Despite the name, we didn't get a pedal barge and I believe the boats that do have pedals don't actually require you to do so. Since we had such a large group, we had to split up and take two. Luckily, our drivers kept the boats together the entire trip and even drove close enough to pass things back and forth. They have a gravel parking lot and bathrooms available outside. Our boat had a bathroom but you could only pee on there, so make sure you plan accordingly. Prior to boarding, everyone must fill out a waiver, which can be done online before arriving. What really appealed to us was the BYOB. There doesn't seem to be any restrictions as far as I could tell. You could bring beer, wine, liquor...in plastic, glass, metal, etc. They provided an ice chest but you'll have to provide the ice, which can be purchased at the snack shop. The rails along the entire boat had cupholders too! The boat also came with a decently sized speaker and we hooked up our own music for the whole trip. Really fun for a group-outing and although it's a bit of a drive from the main city, it's well worth it! We didn't have any trouble calling an Uber from their parking lot.
We had a huge group with us during our recent NOLA trip and decided we wanted to book a boat for some day drinking. There was some miscommunication as the staff member who originally took our reservation about a month in advance told us that they could accommodate all 30 members of our party on one boat. The company didn't call us until right before our reservation to tell us that this wasn't possible, so we had to scramble last minute to figure out an alternative arrangement. We ended up splitting the group up onto one larger boat and smaller one, but it would have been nice if this was communicated beforehand. Our guides were friendly although one of them kept making slightly creepy comments about the girls in our group. He was on the smaller boat so we ended up just delegating most of the boys to his boat to avoid any more uncomfortable remarks. The two of them did a good job keeping the boats close together though so we could still mingle between groups. The larger boat also had a bathroom (only for #1) which was nice. Because of the alcohol, whenever I go on boats my bladder is usually bursting at the seams by the time we finally dock, so it was nice to not have to deal with that. We even got lucky and saw a gator! One star off for the little hiccups, but overall a great experience.
Captain Ben was the BEST!!! Perfect kick-off to my sister in laws bachelorette weekend :) the cheeky tiki was such a fun experience for the whole group.
Our group had a great time with the pedal barge! It was cloudy and rainy the day we went but the boats were heated and had protective lining around it so we stayed toasty the entire ride. Our captain (Captain Bad Ass haha) was a great leader and had fun with us the whole time. Everything went smooth and we got to see some birds and pretty scenes along the barge. And the bathroom on the boat is a life saver if you're drinking. My only complaint would be that I wished we heard a little more "tour" information while on the boat. But we were singing and partying pretty much the whole time so there may not have been an opportunity for that.
We had an AMAZING experience on our private pontoon boat in the Bayou today!!! I highly recommend this spot for something other than eating in New Orleans!
Alligators!
The porta potty
This was the best experience! We booked a private charter (celebrating my birthday) and when I tell you it was a time! It was definitely a time! Shout out to Captain Daddy and Kelly! These two were amazing! We will definitely be booking this again!
Boat and dock
Very fun!!! Our captain was great and we had a wonderful time, highly recommend! It was awesome to go down the bayou!
The best experience! They let you play your own music - make a playlist before hand! We came for a bach and it was the brides favorite event. She loved the boat ride and said it was so fun dancing and singing with her friends in a private setting and letting loose. They have coolers, so bring all the drinks! We ran out of drinks and wish we had more. But the drinks got cold in the cooler and were perfect for the party. The tour guide was awesome! He was funny and stopped to show us the alligators and my friends loved the nature / swamp tour. They had so many questions about the alligators lol. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and answered all their questions. After the boat ride the girls wanted to see the the blue crabs and he was able to show it to us.
Our group had the best time on the Cajun Queen!!Definitely recommend booking if you have a big group with you and are looking for a great time.
Amazing fun!! We were in town for the Beyonce concert and wanted to do something different. I found NOPB on TikTok and the reviews were good so we tried it out. We booked the 12pm hoping that others would be in attendance that early...We Lyft to the location and there is a bar where you can purchase drinks and snacks. We started with jello shots. The host gives you the rules of the boat and then the party began. You are allowed to play your own music so have a playlist on hand. We did the freaky tiki boat and there wasn't a tour just cruising on the water listening to good music and great vibes. Everyone was vibing and dancing with each other. The Host was awesome, funny, and made you feel comfortable. We did see an alligator on the ride. We had so much fun and would definitely do this again!!!!

Things to do in New Orleans Bachelorette Party
So you’re throwing your bachelorette party in the Big Easy! You’re in good company- New Orleans is one of the US’s most popular bachelorette party destinations! Let the Good Times Roll with the nonstop party on Bourbon Street, the romantic architecture of The Garden District , otherworldly cemeteries , and the legendary French Quarter .
The Streetcar is a great way to get around New Orleans!
Unlike most major cities, New Orleans has walkable neighborhoods and historic transportation options. Here’s how to get around in New Orleans-
Rent a Vehicle Staying in The French Quarter means you won’t need a car. The French Quarter is very walkable . Parking can be a challenge, and spots are limited. Several parking garages exist on the edges of the Quarter, and they get pricey fast.
The Streetcar Fun fact- the St. Charles Streetcar is the world’s oldest streetcar line, operating since 1835. Conveniently, the streetcar also connects some of New Orleans’ most significant areas, like The French Quarter, The Garden District, City Park, and Bayou Saint John.
Note: The streetcar is cash only and requires exact change. Tickets are $1.25 each way or $3 for the day pass or check out the app
Rideshare Uber, Lyft, and all major rideshare companies operate throughout the city.
Limo Services Tracy Nicoll’s Limousine Service has served New Orleans for over two decades and has weekday specials and bachelorette party packages.
Most bachelorette parties stay in either The French Quarter (or in the nearby Central Business district) or The Garden District. Here’s how to choose between the two and where to stay-
The French Quarter We recommend accommodation in The French Quarter if you know you’ll be partying a lot or if it’s your first time in the Crescent City. Staying in the Quarter means you’ll be within walking distance of iconic attractions like Bourbon Street and Jackson Square, plus everything else you need, like spas, shops, and world-famous southern food.
We like these hotels for The French Quarter:
Best budget pick : Previously owned by voodoo priestess Marie Laveau, the Inn on St. Ann is a charming creole townhouse that gives you the best of the FQ for a reasonable price.
Best mid-tier hotel : Stay in the middle of The French Quarter action at Crowne Plaza and enjoy the views from the rooftop pool.
Best luxury stay : Hotel Monteleone is a living literary museum; Ernest Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, William Faulkner, Anne Rice, and John Grisham have all been connected to this hotel (along with a few ghosts). Hotel Monteleone is also home to NOLA’s revolving Carousel Bar.
The Garden District For those bacheloretteing on a budget or wanting a break from the crowds of the Quarter, The Garden District is a perfect choice. This area of the city is known for its towering historic estates, ancient oak trees, and romantic vibes. Mostly residential, serviced by the St. Charles Streetcar, and with its own food options, The Garden District is a great neighborhood to stay in.
We like these hotels for The Garden District: Best budget pick: St. Charles Coach House is a budget boutique hotel conveniently located near the streetcar line for quick access to the city.
Best mid-tier hotel: Classy and trendy, The Pontchartrain is a boutique hotel built in 1927 with a rooftop bar and tasty small plates.
Best luxury stay: Old-world southern luxury collides with modern innovation at the Hotel Saint Vincent, constructed in 1861.
New Orleans has invented four of the world’s most mixed cocktails. Catch all of these with your bach party-
The Hurricane The Sazerac Vieux Carre Gin Fizz
For the bride that doesn’t booze, check out our guide to finding non-alcoholic drinks in New Orleans.
you can try all these cocktails at the Carousal bar
This law (or lack of law) is part of what makes New Orleans such an incredible bachelorette party destination. NOLA’s relaxed open-container law means you can legally consume alcoholic beverages on the streets anywhere in the city!
Wanna save money? get a bottle at The Rouses Market 701 Royal Street and catch live music outside.
From beignets to shrimp Creole New Orleans is most famous for it’s food. Make sure your bachelorette party brings their appetite and hit some of the best restaurants in New Orleans.
Check out our favorite restaurants in the French Quarter
A few shops in the Quarter and The Garden District only take cash as payment. The fortune tellers, artists, and performers set up in Jackson Square are often cash-only, and even the city-run streetcar only accepts cash. Bringing some paper payment to New Orleans is always a good idea.
When planning your bachelorette party, you might not automatically think, ‘let’s hit the graves!’ and we don’t blame you.
However, New Orleans cemeteries aren’t regular cemeteries. Filled with hauntingly beautiful architecture, interwoven with stories of Voodoo and fascinating people, plus above-ground tombs , NOLA’s cemeteries are some of the city’s biggest attractions. A free walking tour is an ideal way to explore them and hear all the juicy details.
Tip: Make sure you brush up on your cemetery etiquette before you visit!
Artists have to get a permit to sell art in Jackson Square or Pirates Alley
Buy art straight from street artists at Jackson Square or from the carefully curated galleries on Royal Street. Local art is the perfect way to bring home a little slice of your epic New Orleans Bachelorette party with you.

‘The Bachelorette’ picks her final 4 in New Orleans. Here’s where they went and ate.
- Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below
The Bachelor Nation had a taste of New Orleans as Columbus, Georgia native Charity Lawson chose her final four in the Big Easy.
With the decision weighing heavily on her mind, the pressure was on for our Bachelorette, but she was still in the mood for NOLA fun.
So, let’s dig in and see Charity’s New Orleans experience.
The Big Easy with Joey
The episode opened with Charity and the men on the streets of New Orleans, but the group chat quickly came to an end when a horse-drawn carriage stopped right in front of the group.
Charity chose Joey for the first one-on-one in New Orleans and the couple rode off in style to explore the French Quarter.
“There’s warmth to this city,” Joey said. “And I’m excited to get to explore it with Charity.”
Naturally, they ran into some jazz music and danced on the street together. For lunch, they visited Muriel’s for some classic creole cuisine, which looked absolutely incredible.
After Charity and Joey delved into delicious food, they toured the area while holding hands. Once they came across someone who made poems on the spot, Charity and Joey decided to go for it. The poet created a romantic and curated poem for Charity and Joey by asking them questions as he typed. When the poet was finished, Charity and Joey read the poem aloud and sparks were flying.
This was such a sweet date idea.
“Today with Joey was so perfect,” Charity told producers before dinner.
During the dinner with Joey, Charity opened up to him about interracial relationships and her fears about the world. Joey’s responses were eloquent and kind, which really impressed me.
I felt that this conversation was so important and genuinely thoughtful. I was honestly wondering when Charity was going to discuss this topic and hoped that it would be aired and given the air time it deserved. I am happy to say that my expectations were exceeded. Charity handled this so well, as did Joey.
Charity got choked up by Joey’s maturity and sensitivity to the topic, as well as her feelings for him (especially after Joey told her he was in love with her).
She ended up pinning a rose on him, making him safe for next week which is hometowns week. So it’s official, she will be meeting Joey’s parents.
Third wheel swamp date
Meanwhile at the hotel, the men got another date card. Tanner and Sean were both listed, which meant the two men who have not had a one-on-one would now get a two-on-one date with Charity.
The two men were not thrilled to say the least. Each understood that one man would leave, while the other would join Charity next week.
Tanner and Sean met Charity in the bayou and took part in a swamp tour. Charity weighed her options during the date. The three seemed to have a fun time, despite the awkward situation.
At the end of the day date, Sean kissed Charity, leaving Tanner standing by himself wishing he had made some kind of move (any move, Tanner, come on!).
Charity and the two men then went to dinner, where she wasted no time in separating the men and chatting with each.
At the end of it all, she ended up choosing neither one. Wait, what?
Charity didn’t hand out a rose to Sean or Tanner because she felt like she couldn’t make the decision right then. This meant her decision would be made at the rose ceremony later.
My thoughts on this: I actually commend Charity for waiting. I really don’t like when there is a two-on-one date because it pits the two contestants against each other and makes the date too high stakes, removing some authenticity from the two parties. I honestly think the two-on-one dates are just a ploy for drama from the producers. So, Charity made the right choice here for sure.
Dotun’s second date
Back at the hotel, a date card arrived with Dotun’s name on it.
All the men seemed shocked, as this was Dotun’s second one-on-one date. Some haven’t had one at all (ahem, Tanner and Sean).
During the date, Charity and Dotun ran in the Crescent City Classic race while dressed in feather boas and funny Mardi Gras skirts. The pair also took a break for beers and a chat with some locals.
At dinner, Dotun opened up to Charity about failures, fears and having high hopes for a fairytale love. He also revealed to Charity that he was falling in love with her.
“I can’t even put into words how you make me feel,” Charity told him as she pinned a rose on his jacket.
This meant Dotun would take part in hometowns week and I am beyond happy for Charity at this point. Joey and Dotun are the most perfect men to go to hometowns week and I think they will do us proud.
Sorry, Sean
At the hotel, the boys received another date card which ended up being a group date card. It listed Sean, Aaron, Tanner and Xavier on the card.
Sean, angry and frustrated that he hasn’t had a one-on-one with Charity or any clarity about her feelings, decided to confront her in her hotel room.
He shared his genuine feelings for her, but she told him she’s “not there yet” and didn’t think she could be.
I feel bad for Sean; I think he really did have feelings for Charity. He was attentive and sweet. Yet, I also feel that he wasn’t being realistic with the process and at times, seemed overly confident.
So, Charity sent him home.
Another awkward group date
Charity took Xavier, Aaron and Tanner on the group date to try and narrow down her men for hometowns.
After having hard conversations with all three, Charity ended up pinning a rose on Aaron.
She decided not to choose between Tanner and Xavier during the date. Instead, she gave herself more time to think.
After chatting with Tanner later on in the night, Charity decided to send him home.
She gave the fourth and final rose to Xavier, despite some reservations she had about a relationship with him.
Next week, Charity will meet the families of the final four men: Joey, Dotun, Aaron and Xavier. Don’t miss the episode next Monday at 8 p.m.
Who do you think Charity will choose? Comment below or email me at [email protected]

Last Updated: Tuesday, November 14, 2023 11:25 AM by Lauren Saizan
It doesn’t take long for visitors to Louisiana to see the state’s motto, “sportsman’s paradise,” emblazoned on vehicular license plates. With the opportunity to fish, boat, and explore the surrounding wetlands, New Orleans is the perfect place to plan your next outdoor adventure. Plan a group experience to remember with the excursions below, suitable for corporate team building, groups of friends or family, and more.
Charter Fishing
New Orleans offers some of the best seafood in the world, so why not make an adventure out of it? Local guides offer inshore fishing charters for the likes of flounder, redfish, and speckled trout, as well as bigger game fish including marlin and red snapper for a storied offshore experience. Find our page on fishing charters here to start planning an unforgettable group experience.
Louisiana Catch and Cook
For a uniquely New Orleans group experience, consider getting out on the water for the catch of the day. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries’ Catch and Cook program allows for a day full of fishing followed by a meal prepared by a New Orleans chef. See participating restaurants and more information here .
Swamp Tours
A popular attraction for many visitors to New Orleans, swamp tours are the perfect group activity. With so many ways to explore Louisiana’s vast array of swamps and bayous, there’s a perfect fit for any type of traveler. Whether you’re seeking an experience by boat, foot, or kayak, you can’t go wrong with a Louisiana swamp tour.
Zip NOLA is a one-of-a-kind ziplining expedition over the Louisiana swamp. Cruising past alligators will give you the ultimate thrill.
NOLA Motorsports Park

The 700-acre facility is largely outdoors and hosts many track events throughout the year. Group packages are available for booking.
The outdoor ropes course in New Orleans City Park known as LOOP NOLA is the perfect team-building experience. From overcoming fears to working through challenges as a team, your group will leave with an experience to remember. Booking your group at LOOP NOLA is also a way to give back to the community, funding opportunities for public school youth to experience life-changing outdoor adventures.
