Our tour representative will liaise with you at Kochi Airport and escort you to your transportation to Munnar.  Pause a while on your journey to savour  Neriamangalam Bridge which spans the Periyar River, known as ‘The Gateway to the Highranges’ which is where the hill station of Munnar is situated.  Built in 1935 by the Maharaja of Travancore, the views are spectacular and a delicious taste of what lies ahead, rolling green hills stretching away to misty mountain tops, and lush valleys intersected with waterfalls and peaceful lakes.

Thekkady to Kumarakom (Houseboat)

Kumarakom (Houseboat) to Kovalam

After breakfast on board, your next delight is to journey to the coast at Kovalam, a place made famous during the 1960s due to its popularity with hippies! There are three distinct beaches formed by jutting rocky outcrops and a prominent Lighthouse after which one of the beaches is named.  Watch the sun set over the ocean and enjoy a long walk across the white sands before retiring to your resort hotel with a glorious ocean view from your window.

Kovalam to Kanyakumari

From Kovalam, your tour takes you on to Kanyakumari, famous for the confluence of three oceans-the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean.  The point at which the oceans merge is called the Triveni Sangam and is considered by the Indians to be a sacred place where washing in the waters will cleanse the bathers of sin.  Triveni Sangam is a powerful and significant location and is said to bear witness to the finest sunrises and sunsets in the whole of India.  Bathed in light, the vast Thiruvalluvar statue, a memorial to the famous Tamil philosopher and poet, is a remarkable sight and a ferry service can take you to the rock to view it. 

Kovalam to Trivandrum

Trivandrum is also known by its previous name of Thiruvananthapuram and is the designated capital of Kerala state.  Visit the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the holiest place in the city but be aware that respect must be shown by wearing either Dhoti for the men or Sarees or Churidar for ladies.  Another popular visitor attraction is the Kuthiramalika Palace Museum which literally means, ‘Palace of Horses’ named after the frieze of 122 wooden horses on the outside of the building.  Veli Tourist Village is a great destination for families with young children with a waterfront park bristling with aqua entertainment for all ages.

Day 01: Arrival Cochin – Munnar

On Arrival Cochin Airport will meet and drive to Munnar (an idyllic tourised destination in Kerala) enjoying the stunning panoramic view of the green Carpets of tea plantation en-route. Its unending expanse of tea plantations, pristine valleys & Mountains, the aroma of spice scented cool air, exotic species of flora & fauna in its wildlife sanctuaries & forests. Day 03: Munnar – Thekkady

After an early breakfast, check out from the Munnar hotel & proceed to Thekkady which is also famously called Periyar. En- route visit the Spice Garden for a short journey into the spice life of Kerala & thereafter go on adventure ride with Elephant Safari. Checks in at Hotel/Resort & after fresh up go on an evening game viewing cruise on the Periyar Lake at Periyar Tiger Reserve. Other attraction includes Jungle Boarder Jeep Safari, Kathakali Show, Martial Arts Show, Ayurvedic Message & last but not the least Local Shopping. Rest of the day at leisure Stay At Thekkady

Day 04: Thekkady – Alleppey

After Breakfast drive down to Alleppey- With large network of inland canals earning it the sobriquet “Venice of the East”. Famous for its Backwaters & Houseboat which you can’t find anywhere else in the world. A glide in a Houseboat through the enchanting backwater is sure to rob your Mind & Heart. Day 05: Alleppey – Kovalam

After Breakfast drive down to Kovalam. Kovalam beach is known as the “Paradise of the South”. This dreamland is an evergreen, serene, pleasant climatic and enticing beach destination. Reach &check-in at the hotel and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Kovalam is the place where one can see the golden sand at the day time &silver sand in the night. Day 06: Kovalam (with Trivandrum)

After Breakfast drive visit the sightseeing of Trivandrum. The Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple is the most religious icon of the city. Day 01: Arrival in Kochi Munnar Holidays representative will greet and transfer you at Kochi Airport. Then he transfers you to your pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Also termed as Queen of Arabian Sea, Kochi is a one of the most important tourist places in Kerala, God’s Own Country. You will see interesting tourist attractions like Mattancherry Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jews Street, St Francis Church, Chinese Fishing Nets, etc. Overnight will be at Cochin.

Day 02: Kochi – Munnar (150Kms 05Hrs Drive) Morning drive to Munnar – a gorgeous hill station in Kerala, God’s Own Country. Enjoy extraordinary scenery & bountiful nature beauty created by striking streams, small waterfalls, rubber plantation, spice plantations (pepper, cardamom, tea, coffee, etc) and thick jungle of Kerala all through the journey to Munnar. On arrival at Munnar, check-in at your hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure time. Overnight stay will be at Munnar

Day 03: Munnar Day Tour Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing in Munnar which includes visit to the flower garden and for an elephant safari, before driving on to the scenic Mattupetty dam, Eco- point and Kundala dam areas. At Kundala dam there is an opportunity to enjoy boating on the lake. Finally we drive through a vegetable growing area to Top station which is situated high in the mountains on the border between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 04: Munnar – Periyar (Thekkady) (120Kms 04Hrs Drive) After cheerful breakfast at the hotel drive to Periyar (Thekkady). Enroute visit to Anayirangal Dam See the copious nature beauty, appealing mountain streams, spice plantations etc. on the way. On arrival at Periyar, check-in at your hotel. Freshen up and relax. Have boat cruise over the Periyar Lake and explore Periyar wildlife sanctuary. See diverse species of birds and animals making an amazing move while monkeys show their tricks to grab your attention. Overnight will be at Thekkady.

Day 05: Alleppey Houseboat Cruise Spend morning at leisure at hotel and have your breakfast. Check-in to houseboat. Cruise through pictorial Vembanad Lake (largest fresh water lake in Asia, Evening snacks, tea and dinner will be onboard the houseboat. Overnight will be at House Boat.

Day 06: Alleppey – Kovalam (190Kms 05Hrs Drive) After breakfast drive to Kovalam.On arrival check in to the Resort. After Lunch proceed for sightseeing of Trivandrum [The Capital of Kerala]. Here you can see the 260 year old Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple, Puthan Maliga Palace Museum [200 year old Palace of the Travancore Maharaja’s], Napier Museum and Sri Chitra Art Gallery. Evening free to relax at the Beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

Day 07: Kovalam to Kanyakumari After early breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kanyakumari (100km–3hours) drive, Proceed for local sightseeing tour in the afternoon. Kanyakumari is located at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent and represents the site where the spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda spent days in meditation upon a rock off of the coast. Padmanbhapuram Palace, Suchithram Temple, Vivekananda Memorial, Gandhidham and Trivenisagam are some of the sightseeing attractions in Kanyakumari. Overnight at Kanyakumari.

Day 08: Kovalam – Trivandrum Departure Take your breakfast and then Munnar Holidays representative will transfer you to Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station in time to board flight for your next destination

Here's a Feedback on our Experience with Veena World: We went for an 8 days trip to wonders of Kerala(*****) with a group of 28 and 2 tour managers Mr.Rahul Patil and Sanchit Ghare. The entire trip was pleasent & delightful. Hotel stay, food, snacks, tea and coffee - everything was very nice. Our tour Managers - Rahul and Sanchit were always smiling and caring. , they personally take care of each person, they tackled every situation wisely,we r saying that ,because when an unexpected demonstration in that local area,called for "Band for one day,"both of them showed us tourist places that remained on that day ,the next day by adjusting time .In the tour both of them took many pictures of every one on their demand. Transport arrangment was very good, comfortable.The whole group enjoyed the tour. We had never traveled with Veena World, so we have such a positive, good first experience making us to look forward for taking more trips with them. We will be traveling with Veena World soon in the month of march at Delhi Agra. with regards, Vijayprada Borkar & Ramesh Borkar . Travelled in Feb, 2024

• As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
• Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
• It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.
• A smart cap/hat and sunglasses are definitely something that you should have in your kit.
• Though Veena World provides all three meals, that is breakfast, lunch, dinner and Veena World treats as per the itinerary, you can carry dry snacks of your choice in small sealed packets for munching during air travel or road journeys.
• If you are travelling during the monsoon or to destinations where it is rainy, please carry a small umbrella or poncho.
• For international tours, please carry a universal adapter for charging your cameras and mobile phones.
• Ensure that your clothing and footwear is suitable for the destination you are travelling to.
