Bad company will not refund my monthly payment I paid. They're misleading in saying they give you marketing when they don't. I will file a complaint to the BBB and let people know on facebook. I would not go with this company as agent or a travel customer. They mislead on what an agent gets when they sign up and then don't want to refund the monthly payment.

I joined Archer knowing it was an MLM but being assured that I didn't have to participate in the team building and that the training was very good. Needless to say, I was lied to. They didn't bug me about team building, but the training is awful. The "travel agent certification" took me about an hour, I heard nothing about duty of care until I found it on my own months later, when I had issues logging into suppliers or needed guidance, the answer was usually some sort of go read the directions. Early on I had an issue with returning rental cars to a different destination on VAX. When I asked how to do this, I got no guidance. Turned out to be a simple fix of choosing the rental company before choosing the return location. After the ridiculous "certification", I was told to just start registering with suppliers. No guidance on where to start or which would be the most useful. Find a niche was the only response when I asked. How do you do that when you know next to nothing about the industry? How do I find that niche? Silence. There are lots of webinars from suppliers and destination tourist boards, but nothing about ethics, business development, how to market was essentially ‘post on Facebook’. The problem is that Evolution puts team building before actual travel, so even if you are on a team that does want to book, they aren’t given the resources or support. No one, from my mentor (who was also my good friend) to my up-line, ever checked to see how I was managing, what I needed, or how I was progressing. I did most of my training from other sources on my own. Archer didn’t allow us to use most of the tools in Travel Leaders, which is unfortunate because that was the best tool I received. TLN’s training helped me a lot. Recently, my mentor passed away with clients still needing help. I stepped up to help finish the trips after being asked. Unfortunately, other personal circumstances meant that I also needed to change hosts. Instead of allowing me to administer the trips and keeping the bookings at Archer, they got very nasty with me. Archer did nothing to help all but one of the clients. No one contacted the clients even after one client contacted them about how to proceed. After joining my new host, I was shocked at how much more support I got. The Facebook group is so much more active with suggestions on suppliers, destinations, hotels, info from fam trips, and much more. Archer does not support its agents past the monthly fee and they won’t support clients when something goes wrong. I made a mistake in believing the lies from Archer agents so you don’t have to. Don’t waste your money, time, or integrity with Archer.

AH-Maz-Ing! The freedom this company has provided is phenomenal! I worked in corporate America for almost 30 years and lost my 25-year career due to COVID - they closed our local office and eliminated my position.

The atmosphere, support, perks, training, and friendships I've found here are like nothing I've ever experienced. Everyone wants everyone to succeed and it really shows considering most of the training is done by volunteers - they're not getting paid extra for sharing their knowledge with us! I earn 80% of all paid-out commissions, I've earned my IATAN card, I've earned free cruises, and discounted hotel rates, I've even joined the OPTIONAL mentorship program (the "hybrid" MLM model) and earn residual income every month by sharing this opportunity with others.

The best part? I get to stay home and work at my own pace, and I don't have to put my kid on a bus every morning so that I can drive to an office and work 8 hours and ask for permission to use my earned vacation time.

The other great thing about this - you can come in and try it out risk-free - they actually offer a 10-day money-back guarantee. Come in, get your certification, and try out some of the training, if within the first 10 days - you don't feel the opportunity is right for you, cancel and get your full refund.

The review offered here by Host Agency Reviews, is actually pretty inaccurate of what Archer Travel offers its agents. First, this is not an MLM and in no way are you required to mentor or recruit agents. Second, there are way more than 2-3 trainings offered a week. There are at least 5-6 a day which include everything from marketing your business, supplier trainings, sales trainings, and more. They will also sign on agents with little to no experience. The thing that most people do not understand, is this is a business opportunity and not a job. If you do not put work into finding your clients, you will not find them. Archer fully provides training to help you learn how to do this. Yes, there is an opportunity to mentor other agents and earn residual from that. However, it’s not an easy process and if those are are not booking and making commission, you don’t make anything from them either. Archer’s commission payout is 80% to the agent. 10% goes to Archer and 10% the to mentor. You can only make money off your direct downline, which separates this from an MLM.

Hi Adrienne,

Thanks so much for your review of your experience at Archer. Just to clarify, we don't review any of the host agencies, but for companies structured like Archer (an MLM-host hybrid), we do make sure that people entering into the agreement with those companies understand that there is an MLM component to the company. If someone thinks that model is a good model for them, then they are more than welcome to choose it, we just want to make sure they have their eyes open on how the MLM model works.

We consider any time that you make money off a downline, get residuals, etc., that that company is an MLM, even if you aren't required to recruit advisors.

I joined Archer Travel after COVID forced the closer of my 23 year old Permit Expediting company. When I heard about the option to work in travel I got pretty excited. My wife and I have traveled all over the world and the thought of doing it and making money was intrigued. So I started looking at all the different agencies listed on the website. I spent a lot of time reading reviews, talking with other agents and comparing the pros and cons of each company. There really was no question of which one to choose. Archer Travel pays the highest commissions in the industry, they are considered a favorite of all the major travel vendors in the Industry. There was no cost to become certified, no cost for training and I could get my CLIA card as soon as I become certified. They also allowed me to get my IATAN Card after only making $5000 in commission. No other agency can make these claims. Do you know how easy it is to make $5000 in commission when you are getting 80% of the paid commissions? I did it my first month. Their support is unlike anything I have experienced. As far as your claim goes, they are no where close to being an MLM, the first two words of an MLM are Multi Level. Where do you see that in this company? We get paid to mentor others and that comes from a profit pool much like the airline industry but, we get paid monthly instead of annually. I have owned 2 very successful companies in my lifetime and if I knew then what I know now, I would have done this a long time ago.

Just a note from HAR here. Appreciate you sharing your experience but wanted to clarify a few things. The $5000 in commission rule is set at the IATAN/CLIA level so every agency should be having that threshold for their advisors.

In terms of the MLM question. We classify Archer as an MLM hybrid, which means they have a host agency division and an MLM division. Archer Travel's MLM branch is Evolution Travel. They're very transparent about their partnership. You can find more information on Archer's website: https://www.archertravel.com/evolution.

3 years ago, I started as a travel agent affiliated with Archer Travel, and through all this time I have been able to gain a lot of experience, it works for me because I was an absent mother working in the office and with my home based business, I can be a present mother, Thanks to the business model that Archer gives us, it has been able to change my life in many ways! I'm really thankful that Archer is my host agency!

I have only been working with Archer for 4 months and it has been full of learning, support and achievements. I started without any experience as a travel agent and since the first day I had all the support and guidance. I have managed to sell without doubting my ability and now more than ever I am sure that I have made the best decision by working with Archer.

Archer has been an opportunity to turn one of my passions into a source of income, I love the team and the way they incorporate you into the dynamic of learning and developing skills. The training is constant and I must say that the information is always being updated. The main concern is that you have tools to sell and meet the expectations of clients and the work team.

I have been working with Archer since last year. We have support from all the agents in addition to being certified with many suppliers. Besides that I have learned a lot from various destinations. Due to its seriousness I have managed to position my travel agency. I am very proud to belong to this host company

Irina has accompanied me in my tour in Moscow. She was an amazingly good professional: well informed, showed the best locations, was flexible and sensible to your requests. She explained and shows us everything we wanted. Our experience in visiting Moscow was very enriched.
Wir hatten ein paar wunderbare Tage hier in Moskau mit einem Service , der seinesgleichen sucht. Betreuung und Kenntnisse einfach super. Ich kann es jedem Besucher aus Deutschland sehr empfehlen.
We had a top time, can highly recommend. Nice and personal
It was awesome to have Elena as our Moscow guide. Her knowledge of Russian history, particularly in the Kremlin, the Cathedral Square and at the Tetryakov Gallery were impressive! Highly recommended!
Great to get to know Irina, wonderful person, showed us Moscow as it is. Takes job very seriously and is most helpful in planning a wonderful Moscow experience. Will most certainly use your service next time my friend. Was also very helpful in giving us a wonderful Saint Petersburg experience. Very professional - Highly recommended
Irina took much time and personal interest in planning a wonderfully detailed, fully organised and most relaxing and enjoyable vacation for us. She created a unique itinerary for me and my friends, based on specific desires I had of Moscow. She created wonderful tours. It was an enormously rewarding experience, I was able to soak in the wonder of Russian heritage in a very personal manner. Having had the opportunity to talk a lot about Russian tradition, history and way of life was another example of her dedication to her work, which she clearly takes very seriously and aims to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction, I have no hesitation in recommending this agency and the service that this agent provides! I'm happy to say that I believe I have gained another wonderful friend in this agent and would like to thank her for the perfect russian experience!
By this review I would like to confirm the excellent, outstanding service of the agency, particular from the tour guide -Irina Chulkova. I am contacting to Irina for more than two years on regular basis in order to organize transfers and tours in Moscow and occasionally in St. Petersburg for my colleagues from US, California who traveled to Russia. All of the feedbacks on the Irina tours and arrangements were SUPER, with many thanks to her as very knowledgeable and highly professional tour guide. I would recommend Irina as very reliable and experienced tour guide to everybody who wants to get informative and very well organize tours in Moscow.
The services of this agency are very good. I used and I spent wonderful time in Saint Petersburg
As the owner of a tour agency who has lots of work in Moscow I can guarantee that Irina is one of the best to serve you in Moscow for leisure and business tours. I congragulate her for the new website and wish success. erdal
Ira knows her way around Moscow and the Moscow region as well as anyone could. She is as familiar with the out-of-the-way spots tourists usually miss as she is with the most popular sites. You can feel secure letting her set up and conduct your tour in Moscow.

San Francisco Book Review

Moscow Venture

archer travel agent program review

The year is 1991. John Baran is shocked at the sudden and enigmatic death of his friend and coworker David Chernov. A CIA agent attempts to recruit John; though John refuses the offer he gains some vital information. For starters, David was a CIA collaborator while working at their place of employment, Cellcomm, an international cellular communications services firm. Lastly, there are Soviet hardliners who want to re-ignite the Cold War. It was David’s snooping around in the hardliners’ plans that led to his demise. John, determined more than ever to find out the details behind David’s death, convinces his boss to let him complete David’s assignment at the Sovcell facilities in Moscow. Although he feels equipped with his Special Operations background and fluency in Russian, John has no idea that he is about to walk into a tangled political web.

Celer offers a blast from the past with an added twist in this debut. Celer will have seasoned American readers (those around prior to 1991 and old enough to remember) reminiscing about old James Bond movies like From Russia With Love or The Spy That Came in From the Cold , and TV series such as The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Avengers as they dive into his Iron Curtain spy plot. Those caught up in the literature of that era may have turned to Ian Fleming’s books–the creator of the original James Bond–or Frederick Forsyth’s inimitable spy collections, such as The Fourth Protocol or The Devil’s Alternative . While these old-time TV and story plots were consistently filled with espionage and tense scenes sprinkled with a bit of romance, they offered a form of entertainment–the perfect escape, if you will–during a time of strained political relations that lasted more than forty years (1947-1991). Celer’s plot has all those old nuances but with an added element–the inception of cellular communication.

Celer’s storyline is well thought out according to historical timelines: the events moving toward the direction of the Soviet Union’s collapse coincide with the rise in international cellular technology. This concept of cellular technology is something Cold War writers couldn’t effectively incorporate into their plots, even with the occasional token secret agent devices. Breathing life into the archaic, Celer certainly will get the attention of a wide audience, including both seasoned spy aficionados as well as newer enthusiasts looking for a change of pace.

Reviewed by Chris Fischer for Readers' Favorite

In an exciting and highly engaging new read by author A.K. Celer, Moscow Venture is a true thriller that will keep readers on the edge of their seats and obsessively turning the pages from the start all the way through until the very end. Follow the story of John Baran, a man determined to find out the truth behind the death of his best friend. John is convinced he didn't die from a stroke caused by natural causes, but from something much more nefarious. He heads to Moscow to find answers, and gets much more than he bargained for, including espionage, a bio-terror plot, and the middle of hard-line communists' attempt to reverse history, plus the opportunity to save countless American lives and help derail a second Bolshevik revolution. But he'll only be able to do that if he can stay alive. Will he? You'll need to read the book to find out! I very much enjoyed Moscow Venture. Author A.K. Celer has done an amazing job in creating a real roller coaster of a read, as well as in creating characters that his readers will relate to, connect with, and truly come to care about. If those aren't hallmarks of a great author, I'm not sure what are. Any reader that loves spy thrillers with realistic drama and action adventure should absolutely read this book. I am so pleased to be able to highly recommend Moscow Venture and look forward to reading more from author A.K. Celer as soon as I possibly can!
