It's a dream come true for S Club 7 fans — they're reuniting for a tour!

S Club 7

One of the hottest bands of the early 2000s is reuniting to prove that "there ain’t no party like an S Club party."

S Club 7, a British pop band that rose to fame with hits like “Bring It All Back,” “Never Had a Dream Come True” and “S Club Party,” just announced that they're hitting the road next fall for a much-anticipated reunion tour.

Twenty-five years after the band first formed, they stopped by the BBC's "The One Show" on Feb. 13 to share the exciting news.

"We are very excited to say that we are going back out on tour in October," band member Rachel Stevens said. "We’re just so excited to get back out there and sing our hearts out and perform. We're celebrating 25 years, which is just crazy."

When asked what fans can expect from the tour, band member Bradley McIntosh teased a few details.

"Obviously, we’re bringing the nostalgia. Obviously we're bringing the late '90s, early (2000s), so it's a lot of fun. It's very positive, our music, very positive," he said. "And I think in today's times you need a bit of positive, you need a bit of picking up so that's what we're here to do."

The news is likely a dream come true for S Club 7 fans, but there's one caveat: the tour only has European dates. The band will perform 11 shows across the continent, stopping in cities like Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow, London and Birmingham.

Fans can sign up for the presale on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. GMT and tickets open up to the general public on Friday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. GMT.

In addition to Stevens and McIntosh, the other five members of S Club 7 — Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Jo O’Meara and Hannah Spearritt — are also on board for the reunion.

Fans of the band are naturally psyched for the news and flooded the comments section of the Instagram announcement.

"My 10 year old self is SCREAMING!!!!!" one wrote. Another commented, "Omg!!! My heart!!!! I listen to y’all every day in NYC ♥️♥️♥️ I gotta get out there!!"

Still, they were a bit disappointed to hear that the band doesn't have any North American dates on their tour.

"U.S. American fans crying ourselves to sleep tonight," one said. Another chimed in, writing, "I hope y’all come to America! I got so excited when the news was announced."

S Club 7 initially teased the announcement over the weekend with their very first Instagram post, and many fans were hopeful that they were going back on tour or releasing new music.

"I’m screaming. I’ve been waiting 20 years for this. S Club is about to take over the world of Pop," one wrote.

Per the BBC , this tour marks the first time the band will hit the road together since 2015.

As avid fans will recall, S Club 7 had their own BBC TV series ("Miami 7") and several hit albums. The band went their separate ways in 2003, according to the BBC , but reunited for a charity performance in 2014. In 2015, they released new music and went on tour once again.

S Club 7 reunion: Band announce 25th anniversary tour - 'We hope everyone can join us for one big party'

Rachel stevens, bradley mcintosh, hannah spearritt, jo o'meara, jon lee, paul cattermole and tina barrett are back together as s club 7 - announcing some special shows to mark 25 years since the band was formed..

Tuesday 14 February 2023 10:15, UK

S Club 7 have announced a reunion tour - because of course, there ain't no party like an S Club party.

The seven-piece pop group, who had hits including Reach, Don't Stop Movin' and Bring It All Back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, are getting back together to celebrate the band's 25th anniversary.

All the original members - Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole and Tina Barrett - will perform in a reunion tour of the UK and Ireland in October.

"It feels amazing to announce that we're reuniting and performing together again," the band said in a statement. "We're so excited to bring the S Club party back to our fans across the country to celebrate 25 years of S Club 7.

"We can't even believe it's been so long. Music and friendship have always been at the core of everything that we've ever done.

"We hope everyone can join us for one big party."

Originally created by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller, the band rose to fame in their own TV series, Miami 7, and released the show's theme tune, Bring It All Back, as their debut single. They were together from 1998 until 2003, when they disbanded, but briefly reunited in 2014 to perform a medley of hits for the BBC Children In Need appeal.

During their five years together they produced four studio albums and topped the charts with singles including Never Had A Dream Come True and Have You Ever.

What have the band members been up to?

After the band's break-up, the stars went their separate ways, with Stevens launching a solo music career and competing on Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing On Ice.

Spearritt pursued a TV acting career, with roles in shows such as ITV's Primeval, while Lee went on to perform in West End shows including Les Miserables and Jersey Boys.

McIntosh, O'Meara and Cattermole later became members of the spin-off group S Club Allstars, previously S Club 3, with Barrett joining them in 2014.

O'Meara also released solo music and appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007.

Struggles following S Club split

Some of the band members have spoken out publicly about the difficulties they faced after leaving the band, with Cattermole selling the Brit award he won for £66,000 in 2018, after stating he had "bills to pay".

Last month Spearritt revealed she was homeless over Christmas and said she had spent the past six months living in multiple temporary homes with her family.

S Club 7 will open their 11-date reunion tour on in Liverpool on 13 October before continuing to cities including Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester.

The O2 Arena in London will be the last stop on the tour, on 28 October.

Everything to Know About the S Club 7 Reunion (From Someone Who Wasn’t Born Yet When They Debuted)

Long before BTS and One Direction, one of the biggest pop bands in the world was a 7-piece group from the UK whose sole purpose was to get the party started. S Club 7 formed in 1998 and went on to achieve huge success, in part due to a hit TV show, quintessential Y2K outfits , and catchy pop anthems, which have gone on to become karaoke staples to this day.

Formed by Simon Fuller, the man behind The Spice Girls , S Club 7 were together for nearly 15 years before calling it quits, spawning four studio albums and a string of hits in that time. Now, Tina, Paul, Hannah, Jon, Rachel, Bradley and Jo are “bringing it all back” with a much-hyped comeback for 2023.

Some members of the Rolling Stone staff were incredibly excited by the news, though others weren’t as aware of S Club 7’s impact since they weren’t around when the group first made waves.

TIM CHAN : S Club 7 announced a comeback tour this week! I’m so excited!

TOMAS MIER : I have no idea who that is.

TC: What? They were like a huge pop group that had a mix of guys and girls in it, so they stood out compared to all the boy bands and girl groups from that era.

TM : So they’re like Now United ?

TC : Actually that’s a great comparison since both groups were started by Simon Fuller, the man who also managed The Spice Girls. I guess Now United was his way of trying to replicate S Club 7’s success.

TM : How do you know S Club 7?

TC : I grew up listening to them. They debuted in 1998 and were all over the radio.

TM : I wasn’t even born yet.

S Club 7 have added extra dates to their upcoming reunion tour in celebration of their 25-year legacy.

All seven members of the popular band - Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt , Jo O'Meara , Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens , and Tina Barrett - announced last week that they would be performing a series of UK arena shows.

The pop group has added three concerts, taking place in at Manchester's AO Arena on October 12 this year, a matinee gig at London's O2 Arena on October 28, and one at Birmingham 's Utilita Arena on October 29, with tickets going on sale on Friday 24 February.

Speaking on coming back together, the band said: 'It's so good to be back!! We have all been so overwhelmed by the response following the tour announcement.

'Thanks again for all the lovely messages and support, it means the world to us.

'It's such fun seeing ourselves back on TV, on the radio and on the front pages of newspapers and being added to playlists…

'We can't wait to see you all in October.'

The band, who released four albums between 1999 and 2002 and went on to sell more than 10 million copies worldwide, are set to perform their hits including their four UK number one singles Bring It All Back, Never Had a Dream Come True, Don't Stop Movin', Have You Ever.

It comes after S Club fans were left fuming after only one member of the band turned up to sing at a sold-out gig.

Tina and Bradley had been booked to perform at a 150-capacity bar, with tickets selling out in 90 seconds for £23 a piece.

However, on the night Tina was absent, leaving Bradley to perform on his own and angering fans.

They took to the venue's Facebook page to complain, with one writing: 'What a let down.

'Turned up to find out they can't perform as S Club as they've signed a contract and no Tina. Happy to take everyone's money though.'

Another person tweeted: 'What a disappointing night. I felt so bad for Bradley.'

A third person echoed: 'Absolutely raging!! Paid good money to see two members of S Club 7 and only one showed up. We weren't notified about this either.'

The bar, Wyld, responded to the controversy, explaining that it was down to contract obligations after the band announced their reunion.

Owner Josh Peverley told the Isle of Wight County Press : 'Sadly, this situation was out of our hands, and when we booked the show earlier this year there was no speculation or confirmation of an S Club 7 reunion, for which contractual obligations meant they weren't able to appear for the show we had booked and sold tickets to. '

It comes after S Club 7 recently announced they are reuniting for a special 25th anniversary tour.

The band said in a statement: 'After eight years it feels amazing to announce that we're reuniting and performing together again.

'We're so excited to bring the S Club Party back to our fans across the country to celebrate 25 years of S Club 7. We can't even believe it's been so long!

'Music and friendship have always been at the core of everything that we've ever done. We hope everyone can join us for one big party!'

After the announcement was made, the group went on BBC's The One Show for their first interview.

Rachel said: 'We are so excited to get back out there and sing our hearts out.'

When asked about the possibility of new music, Bradley said: 'If you know you know. We're bringing the nostalgia, in today's time we need a bit of positive.'

Jon said: 'I don't think we have changed that much. We all said yes immediately and we set up a WhatsApp group called S Clubbers.'

Rachel added: 'It feels like the right time to spread some positivity.'

Paul continued: 'We would like our fans to let us know what sort of songs they want to hear.'

Jo has had many operations on her back in recent years, but said she was determined to join the other six on tour.

She said: 'I'm ready, I'm doing physio, I'm just starting to get my back strong. But I will be there on that stage 100 per cent.'

Speaking on their longstanding popularity, Hannah added: 'Its incredible that Generation Z are picking up on TikTok, but I will just add that everyone is saying reach up for the stars.'

Talking on their fashion choices, Rachel explained: 'The nineties were special for fashion and there's little bits we'll take from that.'

They said they were most excited to sing Reach and felt less pressure to perform than in the past.

Speaking to The Sun the group said they wanted to do Glastonbury, with Jo saying: 'We've been very lucky. But we need Glastonbury next. I'm going to manifest it. We need to do it. Can you imagine the whole of the Glastonbury crowd singing Reach? It would be pretty amazing.'

The band said that they would have rejoined even sooner had it not been for the fact that they couldn't find Jon.

He said: 'That's why it's taken so long to do this, they couldn't find me. I was in India for three and a half years. I went travelling and then I found some dogs over there which I adopted and brought home.'

The members have now grown up and had children of their own, with Hannah pointing out: 'I realised today that between us we have seven kids. Isn't that spooky? And it's the same ratio of three boys and four girls.'

Tickets for S Club 7 Reunited extra dates go on sale at 10:00am GMT on Friday 24 via www.gigsandtours.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk , with all other dates on sale now. Tickets for Ireland will be available via www.ticketmaster.ie.

The beloved British pop group S Club performed their final US show on Tuesday at The Orpheum theater in Los Angeles, wrapping up their 25th Anniversary tour -- The Good Times Tour -- to a sold-out crowd.

Band members Jon Lee, Tina Barrett, Jo O'Meara, Bradley McIntosh and Rachel Stevens spoke with ET's Denny Directo ahead of Tuesday's show, and reflected on their anniversary tour -- as well as the loss of their bandmate, Paul Cattermole , who died of heart failure in April 2023 at age 46.

"It's been nostalgic going back, especially to L.A. actually, because obviously we filmed all our TV shows here and spent so much time here," Stevens shared. "So it's felt so familiar. But yeah, being back here and performing in the States has been such an amazing experience."

The band -- formerly known as S Club 7 -- first announced their anniversary tour last year, but revealed they'd changed the name of the tour after Cattermole's death.

They'd been planning to tour for some time, and McIntosh explained, "Paul was so so excited to do the tour and I think he would be really really angry with us if would have stopped it. I really do."

"He would have loved it so much," Lee added.

"But I know it was never a question to not do it. I think it just turned into something different," Stevens shared. "Like, we renamed the tour The Good Times Tour in tribute to him, 'cause that was [what] he was going to, acoustically, in the show. And it just became a real beautiful tribute and celebration for him, and for the fans too."

According to Barrett, the group has "kept in touch with his family, and they came to one of the shows. They just really thought it was beautifully done, and respectful."

"I think Paul would want to be remembered as just being crazy and goofy and fun, you know?" O'Meara chimed in. "Because he was just such a bundle of energy. And I think we've all realized that you notice it, more than ever, that energy is missing."

McIntosh revealed that the group "got a tattoo the other day on Venice beach" which read "Good Times" in honor of Cattermole. The performer explained that the design included "a little heart for Paul."

The bandmates carried on after losing Cattermole, however, and performed a number of shows, bringing their celebrated energy and good vibes to fans across the globe -- albeit without former band member Hannah Spearritt.

"I think that the main thing is just the positivity of the songs and the music. And I think people just seem to love that whole positive thing that we put out," O'Meara said of the group's fanbase. "Because, you know, there's so much negativity in the world. So I think it's just a nice way for people just to escape back to, you know, more innocent times maybe."

Melbourne Storm to launch 14th straight finals campaign at AAMI Park

Forget Sydney and Geelong – the best footy finals team of the 21st century launches its 14th-straight flag campaign with a home final in Melbourne on Saturday. Here’s why you shouldn’t miss it.

Storm’s record-breaking 14th consecutive finals series starts on Saturday, when the all-conquering club hosts the Cronulla Sharks in a qualifying final at AAMI Park.

And with no AFL finals being played in Melbourne this weekend, captain Harry Grant is hoping to see the stands packed with purple in time for the 4.05pm kick off.

“It’s going to be a massive game for us,” Grant said. “It’s finals footy, any team you go up against at this time of year is dangerous. You’ve got to be on your game.

“Hopefully we can get as much purple as we can (at AAMI Park).”

Olivia, 12, and Aidan, 9, will be there with their Storm-fanatic families.

Storm stars Ryan Papenhuyzen and Jahrome Hughes meet fans Olivia, 12, Isabella, 11, and Aidan, 9, at open training ahead of the club’s qualifying final in Melbourne. Picture: Mark Stewart

“I’ve been supporting Storm since I was three,” Olivia said. “I’m very excited about Sua (Fa’alogo), he’s just a great player.

“I believe in them (going all the way).”

Aidan added: “My whole family barracks for the club. I just love rugby – I’ll be playing next year.”

The pair got to meet star players at the club’s open training session this week, including Aidan’s favourite Ryan Papenhuyzen.

A ninth top-of-the-ladder finish this year continued what has been a dominant run for the Storm since its first NRL season in 1998.

Grant said this stellar home-and-away form had given the group confidence heading into the club’s 24th finals series.

“What we’ve been able to achieve throughout the year with consistent performances, the most wins in the competition, it’s pretty big for the group,” he said. “It’s also about taking confidence into this part of the season.”

The club reigns supreme for finals appearances since 2000 – trumping even AFL juggernauts Geelong and Sydney.

Storm has made 22 finals series this century, winning 31 finals matches and three premierships (plus a further two flags that were later stripped due to salary cap infringements).

In comparison, Sydney’s 20 finals appearances since 2000 have yielded 22 wins and two premierships, while Geelong’s record is 19 finals berths, 25 finals wins and four flags.

Earlier in the season, Storm chief executive Justin Rodski said the club considered itself “the Sydney Swans of the NRL” , in relation to “our culture, where we sit on the ladder, the system we have in place and the respect we have in the sporting landscape”.

“It’s something we are very proud of,” he added.

Rodski also revealed to CODE Sports this week that one of the club’s goals was to “purchase the Grand Final from the NRL and take it to the MCG”.

Storm is also having its best-ever year off the field – signing 37,000 members and notching a record average crowd size of 22,000, broadcast audience of 20.3 million and social media following that is second only to the Broncos.

People are only just realising what the 'S' in S Club 7 actually stands for

Pop band S Club 7 was formed in 1998 but many people still have no idea what the band's name actually means – and others have their own theories about the mystery moniker

S Club 7 formed in 1998

S Club 7 became a household name in the late 1990s - but many people still have no idea what the British pop group's name actually means. The group, with its original members including Tina Barrett , Paul Cattermole , Jon Lee , Bradley McIntosh , Jo O'Meara , Hannah Spearritt , and Rachel Stevens , sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.

They won a Brit Award in 2000 for British Breakthrough Act and went on to win Record of the Year just one year later. Their most popular songs include Bring It All Back, You're My Number One, Two in a Million, S Club Party, "Reach, Never Had a Dream Come True, and Don't Stop Movin'.

But despite their success, some people still don't know how the band got its name, prompting one Reddit user to ask: "What does the S in S Club 7 stand for? Does anyone know or is it something that Bradley will take to his grave?" While its real meaning has always been ambiguous, several of the group members have said the S stands for Simon after the group's creator, Simon Fuller.

However, another theory suggests the S stands for 'seven'. But in a December 2012 interview, Bradley McIntosh made everyone second guess the band's name after explaining how Fuller's success has been based on the number 19 (owning 19 Entertainment), suggesting the S was put into S Club 7 because it's the 19th letter of the alphabet.

Sharing their own theories, one social media user said: "The S doesn’t really mean anything." Another added: "I remember them doing an interview where they said the S could stand for anything you wanted it to - so, of course, everybody at school decided on s***".

"I actually liked them at the time so this upset 12-year-old me." A third user said: "For some reason, I always thought the S was supposed to stand for Spice. I'm sure I heard it somewhere, something to do with S Club 7 being a "continuation" of the Spice Girls."
