Are you planning a cruise on Regal Princess ? We have Regal Princess menus and food photos to get you started on your cruise. You’re in for a treat! Regal Princess is a beautiful ship with an attentive crew. While the ship was built in 2015, she’s still in excellent condition, and there are MANY dining options onboard. To get an idea for what your cruise on Regal Princess might be like, check out our Boarding Day Vlog and our First Impressions Video .

From the main dining room to specialty dining, Alfredo’s Pizzeria, and the Horizon Court Buffet and Bistro, the selection is plentiful. We found the service in the dining rooms to be excellent, and whichever dining room you choose, you’re sure to have a wide selection of options each evening. From seafood to steaks, pasta, and vegetarian options, there’s quite a bit to pick from.

We had the opportunity to test out the main dining room and specialty menus during our cruise on Regal Princess and will share our thoughts and the Regal Princess menus and food with you! For reference, our sailing took place in October 2024, and was a 12-night voyage. If you’re cruising one of the 7-night voyages from Galveston, you’ll likely see a similar menu structure, with some of the days being omitted.

We were on the cruise that repositioned the ship from Fort Lauderdale to Galveston, Texas, and enjoyed a combination of dining venues onboard. We dined nine nights in the main dining room (aka the “MDR” in cruise-speak!) and three nights in specialty venues (twice at Sabatini’s and once at Crown Grill).

Along with the Regal Princess menus, we have some photos of items we ordered, as well as a bonus look at a few specialty dining options at the end of this article. We’ll look at the Crown Grill and Sabatini’s– Princess’s signature specialty restaurants.

Main Dining Room Food Photos:

Dining in the main dining rooms on Regal Princess is a multi-course treat. Your Regal Princess Menus will feature starters, mains, and desserts, along with suggested items called “Princess Favorites” and “Princess Selects”, nightly upcharge items from Crown Grill (Rib-eye, filet mignon, lobster tail, and surf and turf are common).

One thing you’ll find on the Regal Princess Menus is a “Princess Favorites” section, where you’ll find some standby menu items each night. For example, the above-pictured salmon (sides & sauces varied nightly), an “always-available” shrimp cocktail, fettuccine alfredo, Caeser Salad, and a roasted chicken breast.

This fish and chips from the main dining room were some of the BEST we’ve ever had. They may look basic, but if you see them on the menu, give them a try! You may want seconds.

Starters vary nightly and include a selection of soups, salads, and small bites. Tip: order more than one appetizer from the Regal Princess menus if you’d like- there’s no extra charge, portions are small, and your server doesn’t mind!

Sabatini’s Food Photos:

Oh, Sabatini’s!

Princess’ Tuscan-inspired trattoria reels you in, and leaves you FULL! We can’t emphasize enough how important it is to come hungry and pace yourself here. Typically, the chef will bring you an amuse bouche of sorts to get you started, and that treat, along with the bread can be very filling. Take it slow, you’ll thank us later!

On our sailing, the Spaghetti Freschi e Gamberi (Prawns in Tomato Sauce) was available for a small upcharge. Check with your server to confirm if it’s included in the fare.

This light and crispy fritto misto was the perfect start to our meal. the lemon and spicy marinara provide balance to the fried seafood, and the calamari was oh-so-tender!

The first course (or pasta course) at Sabatini’s followers the appetizer selections and is called the “Primi Piatti”. Portions are somewhat small, thankfully! This lobster filled tortelli pasta was simmered in a rich, but light creamy lobster sauce.

This twisted pasta is also served as a “Primi Piatti” before the main, or protein course. The pesto was perfectly prepared and the arugula provided a freshness and lemony bite.

This is why you pace yourself at Sabatini’s. For dessert, we highly recommend you try everything! Thankfully, Sabatini’s offers a sampler of their Italian sweets. Mini-size portions of the rocher, tiramisu, panna cotta and zabaglione marsala will be enough for one or to share (promise!) and the perfect close to your meal.

Crown Grill Food Photos:

Crown Grill on Regal Princess is truly a treat for steak and seafood lovers. Your meal includes a starter, main, sides and dessert, and the ambiance is comfortable and elevated. For the best experience, try reserving a booth. The views are stunning, and the booths are ultra-cozy.

Always a favorite, this light Black Tiger Prawn and Papaya Salpicon starter pairs beautifully with the bread they serve at the start of the meal. The lobster cake and salads are also wonderful light starts to the Crown Grill experience.

The filet mignon was perfectly cooked to our desired temperature. Sides were served family style, and the Garlic and Herb french fries are a must-try.

Choosing a dessert at Crown Grill may be the most difficult decision you make all cruise. We were pleasantly surprised with the Key Lime Pie bar, and of course, the cheesecake (pictured above). The cobbler was also delicious – served with just the right amount of vanilla ice cream.

Alfredo’s Pizzeria Food Photos:

Alfredo’s Pizzeria, located in the piazza serves up hand-tossed made-to-order pizzas, along with starter and dessert courses. Paired with an Aperol spritz, or a glass of wine from their extensive wine menu, Alfredo’s is the perfect spot for a long afternoon lunch with friends. It does get quite noisy here, due to the location of the restaurant. So, for a more quiet experience, head to the main dining room for lunch.

In addition to classics like pepperoni, you can try a Margherita, Hawaiiana, Capricciosa, or Romana pizza here at Alfredo’s. They also have seafood, vegetarian, and even a Siciliana (tuna, tomato, red onion) pizzas along with an upcharge “pizze speciale” menu. While Alfredo’s offers three-course meals, know that the pizzas are large and filling. We observed that most guests have a hard time finishing an entire pie. Consider sharing a pizza, and enjoying some starters to compliment the meal.

The Calzone was excellent, but took a bit longer to cook than the pizzas. While the calzone on the menu comes with mushrooms, red onion, ham and oregano, you can customize your fillings.

Mozzarella Fresca starter is similar to a Caprese and is an excellent choice for a light appetizer. The insalata mista, minestrone soup, and antipasto are also wonderful starters.

If you’re not in the mood for pizza, the Rollata di Mellanzane entree is one to try! Rolled, thinly sliced eggplant filled with angel hair pasta and a wonderful tomato sauce is my go-to order at Alfredo’s. I love that the portion is small, allowing you to enjoy all three courses (and a slice of my son’s pizza!).

Close out your meal at Alfredo’s with the Tiramisu or the Crostata (apple torte). Both are wonderful and perfect for sharing over a cup of coffee and ocean views!

Princess Cruises Dining Room Menus (with food photos)

Are you going on a Princess Cruise? If so, you know that one of the best parts of cruising is the cruise food.

We’ve recently disembarked from a great cruise on the Regal Princess , and I thought I’d share the main dining room menus (main dishes, appetizers and desserts) with you. While the order of the nightly menus may be different, it’s likely that you’ll see these menus and food choices on your upcoming Princess Cruise.

I’ve included photos of the dishes we ordered as well, just to whet your appetite.

Princess Main Dining Room – Things to Know

Dine my way.

Cruising in 2022 has changed, and this includes the main dining room experience on Princess Cruises . While in the past Princess had “traditional dining” and “Anytime Dining”, this has been replaced with “Dine My Way”.

You can now reserve your dining times in advance on the Medallion Class app as you get ready for your cruise. Please note, if you’re in Club Class , you don’t need to make a reservation.

In our experience, you could also just show up at the main dining room (in our case Concerto) and be seated without an advanced reservation as well, although there could be a wait time.

Princess Favorites

In addition to nightly menu options, there are Princess Favorites that are always available. We did see some changes from past Princess Favorites. One classic that remains is the famous Fettuccine Alfredo.

Order as Much as You Want

If you are interested in more than one appetizer, or want to try 2 main dishes, go for it! In our experience, the waiters were very accommodating and would even offer to add a lobster tail to our steak dinner one night when we were undecided between 2 delicious options.

Princess Cruises has some of our favorite cruise foods. While not every dish was our favorite, we found so many main dishes, appetizers and desserts that we absolutely loved!

Regal Princess: Chef’s Table Lumiere

On our recent Princess Cruises Regal Princess cruise , we were fortunate enough to book dinner for the Chef’s Table Lumiere experience. And what a memory we will have! This intimate dining experience is held only once per cruise, and can only be booked once onboard.

Executive Chef John Convery recently joined the Regal Princess crew and his enthusiasm and culinary creativity was highlighted throughout the dinner. To begin the experience, we were greeted by Director of Restaurant Operations, Nicola Furlon and escorted to the opulent Lumiere Table in the center of the Allegro Dining Room. The Lumiere Table is a private dining table with illuminated glass centerpiece and Murano glass chandelier. It is surrounded by a shimmering crystal beaded curtain that envelopes guests in a magical space to dine.

We opted for the wine pairing add-on at booking, which began as soon as we were seated with ten other fortunate cruise passengers who booked this experience. A glass of Nicholas-Feuillatte, Brut Champagne was poured and introductions took place before the hors d’oevres course was served to each guest.

The hors d’oeuvres course was a meal in itself and my suggestion if booking this experience is to not eat all day. Our portions throughout dinner were extremely generous. This first course consisted of Citrus Salmon Gravlax, Greek salad and cheese, Chicken and Strawberry Compote Slider, Sturgeon Caviar over Steamed Potato, and Seared Ahi Tuna. This was paired with the Champagne, which was a delightful start to the meal.

Our second wine being poured was a 2021 Terra Alpina Pinot Grigio. It was paired with the soup and Ossobuco.

The soup course was a rich tomato bisque with basil, tomato, and cheese sable, poured tableside.

A Saffron Risotto Milanese with Oxtail Ossobuco topped with Parmiggiano Reggiano Crackling was the next course before cleansing our palates with and Aperol and Prosecco Sorbet, which was topped with a splash of vodka.

The red wine with our pairing menu was a 2021 Vall Llach Embruix that worked well with the next course.

The main course was a surf and turf that consisted of a Pancetta Wrapped Gorgonzola Stuffed Beef Tenderloin and Beer Battered Fried Maine Lobster served with a mushroom medley and potato nest. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked, retaining juiciness, and the lobster was pretty darn good, as well! Even my husband, who is a lobster snob (being from Maine, very particular about lobster dishes), enjoyed this play on lobster.

Dessert was a wonderful grand finale, with all guests being served simultaneously, followed by Chef and Nicola and our waitstaff presenting for applause and to answer any questions about the dishes that were served. The final wine was a sweet Errazuriz White from Valle de Casablanca, Chile.

After photos and conversation, tea and coffee were offered, along with pastry chef, Chef Federico’s Homemade Gourmandises. I was completely satisfied with the elegant dining experience and saved these last sweet nibbles to enjoy later in our stateroom.

A fun aspect to this exclusive dining experience is that no two dinners are the same. The menu will vary depending on Chef’s whim or based on regional-based ingredients. A big thanks to Chef John, Nicola, and the Princess Cruises service staff for this delightful cruise dining experience onboard the Regal Princess cruise ship.

Princess cruise breakfast menu in 2023 in the main dining room + brunch

So, what’s a Princess cruise breakfast menu like in the main dining room?!

I was on a Princess cruise ship in 2023, and I got screenshots of the main dining room breakfast menu. This is below!

In general on a cruise, you will get free food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

There are always free food options for every meal, plus snacks in between meals.

You can get pizza any time , and you can get ice cream any time during the day for free.

There are “ premium desserts ” on Princess cruise ships for which there is an added fee.

But there are always free dessert options, both in the main dining room and in the buffet.

There is a “ juice bar ” for extra health and wellness drinks for which there is an added fee.

There are “ specialty restaurants ” for dinner for which there is an added fee.

There are also other food choices that you can get almost any time throughout the day too.

There is a buffet on Princess cruise ships.

You can eat at the buffet during your time on a Princess cruise ship for breakfast. This is free.

You can get the buffet for breakfast any day of the cruise on a Princess cruise ship.

You can eat at the buffet for lunch and dinner too. This is free.

You can also go to one of the main dining rooms on a Princess cruise ship for dinner every day and lunch on sea days . This is free.

And what about breakfast in the main dining room?! Breakfast in the main dining room is also free.

For something a little less formal, you can even get a light breakfast sent directly to your room for free by ordering room service for breakfast the night before.

You can make dining room reservations for dinner , but you can’t make reservations for breakfast in the dining room.

You will just show up to the dining room during breakfast hours.

Breakfast hours in the dining room tend to be 7am to 9am.

Buffet breakfast hours are longer.

Lunch hours in the dining room tend to be 12pm to 1:30pm.

Dinner hours in the dining room tend to be 5pm to 9pm.

You will want to confirm the breakfast hours (and other meals) once you are on your cruise ship.

This information can be found in many places, and one of the easiest places to look is the daily schedule of cruise activities (aka Princess Patter aka “Princess event listings”) that will be delivered to your room every evening. On the back side is a list of hours for different services and venues throughout the ship.

Also below is how to see the breakfast menu once you are on your cruise.

Breakfast menu in the main dining room on a Princess cruise ship

Food on your Princess cruise ship may vary.

But just to give you an idea, here is the breakfast menu from the main dining room breakfast on my cruise when I was on the Grand Princess!

The breakfast menu here is from September 2023.

Most of the menu was the same every day.

The breakfast food items that changed were the “daily specials” for breakfast.

First will be the items that were mostly the same, and then following that will be the breakfast specials that was different every day.

These were the daily specials for breakfast in the main dining room on different days during the cruise.

Brunch menu

On sea days, there is lunch in the main dining room .

You may also find a brunch menu at that time.

How to see the breakfast menu on your cruise

You’ll be able to see the breakfast menu once you are on your cruise.

You can use the Princess app to see the menu for the day.

First, since not all dining rooms will be serving breakfast, you will want to find out what dining room is serving breakfast.

You can see this by looking at the back of the daily Princess activities schedule that will be delivered to your cabin every evening for the next day’s activities.

Then, you can look in the Princess app for the breakfast menu of that dining room!

You can also see the breakfast menu on the stateroom TV in your cabin !

And that’s to give you an idea of what type of breakfast food might be on the menu in a Princess cruise ship dining room!

Thanks for the uploads. This are great infos. I wonder why MSC is not providing this infos on their webside. BUT are this menus now after the updates from 27. February 2023? The prices changed then and also the assembling of the drinks in the individual package changed as well. Just wanted to make sure if this menus here are from after the 27th Feb 2023? Thanks Tom

Fans of the royal family can now have their own viral Prince Louis moment .

For the first time ever, Buckingham Palace in London will allow visitors to take guided tours of the royal residence’s east wing — including the famed balcony room where the family gathers to wave at citizens on the Mall during special occasions.

Royals have waved on the palace balcony for decades for occasions like weddings and jubilees, and King Charles’ coronation in May 2023.

A limited number of East Wing Highlights Tours go on sale on April 9.

Running daily from July 15 to August 31, the East Wing Highlights Tours will take visitors through the principal rooms of the wing, including the Centre Room which then leads onto the palace balcony, which was first used by Queen Victoria.

Sadly, tourists will not be allowed to step foot on the famous overhang.

Other highlights of the balcony room include a newly restored glass chandelier, shaped to resemble a lotus flower, and two Chinese 18th-century imperial silk wall hangings, presented to Victoria by Guangxu, emperor of China, to mark her Diamond Jubilee in 1897.

Visitors will also be led through the principal corridor, which runs the length of the wing, where paintings by artists such as Thomas Gainsborough are hung.

There are over 3,000 artifacts from the Royal Collection in the east wing alone, so visitors will have plenty to look at during the 45-minute tour.

The wing’s principal floor will be open to the public in July and August after more than five years of renovations. The palace’s 10-year plan to update its electrical cabling, plumbing and heating system will be on display.

After the east wing excursion — which is limited to 20 spots per tour and costs $95 per adult — visitors can embark on a self-guided tour of the State Rooms.

They also frequented the Encore’s Observation Lounge, where they were able to cozy up and spend hours searching for marine life from floor-to-ceiling windows. Activities and entertainment, like go-karting, slides and laser tag, are abundant. For a premium experience, consider booking a stateroom in The Haven. On-board experiences brilliantly align with the destination. For instance, Disney characters are dressed in special outfits for Alaska and are on deck during the days at sea. "We were able to get incredible photos with the glaciers behind the characters," said the mom, who also noted that you can order Mickey Mouse ice cream bars from room service. Cicero added, "Disney has the best kids' and teen clubs of any cruise line. They're enormous, filled with epic activities like superhero training and are a great place for kids and teens to make friends."

If you want an equal dose of Disney and Alaska, this is the cruise for your crew. Sailings range from five to nine nights. All routes head to Stikine Icecap so guests can observe stunning glaciers, cliffs, waterfalls and wildlife.

Royal Caribbean International

Royal Caribbean doesn’t only sail to the Caribbean. This global cruise line whisks passengers to Alaska from popular ports such as Seattle and Vancouver. You can choose a classic seven-night itinerary or a 13-night land-and-sea getaway.

Cruise enthusiasts at the Good Housekeeping Institute are fans of Royal Caribbean for its state-of-the-art ships, exceptional service and high-quality entertainment. "Royal Caribbean had the first rock-climbing wall and ice-skating rink on a cruise ship," said Cicero. "Since then, they've brought so many other epic activities to sea." For instance, Royal Caribbean’s Quantum Class, which includes Quantum of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas, offers skydiving, a surf simulator and a robot bar. "This line is an especially good fit for families with tweens, teens and young adults ," said Cicero, who sailed on Royal Caribbean with her teen daughter.

National Geographic Lindblad Expeditions

For an incredible small-ship experience, look no further than the Lindblad Expeditions–National Geographic team-up. The largest of its ships that sail to Alaska can accommodate no more than 138 passengers — just a sliver of the 4,900 or so that Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas can hold. " Being on a smaller vessel means that you’ll be able to sail right up to less frequented glaciers, waterfalls and fjords, " said Cicero.

Of course, an intimate experience comes at a higher price tag — its eight-day Alaskan adventure starts at about $6,200 per person, though you won't need to pay extra for excursions. "Voyages tend to be themed and stress the educational component," said Cicero. For instance, one focuses on coastal wildlife while another explores native cultures. A Good Housekeeping staff member who sailed the line to the Galápagos Islands (a providence of Ecuador) raved, "The ship was beautiful! I was super impressed with the staff and the service felt above and beyond.”

One of the cruise line’s most popular itineraries is the Seven-Day Inside Passage, which takes you through Glacier Bay National Park, the Inside Passage, Tracy Arm Inlet and several must-visit port towns. But for adventure seekers curious to see as much of Alaska as possible, you’ll find tons of extended itineraries including a robust 28-day voyage that crosses the Arctic Circle.

Holland America is the only cruise line permitted to serve glacier ice, using it for cocktails like the Blue Iceberg and Juneau Gin & Tonic. The line also launched a new Alaskan-themed brunch menu offered once per cruise.

Tips for booking your cruise to Alaska

✔️ Check your itinerary. The itinerary you choose is key on an Alaskan cruise. If you have your heart set on visiting Glacier Bay National Park, make sure that your cruise line has it listed on the schedule. "Only seven lines were awarded the Glacier Bay contract by the National Park Service ," Cicero said. If you're not sure whether the cruise you have in mind will go through Glacier Bay, double-check with the cruise line or your travel agent.

✔️ Book shore excursions well in advance. Alaskan cruises generally sail from April to October. Because of the shorter season, your ship will likely be close to capacity and several ships may overlap in ports. Excursions will book up quickly. To secure your spot, book excursions well in advance or as soon as they're available.

✔️ Focus on family. Alaskan cruises are best for kids who are at least 5 years old. "Keep in mind that cruise lines don't allow kids who aren't potty-trained to be in pools, even if they're wearing a swim diaper," Cicero said. It's also worth noting that most cruise lines don't permit babies under 6 months or pregnant passengers who are 24 or more weeks along. Cicero advises families with school-age children to look for on-ship amenities, such as an indoor heated pool, a supervised kids' club and a variety of family-friendly nighttime entertainment. "Before you sail, you should also find out which non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary," Cicero said. "Many cruise lines charge extra for soft drinks, but milk and juice are usually included." Free room service is another big perk for families, she notes, so see if that's offered on the line you're considering.

✔️ Check your passport. Even if your cruise starts and stops in a U.S. port like Seattle, there's a high chance your ship will dock in Canada at some point throughout your trip. Also, " some of the excursions in Alaskan ports venture into Canada and will require a passport," explained Cicero. For instance, you may take the White Pass & Yukon Route Railway from Skagway into Yukon, a Canadian territory. Your passport will need to be valid for at least 6 months following the cruise.

✔️ Pack layers. This is especially crucial if you're traveling in Alaska's shoulder season — May and September. While May tends to be drier, temperatures remain relatively chilly. Likewise, September marks the end of the summer season and welcomes cooler temperatures and more rainfall. Because you'll be spending a lot of time outdoors, it's important to prepare for all weather scenarios, including windy conditions common to sailing cruise ships.

✔️ Book next summer's cruise soon. To get the best staterooms and excursions, start looking for a 2025 cruise in 2024, Cicero said, noting that many ships start to fill up at least 6 months in advance. And don't forget about major sale days. "Last year, cruise lines had fantastic Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals," she said.

Moscow is a Volga River cruise port, Russia's capital and largest city (population over 12,2 million, metro 17 million). Moscow City covers a total area of approx 2610 km 2 (970 mi2). By population, the city is ranked the world's 14th largest. Moscow is one of the Russian Federation's all 3 federal cities - together with St Petersburg and Sevastopol .

Being Russian Federation's capital, Moscow is a major economic, political, scientific and cultural center, as well as Europe's biggest city.

According to Forbes 2013, Moscow has been ranked as the 9th most expensive city in the world by Mercer and has one of the largest urban economies, being ranked as an alpha global city according to Globalization and World Cities Research Network. It is also one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations in the world according to MasterCard Global Destination Cities Index. Moscow is the northernmost and the coldest megacity and metropolis on the Earth. It's home to Ostankino Tower, the tallest free-standing European structure; the Federation Tower, the tallest European skyscraper; and the Moscow International Business Center. 

Moscow is situated on Moskva River in the Central Federal District of European Russia, which makes it the most populated inland city in the world. Moscow city is well known for architecture, particularly its historic buildings like Saint Basil's Cathedral. With over 40% of its territory covered by greenery, it's one of the greenest capitals and major cities in Europe and the world. Moscow is the seat of power of the Russian Government, being the site of Moscow Kremlin, a medieval city-fortress that is now the residence of the President of Russia. Moscow Kremlin and Red Square are among the several World Heritage Sites in the city. 

Moscow has 2 passenger terminals, North River Terminal (Rechnoy vokzal) and South River Terminal. The regular ship routes and cruises along Moskva and Oka rivers are used mostly for entertainment. North River Terminal (1937-built) is currently the main hub for long-range routes along the river. There are 3 freight ports that serve Moscow.

In late-July 2021 the city announced plans to incorporate a fleet (unspecified number) of fully electric passenger ferries into its public transportation network from summer 2022, the goal being to reduce the dependence on cars.

• The boats are designed with length ~22 m (72 ft), passenger capacity 42, modern amenities (Wi-Fi, USB charging points, tables for working commuters), spaces for storing scooters and bicycles.
• Moscow Transport confirmed that two routes (with max daily capacity ~16,000 passengers) have already been mapped out.
• Passengers will be able to pay via bank cards, the city’s Troika card (smart card for travel by any public transportation) or biometric payment cards. Those with monthly/yearly public transit tickets will use the boats at no extra cost.
• The new electric ferry service is up to 5 times faster (in comparison to other city public transports) and ~2 times faster than by car.

Moscow cruise terminal

Moscow's cruise terminal is called North River Terminal or River Station  ("Rechnoy Vokzal" / "речной вокзал").

The terminal was opened in 1937 and is one of 2 passenger terminals (the other being South River Terminal) of the city's river transport. North River Terminal is the main hub for long-range (including cruise) shipping routes. 

South River Terminal (above photo) was opened in 1985.
