on this eatery’s journey. The oysters here are great, while other favorites include blackened octopus and baked scallops. The beef burgers are fantastic too.
7. Mai Thai Cuisine
Taste some good ol' Thai home cooking at this family-run joint. Its location close to the Canada One Factory Outlets makes it the perfect destination for a mid- or post-shopping meal. Or both, of course. Order the Mai Thai platter to share for a flavorful starter.
8. Secret Garden Restaurant
Niagara Falls can be (understandably) impersonal at times, such is the magnitude of its touristic appeal, so it is a delight to find somewhere homely for lunch. Secret Garden is just that, boasting a charming patio and decades of family-run stories with the falls in view. The broad menu covers classic breakfast options like pancakes to pasta, burgers and more for lunch. The patio is dog-friendly, and the team is always happy to put together meals for furry friends.
9. Niagara Brewing Company
The Niagara Brewing Company is a massive corner pub with snacks, sandwiches, pizzas, and its own-brewed range of beers. Sample a flight of Canadian craft beers as you listen to live music and watch life go by on Clifton Hill. Hit happy hour and share the varied appetizers (don’t miss the smoky ‘olde York kettle chips’).
10. Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room
Yes, it is a little bit gimmicky, but how many opportunities will you get to eat in a revolving dining room above the world’s most famous waterfalls? The Skylon Tower is a must in its own right, and grabbing a bite to eat while visiting is a better-than-decent option. Continental cuisine fills the menu, but we won’t lie; the menu is of secondary importance here. The food is good, but diners are here for the 360 views of Niagara Falls below.
11. Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse (@brasa.niagara)
Brasa brings authentic Brazilian brilliance to the falls, serving sumptuous steaks surrounded by all the extravagance of an international show. The meat here is as succulent as it gets, tender-as-anything cuts of beef, pork and lamb that is as flavourful as it is moreish. This is an all-you-can-eat affair, and diners use special disks to signal when they are ready for more of them cuts. Bring your appetite to this one.

Top of the Falls restaurant
Travel guide.
You can eat well in Niagara Falls . When you finish visiting the Cave of the Winds, there is a nice restaurant overlooking the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
The tourist infrastructure around the most famous waterfall in the world is not only hotels, restaurants and souvenir stores, but also a huge “amusement park” that offers numerous attractions. But we are here to talk about the Top of the Falls restaurant , this will be a beautiful experience with a fantastic buffet and a truly splendid view of all the falls.
Where is the Falls restaurant located?
Next to the observation deck is the Top of the Falls restaurant.
It is located inside Niagara State Park on the New York/US side with one of the best views. You can walk to get there or take the streetcar once in the park. The second floor has a gift store and restrooms, the elevator or stairs will take you upstairs to the actual restaurant where you can dine inside or outside depending on weather and wind conditions.
What is Top of the Falls Restaurant like?
The restaurant is located practically on the waterfront and offers seating against a large glass wall overlooking the horseshoe and Canadian side. The location is fantastic, overlooking the Horseshoe Falls.
Reservations are not necessary, the waiting time for a table should not be long (up to 20 minutes). When it comes to food, we describe it as normal, but try the local cheeses: the restaurant works with local vendors who produce cheeses and wines and offer a tasting menu (served on a wooden tray shaped like the state of New York!).
View from the Top of the Falls restaurant
This is an elegant and refined restaurant that makes you appreciate; enjoy one of the most spectacular views of our planet, 360° very impressive, absolutely unique, emotions are not lacking even in the distance.
It is a tower with the restaurant on top , it is round, it rotates very slowly and so you can enjoy a wonderful view of the falls, while you eat (if you can get the table near the windows), and the panorama is always changing.
All the walls are glazed and the layout of the tables, both planimetrically and altimetrically, allows you to have an exceptional view of Niagara Falls from any location.
You can ask to be seated outdoors on one of the two patios on the second floor, although you can also sit inside. Wherever you sit you have a great view of Niagara Falls.
What can you eat at the Top of the Falls restaurant?
In this restaurant it is possible to have lunch for 15-20 dollars. The food is buffet style, so you can eat as much as you want. In general, this area of New York only has Italian, fast food or Indian-American food.
The menu is not huge, but there is plenty to choose from. A favorite is a burger and fries, which is delicious.
Other selections on the lunch menu include: appetizers, wraps, chicken sandwiches, boneless chicken wings and some other entrees such as the charcuterie board, olives and cheese.
Be sure to order the veal sandwich that comes on a soft caraway bun with sea salt and a little juice, called Beef on Weck.
You can choose sea turtle salad which consisted of spinach and fresh berries, toasted almonds, cheese, dried cranberries with a concord grape seed vinaigrette dressing.
Try the beef with vegetables or fish (large haddock fillet) with fries or onion rings, flaky cod fried to perfection and inside the tartar sauce is just as perfect, Buffalo Mac, Asian noodle salad.
Stop by the bar for drinks such as Raspberry Mule, Moscow Mule and some beers. They also offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. All the staff is friendly and helpful.
Is it worth going to the Top of the Falls restaurant?
This is a good place for lunch, especially since there are not many restaurants in the area that serve this type of healthy food made with local products. The food and service are not top notch, but the view makes up for the shortcomings.
Duration: You need to dedicate at least one hour.
Cost: $16 for a hamburger (I recommend the “three sisters”!), $17 for a plate, $3.25 for a tea.
When is the best time to go? Lunchtime is when we have the best views – what a great time! When you visit Goat Island , you need to have lunch or dinner at this restaurant, don’t miss it!

Niagara Falls Restaurants With A View: 7 Restaurants Not To Miss
Whether you want a restaurant overlooking Niagara Falls or a meal overlooking the stunning Niagara River, you’ll find the view you’re looking for here. Plus, these restaurants offer some of the best dining in the region. Bon appétit!
Top of the Falls Restaurant
Looking for a side of “wow”? The Top of the Falls Restaurant at Niagara Falls State Park is where they serve it. Overlooking Terrapin Point on Goat Island, the panoramic restaurant overlooks Niagara Falls, boasting jaw-dropping views of the Horseshoe Falls. Your meal will be accompanied by these thrilling views thanks to epic floor-to-ceiling windows and open-air dining decks.
Food-wise (remember, you came here to eat), the restaurant is a proud ally of the Taste NY movement, so you’re guaranteed to get an authentic taste of the Empire State. Especially if you order the restaurant’s signature fish and chips: delicious haddock, beer-battered with Buffalo-brewed ale. And for dessert? Well, you’re in New York — say cheesecake!
Bella Vista Ristorante
Along the upper Niagara River sits the Bella Vista Ristorante , located inside the Niagara Riverside Resort. The hot spot offers both an indoor and outdoor dining experience — weather dependent, of course — and serves classic Italian cuisine. If you’re arriving by boat, they offer free docking for boaters to dock and dine-in, or take-out. And during the warmer months, guests can enjoy live music every Saturday night on the patio.
How’s this for quirky? What was once a functioning coal silo is now one of the most fun (and scenic) food experiences in the region. The Silo , also located in Lewiston, offers magnificent bird’s-eye views of the Niagara River with an equally impressive menu.
The deliciously notorious special is The Silo’s Original Haystack: seasoned rib-eye steak loaded with melted Mozzarella and toasted hash browns all served on a fresh baked hoagie roll. If you’re still up for a challenge, the ice-cream caboose next door sells a one-gallon sundae with a winner’s T-shirt up for grabs if you manage to down it. Not for the faint-hearted (or the lactose intolerant).
Wilson Boat House Restaurant
If you’re venturing along the banks of Lake Ontario, the charming Wilson Boat House Restaurant is the perfect place to drop anchor. For more than 100 years, visitors have been soaking up the stunning views — and the sublime seafood dishes.
Staples include creamy Parmesan and basil risotto with day-boat scallops and shrimp, or lobster-stuffed puff pastry with a fragrant seafood bisque. Pair it with a glass of local riesling and a screensaver-worthy sunset and you’ve got yourself an evening to remember!
Red Coach Inn
It pretty much feels like Valentine’s Day every day at Niagara Falls’ charming Red Coach Inn . Not only does the historic inn ooze an old-school romance, it also offers great Niagara views. The inn’s Rapids Room overlooks the Upper Niagara River, just as it’s about to plunge over American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls.
The Red Coach is open for dining throughout the day: think strawberry Belgian waffles for breakfast, indulgent vegetable Wellington for lunch and delicious New York strip-loins for dinner. Looking for an even better view? Consider overnighting in one of the inn’s Niagara view rooms upstairs!
Spring Lake Winery Cafe
Enjoy a lakeside view with your lunch! Spring Lake Winery Café offers a gourmet-inspired menu of delicious chef selections, from artisanal soups to decadent cheese platters. And don’t forget the extensive wine tasting menu. From local chardonnays to seasonal sangrias, there’s something for everyone to indulge in.
Cap off your meal with truly one-of-a-kind wine sorbet — an over-21-year-old treat you won’t soon forget.
Griffon Brewery and Gastropub – Lewiston
Located on Water Street in Lewiston, the Griffon Brewery and Gastropub offers breathtaking riverfront views and great grub. Between the large outdoor patio and window-lined dining and lounge seating inside, you are sure to enjoy the surrounding scenery.
The menu has classics with unique twists, like the PB&J Burger and the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich. Take advantage of the brewery setting and enjoy a drink with your meal – they have a long, long list of beer, wine and spirits to choose from!
Picnic Paradise
How do you like the idea of BYOP? Bringing your own picnic to Niagara Falls State Park not only ensures that winning al fresco flavor, but you also score the best seats in the house. All Niagara County parks offer open green spaces, allowing you to take in the views of everything from the American Falls to the Whirlpool rapids — and of course, that delicious meal!
Looking to stock up your picnic basket? Swift Current Eatery , conveniently up the street from Niagara Falls State Park offers a variety of fresh deli sandwiches, salads, and smoothie bowls. They also offer pre-packaged items to grab-and-go!
You have your meals planned, but have you decided where you’re going to stay yet? Learn about all the places to stay in Niagara Falls and find the perfect location today!

Peterhof (Petrodvorets)
Versailles was, however, the inspiration for Peter the Great's desire to build an imperial palace in the suburbs of his new city and, after an aborted attempt at Strelna, Peterhof - which means "Peter's Court" in German - became the site for the Tsar's Monplaisir Palace, and then of the original Grand Palace. The estate was equally popular with Peter's daughter, Empress Elizabeth, who ordered the expansion of the Grand Palace and greatly extended the park and the famous system of fountains, including the truly spectacular Grand Cascade.
Improvements to the park continued throughout the 18 th and 19 th centuries. Catherine the Great, after leaving her own mark on the park, moved the court to Pushkin, but Peterhof once again became the official Imperial Residence in the reign of Nicholas I, who ordered the building of the modest Cottage Palace in 1826.
Like almost all St. Petersburg's suburban estates, Peterhof was ravaged by German troops during the Second World War. It was, however, one of the first to be resurrected and, thanks to the work of military engineers as well as over 1,000 volunteers, the Lower Park opened to the public in 1945 and the facades of the Grand Palace were restored in 1952. The name was also de-Germanicized in 1944, becoming Petrodvorets, the name under which the surrounding town is still known. The palace and park are once again known as Peterhof.
